The Hound from Hell

Summary:

Not everyone treats quirked children with amazed eyes and words of praise. If a child were to show a truly exceptional quirk then sure nothing but songs of praise will reach their ears. They sit on the top of thrones made of those below them. Others aren't so lucky.

Those with weak or no quirks at all are treated like servants, paper pushers, and anything else that could be considered demeaning to a human. They lay on the bottom of the hierarchy. There to hold up the thrones of the more powerful.

And finally, the lowest of the low. Those who are pushed off and abandoned. Left forgotten and alone amongst the thousands of broken souls. With powers that aren't necessarily weak or extraordinary. It's just these powers, these people, these children, possess are deemed evil, different, too outside the norm for the stereotypical good to accept the power these kids were born with.

Though for now please enjoy this new fic of mine ^^

Chapter Text

A small bar in a bad part of town was being subjected to the harsh flashing lights of police cars and the demanding yells of police officers. A fight broke out between a couple of drunks and they had used their quirks.

Though it wasn't anything new. It happened frequently enough at that bar and all the other ones around. Hardly anyone ever actually calls the police, though it happened to get bad enough to warrant their presence and a couple of sidekicks to boot.

Though no one outside the conflict paid mind to the commotion. Much like the small figure that was walking away briskly from the commotion. They weren't very large or tall. They were small with a black hoodie that swallowed their form, skinny jeans that hugged their legs and revealed pale white skin in the rips, finally they also had long pointed ears on the top of their head sticking out from under the hood, and a fluffy tail that swayed behind them. It wasn't too much of a guess to say the figure was a young teen.

It was late at night with no stars being seen in the skies. Nothing but the endless black void making up the sky. It wasn't a very comforting thing but neither was the sirens of more police cars showing up. The sound echoing off the walls of the large crumbling old buildings along with the bang of distant gunshots. A gangster fight further away?

It didn't matter, none of it mattered as it wasn't anything new. It's just how this neighborhood worked and the teen continued on their way. Not stopping to stare at police cars rushing past to deal with drunks and dumb minor villains. Not risking a peek down alleyways filled with crookes, hookers, and hobos. No, they continued with a single designation in mind.

They finally did stop. Stopped momentarily in front of a small two story building. It was just as old as the others around but a bit smaller and more worn down. A small concrete porch with broken rusted railing led up to an old moldy door. A flickering light hung above the door with moths fluttering around it. Casting an ominous lighting to the porch.

Not waiting for a second the teen walked up the concrete steps, their tail and ears shining a green sheen under the poor flicker light. The teen grabbed the door handle and slid in through the door. The handle was broken and it was pointless to replace it.

Once inside, the teen crouched down and took off the beaten up old red sneakers. Leaving the shoes at the door. They crept quietly along the filthy wooden floors. Being Careful of the floorboards that creaked and the several piles of trash and broke random things around. With the swiftness of a fox and grace like a cat. The teen made their way up the stairs and down the cramped hall to the first door on the right.

Slipping in, the teen was nearly knocked off their feet by two small kids. A boy and a girl. "Nii-san! Your back!" The two happily chimed quietly.

The boy has long silvery white hair that reached his shoulders. He also has healed ripped skin around his mouth exposing his teeth through the stretched holed skin on either side of his face. He wore a large old dark blue shirt that ended just above his knees and a pair of old patterned Gang Orca pajama pants. He was silent but you could tell he was trying to smile with his damaged face.

The girl is a couple inches taller then the other boy. She has the head of a frilled lizard and a long whip thin tail wagging happily behind her. Her scales were a pretty scarlet that matched with her spiky raven black hair that reached her mid back. A large ripped red shirt was on her shoulders as well with Ryuko printed pajama pants. Though unlike the other she had no problems smiling with her scaly snout and chattering happily up at the older teen. "Did you get us food? Did you, did you?!"

The older teen pulled his hood down to reveal curly black locks with a green sheen, freckles dusted his cheeks and nose giving some color to his pale skin. Other than the large bags under his large kind emerald green eyes, that shined with happiness at the two kids. He smiled down at them, sharp fangs revealed in the toothy smile. "Just a second. You have to let me sit down first." Neither kid was afraid of the kind fanged smile.

The two kids hung on the older and refused to let go. Though it didn't seem like the older mind, his tail was wagging lazily behind him. As he held them up in his arms securely. Both kids giggling in delight.

Their room was square in shape, it was also small and bare. Though it definitely had more space then anywhere else in the building. There was a small twin sized bunk bed that hugged the right side of the room a pink and blue blanket on the respected beds claimed by the two younger kids. An old wooden desk got the opposite wall. It was clearly well used as papers, pens, and pencils were strewn atop it. Right next to the desk is another slightly larger mattress on the floor. There were no blankets on this bed. Only a very flat pillow that could hardly be called a pillow at this point sat on it.

Avoiding the very few toys they actually had on the floor. The older boy sat down on the old floor mattress. The two kids sat on either side. Both were practically vibrating with excitement. Making the older teen chuckle quietly. "Hold on a second. I did manage to get some stuff…."

The older teen dug through the pockets of his large jacket. He finally pulled out two large slightly smashed sandwiches and a bag of small mixed candy. The two kids eyes widen at the sight of the candy. The small boy spoke softly. "You got candy? How?"

The girl, Fujun Kemono, also looked amazed. She was practically drooling at the sight of the sugary tooth rotting treats. "How did you do that Nii-san?"

