The OB, as soothingly as possible, tries to be encouraging from her perch between Tasha's legs.
"Rest for two minutes, Natasha...Dad, can you give her ice chips, wipe her brow?"

 

A cold wet towel on her forehead, and a mouthful of ice chips soothes Tasha Zapata's distress somewhat.
"Why is your son being so obstinate, this is really disrespectful!", she complains. The anesthesia Nurse, Joy

Once the umbilical cord is clipped and placed in a sterile container for the couple to take with them (The
Weller's had made Reade promise not to leave the umbilical with the hospital-see the end notes for why)
a Nurse hands the bawling newborn over: "Here he is, Dad-all clean and ready to be fed! Congratulations!

 

Tasha eagerly reaches for her and Reade's Son-the excruciating delivery already fading into memory. Her eyes are full of wonder, gazing at the curly-haired Little Man.

"What a handsome Man!" Dr. Liza Shandler, the OB admires the fruit of her efforts. "What's his name?"

 

"Edgar Elias Reade Zapata-EJ" Tasha can't take her eyes off her new charge, suckling contentedly at
her breast.

Nearly from the moment they arrived Nada Hughes and Jolee Ripley took complete control of Victoria
(Hughes) Ripley (there wasn't much that her OBGYN Dr. DeLuca could do even if she tried), making circuits of
the corridors inside and outside, top to bottom...Father Eddard and Brother E.J. (Eddard Jr), E.J.'s fiancee Desere
Cho, Andrea Herrera (there for her own pre-natal visit), and Maya Bishop...Maya hangs about, hoping for a
chance to get to plead her case to DeLuca).

 

Travis Montgomery's 'wellness check' is interrupted by Miranda Bailey-before he can flee, she calls "EPEPEPEP!
Are you an OB? Any medical training? Birthed a child? I need YOU to verify that my Obsterics Department is up to
the challenge of doing their jobs?!!-"

 

Hearing the commotion while exiting her appointment, Any and Carina quickly scurry back inside. "I SEE YOU, Herrera

"On August 29th, 2020 my sons-Clint and Victor Ripley-were shot by masked thugs now identified as
members of the so called 'boogaloo' terrorist group as they waited for a traffic signal to change on Hawthorne
Blvd in Portland Oregon. Clinton John, our older son is dead, and his brother...SORRY...Victor John is in hospital
Portland Memorial's intensive care unit. The out-pouring of support from the Mayor's offices, the Fire Departments
of Portland and Seattle, and the friends of families of Victoria and myself are overwhelming. What we don't need are

only 17 months between them; they were like twins'...even now Little Vic is inconsolable. All that we want is for law enforcement
took quickly identify and arrest those responsible, and for pundits of whichever political bent: don't speculate about my sons, of
which you KNOW NOTHING. My sons were both active in social justice, though not involved in the protests taking place blocks
away-that narrative is a disgusting and despicable attempt to somehow justify what happened...to justify the unjustifiable.

Sully and his wife Andrea Herrera are there to drive them home. Ryan Tanner provided a police escort to clear the way.

"Whatever you need , Rip", Sully says quietly, from the front seat.

"ANYTHING", Andrea adds. "Marco and Marlena are at the, the hospital with Little Vic...Niño flies in at 10; he's going directly
to the hospital from the airport. Chief, Victoria..I can't stop crying..."

"You too have been our rock. The boys love you so much; CJ loved you like family.

Canted sideways on the passenger side of the front seat, Andy says to both Ripleys "And we love them. We love CJ still."

Lucas speaks for the first time in over an hour: "I can't look at him. I can't see my boy between life and death; all of those, those TUBES...tubes..."

'It's OK, Brother. We'll all go in the morning, to see him."

"Yeah. Good."

There's plenty of food at Robert and Andy's (the Ripley's can't bear to stay at their home, with memories of their sons
filling it). Sisters Jen and Andrea, along with their familes, are already there entertaining family, the many guests and well-
(his sister Pippa's flight was delayed, his aprents are there, though).

Out of nowhere, Jen son blurts "Remember that time we tried to cook some lizards, and set that vacant house on fire?!"

Lucas corrected her: "We tricked Drea into getting some kighter fluid from Dad's stash!"

"Riiight-Dad shit WHEELBARROWS over that! It was a vacant house; the owners ran out of money or something"...

Barking a laugh, Sully joins in. "We found an old cheapo barbeque grill in what was gonna be the basement, had used
charcoal still in it...and whatchu mean 'WE' White Woman? YOU sent Drea for the lighter fluid and matches!"

