Sebastian, Kay, and Trucy like to build pillow forts in the living room the night before Sebastian has a case. It helps him calm down, knowing that he and his family are safe and sound.
Raymond gave Sebastian a lot of his old clothes from when Gregory was still alive. He likes to joke that Sebastian and Miles are the spitting image of himself and his mentor back in the day. (He gets pretty emotional about it the first time.)
Phoenix is usually the one Sebastian goes to when his anxiety gets the better of him. The old defense attorney isn’t one to deny comfort to the boy, so the two often end up spending time practicing piano together.
At some point, Sebastian traveler to Germany to study under Franziska. During that time, Franziska often found herself receiving odd gifts from the boy, such as pressed flowers and painted rocks. It turns out, he just thought she was being stressed out by him and wanted to fix that. The next time she saw him, she gave him a hug and his own riding crop. (He doesn’t use it, but keeps it with him for good luck in the courtroom.)
Sebastian gets overwhelmed in particularly rough cases, often having sensory overloads due to the stress of everything coming down on him. When this happens at the office, Klavier lets him sit in his office, which was soundproofed after Blackquill complained about the “mopey guitar music.” The two often end up falling asleep on the couch together, cuddled up and safe from harm. Miles has to send Kay to wake them up.
Miles and Sebastian have a lot in common, though Miles keeps learning more about his son. The two often spend late nights talking to each other about themselves, cases, hobbies, interests, and more when Sebastian is preparing for cases. Even if Sebastian falls asleep halfway through the night, Miles always makes sure to carry him to his room and tuck him in before heading off to bed himself. He can’t have his son complaining about stiff shoulders during court, right?
Sometimes, in the strangest circumstances, Sebastian will find himself being serenaded by Trucy and Klavier with some song from a popular kids show when he comes back home from the office. No one, not even Phoenix, knows how Klavier got into their house, but no one really seems to mind. (Except for Apollo, on the rare occasions that he’s visiting.)
Kay, even though she’s super energetic and loud at times, can always tell when her brother is having a bad day. She tries her best to lower her voice and spend quiet time with him to offer her support. Sebastian appreciates it more than Kay knows.
Miles and Phoenix always try to support all of their kids, but especially Sebastian when they see he’s having a hard time. They’ll ask Gumshoe to watch Trucy so they can wait for Sebastian after trials, then take him out to get food from his favorite restaurant. It makes Sebastian cry every single time, out of joy.
