    “Not a scribe?” He asks, and I scoff.
    ”Not this far from the archives.” I roll my eyes. Scribes are too busy with the books they spend all day with to remember the real world exists.

    Senior Wingleader Lilith Sorrengail is mere weeks away from graduating from the Rider’s Quadrant of Basgiath War College, when one encounter catches her off her guard and makes her totally reevaluate her world view.

    This is my (pre Onyx Storm) take on how Violet’s parents met, because we don’t (yet?) really know much at all.
    (Update post Onyx Storm - I'm not changing names but I do think the first 3 chapters are consistent with what we learnt in Onyx Storm)