Smiling, he handed them each their sandwiches. The two grabbed them quickly and chow down on the offered food. "The convent store worker gave them to me. It's candy they couldn't sell because the owners canceled selling the product."

The boy, Minato Aito, looked up from his food. He was having to chew more slowly and carefully then Fujun. After all, he did have several holes in his cheeks. Though he looked curious. He was always eager to learn more. "Why?"

The older teen, Midoryia Izuku, happily explained it to Minato. "Sometimes the people who pull the strings don't like something and therefore remove that item from the store. But the worker didn't want to throw perfectly good candy away. So she gave it to me for you two."

Minato hummed and nodded. His eyes trailing the floorboards below him. "Cool. Can I have a jaw breaker?"

Fujun was nearly half way done with her food. Her vicious eating habits reflect her fiery personality. She jumped in for the chance of sugar too."Can I have some gummies!!"

"Finish eating your sandwiches first." Izuku playfully scolded them. Popping a mint into his mouth he grinned at their distraught faces. "Then you can have a piece of candy each."

"Ok!" Both kids turned back to their food with eagerness.

Izuku looked towards their bedroom door. He frowns as he listens to the happenings in the rest of the house. His ears facing forward to catch the littlest of sounds beyond the door.

"Has Tamashi bugged you guys at all since I left?" He asked when he knew both kids were done eating their sandwiches.

Minato shifted with unease at the name of that woman. With a quiet voice he responded to the question. "She was yelling about something earlier but she didn't come in here."

"I think she's still awake…" Fujun cherped. Her face scrunched in consecration. Her forked tongue flicked out a few times and she finally gave up on her concentration. A disgusted look on her face as she rubbed her nose. "I can't really tell."

Izuku nodded and patted them both on the head ruffling their hair. With a small smile he gave them both two pieces of the candy they wanted.

He turned to Fujun, his right ear lopping to the side. "Remind me to help you with honing your senses during are free time tomorrow outside, ok?"

Nodding an excited ok in response. He gave her an encouraging smile. It has less teeth than his earlier smile. He stands up from the bed and makes his way back to the door.

"I'll be back in a moment."

He can sense that they're tense and the familiar smell linked to fear reaches his nose. He can't comfort them. It's a stab to his gut that he can't reassure them. He can't tell them he's gonna be ok cause he can't be sure physically (and he just won't go into his mental problems. That's for him to deal with on his own.)

Carefully walking through and closing the door behind him. Izuku walks back down the cramped cluttered hallway and down barely there stairs. Once in the unrecognizable kitchen. He turns to a different door on the other side of the kitchen. He makes his way over and pushes the door open slowly. Making his steps heard this time as he slipped into the dark room.

An old woman is seated on an old recliner chair in the far corner of the small rectangular room. A simple wooden cane leaned against the nearby table stand that sat next to a large bed. The room was only lit by the lamp on the side table. Though in the dim lighting you could make out other pieces of furniture, large bookcases filled with books, and random trinkets.

The old woman was dressed in a simple nightgown with an ugly pattern of flowers with equally ugly colors. Her silvery gray hair came down to her shoulders. Large thick glasses were perched on her narrow nose as she stared down at the hardback book in her lap. Her hands ran along the pages. Her nails unusually large and curved hung off the book as her fingertips glided over the page.

He stayed by the door, keeping his ears pressed against his head and forced his tail to remain still and out of sight behind him. "Miss Tamashi did you need something?" His voice was quiet and soft. It might have been a bit cold and void but it was better he talked the way she wanted him to.

The lady didn't immediately look up from her book. Though she finally did mark her page and looked up to meet around where his gaze was. Her eyes are a milky violet color. They were unsettling to look at so he just looked at her weirdly shaped star nose.

It seemed like it took her a while to recognize who stood before her, but it wasn't questioned. Pushing up her glasses, she smiled overly sweetly at him. Her crooked teeth did nothing to help with her overall appearance. "Yes. I was hoping you could go shopping tomorrow. My back and knees are acting up again…"

Izuku hums and nods his head, never taking his eyes off the older woman. "Sure thing. You want anything to eat?"

She looked thoughtful for a moment. One of her hands gliding to her side table. Nails catching the wood making small gashes in the wood, something that the table has seen a lot of. Her nails lightly bumped a pill bottle near the middle of the table. The few pills in it moved and clicked against the plastic.

"I could use some food with my pills… if it isn't too much of a bother."

"None at all." Izuku says still quiet and cold. His tail itched to move and wag to get rid of his unease. Though he kept the urge buried. He really didn't wanna deal with spooking the blind woman and potentially having a broken tail again. (Though that's not really what happens. No he's attacked for his mutations)

"What have the pests been up to?" She asked suddenly and rather cruelly. She was now looking up, glaring at the roof. The wood is faintly heard creaking. It's from all the junk that's in this building. Too much trash and junk, it's gonna collapse in on itself some day.

He shakes his head to get free from his troubled wandering thoughts. "Minato and Fujun haven't been bothering me. There good kids." He easily defends his siblings. No they were never a bother to him and would never ever be to him.

She swears that the names mentioned. Though ultimately moves her head in a way that says she's done with him. "Whatever."

He'd bows his head in submission. Finally taking his eyes off her for the first time and is instead looking to the trash and paper covered floor. "Do you need anything else?"

"No."

"Ok."

He takes his leave after that. When the door closes behind him he can't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Miss Tamashi was in a passive mood tonight. He wouldn't have to deal with injuries from her tonight. He wouldn't have to rush Fujun and Minato out the window to their back up home.

