"You were so small. You barely took up space in our bed." He says, right hand shaking. "But your fucking elbows and your knees hurt like hell. I used to hold you on the real cold nights, you'd be pressed right into me, felt like you were made to fill that space." A shuddering inhale tells him he's right, and the full body tremors tell him that Steve wants to cry but he's holding himself back.
"You used to snore right in my damn ear."
"You'd elbow me until I stopped." Bucky laughs at the memories, feeling the ghost of a sharp elbow digging into his hip.
"It was gonna wake the neighbors!" Steve protests, and he can feel that sunshine smile on his hair.Series
