Work Text:
Akutagawa Ryunnosuke wasn't a man known for being the kindest person. After all, he wasn't only a member of one of the most dangerous organization in Yokohama, but he was someone with status on the same organization.
The guerrilla faction líder, the diablo, the rabid dog of the Port Mafia and The dark cloaked ability user were only a few epithets his skill had gain him, and each and everyone of those names had a story behind it; none of them exactly pretty.
So why did he look so adorable to Atsushi Nakajima's eyes?
His newest mission partner was sitting down on the floor, completely exhausted. He had dirt on his face and clothes, but he didn't seem to realize it, and definitely he didn't seem to care.
Akutagawa and Atsushi weren't exactly a perfect match, considering that half of the time during their missions it would be spent on fighting or arguing over some stupid thing. But the other half of the time was exactly the reason why they worked together on the first place. Their abilities would work together perfectly, and their fighting style always seemed to be sincronized to the one of his partner, and Dazai Osamu, their mentor and Atsushi's co-worker, always seemed to be amused by the way the two of them fought together, and eventually he insisted on making their collaboration permanent.
And here they were, sitting down on the floor with the moon above their heads. Both of them panting after a mission that consisted of disbanding a small organization by themselves. Atsushi tried to talk some sense into Dazai, telling him it was impossible, but he simply replied with 'The old Double Back disbanded a complete organization in a night, so why can't the New Double Black do it too?" And that was the end if the conversation. But again, Atsushi thought it was a little unfair that Dazai compared them to himself, considering how talented he was.
Of course, the mission hadn't been easy, considering that what Dazai referred to as a 'small organization' had over 200 members, with a few of them having an ability. But in the end, they managed to survived and succeed. After defeating the last ability user and leaving him unconscious on the floor, they had both immediate collapsed. They had spent a all of the afternoon and part of the night fighting, and they were tired... No, they were completely exhausted.
"I could... I could probably kill you right now..." Akutagawa said panting, Atsushi frowned, a little amused, and shook his head.
"Don't even try, Akutagawa." He said, slowly turning his head to face him. "I would win in less than ten seconds, you look like you were run over by a car."
"You don't look any better." He said rolling his eyes. Atsushi laughed a little and looked up to the sky.
"Yeah... I am tired. Can't wait to get home and sleep for two days straight." He said, Akutagawa looked at him for a few seconds and his lips curved in a small smile. That was probably the first time they had something in common. "I'll call Tanizaki-san to come and pick me up. I am physically unable to walk all the way to the agency residence."
Atsushi took out his phone and Akutagawa simply raised his head at the sky. He heard a muffled curse beside him and he turned his head, only to find Atsushi with his cellphone in his hands, with it's screen black.
"Is dead..." he muttered exhausted. Akutagawa looked at him through the cellohone's black screen. He was frowning. "Hey, Akutagawa, do you know how far away we are from the Agency?"
"I don't know, definitely far." He said, Atsushi sighed loudly and threw his head backwards, and eventually laid down on the floor.
"I'm sleeping here. I'm not feeling like moving, is just too much" he whined.
"Can't the Tiger's power heal you?" Akutagawa asked, Atsushi shook his head.
"I'm able to heal external wounds, but it's not like I have endless stamina" he said, Akutagawa hummed. He also took out his cellphone and clicked the power button, but the screen stayed black.
"You have to be kidding me..." he muttered, Atsushi turned his head.
"Something wrong?" He asked, Akutagawa rolled his eyes and put away his phone inside his coat.
"Mine is also dead, and I didn't give Higuchi the address this time.." He said, but he was so tired he couldn't really bring himself to panic about it. Atsushi laughed slowly.
"We're stuck here, then." He said. Akutagawa nodded and eventually laid down next to Atsushi. They both stayed quiet for a few minutes, and Atsushi wondered if Akutagawa had maybe fallen asleep, but his theory was proved wrong after Akutagawa stood up slowly.
"Where are you going?" Atsushi asked, not even bothering on moving.
"Maybe there's some kind of hotel nearby." He muttered. "I'm not feeling like sleeping on the streets tonight."
"Oh, okay... If you find one let me know." He said closing his eyes.
"No, I won't." He heard Akutagawa answer. Atsushi didn't even bother to reply, after all, he knew he was lying. He would never tell him to his face, but he knew Akutagawa was pretty much a softy.
He stayed on the ground for God knows how long, his mind wandered away and he could feel himself falling asleep against the cold cement inside the building. He was almost completely asleep when he was interrupted by Akutagawa.