No tonight it was gonna be a calm night. A much needed and long over do night in his opinion. But it's gonna be calm regardless.

He gets to work on making her a small bowl of ramen with the only burner that's kept clean and cleared off.

He can't wait tell he's a hero and can leave this place with his siblings. They all and everyone else like them deserves a better life. Deserves an opportunity to find their true family.

Name: Izuku Midoriya

Quirk: Hellhound

Quirk type: mutation transformation

Description: User shares similarities with both foxes and wolves. When fully transformed User is about 6ft 10inchs tall and about 8ft long excluding the tail. Their fur is black with a green under coat and an even darker green sheen, under the eyes are bright green lines that line the bottom of the eyes. User has the slick build of a fox but the muscle and audited of a wolf with a large narrow but powerful snout, large ears, long thin legs, large wide paws, and a long fluffy fox like tail.

User is also typically on fire when transformed. The top of the mane of fur going to the shoulders, the elbows joints on all legs and paws, and last but not least from the tip of Users tail up to their hunches are all burning with green tinted fire. The few cases where user wouldn't be on fire would be if the user willed for their form to not be in flames or if there is enough water around to douse the flames, though that would require a lot of water. With both cases User would still be burning hot to the touch.

The user's base form has long fox-like ears, claws, and a tail similar to a wolf. Users also have a higher body temp than others, though it doesn't risk burns to others. In this form it is harder for the user to light their hair on fire but it can happen with enough negative or strong emotions. Though in this form the user does have small pyrokinetic abilities. They are able to bend nearby sources of fire. When under User's control the flames will get a green tint to them.

Drawbacks: if User were to get sick instead of getting feverish, User will experience the opposite and get severely cold. With Users' higher body temp, a cold flash can be potentially lethal to User. User may have mostly a fox's looks but they certainly have the audited and instincts of a wolf. The instincts can get violent and hard to control but, User also shares the more motherly-side of a wolf as well.

Chapter 2: Another day in hell

Notes:

This chapter was exactly 6,666 words long. I didn't do that on purpose but I'm super proud of that fact you don't even know.

So this took abit longer then expected to get out. A few other fic ideas that I'm now working on kinda got in the way and I will be working on another older fic of mine... yeah nobody's probably gonna be happy with that sadness of that fic but hey you all here for this fic current ^^

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

After walking Minato and Fujun to their school. Izuku loathed for his turn to walk the steps to his own school. He hates this place with a burning passion. Alberta middle school is a public school where teachers don't care about stopping bullying or helping out the teens that fall behind. So long as there weren't too many distractions in class they didn't care. Some of the teachers even encouraged the bad behavior among the teens.

This made it easier for everyone to pick on lonely little him. He was a soon to be villain in the collective mind of his peers. Some even claiming he already was one. It was all due to the functions of his quirk and his past. He could potentially severely burn people with just a touch if he didn't keep his body temperature constantly in check. He also shared similar characteristics with a wolf, a dangerous animal many still fear and miss judge. Even if he would argue he had more fox than wolf traits. He also had predatory instincts. Which sounds way worse than what it really was.

Plus the rumors that he is an orphan didn't help much either. While true that he is an orphan, the reasons as to why he was spread about are all wrong and sickening to him.

"Hey look it's the villain."

"- burned her to ash?"

"-house down too."

"Nobody wants him."

"He lives in the bad neighborhood-"

"Villain"

"Plays with fire-"

"Monster"

It's all things outside of his control. He couldn't control what he got as a quirk and how his peers feared and disliked it. He couldn't control the fact his mom died and no one in the family wanted anything to do with him. Honestly if any of his peers, anyone at all, even attempted to get to know him. They'd find out the truth about his mother's passing, the true light of his situation.

But nobody cares. Not the teachers, not his fellow classmates, not his ex-best friend who refuses to see him for him. Honestly the only ones who cared would be Minato and Fujun. They and all the other kids like them are the reason Izuku keeps moving forward. Why he even wants to be a hero anymore.

And why he probably acts like a mother hen when he deems himself responsible for any living thing. His adopted siblings and the stray cats in their area would know that better than anyone else.

The best school to make all his goals possible would be UA. He hopes UA will see him for his talents and goals. Hope they can see the truths shrouded in all the lies. Though he won't know, tell he actually enrolls and gets potentially accepted in. For now he has to settle for the shitty public middle school.

Surprisingly enough, his day was starting out halfway decent for once. He actually made it on time before the first period bell. He did have to deal with paper balls and pencils thrown at him. He was eventually irritated enough that the next paper balls thrown at him combusted into flames when they make contact with his head. It earned himself a stern talking to from his Sensei but he was indifferent to that same old speech.

Second period wasn't as bad. Less objects thrown at him. He did have to deal with the "group" project that he and another were supposed to do. He only got half credit because his partner didn't do anything under the guise that Izuku kept pushing her out of the project. Lies but he kept calm and quiet.

The other periods leading to lunch went much the same. Beside the one pop quiz in math. He couldn't understand how nobody thought their Sensei wouldn't do it when he's done a quiz around this time every two weeks.

Lunch he spent on the roof avoiding everyone. The small store bought bento wasn't very filling but it was better than starving. He also spent some time practicing control over his quirk. Nothing too big or noticeable though. He didn't want to be found out or damage anything. Last thing he needed was to be blamed for Bakugou's vandalism tendencies. Though if anyone found strange burnt hand and paw prints on the rooftop. Well no one would really care and be none the wiser.

