Chapter Text

1946, EXT. THEMYSCIRA, SUNRISE
DINAH DRAKE watches the sunrise, holding onto the marble railing of a balcony. She wears a Small chiton, hastily fastened. The wind ripples the fabric, and through her black hair. HIPPOLYTA, her girlfriend emerges from the room behind her, she wears a more elegant purple chiton. She wraps her arms around Dinah, and buries a kiss in Dinah’s neck, Dinah smiles.

Dinah:
Hey, good morning again, beautiful.

Hippolyta:
Dinah, my love.

Dinah turns in Hippolyta’s arms, and kisses her. As their lips pull away, Dinah gives Hippolyta another quick kiss.

Dinah:
We have to leave today, don’t we?

Hippolyta:
I’m afraid so.

Hippolyta cups her hand around Dinah’s cheek and kisses her. When they break apart, Dinah turns around to continue watching the sunset, while Hippolyta still holds her close.

Hippolyta:
Do you wish to leave now, or shall we stay for breakfast?

Dinah:
We should probably stay until breakfast, because I still need to pack my stuff.

Hippolyta laughs and kisses Dinah on the cheek.

Hippolyta:
You still haven’t done that? I thought you said you were going to yesterday.

Dinah:
Well, I was, but then we went for a swim by the waterfall, you took me back behind it, into that grotto, then we-

Hippolyta:
Oh, yes, I do remember that. Maybe after you pack, we’ll have time to do something like that again.

Dinah:
Well, I’d never say no to that, angel. But for now let’s just stay out here. It’s really nice in your arms.

Dinah caresses Hippolyta’s cheek with her right hand, Hippolyta kisses her palm.

Hippolyta:
It’s delightful having you in my arms. I never want to let you go.

Hippolyta buries a kiss in Dinah’s neck.
Pull back on them standing there, Hippolyta’s arms wrapped around Dinah, as they watch the sunrise.

INT. THE JSA MEETING ROOM.

The door swings open, and BLACK CANARY and WONDER WOMAN/Hippolyta step in. Inside the room are GREEN LANTERN, FLASH, WILDCAT, DOCTOR MID-NITE, and THE ATOM.

Green Lantern:
Dinah. Hippolyta. Glad you’re both here, now we can get started.

Black Canary and Hippolyta take seats, making sure that they’re next to each other. Black Canary leans into Hippolyta, and then looks around doing a quick mental headcount.

Black Canary:
We’re missing a few people.

Green Lantern:
Yes. We’ve had some membership changes while you were both away. Rex is trying to retire again, and Carter and Shiera are taking some time off, so Carter asked me to fill in as chairman.

Hippolyta:
Congratulations, Alan! You were the natural choice.

Alan:
I’m glad you think so, I actually recommended you for the position.

Hippolyta:
I appreciate that, but I think you’ll do quite well.

Black Canary:
Hey, where’s Kent?

Wildcat:
Said he had a mystic duel to prepare for, with that creep Wotan.

Green Lantern:
Now that everyone’s here, we can begin. As I just explained, we’ve had some recent downsizing. However, we still have much to worry about.

INT. Opal City Museum.
The Guard drops to the floor. Two tiger print boots walk past the unconscious body.
A figure walks into the middle of the museum room, a large banner announces “Artifacts of Camelot”
She pulls out a perfume bottle and a 1946 aerosol can. She opens the perfume, which puffs into the air, then she sprays it with the can. The mist from this reveals an array of thin strings. The figure nimbly springs through them, ducking in and out to avoid breaking them.

JSA HQ:
Green Lantern:
In our last confrontation with our old foes the Injustice Society, two members escaped. Sportsmaster and Wizard, we haven’t invested much into finding them, mostly because they always find a way to pop back up. However, it seems we should start looking.

Museum:
She lands on the other side and looks around. She sees a glass case to her right housing a necklace, she smashes that and puts on the necklace, as she does this we see her face, it’s THE HUNTRESS.

