Andrew got a thoughtful look on his face and tilted his head as he looked at Carter. His hands moved to his side and Andrew didn’t know what to do with his hands. He made a decision. He sighed and strode toward Carter. Carter was reminded of a predator stalking his prey. Carter stood up straight as Andrew moved into his personal space. Andrew looked at the floor and frowned. His gaze moved back to Carter scrutinizing him. Carter thought that it looked like Andrew could read his mind. Andrew’s hand started and stopped, then moved to gently cup Carter’s face. Carter’s hands moved to Andrew’s hips. Andrew smiled and moved in to give Carter a chaste kiss to his lips. “I’m interested.”

Carl was shoved against the door as soon as he had closed it, Akram’s forearm across his throat, not hard enough to cut off breathing, but hard enough that Carl couldn’t move. In an instant Carl’s instinct to fight kicked in and he struggled against the hold. Akram slotted his body so that he was flush against Carl, trapping him against the door. “We will talk, Carl. I have ensured it. I will not let you go until we talk.”