After lunch there were only 2 more classes. The first class went by much the same as everything else. Though things happened in the last period of the day. A lot of things that wouldn't be forgotten for a long while.

Sensei was starting a lecture about their life goals and futures. It was looking to be a really boring half hour. Sensei was getting into the topic of their high school of choice and how that would affect their lives. He was getting ready to pass out thick packets when he suddenly threw them into the air with a dramatic flare. "What am I talking about, you all want to be heroes."

The responding cheers and activation of all his peers' quirks made his large tufted ears flinch at the volume. Wanting to avoid going deaf he covered his ears to muffle the voices around him. He could still hear them but at least they didn't sound like they were all simultaneously yelling straight into his ears at once.

After a moment another voice came over the others with a small explosion. Izuku flinched at the sound and kept his head down. Bakugou Katsuki was now in the spotlight.

Bakugou had his feet on his desk and leaning back in his chair. His face held a cocky smirk on his face, a prideful glint in his red eyes. His eyes looked bright under the shade his blond spiky hair was giving. Making his eyes practically glow. He was the very definition of delinquent in Izuku's book.

Though once upon a time, that hot-headed blond was his best friend. Once upon a time, he would have called him Kacchan. Though that name belonged to the memory of his friend from a long time ago.

The blond here now wasn't that boy from his memories. This was Bakugou, and Bakugou stared down their Sensei and spoke with his usual cockiness. "Hey teach, don't lump me with these extras. We all know they're destined to be sidekicks to some triple digit ranked nobody hero."

There were several yells of anger directed at the blond. Some bravely pointing out the flaw in his attitude and that it would hinder him in the future. Though most just made their displeasure of his cockiness known through grunts and whispers of anger.

Their Sensei only nodded to Kacchan's words before a thought seemed to have occurred to him. He was picking up the packets he had thrown earlier when this thought struck him. "That's right, you're aiming for UA aren't you Bakugou?"

That got people talking about UA. About the susticis for getting in. Some saying how Bakugou probably was the only one who stood a chance of getting in. He had good grades, a squeaky clean record, and he had a powerful heroic quirk. All things needed to get into UA, especially if you are aiming for the heroic course. After all, UA's acceptance rate is lower than ever and it was only getting lower by the year.

Though he didn't share any of his own opinions on the matter. He's learned already from over the years that nobody cared for his opinion. So if he were to say the blond was too egotistical and brash to get trust, too angry and narrow minded to work well with others, and that's not even talking about his lack of empathy for anything. He'd be the one hated on and told off for speaking the truth.

Though nobody sane and able to see had to hear his opinions on the teen in question. Said teen was taking his chances to brag and running with it. "That's right. I passed their mock tests with flying colors. I'm the only one here good enough to get into UA."

There Sensei seemed to get thoughtful again at Bakugou's statement. He was staring down the rows of seats. Straight at Izuku and it made his stomach drop. With a merciless and cold tone his Sensei spoke with mock thoughtfulness. "Actually, I believe Midoriya is also trying for UA as well."

Well there goes his decently fine day. Explosions sound out and there is a sudden spike in heat in the room. He quickly pushes away from his desk as hands slammed down onto the wood where his head was a moment ago. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING DEKU!!!"

He kept his head down and ears back. His tail was now swaying behind him. As much as the hound in Izuku wanted to bare its teeth and fight back the blond. He didn't give into his primal instincts. Instead he kept his voice calm and carefully cleaned of malice and venom. He might be in a submissive stance but, he's not doing so willingly and most certainly not out of any respect for the blond.

"There's no harm in trying…" It almost physical pains him to hold back the growls hidden deep in his throat. "And I also have people counting on me to get in."

And it was true, Minato and Fujun didn't deserve to be in that crappy house of Miss Tamashi's. They deserve safe schools and a safe lovingly warm home. He'd be damned if he didn't try to take care of them. To give them and others like them a safe place to be loved and cared for.

Though Bakugou didn't know and didn't care about his reasons. He was too stuck in his head to care about anything besides himself. "You don't deserve to go to UA! Not with your villain quirk or your history!!!"

A growl slipped past his clenched teeth, his ears pulled back farther behind his head, and his tail was now whipping from side to side. He's also now half way out of his seat. His hands are now clawing at his burnt desktop. If you looked hard enough you could see heat waves coming off his body.

"There's nothing wrong with my records and there's nothing wrong with my quirk. There's nothing stopping me from trying to get in and there's nothing stopping me from doing so to help the people who need me." He barely kept the deep rumble in his throat from being heard. Though he wouldn't doubt that Bakugou heard it from standing so close.

"Trying? TRYING?!?!? You're a useless villain, Deku. There's no trying for you. You will fail stupid mut!" The blond was now grasping at his uniform jacket. Pulling him towards the blonds glaring sneering face.

This time he didn't bother hiding the deep bone shaking growl. His eyes were probably shifting to that acidic neon green he was so pissed, the hound in him was pissed. The teens around them started to lean away. A few sparks of flame ignited along the fur of his tail.

Sensei seemingly knowing where this would lead, finally intervened. About damn time too. A second longer and this classroom would be feeling a hella lot hotter. The man's gaze was on the hot tempered blond. It's a tired but accepting gaze. "Bakugou please sit down."

