    Regulus spent most of his childhood learning about things children shouldn’t learn about. There was the cruelty, and the pain, but there was also the horribly boring stuff like French and Latin and the goddamn dictionary. Regulus was seven using words like insipid and derivative and reverence. 

     

    The dictionary says reverence means to admire and respect deeply. The dictionary is wrong; it was James Potter who taught him reverence.
