so, so sweetly horny all the way through. there's so many highlights, the banter, absurd intimacy without arousal or putting together how much they're flirting to one another. then there's these moments, when Beetlejuice has to push back, clearly resentful of the idea some of the softer things reader is saying might just be for the sake of their bet, playing at his heartstrings to get ahead of him. it's a bittersweet thing I always cherish from these fics, how lonely he is and how it shapes soo much about him. i felt it when we were so close to the end and it always overwhelms me a little to the point of being teary. it's a nice aching feeling that always gets suberved by reader finally dating them and it's so, so nice for my little soul
The format of the bet is honestly so smart for a fic. it allows and easy format to push back and forth with flirting and banter and it was so, so fun

The thin material around the front of his slacks is soaked through, he knows you can. “No, it isn’t,” he scoffs, denying it without hesitation. “You’re imagining things.”
“Liar.” You tilt your hips back minutely, just enough to rub up on his spent erection, and Reigen breathes in sharply. “I didn’t realise you were so into ghouls and near death experiences,” you whisper, sounding amused in spite of your annoyance.
“It’s not a ghoul,” Reigen corrects automatically, mouth moving independently of his brain. He swallows thickly and shifts in place. “And even if something like that did happen,” he says, trying to sound dismissive. “It’s because you won’t stop moving, it’s only natural.”