Sensei then directed his attention to him. The gaze Izuku sees is anything but accepting. "Midoriya please see me after class."

Everything settled down mostly after that. There was still hushed chatter and speculation thrown about. They all talked about how he was gonna get punished for misbehaving in class. For even thinking he was worthy enough to get into UA.

When the bell finally rang. Kids left in a hurry for the weekend while he stayed seated in his seat. He had already packed his things, he was just waiting for everyone to clear out besides the teacher. He caught sight of Bakugou lingering at the door, a cruel smirk on his face.

Though his attention shifted to his teacher. As the man walked up to his desk. His gaze was cold and filled with uncaring displeasure. "Midoriya, I'm required as your teacher to encourage you to go to a high school that will let you succeed. Though it has to be in the realm of your possibility. UA isn't possible for you. Now I want you to go home and write down a list of other high schools that will help you succeed in the future."

He simply kept his head down and nodded. He wasn't gonna listen to his Sensei degrade his goals and dreams. He could hear the underlying message but he'll be oblivious. He had more important things to worry about. Like whether it was gonna be possible to get something warm for dinner tonight for his siblings.

When Sensei was done with his one sided talk. He turned back and headed for his seat. Taking it as his chance to leave Izuku grabbed his old worn yellow backpack and left. The one good thing about being held back from leaving was the less likely chance for his tail being slammed in the door.

He managed to get a few yards away from the school before someone grabbed a hold of the back of his uniform and dragged him into the nearby alley. He was roughly shoved to the ground but Izuku caught himself on his hands and knees. Immediately flipping around, he finally freely bares his fanged teeth for the first time today.

Surprise surprise it was Bakugou Katsuki that had dragged him to a stop. His tail was swishing around madly as he felt his body temperature go up. He got himself into a weak defensive crouch.

Bakugou sneared down at him. His two goons stepped up to either side of the blond. The two had sly grins on their faces and mockingly copied the smirk on Bakugou's face. "You think we're done here Deku?"

"You are never done when it comes to me." Izuku muttered under his breath and stood up slowly. His instincts were screaming at him to show Bakugou his place in the presence of him. That the blonds challenge of dominance is a weak petty thing. Though he kept those instincts bottled up and locked in his gut.

"You will never make it to UA or any school with a half descent hero program. They will take one look at your history and quirk. Then boot you to the curb. Face it you're destined to be a Villain. No matter where you go or what you do." Bakugou sneared with a vicious grin. He was daring Izuku to fight him on this. "So don't even try."

Though the blond wasn't done. He leaned forward like he was gonna share a secret with him. A secret between friends. A burning palm was placed on his shoulder. Smoke wafted up from the 'casual touch'. "Though once I became a pro hero, feel free to cause some damage. I wouldn't mind taking down your villian ass."

The blond leaned away suddenly. Like being in Izuku's presence stunk. "But if you really want to be a hero so badly. Here's some advice from an old friend, take a swan dive off the roof and hope to be useful in your next life. Though with your luck you might just end up quirkless."

That had Izuku freezing. Every twitch of muscle and pump of heated blood through his veins turned still. Everything in him was frozen. Bakugou laughed at his reaction to those words.

Though Izuku very much wasn't laughing.

Bakugou was an idiot. Izuku thought his former friend was smarter than that but he clearly gave the hot head too much credit. Suicide baiting was a new low, lower then scaring up his human skin with star bursts of raised pink skin. Lower than degrading him to a mear smudge on his shoe with the help of all those filthy adults and teens.

It was lower than low. The blond was an idiot for saying that. What would happen to the blond if he actually went and offed himself on purpose? At least the people who left flowers and death threat notes on his desk and stuffed into his locker weekly couldn't be traced back to them. (At least not officially they all keep forgetting he's got hunter instincts and a wolf can track the smallest of scents for miles. He's long since had the displeasure of remembering every single person's scent in that school.)

He growled lowly at the blond now fully standing. His tail thrashed behind him and ears facing back as he lifted his head high and stared down his nose down to his former friend.

The blond was just frowning at him. Like he couldn't fathom why the hell he, Izuku, would be growling at him. Though that face didn't stay for long. "Thats a stupid thing to say. Do you really trust your lackys to not out you for verbally baiting me if I actually went and did that?"

The goons had the gull to act scared at that. They were sweating and glancing between their leader and him. They each knew the answer to Izuku's question.

Though Bakugou sneered and did the equivalent of shrugging off Izuku's question. "You wouldn't actually do that, dumb ass. I know you."

"No you don't." He growled out with a sharp bark. He could feel his skin now burning up, dangerously close to lighting ablaze. "You've refused to know me after we turned 5. You don't know me as much as you think you do, Bakugou."

With that he walked past the blond and his goons. Nobody dared touching him. Not with the heat that was very noticeably rolling off of him. His tail was now flickering with small emerald flames. "Think before you speak or it will cost you, advice from an old friend Kacchan."

After walking away. He decided to take the alleyways to get to his siblings school. He didn't wanna risk someone bumping into his very much too hot skin. It would take him a bit longer than normal to get them but it would be within his acceptable standard.

A growl rumbled deep in his throat. "Can't believe he'd go doing that shit. The idiot."

He started his walk to Minato and Fujun's school. His ears and tail twitching with sparks of flame and irritation as he walked. Fingers clawing into his backpack straps.
"Nothing I can do right now. Maybe when we get into UA. I'll be allowed to finally let loose on my instincts. Not like I'll actually hurt him, it's a dominance game. I'm sure Nezu would understand that."

