Chapter 1

Mezo Shouji Created a New Group

Mezo Shouji added Yuga Aoyama, Rikido Sato, Toru Hagakure, and 6 others.

 

Mezo Shouji: Hello.

Toru Hagakure: hiiiiii

Rikido Sato: Hey man

Yuga Aoyama: bonne soirée mon ami! Qu'est-ce que c'est ? Je suis assez intrigué !

Tsuyu Asui: what is this?

Yuga Aoyama: Mademoiselle Tsuyu, quel plaisir !

Tsuyu Asui: I don’t speak french.

Yuga Aoyama: mes excuses ma dame

Tsuyu Asui: still don’t speak it.

Mashirao Ojiro: What’s going on?

Mezo Shouji: Ok wow, wasn’t expecting such a quick response.

Mezo Shouji: It’s a chat.

Kyouka Jiro: yeah we got that

Mashirao Ojiro: Ok, sorry if this is a stupid question but don’t we already have a class chat?

Mezo Shouji: Yeah.

Mezo Shouji: But it’s 99% Bakugo fighting with Todoroki or Kaminari spamming memes

Tsuyu Asui: i only use it to ask questions about homework.

Tsuyu Asui: and they don’t usually get answered. they just get buried under all the memes.

Kyouka Jiro: terrible memes

Kyouka Jiro: i don’t even open it

Kyouka Jiro: can’t afford to waste bleach on my eyes

Yuga Aoyama: je suis d'accord, ils irritent mon estomac encore plus qu'il ne l'est déjà

Kyouka Jiro: cool

Rikido Sato: I’m still confused. Why did you make this?

Mezo Shouji: That’s what I’m trying to explain.

Toru Hagakure: ooh! can I guess?

Mezo Shouji: Sure.

Toru Hagakure: your perceptive nature has allowed you to realize that we are usually standing in the shadows of our stronger, more outspoken classmates (as illustrated in the group chat example), and thought it would be beneficial for those of us who don’t get very much attention to gather in a smaller group to socialize?

Mezo Shouji: I

Mezo Shouji: Actually, yeah.

Mezo Shouji: That’s exactly what I was gonna type.

Mezo Shouji: Minus the perceptive nature part.

Rikido Sato: No, you are pretty perceptive

Rikido Sato: But Hagakure, do you have ESP or something?!

Toru Hagakure: nah, I’m just reading what he’s typing over his shoulder

Kyouka Jiro: quit screaming so loud, ur gonna give me hearing loss

Koji Kouda: I think that’s a really good idea, Shouji :) it was nice of you to think of us

Mezo Shouji: Thanks Kouda.

Mezo Shouji: It was just a random idea though.

Mezo Shouji: Feel free to leave if you want.

Toru Hagakure: huh? No way, this is great!

Rikido Sato: I’m with Hagakure! This’ll be fun

I've been wanting to do a chatfic for a while now, but there are so many already that I wanted to make it unique. Hence, the background characters.

A lot of thought went into this. I'm trying to write as realistically as possible and avoid certain things that tend to annoy me about this genre (e.g. all characters texting in the same "voice", plot moving too fast, reusing jokes.) I hope I'm doing a good job so far!