"I found a hotel a few meters away from here. Is close enough so that we can go walking." He said, Atsushi sighed and slowly nodded. A hotel sounded great, but right now the floor didn't seemed so bad, specially considering he was almost completely asleep. "Jinko, are you comming?"
"Yeah, yeah..." he muttered. He thought about the way they were maintaining a conversation without actually fighting. 'Well that's a first' Atsushi thought, he found himself surprisingly relaxed. His brain and body forgetting the fact that just a few months ago Akutagawa and himself were still trying to kill each other.
He thought that it was nice to simply talk withour fearing for his life.
Or at least, that's what he was thinking before Akutagawa stepped merciless on his fingers. Atsushi jumped in place and glare at Akutagawa, who simply scoffed.
"Ouch! What was that for?" He asked while pouting. Akutagawa rolled his eyes and turned around, giving Atsushi his back.
"You're almost half asleep, and Dazai-san wouldn't forgive me if I let you sleep on the ground in the middle of the city." He said without turning around. Atsushi realized he was right, but he still whined childishly while standing up.
"I bet you're worried about me." He joked walking behind Akutagawa.
"I am not."
"No, no, you most definitely are." Atsushi said, still a little salty about Akutagawa stepping on his fingers. "You're so worried that you feel the need to protect me. I appreciate it, Akutagawa, but I can take care of myself."
Akutagawa turned around slowly and raised an eyebrow, Atsushi simply smiled at him.
"Is the exhaustion making you hallucinate?" He asked, Atsushi stuck out his tongue and crossed his arms. Akutagawa sighed. "Reming me to never talk to you at this time of the night."
"Why are you so mean...?" He whined, Akutagawa resumed his walk and Atsushi grunted.
"Why are you acting like a child?" Akutagawa asked, Atsushi smiled almost innocently.
"I am not acting like a child." He laughed. "Look, I'm tired, anything that comes out of my mouth can't really count as me saying it."
"You are ridiculous." Akutagawa said, Atsushi screamed a small 'Hey!' before Akutagawa stopped walking. "We're here, I told you it was close by."
"Yeah, I can't wait to sleep for 2 weeks straight." He muttered.
Both of them entered the small hotel. Calling the building modest wouldn't be exactly wrong, but it would be a great understatement, considering the white—now gray—walls looked like they could fall any minute, and the floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in forever. A blond guy with a cigarette in between his teeth was behind the counter, Akutagawa walked to it and coughing a little, he tried to call his attention.
"What do you want?" The guy said, he didn't even raised his gaze from what it looked like a porn magazine. Not that Atsushi would know.
"I would like to rent a room for the night." Akutagawa said, the man finally raised his head after hearing those words. He looked at Akutagawa for a few seconds and then looked at Atsushi, he clicked his tongue. He kneeled down under the counter and took a small key. He gave it to Akutagawa.
"Room B-5, second floor. Last room available, you guys are lucky." He said without showing much interest. Akutagawa opened his mouth to say something, but the guy didn't even seem to be paying attention, his eyes already returning to the magazine.
Atsushi was tired, but he was pretty sure he had heard the man said 'Last room available', but that couldn't be, right? After all, Atsushi had yet to rent a room.
"Um... Sorry, did you just said 'Last room available'?" Atsushi asked, the guy nodded. "Without offence, but this doesn't really seem like the kind of hotel to be completely full."
"No offence taken, this is a shitty hotel," The guy laughed "But there's a famous bar nearby, on Fridays we're normally full of people, considering how many people want to—"
"—I see!" Atsushi interrupted the guy, who simply smirked. Akutagawa looked awkwardly at the key in his hands, and the guy in the counter sighed.
"I suppose you two aren't here for that, then?" Atsushi and Akutagawa nodded almost immediately. "There's a sofa on the room. You can both sleep separately on the same room, I guess." The guy said, Akutagawa and Atsushi looked at each other for a few seconds, not knowing what to say. "I don't have all night, you getting the room or not?"
"U-Uh... Yeah, we're getting the room... apparently..." he muttered the last part.
Akutagawa and Atsushi awkwardly walked to the elevator, but after catching a glimpse of it, they decided to go through the stairs. They were tired, sure, but not as tired as to ride on the elevator that Atsushi was sure would kill them if they even dared to put a foot inside.
"Here, B-5" Akutagawa said standing in front of the door. He slowly introduced the key and opened it, he entered and Atsushi entered behind him. "Oh, wow..." Akutagawa muttered.
