Chapter Text

"Izuku sweetie? Wake up, Katsuki is waiting down by the corner remember?" Izuku cringed at the use of the firey blonde's first name. They weren't friends. That had ended right after his diagnosis. Like he was a walking fucking disease, his mother always called it that, always said he was disabled. But he wasn't. He wasn't quirkless. He could remember when his quirk activated, he was seven, he was a late bloomer. Maybe if he hadn't been so insistent on him becoming a hero while declared quirkless people would've believed him.

It was late at night and Izuku was sat in front of the computer. He had snuck on while his mom was asleep. He was only supposed to use it for school work if needed, never to analyze heros. His mom had ripped his dreams from him after he had gotten back from the doctors.

He had his note books that he had claimed was for practice his writing on the desk and a video was playing. It was a new sidekick for a insect agency . The sidekick had a moth like quirk, including night vision. Izuku was mumbling when he realized the room suddenly got lighter. He panicked and closed out of the tab and spun around thinking his mom had turned on the light.

He then realized that it was him. 'Did I finally get a quirk? Is it nigh vision or something?' Suddenly his eyes hurt, and the top of his head and back. He quickly ran to the bathroom to see what exactly was happening. When he reached the mirror all that stared back was bug like eyes. His pupils were gone and his eyes were a dull green, and hexagon like plates filled his irises. Then little black numbs poked through green curls. He turned around and there on his backwete wings.

Did, he get a moth quirk? No its impossible, his dad has fire breathing. Then his vision slowly went back to normal and the nubs and wings left. 'No wait!? Come back!' Tears finally fell, but not of happiness. He just had it, what happened? He was going to tell mom, and Kacchan. Wait Kacchan. How could a moth quirk work with explosions. Nitroglycerin sweat and a moth, probably not a good combo unless in night time. Dammit. Of course Kacchan had to be a bully with a great quirk.

BOOM! BOOM! Izuku looked down at his hands and the floor. He had.....Kacchan's quirk now? This is impo-. Copy. He had a copy quirk. HE HAD A COPY QUIRK! He heard foot steps from the hall. Mom! "Mommy, guess what! I have a quirk. I think it's a copying quirk." His mom quickly looked awake now. Her eyes were blown wide and she looked pale. "Mommy?"

"You don't have one Izuku. Your imaging things, go back to sleep." Her gaze was glazed and her voice had this emptiness to it, it scared him. When ever Kacchan or the other kids hurt him and he went to tell his teacher they had the same look and sound. They denied his statement and called them stories, then he got in trouble. "B-But mom. I had a moth quirk and then I got Kacchan's. I have one."

Izuku felt the pain, then heard the sound. His mom...... hit him, for telling the truth. " NO YOU DON'T BRAT! YOU'RE QUIRKLESS. ME AND YOUR FATHER HAVE A QUIRKLESS SON. So go to you room Izuku ." He felt his tears again, he didn't even know they stopped. "Y-Yes mom." He kept his gaze to the ground and walked to his room. He didn't know why his mom was acting like this but he was scared.

Izuku finally figured out what his quirk is. He can copy any quirk he knows the base of and he has to analyze it. He can remember any quirk he had already analyzed and he can use them for up to ten minutes. He figured out he can up the time limit by using the quirk until the very end of his time limit, he kinda related quirks like muscles. The more you train them the more stronger they get.

However thats if you train them, he had to constantly sneak around when he trained his quirk. After he had gotten his quirk his mom had kept him home for the rest of the week and made sure he wouldn't say anything or do anything at school. He had returned with lots of hidden bruises. He had tried to tell people about it, but they wouldn't believe him. They would call his mom and tell her that he was delusional and he needs to be checked out. He shut up after the tenth beating form his mom after that. After his ninth birthday his mom had started to get worried about his time walking from school and to home, so she had asked Kacchan to walk with him.

She still believes that they are friends, whenever they go for dinner at the Bakugo's they would always force the boys to play together, sit next to eachother. Izuku always acted like the timid and shy boy he used to be. If he didn't he would've probably snapped and be home schooled, with his walking supervised now he didn't have much time to actually train his quirk. Kacchan always took him straight home, of course if he had an especially bad day he would drag him behind a building and beat him up. Izuku hated how he lived. Ten years old and already wanting to leave the world, all because his mom made some mistake and he had to pose as quirkless.

"Oi, nerd hurry up. Or do I have to do it for you?" Izuku flinched at the heat on his shoulder. He might've acted timid but he didn't need to act with the explosions thrown at him. There were multiple scars on his body from the blasts. Never something big but they still hurt like hell.

"R-Right. S-Sor-Sorry Kacchan." That's the only way Izuku could piss him off without dropping his mask. Of course without the sarcastic tone he uses, in his head or when mumbling. When they arrived at school they always patted ways. With Kacchan gone he runs off to the supply closet to practice his quirk. It was only used for after school and no one ever went in them during the morning.

He had just found out about this one hero who could direct attacks by using energy fields. He decided to go to class early to try and test it out. It would be risky but he's already been declared as quirkless Izuku so no one would admit that he could deflect an attack.

Just as expected as soon as he went into the door someone threw a paper ball at him. It had missed from the quirk he was using and no one had noticed accept for the one who had thrown is. He kept his head down and walked to his seat. There was a flower on his desk with a newspaper article. 'Tch. Even if they think I'm quirkless suicide isn't something to bait people with. People kill themselves just to escape people like you, yet you want to torment others like them with their deaths. And you all want to be heros. Izuku picked up the flower and article and went to the trash can. The room fell into laughter as he walked. "I'm sorry for the pain you went through." Izuku had always said that whenever he threw away an article about suicide. Someone should respect them if they held on for that long.

He turned to the class and he kept his head up. Laughter stopped as he looked at all of them. He had finally had it. This girl was dead because of people like them. People were dead because people decide to think they were superior because of some extra toe joint. "Did you know her?" The class just looked at him. He checked the clock, five minutes before the teachers leave their lounge. Sevem before their teacher arrived. "I said did you know her?" Izuku had raised his voice and he glared at all of them.

"No. But we know she's apart of your kind. She probably did the world a favor." The class started to laugh. Ten year olds, laughing about suicide. He was in class 5-B, Kacchan was in class 5-A. Izuku was put here because they refused to think a quirkless person could be the smartest in the grade, even with the intelligence quirks in the school. "Oh really? How come? She did that to escape villains like you. She felt that the only way to escape the torment was death."

The class shocked with his new attitude. Of course it wasn't new, Izuku just had to keep a mask on. He had to act like a small timid boy, when he wasn't. He was smarter than the kids in the school, all on his own. He knew how to use other's quirks against them, all on his own. He knew how to spot people weaknesses and strengths. All, on, his, own. He didn't need a teacher who just teaches and then leaves, who turns a blind eye to the bullying around them. He didn't need his mother who yelled at him if he as so much as looks at her with defiance. He didn't need Katsuki to walk him to and from school, to tell him he can't be a hero.

"You're all villains, and you know it." With that Izuku left the classroom. Just as he was walking out through the back of the class room the teacher was walking inthrough the front. Izuku Midoriya isn't timid or shy. Izuku Midoriya could be the end of the hero society if he wants to be. Maybe in another timeline he would be, probably joining some villains in some bar in the bad part of town. But he's going to be a hero, to prove a point.
