Looking at the steaming, perfectly delicious instant ramyeon, Kim Rok Soo sigh softly and reach his hand to the chopsticks held cheerfully by his newest junior coworker.
Being in a middle of apocalypse, where foods are scarce and even the cheapest instant ramen are treated like diamonds... One would think that having so many of them is a blessing from God.
If you think with that mindset, Kim Rok Soo is a really blessed and filthy rich bastard.
Ehhㅡ with where are we going, you'd probably assume that this Kim Rok Soo is a terribly ungrateful person.
Perish those thoughts! Kim Rok Soo has eat a horribly hairy lizard monster before and decides that it tasted rather good.

Kim Rok Soo's poor soulmate that keeps chugging milk everytime he eats the noodles.
The infinite amount noodles that they had and all of them is regretfully an extra hot fire noodles.
That Kim Rok Soo likes to eat with double sauce packet whenever he felt stressed.

Kim Rok Soo decides that it is definitely not his problem and began to dig in into the ramyeon his fluffy haired hoobae makes. With extra dried green onions and sauce.

The world suddenly attacked by monsters and people with abilities emerge one by one, adding the chance of humanity survival points.
Food are scarce, mostly because plants and animals can't survive in this monster ridden environment.

The dairies and meat will go rancid first, then leafty vegetables would withered. Bread and other confectionery would dried out and go stale after some time.
The only options is packaged foods.
Canned food is your best choice, there's still tinned and bottled beverages, grab those because we will be running out of water soon.

The taste of beef steak cooked perfectly to medium rare with healthy amount of vegetables... broccolies, carrots and ...asparagus? And thenㅡ the taste of a buttery pie shell, the filling... Cinnamon, hint of something alcoholic and brown sugar... Apple pie.
And as if that isn't enough, this wonderful soulmate of his top it up with some of the fanciest tasting beverage Kim Rok Soon have ever taste.
This didn't make any sense. Kim Rok Soo thought.
Okay, so maybe he felt a little guilt for donating some risk of heart failure to his soulmate.
Okay maybe not little.
'I should tried to find some canned tuna or peas sometime later. '

Thus that's Kim Rok Soo's first step for a healthy lifestyle amidst the apocalypse.
As if God have listened to every of his thoughts, today's monster horde is the edible one.

Kim Rok Soo couldn't help to judge.
And apparently his whole squad also think on the same wavelength as he is, thank God.

He's glad that his soulmate stops eating the same thing for months. It seems that he even starting to eat meat as well... Though its taste is more to a banana...

For days he sends messages with a little vocabulary he had learned from Auntie Tasha. He's a smart boy, Auntie said so, he learned fast.
Sending messages requires energy, so he makes sure to eat more.
Then he learn that one can transfer some of nutrients and the feeling of fullness from the food ones eats through soul bonds. It's said that a pair of soulmates is from the same soul.
So he eats even more and more. He request for more healthier meals each day.
As a child, he eats more than a full grown man eats in a day. But his weight never changes. Sometimes, the Crown Prince looks thinner in some days. It causes some nasty rumors among the nobles that wants to bring him down.
That the Crown Prince's destined life companion is too deprived to even live.
Insulting his soulmate is same as insulting a royalty. They are from the same soul after all. Moreover they excitedly spouting that rumor even at his presence.
