Jeff was pretty fucking stoked.
It was his first day at his new job, and he was already being given awesome responsibilities; unlike his last job at the Shakeshack, where they never trusted him with anything important.
He's sure that after this mission, all the big wigs in management will know his name. He'll be on the fast track to promotion like he deserves!
"Alright, newbie", Rollins growled at Jeff without even really looking at him. " We're all gonna distract Cap at the front doors. ALL you have to do is sneak in from the back and shoot him with this tranq. Got it? It's strong enough to take down a t-rex, there's no way you can mess this up."
Jeff couldn't wait to take this moron's job some day. "Of course Sir! I can do it, I'm the right man for the job Sir, I'm a sharpshooter-"
"Shut the fuck up" Rollins cut him off. " I didn't ask for your fucking life story, Jesus Christ."
While Jeff was plotting his revenge on his hot head supervisor, the fight had already started, and he realized it was his time to shine. He lined up the tranq gun, stabilized his feet, and fired.
"Oh shit."
Jeff's tranq dart missed Captain America's neck and was sticking out of his ear, the sedative clearly not reaching his system at all.
"Oh fuck, oh shit, OH FUCKING SHIT!" Jeff exclaimed while an enraged Steve Rogers slowly turned to meet his would be attacker.
Jeff was about to die; he knew it. He suddenly saw the error in his ways and longed to be back in his shitty community college, taking shitty notes, with the glimmer of a shitty lower management position in his shitty future.
As America’s golden boy charged at him, shield raised to strike, all he could think was “ Hail fucking Hydra.”
