You insert the earpiece and lean back.
Your client is logged in, waiting. Fifteen minutes early.
"Ready?"
"Yeah."
Your hearing goes dead first. Then, each of your senses detach and you're plunged into nothing.
Your eyes flick open, showing your client's laptop and room. You steady your breath forcibly, listening to Dirk gasp and sputter on the other end of the line.
You sit up, examining yourself - or, at least, you examine the body in which you now reside. Dirk's body.

In this world, demons have been accepted into society--mostly. There are still some who go out of their way to make the demons' lives harder. For example, the Hunters--an infamous, anonymous group known for targeting demons and killing them without repercussion.
But then one of the leading members falls in love with a demon, and bears a child. The member was executed, but the child was kept alive. Kept alive and tortured by one of the other leading members.

"What would you say to her if Ai's here right in front of you?" The interviewer asks, curious.
Ruby swallows and smiles right through the camera. "I hope you're proud of me and Aqua wherever you are." She chokes out. "I love you, mama."
Or a rewrite of Oshi no ko wherein Aqua and Ruby are both treated as dual protagonists, the plot balanced between the entertainment industry and revenge (and much later, the supernatural elements). A slow burn story.

Lost and eager to return to Costa Rica, he stumbles upon a lost ancient city frozen in time, in which a presence seems to call out to him.
Reaching out a hand to unknowingly and unwillingly offer his aid to the calls for help, he begins an unlikely alliance with not only a fabled God, but a village of his loyal followers. Who, in a turn of events, believe Leonardo to be the deity himself in the flesh.
Now he's found himself in a predicament where he's worshipped for a role that isn't his own, befriended by the only people who can help him though this troubling endeavour, all while he has to figure out just what this great God wants from him.
Because he only wants to return to his legacy back in Costa Rica, but it seems he has a duty to carry out first before he can go anywhere, whether he wants to or not.
