Work Text:

The  <Underworld> was feeling pressure from Olympus for its powers, even Kim Dokja could sense it, so he wasn’t surprised by the arranged marriage his father got for him. He was just surprised by who it was.

“Didn’t you say the <Shadow Realm> didn’t like us?” Kid Kim Dokja asked as he sat on his mother's lap, creating flowers like his mother showed him.

“In some cases, the benefits out way the dislike held between both parties.” His mother replied without really answering his question, something the child didn’t notice as he was busy creating the flower and feeling happy she was petting his head. Persephone worried about her child, a child she was never meant to have due to the story that cursed her to have no children. Hades was alright with it, unwilling to have another wife other than her. It seemed they were blessed for their loyalty to one another with the form of Kim Dokja who held a future no one else could read. It scared her to the point she begged her husband to find a strong marriage partner for this child, needing to know the partner of her child could protect him from anything the future may throw at them.

That’s how Hades got in contact with the <Shadow Realm>, a Realm that hold no alliance to any of the major Nebula and ruled by one person, Ashborn. They had assumed Ashborn will never have a heir, so when they heard the announcement of a child being born from the <Shadow Realm>, they sent a proposal. Many other nebulas did the same, but they were rejected. Only the one sent from the <Underworld> received a reply that wasn’t a rejection.

There were several back and forth between the two nebula’s until they both reached an agreement on a deal. A clause in it was that the children could decide to break the marriage without it affecting the trade deals established by the two nebulas, something Persephone was adamant about to ensure her child wasn’t in a loveless marriage.

“When will I get to meet him?!” Kim Dokja couldn’t help but ask with excitement as he bounced off his mother lap with the flowers he created, anxious to show his father.

“In a week's time, His father has to organize stuff in his realm before coming to our realm.” Persephone smiled at the cheerful jumping Kim Dokja did as they walked towards her husband's office. She was happy Hades showered their son in praises when he saw the small flowers he made. They were nothing like the ones she makes, but it was a start, and she didn’t want to discourage him.

“Do you know your Modifier yet?” Kim Dokja asked the kid who he dragged with him to the flower field after his parents gave them permission to run off.

“N-No? My dad said we don’t get one until we start doing Scenario’s, and we’re too young for that.” Sung Jinwoo answered as he allowed himself to get dragged around by his betroth. When his father told him he found him someone from a worthy nebula to be betrothed to, he had expected them to be more mature. He was glad that wasn’t the case.

“Well, I can’t wait! Imagine the stories we could make! My Father said he’ll send me on personalized scenarios with you, so we can bond. Does your dad have something set up for us?” Kim Dokja was a boy with a million question but decided not to overwhelm his new friend with all of them.

“Yes, he said he wants me to build up my powers with you, so we can be good rulers.” Sung Jinwoo was happy when his father informed him of that, since that meant he didn’t have to do the scenarios alone.

“Let's get lots and lots of modifiers!” Kim Dokja wished he could get as many stories that he could and create amazing ones with his new friend and future spouse. He wanted to make sure he was a good ruler who had stories to protect both nebulas.

They were just boys, but the plans for the future were being set in stone. The trails they would face would never be alone due to the smart actions of their parents in finding them the perfect spouse for one another.

“I just don’t like how he looks at you.” He knew he was pouting, but Sung Jinwoo <Monarch of voidless soldiers> couldn’t help it as he looked at the Sponsored incarnation his husband had.

“Oh please. It’s just a form of gratitude. You know I would never take advantage of my incarnation like other constellations do.” Kim Dokja <Watcher of Light and Darkness> waved at his incarnation who was walked towards them with a glare that was directed at Sung Jinwoo. Kim Dokja was none the wiser and assumed the answer was directed at him who didn’t give his incarnation enough coins for the scenario they just went through.

“No need to look so mad. I gave you just enough coins that you could succeed in. You can’t depend on me for everything!” Kim Dokja teased his Incarnation, who just recently became a transcendent with his guiding hand.

“So this is your husband?” Yoo Joonghyuk ignored the teasing as he glanced at the strong constellation behind his sponsor. He could recall <Watcher of Light and Darkness> nagging to him about his husband pulling him away from the stream, which annoyed him to no end.

“Isn’t he just handsome?! Now, don’t go falling in love, or I’ll tell <Abyssal Black Flame Dragon> about the betrayal to his incarnation.” Kim Dokja joked, already knowing Yoo Joonghyuk wouldn’t fall in love with his husband. Even if he did, Sung Jinwoo wouldn’t pay attention to the Incarnation, finding him an annoying existence that takes away his husband attention and coins.

“What’s the next scenario?” Yoo Joonghyuk asked with a roll of his eyes.

“Straight to the point. This is why you're my incarnation” Kim Dokja smiled before getting to business.
