There's this old wives' tale that says when a person meets their soulmate, they start craving the foods that person is craving. Castiel thinks it's dumb, that meeting someone he's apparently destined to be with couldn't make him want food he wouldn't normally care about, but that doesn't stop him from craving pie all the time.