Done with that train of thought and deeming himself cool enough to handle his cheap phone. He pulls it out of the side pocket of his bag.

Handling the cheap phone with care. He scrolls through all his media for something to lighten his mood. His ears and tail flicking and twirling with every step of his.

"Damn, missed a new hero debut." A gentle hum rumbles in his throat. His brain immediately jumps into his analytical mindset. "She looks like a media driven hero. So I should find everything online already…. Wish heros would stop doing these things for attention. It's a bad example to younger generations."

As he voices his thoughts unknowingly out loud. He's passing under an overpass. He's almost back into the evening sunshine when he's suddenly snapped to attention. He was dragged from his wandering mumbles by a strange sound. It was garbled and…. Wet? It was very strange and he couldn't quite pinpoint it. The sound was echoing and bouncing off something. Though it was certainly getting louder.

At that moment the manhole cover from behind him launched into the air. He spun around just in time to see the metal bounced from the concrete and roll away. A thick green sludge was pouring out of the opening.

Eyes and teeth formed in the muddy green trash filled sludge as it pulled itself from the sewers. Garbled words reach his twitching ears."Can't let him catch me…. Need a meat suit…"

That has him slipping into a loose stance. Now whether he ran or fought depended on this disgusting pile of living trash flubber seeing him. And just his luck, the moment he did had a large eye lazily moving to look at him. Teeth and the other eye following suit. "A medium sized meat suit. You'll have to do. I can't have him find me."

"Fuck no." Was all he could say as he made a mad dash outta there.

Though the slime guy was a lot faster then he'd think someone with his quirk could move. He barely took two leaps and he's legs were nabbed. Hitting the ground hard, instinctually had him turning to claw at the slug holding onto him with a bruising grip. "Hold still brat! I just need to borrow your body to get away. It'll only take about 30 seconds before you black out!"

"Fuck that. No thank you." He could feel his body growing hotter as more sludge moved to restrain him and make its way to his face.

"Gotcha!"

His jaw was caught open further. The taste and smell of the villain truly revolting. Though there was nothing he could do as his jaw was forced painfully open. The feeling of the slime going down his throat, starving him of oxygen. It has him desperately clawing at the slime around his face. It also has his body working overtime to heat up. To fend off his attacker.

"Thanks kid, you're my hero." It's muttered above his head like an afterthought.

It wasn't entirely noticeable at first. His core body temp was steadily rising and as it rose the villain's body was quickly drying out. "What? WHAT ARE YOU DOING KID?!"

The villain noticed a little too late something was happening. He only must have noticed when he was having a hard time moving his half dried slime body. To further constrict and suffocate him. "STOP IT YOUR DRYING ME OUT."

Finally sparking a bit of flame from ears has the villain immediately drawing back. Leaving him gasping for breath and clawing unlessly at the rest of the sludge around him. Still holding too tightly around his chest.

"Let go of me." He barely managed to weese out. His rib cage feels like it's gonna cave under the pressure this villain is putting him through.

The villain does what Izuku assumes is a displeased growl. It's hard to tell with the slime state his body is currently in. "You got some spunk in you, I'll give you that. But I'm not going to jail, brat."

"Don't Worry. Why? CAUSE I'M HERE!!"

A sudden and very narrow strike of wind has the Sludge villain being torn apart. With him nearly being blown away to. He had felt the back of his shirt being grabbed in the mess of mid air splatter.

While he's glad for the air in his lungs. His ears are now ringing from the spike in air pressure and suddenness of it. The ringing is something he's familiar with though but it's still jarring and painful.

It takes him a few minutes but he does finally get up from when he was dropped onto the ground. Sitting up slowly and being mindful of the now splitting headache. He looks up to see who had saved and blown his eardrums.

And much to his surprise it's All Might. His tail is immediately wagging at the thought of meeting the number one hero. His ears would have perked up to if his hearing was ok. "All Might…. Thanks for saving me."

"I should be thanking you, my boy." Oh wow, his ears are ringing again. All Might does understand he's got sensitive ears right? His large ears aren't for show after all. Evidently not because the large muscular man is still talking to him way too loudly. "You distracted the villain long enough for me to get here. I regret that you got caught in my chase though."

Izuku sorta nods along with whatever is being said. Though as the large man waves a hand in front of his face as if to offer him help up. He can't help but notice the burns on the hero's hand.

He instantly knows it's from when he was from him being saved from being pulp on the wall. Politely he waves off the singed hand of the hero. "I wouldn't recommend you touch me right now. It's gonna be a bit before I cool off…"

All Might doesn't look offended with his help not being wanted. Good, though his presence is just too loud. "Interesting, though I trust your fine. I gotta get this villain to a jail cell… I'll be-"

Wait All Might was just gonna leave him here? After he was attacked by a villain no less? Isn't he supposed to give a statement to the police about the whole incident and get checked out by doctors to make sure that the sludge villain hadn't poisoned or harmed his throat and lungs from trying to take over his body? It made no sense to him. This is the number one hero, shouldn't he be sticking to protocol?

Though regardless of all that he does have a question or two other than the work ethic of the number one hero. Quick to offer up his chard notebook from the front pouch of his bag, Izuku speaks up quickly. Cutting off whatever bullshit was coming from the hero's mouth. "Wait! Can you sign this? And I have another question…"

"Sure my boy! I should have time for a question." The hero doesn't hesitate to reach for the book and dig out a pen from his pants.