The room didn't look any different from the hotel. It had the same dirty walls and floor, but at least it had a bed... and what they supposed was the 'sofa', which looked more like a piece of dirty fabric, sank all the way to the floor.
"I should've stayed in the street." Atsushi muttered, and Akutagawa couldn't help but to chuckle lightly. "No, for real! Look at this! I even bet the street would be more comfortable! That doesn't even look like a sofa!"
"Shut up, idiot." Akutagawa said sitting down on the border of the bed, he took off his shoes. Atsushi sighed loudly, and unconsciously sat down on the other side of the bed.
Akutagawa didn't even realized, and kept his attention on the shoe laces, Atsushi yawned and took out his boots in less than five seconds, immediately laying down on the side of the bed. Awake-Atsushi would probably know it was a bad idea, but this Atsushi felt like he could pass out any minute. Plus, any kind of problem he could solve in the morning, or in a year, it depended on when he wake up.
Akutagawa streched his arms and turned around, and jumped lightly when he saw Atsushi laying down on the bed, he didn't even seemed sorry, in fact, it seemed like was already alseep.
"Goddammit, Jinko..." he cursed under his breath. He considered to kick him out for a moment, but he seemed so relaxed, that even he would feel bad if he woke him up. But Akutagawa was tired, and he wasn't really feeling like sleeping on the sad excuse of a sofa.
He looked at Atsushi on one side of the bed, and an idea flashed on his mind. It wasn't probably the best idea, but Akutagawa didn't really liked hearing his head, specially when he was this tired.
He sighed loudly and laid down on the other side of the bed. He felt comfort when the mattress hugged his body, and Akutagawa immediately relaxed. He opened his eyes slightly and catched a glimpse of Atsushi's sleeping face, and to his own surprise, he didn't felt the burning need for murdering the man.
Atsushi was already sleeping, and Akutagawa's gaze focused on his partner's appearance, his eyes wandering from his silver hair to his small lips. Atsushi didn't seemed exactly pretty, considering they were both covered in mud, dirt, and blood, but he had a certain air that gave him a fragile look.
Not that the man was fragile, in fact, as much as Akutagawa hated to atmit it, Atsushi was pretty strong, but he always seemed to do things... elegantly. The white tiger was elegant, it was graceful, it could even be described as ethereal; unlike Rashumon, who could only be described as an ability of chaos and destruction.
Akutagawa frowned lightly, and hid his face in the pillow, trying to distract himself from his thoughts, and he finally closed his eyes. Akutagawa wasn't like Atsushi, he knew that, but that didn't exactly meant he was bad, right?
He muffled a small curse and opening his eyes once more and catched a glimpse of the weretiger sleeping, he sighed.
If Atsushi was sleeping so comfortable and without a care in the world, why couldn't he? He closed his eyes again, and this time, determined to sleep.
(He decided to not pay attention to his heartbeat growing stronger and faster with every second)
Atsushi woke up to the sound of low snoring and a small amount of sunlight in his face.
He didn't know what time it was, or if maybe he had slept around two years in a row, but at least he knew he wasn't going to move any time soon.
He didn't open his eyes, and he his face in what probably was the comfiest pillow he'd ever touched. He could feel himself cuddling against it, and he even hummed happily.
Atsushi embraced the pillow closer to him, hiding his face in it. What time it was? Probably around 10am, thank God he didn't have to go to work on Saturdays... It was Saturday, right? Atsushi's thoughts wandered and he found himself getting more awake with every passing second.
He also realized that he was lying in a bed, and he remembered that he was in a mission with Akutagawa, he felt a small amount of panic go through his spine. Had he—please, God, he begged—actually kicked Akutagawa out of the bed?
Oh no, Akutagawa was going to murder him. He would wake up and immediately find himself cut in little pieces. Akutagawa probably chopped him and he was still to asleep to realize his lack of limbs.
He heard a silent 'hm' and he felt his pillow... move. He refused to opened his eyes, but he could feel his lips curved in a nervous smile. He was dreaming, he had to be, there was just no way...
All of his lies were shattered to pieces the moment Atsushi felt an arm embrace him and bringing him closer to what Atsushi theorized wasn't a pillow. He slowly opened his eyes, and his fears were confirmed to be true.
Atsushi had indeed slept with Akutagawa...
On the same bed...
(And used him as a pillow.)
