Chapter 1: Experiment Start
Chapter Text
They did not have the right space for all of this. With their dinky little workshop trying to put things together that the boss wanted was like trying to fix a car with lego.
“Hey Sam, got anything yet?” one of the technicians looked over to their friend’s desk with all sorts of items placed on it and with a large monitor with various signals playing on.
“Looking, but I swear we might have to do some more tests…” jotting some chicken scratch on the clipboard, the engineer let out a deep sigh. “Boss wants results,”
“Do we have any idea why?” the taller of the two pulled up a chair, sitting down to stare at the screen with big letters spelling out Pending…
“Boss said that if we can get them to produce then we can get grants from the state,” Sam put down the clipboard and turned around. “Then we’ll have more funding for other projects,”
“Sure but don’t you think that’s a little odd? I mean he owns the franchise as well as the robots, is this really all about money?”
Sam nodded. “Plus I’m pretty sure if we get it right we can get raises, if we sell the tech to medical science then we’d be set for life,”
“Eh, I mean I’m not complaining,” they chuckled, situating their cap better on their head. “But I guess I have a few questions. Why not build another robot for this specific purpose and why the bear?”
“According to notes, that model has the most capacity and secondly those are priced at over a mil each, I don’t see the boss wanting to start over when we can just modify the ones we have.”
The computer beeped, catching their attention.
“Holy shit, is that right?”
“For our job’s sakes, I do hope so,”
—
Freddy hadn’t gotten that good of sleep in days. When he opened his eyes he found his body almost completely tangled in various blankets and sheets. It took a minute to free himself from the cocoon, but somehow he managed without tearing any of them. Getting up caused all of his joints to squeak in protest, the bear stretching his limbs from the inactivity.
He stepped out of his room and into the hall. A good walk should do him well. His presence seemed to have alerted Chica and Roxanne who were standing and talking but stopped when they saw him.
“Oh, Freddy hi!!” The chicken ran up to him, wrapping her arms around his middle. “Goodness, I was so worried about you! Are you feeling better?”
He paused, doing a quick self-check. Miraculously the uncomfortable warmth had subsided. “Yes, I do believe I am feeling better,”
“Excellent!” she turned to the wolf who was walking towards them. “Freddy says he’s feeling better!”
“Aw that is good to hear,” she sighed softly, seemingly genuinely relieved. “You’ve been out of it for 2 whole days, Monty wanted to wake you up to make sure you didn’t die or anything but Vanessa convinced him to leave you be,” Roxy looked back as Chica seemed to lose her train of thought, running down the hall to something else. “And don’t worry, the guys downstairs said that the test was negative,”
He felt a huge weight be removed from his shoulders. “Oh, that is a relief…”
“So how about we celebrate, yeah? We have to go back to work tomorrow anyway,” Roxy grabbed his hand and guided the bear to the main atrium. It was empty during closing time, the only lights were the soft glowing neon signs around the other attractions.
Other than a few security robots who paced the halls the entire building was pretty much all to themselves at this point. It made taking time off quite nice because it seemed like no matter how much you explored it felt like you hadn’t gotten everything down.
Roxanne brought Freddy over to the mini-golf area, the one that was themed around Monty himself and was basically his attraction. The elevator played a voice clip from Monty, or most likely just some spiel with the bots voice box given he didn’t really talk like that normally.
“Monty was down here last I heard,” Roxy explained as the elevator stopped, open doors revealing the atmosphere of the room.
It was indeed a minigolf room, with a large lake at the center with little rivers going through the course. Going down the set of stairs to the main area, it was hard to spot the gator through the sea of green.
“Where was he?” Freddy eyed all of the attraction, trying to find the auburn mohawk.
“He was just over there but he might have moved,” the wolf followed suit.
As Freddy got to the railing of one of the rivers, he noticed something bubbling under the surface. Knitting his brows in confusion, he leaned in for a better look before something erupted out of the water with a snarl. Grabbing the bear by his shoulders, he was dragged into the muddy waters. By the time he reached the surface again, he heard laughter.
“Gotcha!” Roxy was gripping onto the railings with an iron hand, resting her forehead on the edge as she tried to contain her laughter.
Turning to see what had grabbed him was a now very wet Monty.
“Listen I didn’t wanna drag you in, my claw got stuck on your shoulder joint-” he was chuckling as well, but did look a little concerned. “It’s good to have you back, bud,”
Given the circumstances, Freddy couldn’t help but to laugh as well. “I should have expected something from you two,”
The gator was kind enough to help the other out of the water, ringing out some of the fur that was soaked down to the core.
“Hey guys! Who wants pizza?” Chica dashed down the stairs with a box of leftovers, thankfully not the ones that had been thrown away just yet. None of them really needed to eat, but with the newer additions, they could at least do so without messing up any of their internal mechanisms.
One of the party rooms opened, normally decorated with birthday banners, was now a long handwritten one that said ‘Welcome Back!’ in large letters. It looked like it was drawn on with crayons.
“Did you guys set this up for me..?” the balloons were all inflated, though a little poorly with a few sagging down. But it was charming.
“Yeah, it was Chica’s idea actually,” Roxanne took a chair at the center table. “The prank was my idea,”
“As expected,” A towel was thrown on his head as Monty had returned.
“This was the only thing that they had in the janitor’s room, sorry,” he offered a small apologetic smile.
Taking the towel, the bear tried to dry off as much as possible before sitting down at the table. It felt small, but then again they were made for humans much smaller than him. At least they held up his weight.
Now that everyone was at the table it made him realize just how thankful he was for all of them. It felt warm and comforting that they all took time out of their free time to make sure that he felt welcomed back after only a few days off. It felt more like a family.
“I just wanted to say, thank you again,” Freddy couldn’t help but tear up a little, at least he could pass it off for it being river water. “You’re all too kind,”
Chica already had her face full of pizza, but she nodded anyway before swallowing. “Anything for you!”
At least now things felt like they were going to go back to normal.
—
The days bled back together as routine settled in. After a week of ‘maintenance’ shows started back up as they normally did. It felt nice to do them again, just to see those happy little faces in the crowd once again. Cute little kids that were just happy to see them, not even expecting much. Even when he would come over to sing happy birthday he could tell some couldn’t even hold their excitement. Holding up a little girl to take photos with her only for her to grasp at the bear’s fur and mutter about how much he felt like her teddy at home.
That’s what they were for after all. Freddy couldn’t tell if the feeling was programmed into him or if he genuinely loved the children but either way he really couldn’t care otherwise. His eyes caught on one child who wore a little headband with small round bear ears on top. It was odd, but he felt like he couldn’t look away. They had to be no older than six, with small giggles that accompanied all small children but this time it felt… different.
Freddy blinked, manually ripping his gaze away before anyone could see he had been staring. What was that about?
By the time the mall started shutting down, Freddy was still preoccupied with the odd thoughts, almost mindlessly roaming down the halls. Normally he felt tired enough to just shower and go back to his room but now he felt restless.
“Hey, Teddy,” the bear was snapped out of his train of thought. “Earth to Fazbear!”
“O-oh- sorry Roxanne… I was thinking…” he laughed softly.
“You looked like a zombie, what are you doing way down here?” the wolf placed a hand on her hips.
“I-I don’t know… I’m not sure how I got here…” he eyed the hallway. It was the one that sat near the elevator, used for storage and other things.
“You seem tense, you okay?”
Freddy pondered that thought. Was he? It was hard to tell. Instead, he just shrugged.