Izuku took the moment to collect what he was gonna ask. He just had to know and he bets his siblings wanna know too. "Do you think I and others like me can be a hero?"

All Might paused in the middle of writing his signature. He quickly finished it and then looked at him. "Others like you?"

His ears were now facing forward and his tail was doing lazy twirls behind him. He took back the signed notebook and clutched it to his chest. "Quirk discriminated against people, kids dealt a poor hand, Sir… People don't like me because of how and when my quirk came in. People also don't like that they can't touch me at times… Cause if they do they get burned."

All Might stared at him for a little bit. It was unsettling to have those shadowed blue eyes start at him like that and with that unmoving plastic smile still on his face.

"If you want to be a hero…" The hero spoke hesitantly though he didn't stay hesitant for long. "I don't think so. If you can't rescue people without risking injuries to citizens and people don't like or trust you. That speaks for itself. Try and be realistic to your predicament."

With that he walks from out under the overpass and leaps away. With a bottled slime villain in his pants.

"... and what of everyone else All Might?"
What of his siblings oh great hero?

--

"Kacchan…." Why aren't they doing something? Why isn't All Might here? He had the villain, what happened? How did the slime villain escape All Might? How could All Might lose the villain?

So many unanswered questions but none of them will help Kacchan. Just like the useless Heroes standing by and doing nothing to improve the blonds chances of survival.

He's clawing at his ears. The explosions from the blond are hurting. His throat and lungs burn with a familiar phantom feeling. Bloody ruby red meet mossy pools of jade. Fearful tear filled eyes meet steadily cooling focused eyes.

"Hey kid!" "STOP HIM!" "NO DO-"

None of them matter. They are all worthless here. The hero's, the police, EVERYONE. None of them cared about Kacchan's immediate survival, so he will. He shouldn't have to do what they all should have been trained to do.

But he will and that's why he pushed through citizens, jumped the barricade and is charging the villain. His ears pressed against his skull and his tail streaking behind him. His hands at his sides ready to claw up a disgusting slime bitch.

"YOU!!" The villain obviously didn't forget
about him. Clearly didn't forget he could dry out the other's body rabidly. Though the slime wasn't faster than him this time around.

The partly solidified slime villain body didn't allow for the liquid swift or fast movement. Though that didn't mean the villain couldn't hurl things to hurt or incapacitate him.

He's dodging burning wood and chunks of concrete. Torn from the burning building's Kacchan is destroying with his misfiring quirk.

He's keeping low to the ground. His eyes rapidly darting about looking for something useful within reach. His ears swivel and keep track of the villains movements. Spying some burning rubble close by to his left. He picks it up as he's dodging what he can only assume is a fist of slime if the green in his corner vision is anything to go by.

Rushing behind the slime villain for a moment he yells over the roaring explosions and the frustrated gurgles from the villian.

"Let go Flubber! That's my toy, get your own." A dangerous fanged feral snarl is on his face. He circles backs the way he came. Hoping to momentarily confuse the villain.

It doesn't work and he's dodging again.
With that his tail brushes something that had to have been on fire. Because the orange embers are turning toxic green as his body heats back up again. Though it's hard to see visual signs of that happening.

With a narrowed gauze he trow's the now much hotter rubble at the villains exposed vulnerable eyes. He hits his mark, right in the corner of his left eye. The villain screams and flinchs on instinct at the sudden pain and loss of sight. "MY EYE!"

It's a dirty tactic but it's always an effective one. Eyes are vulnerable things, much like exposed throats, joints, and family jewels.

Though with the villain distracted for the moment. He takes the chance to get close. Kacchan looks deathly pale. And there isn't much prompting to get him free at least around the mouth... Izuku's burning skin melts and sinks through the slime body with some resistance. It's only a swipe into the green body to remove what's over the blonds mouth.

It's not a move to free him just yet. It's a move to prolong his life with fresh air. Though the blond wastes the air by screaming at him. Idiot. "What are you doing shitty Deku!"

Digging his hands into the slime again. His heated skin is drying out the moisture in the disgusting body. He gets a hold of the blond's arm. The uniform and slime protecting him from direct skin on skin contact.

"Saving your ungrateful ass." Bakugou is then pulled out partly from the slime. Still not all the way out though. But that doesn't stay a fact for long.

The villain's eyes are now focused on him and those eyes are filled with hate and fear. Seeing that fear, Izuku frees a hand and reaches up to claw at those eyes. Flinching back hard the villain recoils away from him. Releasing Bakugou as he does so. "GET AWAY FROM ME! Devil beast!!"

Pulling Kacchan away and down behind him allows him to get into a stance. A protective stance over and in front of a freed goopy Bakugou. Izuku's tail is still on fire and slow waging menacing behind him. His ears are sparking with natural flames.

Bakugou smells like a bomb from under him. His own steadily climbing body temperature is pulling the sweat from Bakugou's body. Indicated by the sickeningly sweet smelling scent growing stronger. He can't risk his body temperature going up any higher. Or he'll be catching fire and setting off the bomb that is Bakugou Katsuki.

Though before he can think of how to deal with the bomb threat that is his ex-friend. All Might finally shows up, as loud and as destructive as any other top hero.

He punches the slime and with the force of that punch it changes the formations of the clouds and it's raining now. He had to be in awe with the display of power, though his awe is smashed down when thinking about the damage this hero caused by letting the villain get away from him.

