Lambert inhales again, pinpoints the right direction, and sets off. The stench of the necrophage is strong — all rot and decay and a distinct wrongness that will take him days at least to get out of his noise. It’s enough to set anyone on edge. What's unusual is that with every step towards the monster, the goosebumps on his back increase. Which is, frankly, stupid. He’s not some novice, for all that the others tease him for being young. He doesn’t get scared, doesn’t get chills before hunts. And yet, here he is.