“Hey, I have an idea,” she grinned mischievously as she took his hand, dragging him into one of the storage rooms. “Stress relief?”
His breath hitched. Even after the whole fiasco with the heat nonsense, they had gotten some time to ‘mess around’. And surprisingly it did make a good stress reliever. It was almost like hitting the soft reboot button on any mental problem.
“Okay but… just make sure that no one can see…” Freddy watched as Roxanne went back to the door and shut it.
“No cameras in here,” she smiled warmly, strutting over. The first thing she did was bury her hands in the bear’s soft fur before pulling him down to entrap his lips into hers.
It was nearly intoxicating, but the need for the warmth seemed to become more apparent as he wrapped his own hands around her to bring her closer. Orange fur melted into gray-blue, the wolf wrestling her tongue to taste the bear’s breath. He stumbled a little as she pulled away, a string of drool connecting their mouths together.
“Might be easier to sit down Teddy,” she let go, sinking down to the floor with the bear. “God I’m going to have to ask what kind of soap you use because your fur is to die for…”
“It’s just the stuff in the blue bottle…” he chuckled mildly, trying to get comfortable on the hard flooring. What was interesting is he felt the need for touch ever since the incident, had he been touch starved this whole time and didn’t know it?
It seemed the case as Roxy’s hands returned to feeling him up, pausing at his inner thighs and lightly running her claws over his skin making the muscles there tense as he took in a sharp breath. The bear leaned more into the wall, grabbing at a wooden box for stability as he watched with a keen eye to everything the other was doing. She worked like she was an expert in this, at least she knew a lot more than Freddy did or rather more than he would ever be comfortable in searching.
The wolf started placing kisses on his chest, trailing down until she got to his pelvic plating. With one swift motion, she opened the hatch releasing him to the open air with a shiver.
“Looks like someone’s excited,” she grinned, trailing her fingertips across the blatantly damp area. With a short chuckle, she leaned back to open her own hatch, letting out a somewhat relieved sigh.
Freddy still didn’t really understand the technicals of it, but the sight must have been some kind of Pavlov response with how much it excited him. He didn’t know if it was normal or not but he sure as hell wasn’t about to look.
“You good there? You’re staring,” Roxy snickered as the ursine bot snapped out of whatever trance he got into.
“O-oh that was rude of me I’m sorry-”
She laughed once more, scooting forward. “Nah, it’s cute. Like holding a treat for a puppy,” Now closer to his face she bared her incisors, her warm tool rubbed against the bear’s sensitive part. “Now tell me, are you ready for your treat?”
With a shudder he nods, feeling the warmth leave only to be replaced sinking to his core with a short gasp. The grip on the wood tightened as random muscles twitched.
“Oh I nearly forgot how lovely you feel~” the wolf purred, grabbing the bear’s leg and pulling it up to turn him on his side. With a better grip, she pulled back a bit before giving her hips a thrust. “How’s this?”
"A-ah yes…" the position gave a somewhat comfortable stretch, allowing access to more areas at once. “Do that… k-keep going..”
The canine bot was happy to oblige, tightening her grip on the other’s hip and draping his leg over her shoulder before starting to move. She leaned more into the strokes, bending the bear further as she did so, earning breathy moans from under her. Satisfied with the noises, she reached her free hand around to playfully grab at the small tail that wagged with excitement, scratching at the base.
“I’m your favorite, right?” Roxy asked, punctuating with a quick jolt of her hips.
“Mmh.. Come on Roxy.. y-you know that- aah… that I do not have favorites-” he draped his arm over his face, panting heavily through noises of ecstasy.
“Hey, it was worth a shot,” she grinned, leaning down to nip his inner thigh before speeding up her attempts.
Freddy’s breath hitched, tensing his muscles. “O-oh good gah-!”
It was probably one of her favorite things to witness, someone as important as the main character of the entire franchise, he had his name on the building for crying out loud, being so easy to crumble at her own touch. It fueled her ego further, squeezing the small puffball tail to see just what reaction she could get.
Though Roxy’s trance was broken at the sound of footsteps, causing her to pause to hear better. Through the walls, she could see the silhouette of something coming closer.
“Where did you guys go?? You were supposed to be cleaned an hour ago!” the typically annoyed voice of their handler rang through the halls.
“Ooh.. better be quiet.. Wouldn’t want her finding us would we?” the wolf grinned, deciding then was the perfect time to slam back in causing the bear to scramble with covering his own mouth and muffling the keen that threatened to give them away.
“R-Roxy this isn’t the time-” he said in a sharp whisper, though the idea of being so close to being found out was so exhilarating, it was difficult to explain.
The approaching steps made his breath quicken further, eyes on the door as they grew louder. The pattern of the steps made it obvious that Ness was rather pissed, though the fact that the doors before were not getting busted down showed that she didn’t bother looking in them. The idea of the door opening and the woman coming in on them doing something just so inappropriate might as well have injected liquid anxiety right into the bear’s brain but it added to the adrenaline that fueled whatever exploratory things they were doing.
The footsteps faded, leaving the two as still as statues. It was quiet enough to hear every whirr of motor, every click of gear that kept the two automatons working.
“Roxanne, go- GO!” the bear grabbed her arm, pulling her into his chest as she almost immediately went as fast as her body would allow.
With an animalistic snarl, she dug her claws into the plush fur before shoving the last bit in with a pop. Arms wrapped around her torso as the two rode out the white-hot climax with twin cries, fear of being found seemingly long gone.
By the time he was calmed, Freddy noticed the gentle tapping on his chest.
“O-oh I am so sorry-!” he released the wolf he was practically crushing with his arms, who coughed momentarily.
“It’s fine, just a little unexpected,” Roxy laughed breathlessly, moving until she was resting her chin on her arm. “So… what was that about..? You got a kink?”
“I-I don’t know… it was just like… a rush of something…” Freddy tugged on his ear, unsure of what to make of the situation.
“Hey, maybe we can try something like that again sometime~” she stuck her tongue out playfully, earning a flustered chuff in response.
The floor was rather uncomfortable, but given the fact that they were stuck together, would have to be something dealt with until later.
“Okay.. maybe in some kind of way… we can explore some more..”
“Excellent, I wanna see how you tick, Teddy,” she rested her head on the bear’s chest, pressing her ear against the soft material to hear all of the working parts on the inside. Somehow it was soothing.
For the next five or so minutes they sat in comfortable silence, getting some more of that needed physical attention that Freddy didn’t really know he needed that badly. It was like a vital part of his well-being.
“Okay hold still,” Roxanne sat up, scooting back enough to tug herself out with a sharp gasp and just as quickly shutting her hatch and getting up from the floor.
Freddy followed suit, only to lose vision for a second along with his balance, grabbing the wall for stability.
“Shit you okay??” the wolf lunged in to grab his other arm to prevent him from falling.
A bright red light went off, with a warning.
“Oh… I’m just low on NTS, nothing too serious!” he waved her off, shutting his own port. “I’m just going to go down and get someone to help me out,”
“As long as you’re sure, don’t want you passing out in the hallway,” she watched as he casually walked to the door.
“Yes, thank you again, Roxy,” Freddy paused, going back to the wolf and placing a kiss on her cheek before disappearing out the door.
Roxanne stayed in place, utter confusion going through her mind. “Hey, you’re the one supposed to be flustered-”
—
“Hello? Anyone down here?” The ursine bot ducked into parts and service, hoping someone was around to help.
