Bucky closed his eyes, as if asking some higher power for patience. “Sam, this is Yelena Belova.” He opened his eyes and took a step to one side of the door, offering a silent invitation for Sam to come inside. “She’s a Widow.”

Summary
After a year and ten months of following up on leads that led to nothing but ransacked buildings full of decimated HYDRA goons, Sam finds Bucky Barnes when the dude walks right past him dressed in skintight jeans, a jacket straining over the wall of muscle that is his upper body, and leather gloves, and heads into the gay bar next door.
In which Sam finds Bucky before the events of Civil War, and what they do in Paris has a profound effect on how the next several years of their lives go. Written as a companion story to the films and the series, canon compliant with a whole lot of secret feelings.