With the slime villain incapacitated and currently being cleaned off the surrounding area. The other heros on scene are now checking up on them. Where are the paramedics?

The heroes aside from All Might are now surrounding him and Bakugou. It prompts him to back away a bit from the blond. The rain washed the sharp edge of the sweetness from the blond, no longer quiet as explosive or at risk of happening anymore.

Bakugou is taken from his side and Izuku is immediately being towered over by Death Arms and Kamio Woods. "Kid that was extremely dangerous with what you did."

Ok he might have been wrong about the checking up bit. At least regarding him. He can see paramedics magical at the blonds side, along with whoever else was on scene.

It's a nice distraction from what's being said to him. He doesn't like it….

"You could have been killed."

"We had that covered."

"You should have left this to us. Be more realistic in what you can do."

That had him freezing. He's heard that already today...Realistic. Realistic my ass this is all nothing but bull shit. Realistic, Realistic, Realistic! What do any of these bastards and bitches know about Realistic standards in society? What do any of them know about his capabilities?

He's finally turning to face the hero's. A growl building up in his throat. "Oh? You all were being useful standing around?"

He motions to the area around them. His tail had ceased to be on fire but that had changed real damn quick. "None of you bothered to attempt to give Bakugou here a chance to breathe. Even if I had failed to get him out of the villain's grasp. I would have at least bought him precious time to get just a few more seconds of air. Preventing him from passing out and getting brain damage, and giving him more of a chance to stay alive and a fight chance…"

The hero's are now getting into a stance. They don't like being told off by a child. A child much smaller than them and currently partly on fire. He doesn't realize that a few news crew are now zeroing in on him. The press is the least of his concerns.

"That is what would have happened realistically. You all were useless and uncaring. You all didn't bother to use any sort of brain cell to think of a way to save a child's life. A life that was supposed to be in your hands to save. Not mine." He ends that statement with a sharp bark of finality. He's sick of this oh so sick of this. "Now fuck off. I'm leaving… got siblings to pick up from school."

He turns away his hands gripping into the straps of his backpack lying on the burnt ground. The bag was covered in soot and soaked from the sudden rain. He hopes his homework made it through the brutal elements. It's then that he noticed the attention of some of the press.

Shit, he's gonna be in deep shit isn't he?

"Hey wait! You need to be checked ou-" that's got a surprised bark of laughter bubbling from his throat. What the fuck is with people today? This is all so fucking insane.

"Oh now people are concerned for my well being. Your really fucking late for that. Too bad I got places to be. Now leave me be." Nobody stops him. Nobody tries to reason with him about his health. Pathetic... and he's not afraid to state it. "Didn't put much of a fight up to protect that poor chain of protocol… pathetic. Wonder who's died under this uncaring watch."

---

Nobody had stopped him. Nobody tried to track his ass down. They just let him go with no statement, no name, no nothing. He hopes it makes a good story for those journalists.

And that right there reminds him of the pain he's probably gonna be in tonight. Deciding to ignore that up coming cluster fuck. He thinks of the other things.

"Fuck I'm super late... Hope Minato and Fujun are ok…" He grips the backpack straps tighter. His mind jumping about. "I haven't been able to restock the med kit… still need to do that shoping too… Fuck today's just a mess."

He gives the bag strap a brake and runs a hand through his hair. Fingers brushing softly against his ears. Now that things have calmed down he can feel just sore his body already feels. Feels his skin pulsing with fast new forming bruises. "God how bad did that villain strangle me? Least it won't leave scars. Lord knows I don't need more of those."

"NII-SAN!!!!"

He must have been walking faster than he thought cause he shouldn't be near their school already… right?

"Minato and Fujun." Doesn't matter. He's kneeling and pointing his arms for his little siblings. Neither child hesitates in ramming into his chest at full force. He's instantly regretting that one and his bruised rib cage is making sure its opinion is noted.

"I'm so sorry for being so late…"

"How hurt are you?" Minato asks immediately noting how he had weazed painfully at their hug assault. Though Izuku doesn't get a chance to answer cause Fujun's cutting him off with another question. "Did you have to get into another fight?"

He sees Minato getting ready to ask another question right after his sister. But Izuku's does a playfully chipper bark.
"Yeah you could say that. I got attacked by a villain… had to also save someone's life."

"... You gonna be ok Nii-san?" Minato asks with a head tilt. Izuku can't help but think his little sibling shouldn't be that cute. He's learning tips from Trix isn't he? They both must be cause Fujun's now doing the same thing with wide eyes.

"Yeah nothing broken this time. It's all just scrapes and bruises." He pulls them into another quick reassuring hug.

"Is Miss Tamashi gonna be mad?" Minato asks, Fujun's Nodding worriedly.

"Probably, I think I got on the news."

"You got on the NEWS?!" Fujun's fins flare out in mock exaggeration. Her hand on her chest and everything. Gee's she makes it sound like I try to do this every day.

"You're supposed to wait, tell your in UA to do that." Minato coldly comments. As he grabs my hand and proceeds to drag me down the side sidewalk back the way I came.

"Oh shut it and I said maybe. I don't know if I actually did." Fujun sticks out her forked tongue at him for that and Minato just rolls his eyes. The little devils them.

As he's being dragged away by his siblings. Tail lazily wagging as he listens to the two chatter happily with one another. Free to speak in his presence. Free to be kids around him with no regards for the judgement of others.

This is who he's trying to protect… This is the life he wants to change.

This is his reason for wanting to be a hero.
