Summary
They sit together on an opaque throne,
Under one home, two hearts making one whole.When everyone's favorite mystery author catches a terrible case of writers block, he thinks his savior has arrived in the form of Ranpo inviting him out on a case. What he didn't account for was to return home with thoughts of a different genre altogether, accompanied with visions of black, messy hair and fleeting mismatched eyes.
OR: Poe finds himself writing unsent love letters to Ranpo, pining for his rival, and working through the feelings of falling in love with the man you dedicated most of your 20's to killing.

Summary
It can’t end like this. Atsushi has mere minutes left, maybe less, and he can’t die listening to Akutagwa’s scolding and insults. Comfort has never come easily to Akutagwa, but he has to try. Atsushi deserves that much, at least.
But Akutagawa can’t think of what to say. He can’t tell Atsushi that it’s fine, that he’ll be okay, or any of those trite, hollow reassurances. It’s not okay, and perhaps it never will be again — not without Atsushi.
In his last moments, bloody and painful though they are, Atsushi deserves better than lies. So Akutagawa instead settles on the deepest truth he knows. Perhaps, here and now, the only truth.
“You can’t die, you useless overgrown cat,” Akutagawa snarls, half-choking on a sob. “I love you, so you can’t die. Not when I love you.”
Thinking Atsushi is dying in his arms, Akutagawa confesses his love, knowing he’ll never have another chance.
But of course Atsushi, always the thorn in Akutagawa’s side, does something wholly unexpected.
He survives.

Summary
Chuuya knew something was wrong with Dazai. Many things were wrong with him, actually, but this was different than his usual weirdness. From time to time, Dazai would sink into a depressive state; something much more solemn than his usual flippant pessimism. He’d spend days alone in his house, forgetting to eat and subsisting on nothing but cheap booze and cigarettes.
These phases frustrated Chuuya to no end. He wasn’t going to pretend like he could understand what Dazai was going through, but the depth of his helplessness in the situation irritated him. He wanted to be able to do something; to fix it. But if he’d learned one thing over the years, it was that this was one of those things that had to be waited out. There was no “fixing” it, or taking shortcuts. It was just going to be a difficult couple of weeks for Dazai. The best Chuuya could do was be there for him through it.

Summary
“I fed you,” Fukuzawa snarls in Ranpo’s mind. “I put you up. And all I asked in return was for you to be just the slightest bit useful. But you can’t even manage that, can you?”
Hot tears well in Ranpo’s eyes, so he ducks his head to hide his face beneath the brim of his cap.
“It’s no wonder you haven’t been able to stay in one place more than a few weeks. It doesn’t take much longer than that for people to realize that you’re not even worth the space you take up.”
In Ranpo’s mind, Fukuzawa then smacks him, hard, and his teeth cut into the inside of his cheek. The metallic taste and nauseating warmth of the imagined blood would be welcome, really. Anything to take his focus away from the pain swelling ever-larger in his chest.
For the first time since he started working with Fukuzawa, Ranpo solves a case too late.
