“Eren, shut up already. He’s not your enemy.”
Fast as anything, Eren deflates. He closes his eyes and it’s like all of the tension has been sucked out of the room, like Armin got his hearing back without ever realizing it’s been gone. He can suddenly hear the distant beeping and dripping in the clinic again.
“It’s easy to forget, you know. That not everyone is.”
“I will never be your enemy,” Armin says, quiet, as he finishes patching Eren up. “Not ever. Not even if everyone else is.”

Summary
Armin Arlert and Eren Jaeger were supposed to go beyond the walls, explore the world, and visit the sea.
All of that was lost when Armin cradled his best friend's decapitated head, 80% of humanity wiped out due to a childhood dream.