His eyes widened and his body froze. This couldn't be happening. He slowly raised his eyes to find Akutagawa's sleeping face above him. This was terrible, Atsushi was probably in danger and he was finding Akutagawa cute. Akutagawa would wake up, and cut him to pieces immediately, but he would probably distracted with Akutagawa's long eyelashes, pretty nose and slightly opened lips to notice.
Not that was paying any attention to them or anything.
He saw Akutagawa moved slightly, and he wondered if he was about to wake up. He swallowed saliva and closed his eyes once more, pretending to sleep, and maybe trying to avoid being murdered.
Although, now that he thinks about it, it was Akutagawa the one that decided to lay on the same bed as him... Again, that didn't really explain why Atsushi was resting his head on Akutagawa's chest and Akutagawa was trapping him with his arm.
Akutagawa moved once again under his touch, and Atsushi was completely sure he was almost awake. Atsushu never was a religious person, but he prayed to every god known to mankind that Akutagawa would wake up deciding to be merciful.
"What the—" a voice asked. Atsushi had to stop himself for sighing out loud. Those were probably the last words he was going to hear, so couldn't Akutagawa at least finish the sentence?
Except, that it didn't seemed like those were the last words he was going to hear, considering that Rashumon never really appeared to cut him down, even after a few seconds. Atsushi wanted to open his eyes, but didn't wanted to expose him as being awake the whole time, so he just kept pretending to sleep.
Atushi tried to listen attentively to the small 'ba-dum, ba-dum' against his ear—one that he could swear got faster with every passing second—but instead he heard Akutagawa eloquently say:
"I... uh..." he muttered, it seemed like Akutagawa was panicking, and Atsushi simply stayed quiet. "Shit... I shouldn't have done this."
Atsushi hummed lightly, trying to show Akutagawa that he was about to wake up, because he definitely hadn't been awake this whole time. Akutagawa slowly raised his hand from Atsushi's back and he felt a weird sensation of emptiness.
Akutagawa slowly started to move Atsushi's body to the side, he held Atsushi's body in between his arms. He didn't stop until Atsushi was laying in the other side of the bed, and then he slowly tried to pull back his arms.
The moment when Atsushi was left alone, he heard Akutagawa sighed. Atsushi couldn't help but thinking that the crappy hotel pillow was nothing compared to Akutagawa's chest. He tried to stop himself from blushing strongly and expose himself.
"Goddammit, Jinko..." he cursed under his breath. Atsushi felt him stand up and immediately heard footsteps going away and he suppose Akutagawa had gone to the bathroom.
He opened an eye, and after checking that he was alone in the room, Atsushi sat down on the bed and hid his face in between his fingers. His face burning of embarrassment and his fingers trembling slightly.
"There's no way that just happened" he muttered to himself. He looked around for a few seconds and stood up nervously. He would not address this with Akutagawa. Oh hell no.
He walked to the door, ready to leave the room when he heard the bathroom door open behind him, he stopped in place and he closed his eyes, cursing under his breath.
"Jinko." A voice behind him crept, Atsushi turned around with his lips curved in a nervous smile.
"Good morning." He said, Akutagawa raised an eyebrow.
"Uh, Good Morning?" He said confused, Atsushi slapped himself mentally. "Were you leaving?" He asked, Atsushi scratched his neck nervously.
"Uh, I just... Uh, i dont know, maybe?" He muttered, he bit his lip, nervous.
"Is that a yes?" He asked, Atsushi shrugged awkwardly.
"I was probably just going to escape this crappy room..." He said, Akutagawa stayed quiet for a second, so Atsushi continued: "Who on their right mind would sleep in this hotel?"
"We did, idiot." Akutagawa said, Atsushi chuckled.
"Well, yeah, but we were tired... I slept so comfortable I—" he interrupted himself when he realized he had brought up the topic of sleeping. He started laughing nervously, and Akutagawa averted his gaze, and Atsushi could swore he saw a small blush on his cheeks. "I... Yeah, I slept well..."
Akutagawa coughed slightly and used his mouth to cover half of his face, his eyes focused on the wall next to them. "Uh... me too, I... I suppose..."
Atsushi looked down with his face flustered, and they both stayed quiet for a few seconds in which Atsushi thought he would die. The silence was interrupted by Akutagawa, who said:
"Let's go downstairs, we can find a phone or something to call someone to come pick us up." He said, and without waiting for an answer, Akutagawa left the room. But if Atsushi was being honest, it looked more like he fled from the room. Atsushi stayed on the room for a few moments, before running behind Akutagawa.