"Anyway-a match was thrown, and the grill flares up..."

 

To the assembled group, Lucas breaks in to set the record straight: "JEN threw a match after soaking the damn charcoal
way more than necessary-it flared up, scaring her, and she knocked it over...the wood was so dry, before we knew
it one side was a sheet of fire"...

"So we 'burn' outta there; the neighborhood I will news reporter aka fucking busybody , Mrs Betts has
already called Mrs. Ripley, my Mom, and Claire's Mom before we were even halfway up the street so there's no way
out after that", said Robert.

Smiling at the memory Jen says, "The kicking you gave us Dad! It's funny now, not so much then."

Deapan, Mr Ripley says simply 'That bill from the fire department was $3,500!"

"Luke, Victoria... I gotta do something; tell me what to do, Man-please...Vic?," Sullivan begs.

 

Their eyes meet and lock, breifly, first, husband, then wife. "I understand", he says.

Chapter 5: ROSILLA/ANNALISE VILLA AND BEAUMONT ROSEWOOD JR

Chapter 6: ROWATER/VANESSA ROJAS AND KEVIN ATWATER

Summary:

Adam Ruzek and Kim (first to coin the term 'Burzek') for their
own relationship have dubbed the pairing of Vanessa Rojas and
Kevin Atwater 'RoWater' and it's catching on.

"Shiiit; SHIT!" Atwater attempts to back out of Vanessa Rojas' tightening clasp on his buried penis,
and is shockingly thwarted when her strong legs lock around him, so that he has no choice except to
'sneeze' inside her..."It's OK, it's OK", she whispered into his ear. "Don't worryi wanted this-just like
this." (the one enconter when they lack a condom, both understand that Rojas' birth control is their

Chapter 7: THE VILLAGE-AVA BEHZADI AND BEN JONES

Summary:

Ava wants Ben to try for a job within the NYPD that is less dangerous, now
that they have a ten-month old son in addition to Sami.

Anxiously, Ava waits for the connection to be picked up; that tiny voice speaks up, the one that haunts her sleep 'آنها به او شلیک کردند'
(they've shot him)... تمام شد؛ او مرده (It's over; he's dead)...she disconnects up from the mobile to mobile attempt, and dials the precinct
landline..."15th Precinct, Sgt Mackovich."

"Sgt, Hi...my name is Ava Behzadi...I can't reach Ben Jones; he's my, um...my..."

"Your Partner" Sgt Mackovich helpfully (and kindly) interjects.

"Yes, thank you, Sgt."

"When he comes on the line before he can speak a word she shouts "BEN JONES!! تو مرا تا حد مرگ ترسانده ای !! (You have scared me to death!)
Do you know..."

"Baby! I'm fine-what's this all about?!"

 

"I-I am so afraid when you leave, for duty. I hoped you would...take a position inside the police station, now that we have Amir, and with
with another coming..."

The sudden staccato of gunfire interrupts Ava; then: 'Jones! To the front! Rojas, Banderas-back him up!'...and the line goes dead...

"BEN! BEN!" She tries to call back, and discovers that the call has been routed to 1 PP (1 Police Plaza).

Outside the precinct, Ben and his colleagues repel members of The Proud Boys and The NY Nazi Brigade, riddling them with rubber,
bullets, tear gas, riot shotguns, and semi-automatic pistols; the final body count is four alt-right attackers dead, six wounded. All six
were arrested and the threat averted.

By the time the gun battle and arrests are completed, Ava has bundled Sammi and Little Azir into their SUV and driven to the precinct.
On the way, Sammi noticed her left leg jittering up and down. "Are you okay, Mommy? (مادر خوبی؟?)

"OH...Yes, my Darling I am only a little concerned about Dad. "It's fine." Glancing into the rear-view mirror she says to Amir "سلام امیر

Sammi played with his little brother the rest of the way to the precinct. He and his mom are so relieved to see Ben safe and un-

Chapter 8: STATION 19-JENNA MATSON AND RYAN TANNER

Summary:

Jenna Matson wants..NAY-NEEDS-to know that her baby's father, Ryan
Tanner is fully over Andy Herrera (Sullivan) and ready to dedicated him-
self (again-FULLY) to her and their son Jochim.