A human who had been behind a stack of boxes poked their head out. “Oh, it’s just you,” they huffed, standing up and walking over. “Need anything?”
“Yes, I seem to be low on NTS and need someone to replenish my system,” the human brought him over to the chair, where he sat down and watched them type something down on a tablet.
“What in the world is NT- oh, you mean you guy’s blood,” they grabbed the wire from the ceiling, plugging it into the bear’s port.
“Nutrition Transport Substitute, yes, I suppose you could call it our blood,”
“Hm…” they scrolled through what he could only assume was all of his data and based on how long it took for them to score he also assumed that it was a lot. What he didn’t expect was something to make their eyes go wide.
“Uh…” he laughed nervously, tapping the armrest. “Is there a problem..?”
The technician seemed to only just now remember that he was there, clearing their throat and going back to the bear.
“Oh no, no problem,” they waved a hand. “Though I am going to need to put you in power-down mode, for now, there’s something I need to check,”
Something was clicked, shutting down the bot before he was able to protest.
—
By the time he had power returned to him, Freddy was in an entirely different place. It didn’t seem like he was supposed to be awake, given that his maintenance hatch was still open, and it seemed like two people were still poking around in it and muttering to themselves. The room he was in was white and sterile, vastly different than the normal area he was normally in but this one didn’t feel any better.
“Ah.. excuse me what’s going on..?” he asked nervously, jolting when one of the humans jumped up and hit their head on the frame of his hatch.
“Shit why is it awake-” the person muttered a little louder than probably intended, though seeing that they weren’t able to hide anything now, they stepped out into the open.
“Okay so, you’re probably wondering what is going on..” the other smiled nervously. They wore an odd coat and with an official-looking badge.
“Yes.. That is why I asked..” he looked around the room, various blueprints and seemingly internal scans were placed upon the walls. From what it looked like, some were scans of his own internal structure, but with something else in the center of it.
“Oh well,” the one in the coat looked over at the one in technician uniform before turning to the bear. “You’ve been selected to be a part of our newest experiment!”
“What do you mean, I thought we already did the experiment..”
“Oh! Oh no no, that was just the start of the experiment! You see, we have this tech in mind for, you know, poor poor people who want children but for whatever reason, albeit their own organs do not work or were not given the correct ones at birth so they can finally fulfill their dreams!”
He blinked, not following any of what they were stating. “What does that have to do with me?”
“We had to test it, silly!”
“H-hey wait hold on! I never agreed to this!” the bear shook his head, the steady thump of his artificial heart picking up.
“Hey just hear us out!” they pulled out a set of blueprints. “You are the first case of successful artificial reproduction! No one has ever done this before! And if we, you, can actually manage to keep the thing alive that would mean so much for the future of robotics! Don’t you want to help people? With this new technology, there can be so much good for the world!”
He opened his mouth to speak only to close it back again. Something about this felt wrong, but the way they put it, it almost felt like a noble thing to do…
“What am I supposed to do then?” the bear’s voice was lowered, afraid to speak.
“Truthfully? Practically nothing. Though probably be best to stay away from dangerous activities and other things that might end up harming the specimen,”
Something seemed to go off all at once. The opportunity to not only provide something this important but bring something into reality? It seemed just like a step up from what the bear normally did. Was this what he was made for?
“Okay, I’ll do it..” Freddy released the breath he was holding.
“Wonderful! Now, we can give you a list of things to make sure of as soon as possible! This won’t get in the way of your normal work, just check ups every now and then to see if the part is working as intended!”
With an exhausted sigh, the bear stood.
“Oh, and one more thing,” the one in the coat called out. “Please, this is a top-secret project! Don’t tell anyone who isn’t already informed!”
The ursine bot nodded, and with this new information, wandered out of the room now with no idea how to process.
—
The door clicked behind the robot, leaving the two staff alone.
“He really didn’t have a choice, did he?”
“Not at all,”

Finding his way back to the main building took a little bit of navigating. Freddy kept going in circles down here and more than anything there wasn’t a map. But he would be damned if he went back to those weird people to ask for help. Against their wishes, he decided to at least tell Roxy and Monty, they did deserve to know and frankly, the bear could use some support before he would cave in on himself.
They never really addressed it did they? The constant doubts and panic attacks shouldn’t be good for him but it didn’t seem important enough for the technicians to go rooting around in his mind to find the issue. If he didn’t have anyone to talk to and help he was positive he would just die on the spot.
Then again it wasn’t like the others had their own issues, Monty had an irritation problem, Chica seemed to have difficulty focusing on basic tasks and Freddy remembered hearing Roxy crying through the walls. Since when was this supposed to be right for seemingly perfect robotic creatures? Was that a part of making them more alive?
The sight of an elevator snapped the bear out of his deep thoughts, jogging to the button on the side and stepping in. It must not have been used often, given its dusty state and wobbly activation but it still seemed to carry him up. When the doors opened he was greeted with the bright neon lights upstairs, a breath of relief now calming his nerves.
It took him a moment, but Freddy successfully found the two he was looking for backstage, seemingly getting ready for a rehearsal.
“There you are, where’ve you been?” Monty looked up from his instrument.
“That’s ah… actually what I wanted to talk to you about…” he shifted in his spot as he watched the two get up and walk closer.
“What is it? You look awful,” Roxanne eyed the other up and down like she was trying to see through him.
“Okay.. so I went down to parts and service earlier right? It was just supposed to be a tune-up nothing serious but then they shut me down and took me into this other room and then they told me that I was a part of this really important experiment and that I’m supposed to test out a new part and then it’s supposed to help people-” the words seemed to rush out like a cascade of water, the longer that he did so the more confused and then irritated the other two bots looked.
“God damn it, Freddy…” the wolf pinched the bridge of her nose, shaking her head.
“H-hey I didn’t-” he took a step back, an immediate sinking feeling spreading through his core.
“You know how hard it is to deal with you literally all the time?” from behind star shades, Monty’s eyes shimmered as the gator stepped forward, shoving a finger into the bear’s chest. “Constant reassurance, just all the fuckin’ time . It’s exhausting, having to take care of our fuckin’ star because he can’t handle himself!”
“W-wait guys please!” the faces he had come to trust were now closing in with razor-sharp teeth bared with intent.
“I always knew I would make a better leader, I can manage a little tough time without falling apart,”
“You’re pathetic, everyone knows it and everyone thinks so,”
Knees buckling, the bear froze in fear, no longer able to run or fight or anything to protect himself or even the little life he was given to protect. This was all a horrible idea to begin with.
As once caring hands grabbed and tugged, he closed his eyes. Sharp teeth dug into his neck and he opened his mouth to scream.
—
Freddy’s eyes shot open. It was pitch black, but with the help of the LEDs in them, turned on beams of light that ran over the couch he had in his bedroom.
He was in bed. It was just a nightmare.
There was a small beeping in the back of his head, a warning system in place that indicated a sharply rising chemical imbalance, or something along the lines of it. Lying on his back, the bear held his hands above his face, not surprised to see them quaking like they were.
Taking in deep constant breaths like he remembered being told, the bear felt the quickened thump in his ears go down.
“This is such a bad idea…” Whoever thought that he was a good candidate for this experiment was insane. Literally anyone else could have been better than he was.
Pressing his palms into his face, he felt the steady streams of tears soaking his fur. He must have been crying in his sleep too. Given the content, he wasn’t surprised about that either.
As he started to calm more, a gentle knock at the door made him jump.