JSA HQ:
Green Lantern:
As, Paula Brooks, alias: Huntress, was recently sprung from prison. Solomon Grundy as well. We don’t know what they are planning, but we should place careful watch on the other members of their gang.

Museum:
Huntress smiles admiring her new jewelry, before turning to a larger display case containing a wand in it.
She walks up to, and smashes the case.
She lifts the wand up.

Huntress [whispering]:
Hinc auferat.

She disappears in a flash of light.

JSA HQ:
Green Lantern:
Our other ongoing threat is someone named T.O.Morrow. We know nothing about him, save that he claims to be from the future, and that he has access to incredible technology, he built an android able to battle with several JSA members at once. Luckily it was deactivated.

The Flash:
His Red Tornado android mopped the floor with me, Rex, and Charles. Took the Hawks joining in to bring it down. Even then, I think it stopped itself.

Dr. Mid-Nite nods his agreement.

Wildcat [inserting himself]:
If I was there I would’a-

Museum:
From nothingness appears the superhero: PHANTOM LADY. She pulls her goggles down over her eyes, and begins looking around the room. She notices the empty display case and walks over to it. She sees a piece of paper and picks it up, giving it a read.
She pulls out a handheld radio device and clicks it on.

Phantom Lady:
Sam, you might want to contact the JSA, I’ve got something I think they’d like to hear about.

JSA HQ:
Wildcat finishes speaking, the rest of the JSA look tired of him.
Green Lantern:
Thank you for the input, Ted. Now, with all that layed out, does anyone have any questions?

The Atom:
Have we searched the Injustice Society’s old hideouts yet?

Green Lantern:
Not yet, Carter was planning to-

He’s cut off by the JSA radio jumping to life.

Uncle Sam:
Calling the Justice Society of America, this is Uncle Sam from the Freedom Fighters. Someone’s robbed the Glastonbury wand, and they left a note for you:

Uncle Sam [reading]:
Greetings, Justice Society,
I have come to your time from the far future to challenge you, earth’s greatest heroes. I was getting a little bored back home. As you’ll soon know I can use science in ways you’d never dream of. Good luck trying to defeat me. To demonstrate my awesome power, I think I’ll disappear the Sapphire State building. Then my crime wave will commence.
-Landor, The Man Who Knows Too Much

Green Lantern:
Thank you for the warning, we’ll get right on-

The JSA radio starts beeping.

Green Lantern:
-we’re getting another alert, give me a moment.

He picks up the alert.

Policeman on Radio:
This is officer roberts, the sapphire state building just disappeared, any you JSA guys know anything about that?

Green Lantern:
We may, but-

The alert starts beeping again. Flash speeds over to the radio.

Flash:
We’re getting six more alerts.

Green Lantern:
I’m willing to bet they all have something to do with our Man Who Knows Too Much.

Cut to: later.
Flash quickly hands everyone a piece of paper.

Green Lantern:
These are the locations of the six alerts. There are seven of us, so that means we’ll have to split up, with one team of two.

Dinah:
Me and Hippolyta are good to go together, right angel?

Hippolyta:
Of course, Dinah. You know I’d accompany you anywhere.

Dinah lovingly squeezes her hand.

Green Lantern:
Glad that’s settled, you two take the mint. Flash, can you drop off Mid-Nite in New York, Wildcat in Opal, and Atom in Calvin, before making it out to Nevada?

The Flash:
I think so.

Hippolyta:
If you need, we can drop off somebody on our way to the mint.

Green Lantern:
That might be best.

Green Lantern prepares to leave, Doctor Mid-Nite then asks him a question.

Doctor Mid-Nite:
Do you think our mysterious attacker is connected to T.O.Morrow.

Green Lantern:
It’s not unlikely.

Green Lantern turns back to the group.

Green Lantern:
Everyone, good luck out there.

Wildcat:
We’re the Justice Society of America, we won’t need it.

Green Lantern:
Alright, JSA, let’s move!

Final shot of the JSA springing into action.