The big question in Jenna Matson's mind is whether her boyfriend can actually be content with her and Jochim. His
return to San Jose after the Seattle debacle had been...ROCKY, not to put too fine a point on it. He finally convinced her
of his sincerity and after five months she accepted him back. Three months later she became pregnant, and she delivered
just as COVID-19 became 'a thing". 'JoJo' is an active, happy, and ALWAYS HUNGRY young fellow with the dark Italian looks
of his Grandmother on his father's side; Jenna's parent's genetic contributions are chocolaty slightly almond eyes and a
light golden skin hue.

He's watching the Seattle Seahawks march downfield when she sits beside him and asks: "Are you HAPPY, Ry? I mean REALLY
HAPP?"

"Just a second, Babe", he interrupts, his eyes still glued to the big screen telly: (JOE BUCK narrates the action: "Wilson rolling left-
(Ndamukong) Suh crashes through and in hot pursuit...Russel Wilson pump-fakes and he's on the move!... Past his own 40, forced
forced out by (Jason) Pierre-Paul: at the...48 and a half-all the way from his defensive end position..THERE'S SOME HUSTLE, TROY!'
'I couldn't have said it better, Joe...it's the quickness and decision-making of Russell that turns this play around...Suh was through
that make-shift offensive line right as Russell dropped back, flushing him...to the right the way they planned-he's just so dynamic
in the open field that if JPP doesn't get on HIS bike and run him down we could very likely have gotten a chunk more')...

"I wonder sometimes...the way you acted at their reception"...

"Whose?" He feigns confusion.

WHOSE ? FUCKING VICTORIA Hughes ? We're playing games now?"

"Andy and Sullivan...okay...if I acted strangely, I apologize. I had convinced myself, with help from Pruitt-her dad and my
father figure she and I would eventually be together. And that was sort of encouraged from early on-I mean age eight or
nine-and built on when we reconnected after she came back to Seattle, after her degree. And no matter who she'd be with,
or I'd be with...our fathers never stopped pushing that narrative. From the time Sullivan, her husband arrived at 19 there
was SOMETHING...you could see it, I noticed it...and the last part of that, right when you and I started going out, was more
to say goodbye , if that makes sense. And yeah Pruitt had some hope that what he'd hoped for would
come true, and you know the rest."

"She told you the SHE'S NEVER BEEN IN LOVE BEFORE HIM. Not with you, or anyone."

"RIGHT...rub it in, a little harder", he joked.

"Love the one you're with, Tanner, hmmm?" Can you do that?"

"I love you, and the baby, Jen. 'll do better to prove that, I promise."

Chapter 9: STATION 19/GREY'S ANATOMY-MAYA/CARINA/JACKSON

Summary:

Maya and Carina conceive a child with the use of Jackson Avery's 'seed'
(and via a mutually agreed on threeway-THREE TIMES THE CHARM 😉!)
resulting in the birth of Rocco Andrea Giovanni Bishop-DELuca.

Katherine Bishop never imagined that she'd have a grandchild (from MAYA, no less!) and she can't be more thrilled
than to watch Rocco Jackson Andrea Deluca Bishop wobbling about on his chubby little legs: he brings her a hand-
full o dirt and leaves, which she exclaims over as if he'd presented her with the most precious and rarest of exotic plants.

 

"My goodness, what a clever fellow you are, Rocco! show your Mommies."

 

Carina says to him "Oh che meraviglia! bel regazzo: how wonderful my beautiful boy...see Maya-SO CLEVER our little

Maya joins in the praise of the little boy, who is delighted by the shower o attention. They are about to have lunch when Jackson
Avery, Rocco's father calls. "Ciao, Jackson; come stai?"

"Very much so, and we have you to thank." She motions for Maya to come closer and share in the facetime call. "Hey' May...
I'm checking in, and to make sure that we're still in agreement about Rocco."

"We are," both women say at the same time. "You can see Rocco at anytime-of course he should know you", Maya said.

"You guys are the greatest", the surgeon says, his voice full of emotion.

"YOU were so generous to allow us to use your...essence" interjects Carina.

"Happy to do it. I'd like to come by on Sunday for a short visit if that's okay...Jo's ex-mother in law passed and she has to
fly to Orange county."

Maya steps away from the call to bring their son over to say hello to his dad: "KOH-TEE!" he shouted, touching his mother's
telephone screen. "SIF du kee luhh!"

"Little man!" Jackson hails. "Papà ti vede" (Daddy sees you). "Oh oh-stai ingrassando." (you're getting fat).

