Summary
Murder in Hogsmeade! Draco read the headline, then the article, knowing that The Daily Prophet was mostly speculating on the death of the child. He had been the one to find the boy, had been the one to capture the supposed murderer. Draco had been in the right place at the right time, or maybe it was the wrong place, wrong time. Because of it, the dead boy, he is speaking to Granger again after over ten years. Draco Malfoy, father, head of the ancient Malfoy Apothecaries, still mourns his beloved wife. But suddenly, he hears Astoria's voice more, and she's telling him to endear himself, again, to Hermione Granger. Would something like a child's murder bring him something worth living for after his wife's death?

Summary
Hermione Granger is done, well, she still has one child to raise, but she is done with the rest of it. Her term as Minister is over, the time line has been saved, she finally got the divorce, and her Rose (too young to marry, in her opinion) is repairing the breach between Weasleys and Malfoys. Life should be wide open to her. And Draco Malfoy, widower, seems like he could be a good friend...until, for an inexplicable reason, she is made to travel through time again. Might it have something to do with Irma Pince showing up at Rose's wedding? Did it have to do with some cosmic joke that she arrived in 1997? She resolutely believes she is too old for this 'shit', but encountering 1997 Severus Snape in a place she did not expect, it, the universe, seems to start to give her the answers she needs.

The room lost depth and sound, flattening into something distant and unreal. He could not move. For a heartbeat too long, he could not think.
Shacklebolt finished his sentence: “—Miss Hermione Granger.”
For an instant the words failed to mean anything at all. They were only sound.
Then meaning arrived, sharp and disorienting. Lucius felt something slip, subtly but decisively, out of alignment.