“Hello..? Are you okay?” The door opened, revealing the stark white feathered bird. She held her pillow in one hand, concern written all over her face.
Rubbing his eyes he offered a small smile. “Oh nothing too difficult, just woke up suddenly is all-”
Chica stepped into the room and walked over to sit on the edge of the bed. “Freddy, I heard you scream. Did you have another nightmare?”
His smile fell as they grew silent. With some uncertainty, he nodded.
“Oh, come here you teddy bear,” the avian bot scooted closer, wrapping her feathered arms around the other as she closed the hug. The bear was happy to return it.
“I am not a child, you know…” he let out a loose chuckle, resting his chin on her shoulder letting his face be tickled by frizzly feathers.
“Nonsense, you still need comfort. Comfort isn’t reserved for children,” she pulled back enough to meet indigo eyes into crystal blue ones. “Was it about Bonnie again?”
The bear shook his head. “No, not this time,” he paused, wondering if it was safe to talk to her about it. They had been friends longer than the others, he put all of his trust into her. “It’s about something else important though…”
“Did something happen?” she tilted her head slightly.
“Y-yeah so… I was told yesterday that all of the stuff that had been going on with the upgrades was a much larger experiment… I guess they chose me to be a part of it so I’m kinda testing some of their technology to see if I can…” he paused in search of better words. “Incubate? Incubate artificial life..”
Chica seemed to take a moment to piece the words together. “OH! A baby??” she gasped sharply.
“Shh-”
“Right right,” she cleared her throat to speak at a much lower volume. “You mean like a baby, right?”
“I assumed… I’m honestly not sure they’re not really telling me everything,”
“Aw and you must be so worried about it!” The bird pulled the bear in for another hug, and it wasn’t like he didn’t need it. There was a comforting presence with the other, somehow always helped in a time of need. “We should tell the others!”
“No!” The bear shuddered, shaking his head. “I-I mean… the technicians said I’m not supposed to tell anyone… I’m not sure if I already broke that rule by telling you…”
“Ohh I see,” she nodded. “Hey, can I see? The parts they gave you I mean,” she scooted back, enthusiasm apparent with her movements.
“Oh sure, I hold on,” Freddy scooted back, making room for the swinging maintenance hatch as he opened it, letting the bird look inside.
She made a couple of various noises of curiosity, ducking under the hatch to where he couldn’t see her. Careful fingers grazed over parts, making the bear tense at the feeling.
“Okay I see what you’re talking about, it must be this thing here,” she shifted her weight. “That’s interesting, I don’t have this part,”
“Wouldn’t they give you one as well…?” Freddy leaned more against the wall as the avian continued to search, letting out a small hiss as she brushed up against some more sensitive wiring.
“I guess not,” Chica shrugged, moving a hand out, she bumped into a neat bundle of cords resulting in a sharp intake of air from the other. “Oh, did that hurt? I’m sorry!”
“N-no it didn’t… hurt…” he paused. Did he seriously have nerves on the inside for that?
Chica seemed intrigued, going to run a feather over a wire bunch, watching as it caused the bear to exhale shakily.
“That’s new….” A small smile spread over the bird’s face, excitement bubbling in her eyes. “What do you say, wanna play around a bit?”

Having your inner wires played with was an odd feeling. Somewhat in between a massage and touching a live nerve but still it seemed to send currents to some pleasure part of Freddy’s artificial brain. With a shaky breath, he sank further into the pillows as nimble fingers explored every neatly bundled wire that was accessible.
“Do you know what you’re doing…?” the bear tried leaning over to peer over his open hatch, only able to spy a few white feathers.
“Not really, no,” Chica’s voice was muffled by all the fur covering the metallic frame. “I figured I try them all out to see what happens,” With the statement, she rolled one of the wires in her fingertips, wiggling it from its base earning a sharp inhale. “How was that?”
“I-interesting…” he tried to find the words to describe it. “Like… a shock..? Feels intense..”
With a short hum, the avian bot dug her hands deeper in the wires, being sure to avoid the more important parts.
“You know, you have a lot of room in here for having all the parts like we do,” she stated as a matter of fact. “They just gave you massive titties didn’t they?”
Freddy sputtered, jolting suddenly. “I do not! - They did not!”
The laughter rang through the metal. “I’m joking, you really need to relax!” She took a few wires and rolled them together, almost immediately causing the other to go back to the spot he was in before with a hesitant groan.
From the open cavity, she could hear the constant thump of the bear’s heart and the quickened breathing from the only really necessary implants that they were given. It felt personal. Reaching around to a lower set of wires, she tugged lightly, gaining a jolt and a muffled gasp.
“You doing alright hun?” Chica asked, pausing her motions.
“Y-yeah… nn… keep going please…” The bear sank further into the bedding, fingers twitching as he moved an arm to cover his mouth.
Being careful to not jostle the wires lose, the bird twisted the special wires in her fingers, running a sharp claw along the edge. She smiled warmly as the steady rhythm of all of Freddy’s functions sped up in order to try and cool the overheating system. It was cute.
Trying to figure out just how the things worked, she ran her tongue over the surface and blew, quite satisfied with the sharp cry that resulted.
“Where- h-how did you learn how to do that??” Freddy’s knees shook slightly, still trying to recuperate.
“Roxy taught me,” she stated, nonchalantly. “I think she learned from the internet, but I don’t really like that stuff,”
“M-me neither,” he let out a short laugh.
With the wires she had intentions within hand, she starts curling them around her fingers while rubbing them to get some friction. It felt different than a normal build up, like electric sparks buzzing and pulsing growing hotter until-
The lights suddenly turned on, shocking the two in bed and causing Freddy to try and slam his panel shut, hitting Chica’s head as she ducked out of the way with a hollow thud. The two scrambled away from each other as the door opened, the blond woman looking into the room.
“Chica... What are you doing in here?” Vanessa put a hand on her hip, obviously suspicious. “Do you have any idea what time it is?”
“Freddy had another nightmare, I was in here keeping him company,” at least that part was true. The words seemed to soften the woman’s angry face a tad. She sighed softly.
“I’ll have to have you get checked out before it becomes too much of an issue,” she motions to the bear who stood awkwardly to follow.
Looking behind anxiously, he saw Chica give a thumbs up before he left the room.
“I see, that’s your problem,” Vanessa stated, looking down at the control screen. “Your chemical levels are all out of whack,” Freddy sat motionless on the repair chair, keeping still as the port pulled his status for the other to see.
She stood from the chair and strode to the counter. Pulling out a drawer, she grabbed a vial of a clear liquid along with a wrapped syringe and needle before entering the cylinder
“Hold still a moment,” she opened a panel on the back of the bear’s neck, taking a dose of the vial into the needle and injecting it into his port.
It stung a little, but the effects took almost immediately as whatever feeling of buzzing bees in his chest dissipated.
“Is that better?”
Freddy nodded, sinking further into his chair. It wasn’t often that he was given the medication, only when the chemical balance was getting too great or if he was having another one of his “episodes”. Thankfully he only had three of them, but it was enough to have something handy to calm the bear down.
“Thank you, Officer Vanessa,” the bear stood, somewhat wobbly but regained footing quickly.
“It’s my job,” she put down the syringe, the glass making a small clink against the metal table. “I’m also supposed to keep an eye on you for… the other reason,” she gestured vaguely, obvious that the human woman was uncomfortable with discussing the current situation.
“Ah... I am assuming that they have informed you?” The ursine bot shifted his weight.