"Suu-Tav!" Rocco retorted, kicking his little legs gleefully. "Cattivo papà-non ascoltarlo piccolo!"-what a rude daddy; don't listen

Summary:

Parent's Night Out at the city's hottest dance club

There are about a half-dozen couples on the dance floor when Vic and Lucas walk through the doors of CLUB JYP JYP
(pronounced 'JeepJeep'): 'Surrera', 'Marina' among them (Miranda Bailey and Ben Warren join then them a few moments later)...
The song playing is a raunchy tune by E. U. called 'Doin' The Butt':

 

Walked in this place, surprised to see a big girl gettin' busy-Just rockin' to the go-go beat

Vic sings softly to her husband, both hands stroking his short beard lovingly; on one side of them Andy lifts her face for a
passionate kiss before re-placing her head on Robert's chest. Taller, brunette maliciously HOT Carina has one hand on Maya's waist,
the other on her buttocks; she pulls her girlfriend closer against her and the delicious pressure on her nipples cause the blonde woman
to muffle her gasp against Carina's blouse...Miranda and Bem have pretty much ceased moving-barely swaying with their noses rubbing
together (whispered endearments the backdrop of the powerful love ballad)...

As the others make their way back to tables Travis says to Emmett "Hey Probie...I never said how much you've helped me this past

The club is dark enough so that Travis can swipe his hand across the other ma's groin and escape notice. He mutters: "UN-RANKED
can go home alone: 'probie' is invited to spend the night."

"Hmmm-there's THAT"...

After a visit to the restroom, the women pull out cell phones to check on their children: "Wouldn't someone have called if there was
an issue?" Emmett (foolishly) wondered aloud. To a woman Andrea, Carina, Maya, Vic, and Miranda round on him, eyes narrowed.
The young man shuts his mouth immediately, realizing his error.

~Another hour?~, Andy asks her husband. They settle on forty-five minutes (he realized that she's feeling anxious about the children

Lucas says ~We should think about getting home soon. I've noticed you checking your phone every half hour.~ She smiled her thanks .

As Ben and Miranda take their leave, Maya and Carina finish THEIR cocktails-Carina feels more and more guilty about leaving their son .

By twenty after two in the morning the rest of the revelers are heading home, grateful for one night away from their offspring but
anxious to get back to them also.

Andy and Sullivan are the late arrivals one month later at the same nightclub; Andy quickly joins Vic, Maya, Carina,
Travis, Emmett, Nico, Levi, and Teddy on the packed dancefloor. Sullivan gets the ear of a server and points-out
the group clustered around multiple tables in the VIP section, then joins them, beer in hand. "DA BEE-CEE!" Dean
says through cupped hands, and by the way the rest of the men and women assembled greet him (and the numerous 'dead
soldiers' clustered on the tabletops) he surmised that most of them are seriously tipsy on the way to really drunk.

 

Jack surmised that Surrera's late arrival is due to hanky-panky, and rather than answer affirmative or negative, Robert takes a
long pull of his beer, earning a round of hoots from the rest. Link's head lolls on Amelia Sheperd's shoulder, and every so often
he belches good-naturedly (Amelia's response is a tipsy giggle). "UBER!" Maggie Pierce cackled aloud, despite being shushed by
her fiance Winston Ngodu. Jack tries to keep the banter about Andy and Robert going but Inara tells "SHAD-DAP!-you're TOO
INVESTED in that, Lieutenant!"

 

By the time 'Ready Set Go' ends and segues into some lame Taylor Swift 'song' the dancers report back to the table, glowing
from exertion. Ripley glanced at his phone, the catches Sully's eye, and mouthed 'two', raising two fingers at the same time. Sully
nodded that he understood. "Switch with me, Baby?" Honoring her request he scoots out of the booth so that she and Vic are side
by side chatting about their planned 'childbearing cleanse' (after TONIGHT, of course)...

Inara switches with Jack so that she can lend her experience with Marcus to the discussion; Jack is happy to talk with the other men
about the Seattle Mariner's prospects to improve on their 3rd place finish from the previous campaign. In a far corner of the place
Marina engaged Travis and Emmett in a game of pool, during which Schmitt and Nico simply... disappear ...
Maya whoops with glee when Carina sinks a difficult bank shot to tie the foursome two games to two, rewarding her with a kiss
moments before 'In Da Club' (the remix featuring Mary J Blige and Beyonce sanwichd around 50 Cent's rap) sends most of the seated
club patrons to the dance floor:

providing competition. SURRERA incorporate a healthy dose of salsa into their hip hop, and Ripley is more than a capable partner
for Vic (having spent so much time hanging out with Sully over the years):