"W-Who are we calling?" Atsushi asked behind him, Akutagawa didn't turn around to answer.
"I'm calling Higuchi, I don't know who are you calling." He said, Atsushi didn't bother to answer.
The same guy was sitting down in front of the reception, and they both got closer to him. He raised his head from his phone and looked at them, waiting for them to say something.
"Could you lend us a phone, please?" Atsushi asked, the guy nodded and he pointed at the wall behind them. They turned around and saw what was probably the oldest phone to exist in Yokohama. "... thanks..." he muttered, Atsushi and Akutagawa turned around and stopped in front of the ancient phone.
"You go first." Atsushi said, Akutagawa nodded and immediately started pressing numbers. Atsushi stepped back a wandered through the room, the guy behind the desk asked:
"So, neither of you slept on the sad excuse for a sofa?" He asked, Atsushi looked at him, betrayed, theguy simply smirked. "Yes, I knew, idiot. It seems like both of you slept on the bed, did you two fu—"
"N-No we didn't!" Atsushi interrupted him louder that he should've. Akutagawa gave him a weird look before he continued talking to Higuchi. The guy behind the desk laughed and Atsushi got as far as possible from him. He could feel his cheeks burning from the embarrassment.
"...yeah, goodbye." Akutagawa said, and seconds later, he hanged up the phone. He returned his gaze to Atsuhi and raised an eyebrow. "Did anything happen? Your face is red."
"N-Nothing happened!" He said, feeling his face getting even flustered. "Just... Give me the phone."
Akutagaw took a step back and Atsushi reached for the phone. He thought about it for a second and decided to call Tanizaki, the phone rang a few times before his friend answered.
"Yes? Who is this?" Tanizaki asked onthe other line.
"Is me, Tanizaki-san!" Atsushi answered.
"Oh, Atsushi-kun!" Tanizaki exclaimed. "We were worried about you!" He said, Atsushi laughed nervously.
"Yeah, sorry, yesterday we passed out on a hotel nearby." He explained.
"Wait... 'we'? You mean you and Akutagawa?" Tanizaki asked.
"Uh... yeah, we slept on the last room available."
"You slept next to him?! Do you realize how dangerous that is?! You shouldn't trust Akutagawa that much, Atsushi-kun!"
"No, no, It's fine!" Atsushi assured Tanizaki. "I swear, it's fine."
"If you say so..." Tanizaki muttered, but he didn't sound convinced. Akutagawa raised an eyebrow at Atsushi and he simply smiled awkwardly. "Anyway, what do you need?"
"Can you come and pick me up?" He asked.
"Sure, just give me the direction."
"Is, uh..." Atsushi realized he didn't know where he was, he turned to Akutagawa and smiled nervously. He covered the phone with his hand "Where are we?"
"You don't even know that? Your sense of direction never fails to amaze me." He told him, Atsushi glared at him jokingly.
"Shut up, Akutagawa! I was tired! " he whined.
"I was tired too, idiot. But I do know where we are." He said rolling his eyes.
"Just tell me!" Atsushi insisted, Akutagawa smirked and finally told him their location, Atsushi grinned at him. "You are the worst."
"Shut up."
Atsushi stuck out his tongue in a childish way, and Akutagawa simply chuckled lightly. He raised his hand from the phone and told Tanizai their location, Akutagawa simply watched, and Atsushi kept making faces at him, to which Akutagawa only rolled his eyes and turned around; Atsushi laughed, victorious.
"You two sound close." Tanizaki said on the other side of the line, Atsushi jumped in place and felt his face blush, remembering this morning.
"N-Not at all!" He responded, Tanizaki hummed lightly and sighed.
"Be careful, Atsushi-kun" He said, Atsushi raised an eyebrow and listened carefully. "I don't trust Akutagawa, he's probably waiting for you to drop your guard to attack you."
Atsushi stayed quiet for a moment, and his gaze focused on Akutagawa's back. He looked at it for a second and smiled softly.
"It's okay, Tanizaki-san." He assured him. "Is... is not like that." He told him, but Tanizaki stayed quiet for a few seconds, before sighing.
"I'm on my way to come and pick you up, stay there." Tanizaki said, Atsushi nodded and then realized that Tanizaki couldn't see him.
"Okay, thanks." He said, and moments later, the call ended. Atsushi placed the phone back to its place and sighed loudly.
"Everything good?" Akutagawa asked turning around, Atsushi nodded.