“They should, given that I’m supposed to keep you four in shape,” she sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “I swear they just go and do these things without letting me know or even asking if it’s a good idea…”
“It is not… right?”
“Personally, I don’t think it is, no,” she leaned against the counter. “But since there’s really nothing we can do, and if anything happens to you or the experiment I might get my ass fired, we might as well wait it out,”
“How long will that be?”
She opened her mouth to speak, but then closed it. “I don’t know... Hold on,”
Vanessa went to the monitor again, this time pulling out the bear’s file and searching through it.
“Damn it- the separate files are locked down! How in the hell am I supposed to keep you in check when they sealed the information off??” she groaned, turning off the monitor. “Sorry, my guess is that it can be anywhere between a few weeks to maybe a year,”
Freddy stumbled. “A year??”
“As I said, it’s just a guess” she patted his chest affectionately. “Just get some rest, don’t want you tired for tomorrow,”
“Right… thank you, Officer Vanessa,”
“For the love of God, just call me Vanessa,”
—
For the most part, things went along as normal. Other than the constant feeling of something being amiss, nothing changed for a while. Keeping track of time seemed to get harder, but soon enough the odd scientists down below asked to check up on the… experiment.
“Do you need to restrain me for this…?” Freddy asked, his hand being strapped down to the table by a person in a lab coat.
“Apologies, but there might be some uncomfortable feelings when we look around and we don’t want an accident,” the other scientist stated, looking over a clipboard before walking over. With a swift motion, the maintenance hatch was opened obstructing the bot’s view. “Oh yes, I see everything is still in place,” a cold hand fiddled with the wires around, tugging them out of the way.
Truth be told, it was uncomfortable. Nothing like when he was with Chica. It was an odd discovery, something he had to note for later but he was soon dragged back to reality with a sharp tug causing him to hiss in pain.
“Apologies, but this will only take a moment,” another set of hands joined with a tool, clicking a few things before a panel was removed and placed on the nearby table. “There we are,”
They touched something that gave way slightly, like a soft pillow but it felt inapposite like it should not be touched. The bear twitched, the restraints tugging and digging into his wrists. Something pinched the soft material, making him suck in a deep breath through clenched teeth.
A filled needle was placed on the table, explaining the pinching feeling but still, they didn’t seem inclined to talk about what they were doing
“Will you please explain what is going on?” Freddy tried looking around the open hatch, only able to see the doctor’s coat.
“Hm? Oh, well right now we’re merely making sure everything is still in working order,” they made a gesture with their hand, it was stained a deep blue like the vial’s contents. “Making sure nothing is leaking or broken or dying, the usual,”
He shivered as the hands dug deeper into his parts, seemingly careful but uncaring. “I would feel better if I was given more information…”
“You don’t need more information, you’re just a walking incubator after all,” the smaller panel was replaced, then the larger hatch closed with the humans’ faces back into view. “We’ll let you know if you need anything else,” they patted his knee as the other removed his restraints.
“Off you go then!” The two were back to the clipboards, picking up the vial of the ursine bot’s blood back to the table. “Oh by the way! You might want to cut back on the Alprazolam, don’t want to accidentally kill them!”
—
The words rang in his head for longer than they should have. They seemed to grip onto the bear’s mind like a flea, feasting off of his own insecurities and thoughts. The longer that he sat there the further he believed that all this must have been a mistake.
The sound of fingers snapping seemed to bring him back to earth.
“Hey, Fredbear,” the gruff voice was right behind him.
“Hm…?” Freddy looked behind him to see the large reptilian bot eyeing the other with an odd look on his face.
“You’ve been starin’ at that sign for the past five minutes,” he pointed at one of the small wet floor sign bots sitting in front of the freshly mopped floor. “What’s on your mind?”
“O-oh you know, just normal things.. The show, rehearsals, parties, the usual!” he waved his hand in an awkward attempt to seem natural. “You know how it goes, I’m not stressed out or anything! Just normal thinking!”
Monty raised an eyebrow before sitting down on the bench next to Freddy. “Your left ear twitched,”
“What does that have to do with anything-”
“It twitches when you lie, jackass,”
The bear grew silent, looking down to stare at his hands.
“Listen, if you don’t want to talk about it I’m not goin’ to force you, but seriously you’re scarin’ everyone,”
“Oh come on no one else is-” he turned to see that indeed Roxanne and Chica were a few feet away, seemingly watching Monty talk. “Ah..”
“So, what’s on your mind?” The gator leaned back, folding his leg over his other knee.
The bear paused, unsure if he needed to discuss this or not. It was obvious that he was already messing with everyone else and it really wasn’t fair that he was basically dragging them with him. That and now he was unable to take the drug that calmed him left the bear without a safety net next time something mildly bad happened and messed up his entire mental state. But it didn’t seem to be that that bothered him most. It’s the fact that something normal like just taking something for anxiety could kill the tiny life before it could even live. And that fact shook him to the very core way more than it should.
His hand twitched, feeling the need to move but stayed put.
“I-” Freddy swallowed. “I was told recently that I am not allowed to take the medication for my… mental issues for the foreseeable future,”
“What? Why?” Monty sat up, his brows furrowed in anger.
“I-I don’t know… They don’t tell me anything and I-”
“This is just bullshit!” he let out a deep growl, gripping onto the wooden seat of the bench. “I outta go down there and just-” he raised his hands, making a claw like he was trying to choke an invisible person in front of them.
“Monty please-” for some reason, now unlike any other time, the motion seemed to startle the bear more than he was comfortable with.
“I swear to hell that they treat us like dumb robots, like property . I outta teach them a lesson or two and make sure that they give you those damn drugs…” he stood suddenly, the talk seeming more like action as his long tail thrashed in anger.
“Please sit back down! I don’t want you to do anything rash!” Freddy stood too, mostly to try and calm the other but with the tremble in his legs, it seemed he wouldn’t be much help at all.
Thankfully, the other two seemed to notice the commotion and come over, Roxanne going to place her hands firmly on the gator’s chest.
“Monty, don’t have another episode,” she stated firmly, making the other look her in the eyes.
“I have had it, Roxy !” he snarled, chest heaving with every breath. “I need to do somethin’ about this!”
“Remember what Ness said, deep breaths,” she grabbed his shoulders, pushing the angry gator to the golf course as she looked behind, apprehension chiseled in her features before turning back to the ranting male.
Chica stayed behind, grabbing the bear’s hands and easing him into the bench again.
“Hey, you’re okay,” she stated, moving a hand to wipe off the tears that he didn’t even notice falling.
“I-I don’t know what happened-” the bear winced at the crack in his voice. “I’m not normally that… emotional…”
“I think that’s normal,” the bird offered a small smile. “Don’t worry too much about it, you do enough of that already,” with her hands, she grabbed the bear’s fluffy cheeks and smooshed his face, laughing softly. “You poor chumby teddy bear,”
Freddy couldn’t help but smile, the absolute joy plastered on his friend’s face when she played with his fur always cheered him up at least enough.
“How about we go hang out at the theater? It’s quiet and the seats are soft,” she offered, her smile widening.
“Okay… that sounds nice…”
“Wonderful!” she gently pecked the bear’s nose, her way of planting a small kiss, and stood, grabbing Freddy’s hand and leading him across the building.

Chapter Text
The sound of a crashing window echoed through the golf course, glass raining down onto the path as cleaning bots rushed with brooms to clean the mess. Placing another bright green ball on the tee, Montgomery shifted his stance and swung the club with way too much force needed for mini golf, sending another ball cascading through another window.
