Kie scoffed. "Well, what did you want me to do, huh? Let you be miserable for the rest of your life with a fucked up ankle? Put some ice and say : "Keep icing it, it'll heal."?" she asked. "I can't just ignore the fact that you are in such pain to go take care of myself. I just can't."
"Well, you should!" JJ exclaimed. "I'm useless! All I do is hurt people around me. Nobody cares about me. So, why would you?" he lowered his tone as he was talking.
Kie limped around the couch to go in front of him. "I already told you." she said while holding his face in her hand. "You're my boy, and I love you. I take care of you, just like you take care of me, because it's what we do." she affirmed him.
OR,
JJ got hurt really badly in the motorcycle accident, leading him to the hospital.
What he didn't know, though, was that Kie was also injured. -
