Summary
Approximately 10% of Earth's population has a gene that gives them Gifts: special abilities like super powers. Bobby Wilson, rhythm guitarist of Sunset Curve, doesn't have a Gift, but that doesn't prevent him from saving the life of Rose when he pulls her out of the Orpheum when it catches fire.
But he and Rose are the only survivors. His best friends and bandmates, Luke, Alex and Reggie, have died. Bobby is completely broken. He has no idea how to go on without them.
But Rose does.