“I would tell you to stop, but looks like you got your energy pathed through something not as bad as murder,” Roxanne stood to the side away from the path of the round projectiles, watching as the bucket of balls emptied itself.
“It’s not fuckin’ fair…” it became a system, grab the ball, set it down, pull back and swing. Rinse and repeat. “You’d think that with how important they treat us they’d probably give us some respect right?”
“Yeah but still, they treat us like some sort of expensive property,” the wolf shrugs, leaning on her own club that she didn’t intend on using. “Like cars, or exotic pets,”
“Or zoo animals…”
“Hm…”
The pattern stopped as the gator put down his club.
“You think they did it on purpose?”
Roxy looked up from her nails. “Did what?”
“Made us this… broken…” the club fell to the ground as Monty held up his hands. They trembled ever so slightly from the after-effects of his rage. “I’m pretty sure we weren’t like this before, and they know that we have these issues that’s why they gave Fred that medication and shit even before they took it away for whatever bullshit reason,”
“I’m sure that they have their reasons,” the canine bot shrugged, leaning against the railing. “I looked it up, that shit’s pretty potent,”
“I don’t think that they’d be givin’ it to him if he didn’t need it, you know how fucked he gets,”
Roxanne exhaled, running the memory back. “Yeah, you’re right about that… though to be fair you didn’t really help earlier, kinda ironic wouldn’t you say?”
Monty’s eyebrow twitched before sinking to the ground. “Fuck… you’re right. God damn it we’re supposed to help him…”
“You wouldn’t have been able to help in your current mood,” the female took a seat next to the other, patting his back affectionately. “Besides, I’m pretty sure Chica’s got it handled at least for now,” she stared off to where the cleaning bots were, scrambling to clean up the broken glass. “You wanna protect him?”
“W-well sure!” the gator stammered, trying to regain his footing. “I mean come on if he doesn’t have any mental stability we might as well make sure he’s got a level head!”
“Sounds like you just want to get him to like you more,” Roxanne snorted, lightly punching the larger animal’s shoulder. “You know he already likes you, right?”
“It’s not a sexual thing. I mean it’s a little bit of a sexual thing but I just wanna be able to calm him down, like Chica does! You see how fast she works. I want the big guy to feel safe around me, just like…” he waved his hands, trying to insinuate what his meaning was. “You know?”
“I don’t really think I do, but if you’re just trying to be all romantic just say that,”
“God damn it, Roxy, Freddy’s just… so damn soft… like if you were to accidentally touch him wrong he’d fall apart,”
“He’ll be fine,” the wolf stood, brushing her shirt down so that it lay flat. “It just takes time is all,”
“Right,” the other stood as well, stretching his arms. “I should just wind down in my room before I cause any more damage,” Monty waved halfheartedly before turning to leave, dragging his tail behind him.
—
The daycare theater didn’t have anyone in it, other than a few other staff bots cleaning the area. The bean bag chairs were comfortable, and the screen played old cartoons. The dark quiet atmosphere provided just enough energy that it seemed to calm the anxious bear down.
“Open,” Chica held out a sour gummy worm from the box in her lap.
“Chica I do not need you to baby me…” Freddy chuckled softly.
“Hush, it’s for your mental health now take the gummy worm!” she practically shoved it into the bear’s mouth who idly chewed. It was soft and coated with a sour powder that made his facial muscles twinge.
“Remind me again why you feeding me candy is supposed to be for my mental health?”
“Sour! I read somewhere that if you’re having brain problems, eating sour things helps that!” her face lit up, the feathers poofing up some. “So there, that’s why!”
Her genuine want to help seemed to calm Freddy further, causing him to let out a deep sigh and relax his shoulders.
“Thank you, again for your help,” the bear folded his hands over his lap. The thought returned once again. “May I ask you something?”
The chicken looked up from her box of popcorn, chewing for a moment before swallowing. “What’s up?”
“Am I… too much..?” his ears folded back anxiously, twiddling his thumbs. “Like, am I difficult to handle?”
“I don’t think so, it’s just something normal now,” Chica shrugged. “Just makes you feel more… real? I guess that’s what they’re going at,”
“I just wish they didn’t…” he looked back up at the screen where the cartoon coyote was building an explosive. “I just wish I could be the one helping you guys instead of the other way around,”
The door to the theater opened, cracking light into the darkened space before shutting once more, the canine bot entering the theater and sauntering over to the others.
"Where is Monty?" The bear's brows furrowed in confusion.
"Back in his room, said that he wanted to cool down before coming back out," Roxanne took a seat next to the avian bot, stealing a handful of popcorn. "Dude's stressed out, anyone would be,"
Stressed out huh…?
—
The door of the gator's room opened, the orange bear behind it peering inside.
"Hello Monty, may I come in?" Freddy stood on the line, not daring to intrude unless the others say so.
"Sure, just don't trip or anythin'," the gator sat on his chair, idly scratching channels into the wood of his dresser with his claws.
Monty's room was often messy due to the bot's uncaring of its state. It got cleaned on a weekly basis but was soon dirtied up to make him feel more comfortable.
"I understand that you're in an unpleasant mood still, yes?" The bear shifted his weight, eyeing a random paper cup by his foot.
"Yeah, that's about it,"
"I-I wish to help-" he stated straightening his back to emphasize his point.
"And how do you expect to do that?" he pulled back from his dresser, tilting his head to peer at the other over the rims of his sunglasses.
Without another word, he took a step forward and got on his knees. Without much experience, that being none the act of doing so seemed to spark the gator’s interest, watching as the bear placed his chin on the other’s lap.
“I um… may I help with that?” The still nervous but dead set look was something that wasn’t shown often.
Monty was near speechless, having to close his own gaping maw before shaking his head. “Wait wait, is this what I think it is?”
“Roxanne suggested it-”
“Then it is, damn,” he couldn’t help but chuckle with the thought, feeling heat start to pool. “Hey I mean, if you’re offerin’,”
With a shift, the gator pulled down his current pants just enough to open the modesty hatch with a soft click, springing the now hardened length out.
Once again, the ursine bot felt inclined to stare. The attachment was rather different, a muted warm green that trailed to white to the tip. It was fascinating. Before he could get distracted, the bear snapped out of the trance-like state and just dove right in. Much to the gator’s surprise, bear tongues were long as hell as the other was able to lick the entire length of the tool and wrap around it like an odd popsicle. Pulling his tongue back, he opened his mouth to take the length and almost immediately applied suction.
“Holy shit-” Monty gasped, mostly out of how well this seemed to be going despite how clean-cut the bear normally was.
Sinking further into the chair, he reached a hand out to rub one of the fuzzy round ears, once again shocked with the sudden deep rumble in the other bot’s throat. It sounded similar to a kitten’s purr, only much deeper and heavier, sending vibrations through his mouth.
The reaction was very nice. Freddy had to admit he was unsure of the plan when Roxy had given it to him but it was a lot easier than he expected. Granted he did look at a random internet link for any tips before coming here but it only brought him to a video of a kind woman demonstrating the type of thing. Too bad they didn’t carry grapefruit at any of the restaurants or he probably would have tried it.
The bear pulled back somewhat, running his tongue underneath to the tip before pulling forward and taking the tool back in his mouth, being heavily mindful of his sharp incisors. It was a different experience altogether, it didn’t taste bad as he originally suspected but instead had a mute sour and somewhat salty taste, like lime or lemon. Possibly both. It made it easier to take it down, brushing his nose against the other’s pelvis.