"Yup, Tanizaki-san is comming to pick me up" he told him. Akutagawa nodded lightly and stayed quiet.
After giving the key of the room to the guy behind the counter—and after he gave Atsushi a smirk that he's sure carried second meaning—they both walked outside and sat on the pavement next to each other.
"I'm tired..." Atsushi said, Akutagawa simply rolled his eyes.
"You just woke up." He remarked, Atsushi furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head.
"That doesn't count, the bed wasn't the most comfortable place in the world." He said. "I swear even the street would be more comfortable."
"I doubt it." Akutagawa said. "But the bed was pretty bad."
"Yeah, I don't understand how..." Atsushi interrupted himself when he realized they had both—unconsciously—accepted sleeping on the same bed. He coughed lightly and covered half of his face with his hand, trying to hide his flustered face. Akutagawa didn't seem to realize. "Uh... how I fell asleep so easily..." he finished. Akutagawa hummed lightly.
"The second I turned around you were already asleep, Jinko." He said "I had to..."
His words stopped, and Atsushi turned his head slightly, only to see that Akutagawa's ears had turned to a crimson color, but he, unlike Atsushi, didn't continue. The weretiger laughed flustered.
"Yup... I guess that did happen..." he said, and Akutagawa nodded. "By the way... Your chest is surprisingly quite comfortable." He said half-jocking.
Akutagawa jumped in place and turned his head to face him, his cheeks burning of embarrassment. Atsushi expected his joke to lighten the mood, but it only seemed to make it worst, Akutagawa coughed lightly and muttered something that Atsushi couldn't understand.
"What did you say?" He asked, Akutagawa sighed and averted his gaze.
"You... uh... You aren't so uncomfortable yourself." He said, Atsushi's eyes widened and he let out a small 'oh', he played with his fingers nervously. Akutagawa sighed. "This is ridiculous." He said, and Atsushi couldn't agree more.
They both stayed quiet for the rest of the time, but Atsushi wouldn't exactly describe it as an awkward silence. In fact, it was pretty... comfortable, relaxing, even. Atsushi could hear Akutagawa's breathing beside him, who was simply looking at the sky, his hair mocing slightly thanks to the breeze, he looked... pretty, Atsushi would even dare to describe him as beautiful.
Atsushi looked at him for who knows how long, but jumped in place when Akutagawa turned his head slightly to see him. They both stared at each other for a few seconds, neither of them looking away or moving back, but Atsushi didn't felt any aggression from Akutagawa, he smiled softly.
"We should do this more often." He said, Akutagawa raised an eyebrow, confused.
"Do what?" He asked.
"Hang out... I had fun, y'know?" He said, Akutagawa's eyes widened and his lips opened slightly, his cheeks turned a pink colors and Atsushu thought he looked adorable.
"I... I had—" he was interrupted by a black car suddendly stopping in front of them, they both jumped back and looked in front, where Higuchi was comming out of the vehicle.
"Akutagawa-senpai~!" She exclaimed, Higuchi walked to them and stood in front of Akutagawa and Atsushu, she bowed slightly, greeting both of them. "I'm here, we can leave! I was so worried when you didn't call yesterday!"
"My phone was dead, next time I will make sure to charge it beforehand." He said, and Higuchi nodded. After exchanging some words with her superior, she returned to the car a few moments later and waited for Akutagawa with an open door.
Akutagawa stood up and looked at Atsushi. He bowed and started leaving, and Atsushi sighed. Suddendly, Akutagawa stopped in place, and turned around, Atsushi raised an eyebrow, confused.
"What do you need?" He asked, Akutagawa coughed slightly and covered the bottom half of his face.
"I... I also had fun." He said, and before Atsushi could answer, Akutagawa had already entered the car and Higuchi was driving away.
Atsushi looked to the car for a few seconds, and without even thinking about it, he laughed out loud, amused by this side of his partner.
"Ridiculous..." he muttered while laughing, he raised his head and looked at the blue sky that stayed above his heads. "You, Akutagawa Ryunnosuke, are ridiculous...." His lips curved in a smile when he thought about Akutagawa's flustered face, and he shook his head slightly. "Maybe I am ridiculous too..."
Atsushi smiled softly and nodded slightly, pleased with today's experience. Akutagawa wasn't always the easiest person to read... But Atsushi has been thinking that lately he has gotten better at it.
He would like to repeat this... experience. After all, Akutagawa's chest was pretty comfortable.
He closed his eyes and let the breeze blow through his skin...
Yup, he was definitely ridiculous.
