  Summary

  Elsewhere University may be a university atop a Hill, but this does not mean it is not hemmed by a patchwork of other places. After all, there is more than one power in the world, and romanticism for a time of steam, copper, and steel has never left.

  The train tracks might be abandoned, but they are still a border — and that means there is still power in the tracks, whether the passenger service runs or not.