Another hand was placed on his head, digging sharp nails into the fur to scratch at the bear’s scalp. The motion caused him to look up, to see the absolute insane look that Monty was giving as he stared at the other like a hungry predator. Freddy almost immediately looked back down and tried to focus on his task, now with the uncomfortable heat spreading from his ears and cheeks downwards. That’s new.
The grip on his head tightened, grabbing almost roughly and pulling the bear back before yanking him back to meet with a thrust of his hips.
“That’s it just… keep that up-” Monty let loose a snarl, breath quickened as he kept up the pace.
It wasn’t until he stopped that it caused some confusion, but it didn’t stay that way for long as the gator stood suddenly and grabbed the wall with one hand keeping the other fixed on the bear’s scalp. Now instead of having to move, he was held still while Monty more or less just used the other as a toy.
The sound of splintering wood was only covered up by the gator’s deep snarls, seeming to prelude a sharp thrust and then finally a warm liquid flowing down the bear’s throat.
It took a minute before Monty let go, stepping back and letting his now softened dick slip out. The bear then was able to gasp for air he didn’t know he needed.
“Shit was that too much? You could have said-” he paused, realizing his stupid statement. “I guess you couldn’t then huh..? Are you okay?”
Freddy awkwardly stood, knees shaking as he tried to swallow the rest of the load. “Y-yes I am fine, I’m just happy to be of service,” If there was any doubt that the statement was true, the bear’s small tail wagged ecstatically behind him.
“I gotta be honest with ya, didn’t think you’d ever be comfortable with doing that, ” the gator cleared his throat, replacing his pelvis cover. “I don’t suppose this’ll be the last…?”
“Well that depends, do you feel better?” Freddy fiddled with his claws. “I mean, stress relief can’t only be for me you know,”
Monty let out a loose chuckle. “Then yeah, I do feel better,” He stepped closer, practically scooping up the bear and bringing him to his overly messy bed where he lay down and buried his face in the bear’s warm fur.
Freddy had to admit, the gator was pretty cute when he was tired. It added some more of that feel-good that he was able to bring the other into that state after previously being overly angry.
The situation was soft and safe, almost domestic even.
“Hey, Monty?”
“Mmh?” the reptilian bot seemed to be only half-listening, opening a single crimson eye to look back up.
The look seemed to destroy all previous confidence as the bear stammered over his words. “I-I ah… just wanted to say that I appreciate you and if you ever need anything else to let me know-”
“Mmkay…” Monty returned to his comfortable position, seemingly passing out right on the spot.
The bear sighed. Maybe next time.

Freddy felt off. But at the same time, as if nothing has changed. It was like looking at one of those spot-the-difference books, knowing there is something different but being unable to pinpoint it. Still, routine stayed the same as always, nothing impeded any of the bear’s usual functions or responsibilities. Looks like the technicians at least knew somewhat of what they were doing.
The end of days was always pretty calm, it was after everyone had left leaving the building only with the staff and them. It was always nice to walk around while things were closed and see the soft glow of the night lighting. It was almost therapeutic.
Making his round back, he passed Roxanne’s room. Before he could move on, Freddy heard a very faint noise. It sounded like a sniffle, though it was too hushed to make out. He paused, staring at the door silently. Was he about to eavesdrop on his friend while she was alone just to see if everything was okay?
Of course he was.
As silently as he could, Freddy stepped forward and pressed his ear against the barrier. Concentrating, he was able to pick up more noises. It sounded like soft sobs, most likely the ones that were held back to prevent making too much noise. She was upset again.
The bear knit his eyebrows together, trying to figure out what to do. Lifting a hand, he tapped on the door a couple of times.
“Roxanne? Are you alright?” The noises went silent.
“Y-yeah! Just fine!” the wolf’s voice cracked, causing her to clear her throat.
It’s the same thing she said every time. Normally, he would leave her be in order to sort through it herself, but now he didn’t want to. Pressing the button, the door opened with a low thunk, causing the wolf to jump in her seat.
“I said I was fine! Get out of my room!” her fur fluffed up slightly, showing off her anger for the intrusion.
Ignoring her request, the bear merely trudged forward and scooped up the smaller female before taking her to the bed and sitting down and pulling her into his lap.
“I know you wish not to discuss it, but please at least let me help to comfort you,” wrapping his arms around the wolf, Freddy pressed her in for a warm hug.
She seemed too stunned to speak for a moment, angrily rubbing at her eyes and the tears that threatened to start up again. “D-damn you, Freddy-”
The dam broke, sending Roxy into burying her face into the warm orange fur as she let out her emotions. Freddy didn’t say much other than comforting words, rubbing her back and ears. It seemed there was a lot Roxy had held up and been able to release it hopefully would help the situation. It wasn’t normal that Freddy was on this side of the issue, at least recently but at least now he felt an itching sensation to see her better.
By the time she slowed down, it had been a good half hour. Pulling her face back up revealed her makeup had all run and her entire face was damp with tears. A very Roxy-shaped dent was left in Freddy’s fur, it took a lot of willpower to not laugh.
“Do you feel better?” he asked, brushing the hair out of the wolf’s face.
She nodded, rubbing her eyes from the emotions. “Thanks… I didn’t realize how much I needed that…”
“Well, everyone does need support sometimes, it was about time I gave some to you,” the bear offered a smile, Roxy reflecting it back.
“It was something stupid too-” she stated, shifting into a more comfortable position. “I guess too much stuff got piled up on each other,”
“Would you like to talk about it?”
She shrugged. “It was just about some kid being butthurt that he lost a race and told me that he hated me, I didn’t think that it would affect me this much,” Roxy sighs, rubbing her cheeks a little more. “You know, it’s odd, you weren’t that… stubborn before,”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean most of the time you leave me alone even after I tell you to leave, what was different about this time?”
“W-well… I knew you were in pain and I just… felt like you needed me…” Freddy scratches at his ear, still unsure about it himself.
“You know what, you remind me of those moms, the ones who dote on their kids all the time!” she sits up a little, chuckling to herself.
“Wait… you think so…?”
“Yeah, remember that one time that the kid tripped over nothing, and the mom just scooped him up and gave him kisses even though you could tell he didn’t like it? That was absolutely incredible,” she snorts, a few hiccups shaking her chest. “Might as well just call you Mama Bear at that point,”
Freddy couldn’t help the flush in his ears, flustered, he went to scratch them.
“W-well I mean… if you like the name I’m- I’m unsure of what I think of it anyway,” the bear sputtered, nearly squirming from embarrassment.
Roxanne let out a laugh. “Oh my god you’re such a himbo!!” she landed a playful punch to the bear’s shoulder.
“What? What’s a himbo??” More lingo she probably picked up from the kids, and the word sounded familiar too… Wait, did someone already call him that before??
“Let’s see, there are three requirements,” Roxanne lied back down on her seven-foot-two pillow. “First off, you need to be big,” she eyed him down slowly. “I think we got that checked off,”
Freddy shifted. He knew how large he was, it made it to where he had to basically train himself to be extra conscious with himself as to not hurt anyone or break anything.
“Second, you have to be kind,” she grinned. “I think we got that taken care of. The last is ah… you have to be… What’s a word for this? Clueless,”
He blinked, not understanding and at the very same time proving her point.
