Levi had no idea how long he’d been staring. Looking, only looking, was enough to arouse him to the point of physical torture. Desire rushed through him, heated his skin and jittered along his nerve endings. Hot, scalding—a relentless yearning that consumed his flesh like a corrupting fire of sin. His pulse was in his ears. His pulse, and the rhythmic sigh of Eren’s sleeping breath.
Freeing himself from the devil’s grasp required a strength Levi did not possess.

Summary
Levi took a deep breath of sea-salted air. Waves lapped at the soles of his boots, dusting the leather with bubbles and sand. This moment. He knew how it went. Eren was troubled, couldn’t get a lick of sleep, haunted by visions and an ocean that wasn’t anywhere near as endless as he had wished. Memories had nothing but blood and horror flashing behind his eyes.
Levi hadn’t known it—there was no way he could have—but now, he did. Eren was already slipping through his fingers and this moment.
This was when Levi should have caught him.