“Don’t worry, Teddy, it’s a compliment!” she ruffled the tuft of fur on the bear’s head, laughing it off. “My point is that you’re very sweet, don’t worry about things too much,” leaning up, she placed a small kiss on top of the bear’s nose, making a soft squeak sound.
“I don’t think I’ll ever understand your slang…”
“Exactly what makes you a himbo, Fred,” she sits up, rolling off of the other. “If you don’t mind, I’m gonna wash this makeup off. Thanks again for everything,”
“No problem, Roxanne,” sliding off of the bed, the bear stands and stretches his limbs. “I will talk to you later,”
With a silent chuckle, the wolf vanished out the back door.
The short walk back to his room was plagued with thoughts. Was he really acting like a doting mother like she said? Is it that obvious? At this point, it was hard to tell if his actions were changing or not and if so was it caused by the experiment? The thoughts continued even after getting back to his room, the bear now pacing back and forth as he tried to pinpoint any other changes that might have occurred.
The door opened with a large thunk, startling the bear out of thought.
“Freddy, I found the files!” Vanessa held her tablet up with an uncharacteristic smile on her face. “I looked through it and I want to check some things over with you, sit down,”
Before he could ask what for, he found himself seated at his chair. With a smooth motion, his maintenance hatch was opened and hands started rummaging around.
“Found it-” there was a small click, the same panel that the technicians had removed was now placed aside. “Oh wow..”
“What? What is it?” The panic of not being able to see anything started bubbling up the bear’s throat.
“Calm down, it’s just…” she paused, sitting back up. “Here,”
Grabbing the back of his chair, Vanessa spun it around so that he was facing the lit-up mirror that sat on his desk. It was frankly odd to see all of your insides while they were working but he was at least familiar with most.
Most but the somewhat smaller part that sat in his lower abdomen. It was about the same size as his fist, made of a rubbery material and almost translucent in nature. With a somewhat shaky hand, he poked the organ. It felt like a thick water balloon.
“So wait, is that the…”
“If the blueprints are correct, yes,” she pulled up her tablet once more, able to go through the digital photographs and instructions for the new part. “It’s pretty advanced, given that it takes a lot in order for it to work, if it’s actually going to work,” The blonde pulled up a photograph. “This was taken last week at your last ‘check up’,”
The photo was hard to recognize, but it was the same blue-tinted rubber just zoomed in really far. Past the almost foggy look were a few dark dots. If he squinted, they looked almost like beans.
“What are those?” he asked, pointing to the small dots.
“Oh, those? I mean I assume they have to be the embryos by the look of things, I’m not a doctor or anything, so. Don’t know how many are going to actually grow at all, but by the looks of things there’s at least three,”
“They are so small…” The idea of having to protect something that small lead the bear into a tizzy of thoughts.
For one, it seemed almost impossible to achieve, but at the same time, he felt like it was the most important thing to do then. That and it wasn’t just one like he had expected though in hindsight if they wanted to make sure everything worked having multiple would yield the most results.
“You okay there, big guy?” Vanessa craned her neck to look at the bear closer, a somewhat perturbed look on her face.
“May I look at the photo some more?”
“Eh… sure..?” she handed the other her tablet, confusion going through her as she watched just how fascinated the bear looked. “Listen it’s probably nothing that important anyway, it’s just a couple of dots,”
It took a minute, but he was able to tear away. “You’re right, you’re right,” Handing the tablet back, Freddy awkwardly scratched at his neck. “Apologies, I just… felt odd,”
“No worries, I’m sure they added all sorts of random junk to you,” Ness put her tablet up. “Anyway, I can share the files with you, that way you have all the information needed and don’t have to be just sitting in the dark,”
“Thank you, Vanessa,” the bear shut the maintenance hatch, getting up and without a warning of any kind, wrapping the handler in a hug.
The woman froze in pure shock, moving a hand to pat the other’s shoulder after a few seconds. “Alright alright, extra affectionate now aren’t we?”
“Is that a problem?” he released his hold, letting the smaller human go.
“Nah, it’s just something to take note of,” she fixed her hat, turning to the door. “Just let me know if there’s anything else you need,”
“Right, thank you,” sitting back down, the bear let out a deep sigh.
So much for simply ignoring it.

Chapter Text
Freddy was almost too nervous to look at the files that were given to him, but with enough time curiosity overcame his fear and he opened the rather large set of documents. It had plenty of words he didn’t quite understand as well as the basic blueprints. Apparently, they had picked him for the sole reason he had the spatial capacity to house such a test. The bear scowled slightly at the information.
At least with all of the documents available for him, he got the timeframe of around 130 days from start to finish. Without the definite starting point, it was difficult to really pinpoint what exact point he was at. The check-in files didn’t state at what time they were taken, and if they did it was somewhere he couldn’t see.
Flipping through one more time, he came across the images of the embryos themselves once more. In the most recent photograph, they were larger, more bean-shaped than before. You could tell a lot of the limbs apart, the little faces and if you squinted, you could see the little dots that looked like round ears.
He knew he really shouldn’t be getting too attached, but damn if it wasn’t hard to. At least he had a reason, the additions working to askew the mental chemicals to make all this possible. At least from what the automaton read, the main chemical was responsible for bonding and it did not help the situation.
Getting up from his bed, Freddy walks over to his desk and sits down. With a small pop, he opens the hatch and peers inside. It’s now almost twice as large as before, and the small beings inside were very visible. He wondered how much longer they had. Given the free space in his abdominal parts, there was plenty of room left for however large they were going to grow to. It was almost surreal.
Going back to the files, he came across some notes that could have any more information he didn’t. Instead, he came across some other text.
Probability of success: 29%
—
“Oh, pardon me, Officer Vanessa?” The handler starts her shift soon after the building closes for the evening, though often she would be called in by management whenever needed. Donning her cap, she looked up at the large bear that practically met her at the door.
“Do you need something? Or are you just that happy to see me?” she stated bluntly.
Freddy opened his mouth to speak but closed it once more. “I ah… I require assistance, yes,”
The blonde sighed, finishing with tying her shoes before straightening, placing a hand on her hip. “Alright, what do you need?”
The bear paused, looking around as he shifted his weight. “C-can we talk in private…?”
With a sigh, she dragged the automaton to the ticket booth, shutting the door behind them.
“Spill,”
“Well you see, I was looking at the files that you gave me and I happened to come across a note that suggests that the probability of success is under thirty percent, is that an odd typo? Certainly they mean ninety-two percent right?”
“Probably not,” Vanessa leaned against the wall, pulling out her tablet to look the files over. “Given how risky this all is, I don’t doubt that it’s pretty low,”
“B-but wait that would mean-”
“That it could fail? Very much so. That’s why I didn’t want you to get attached to it, it would mean a much longer recovery period if you did,” she let out a low sigh. “Listen, I’m only telling you this for your own good, just let it be and detach, sooner or later you’ll be fine,” the woman placed a hand on the other’s shoulder before exiting the room, leaving the bear alone.
The realization threw a wrench in everything that he had thought of. The idea of just failing this task he thought that at least he was best suited for was a constant blanket of anxiety. It was something he couldn’t handle.
The only thing now was to simply stop thinking about it, not grow attached like Vanessa had suggested, and go on with his daily life without it. Freddy went as far as to delete the copies of his files that Vanessa had given to him as to not pay attention to it, now he was merely living in blissful ignorance. It seemed to be working more or less, but it was more akin to repairing a water balloon with tape. Sure it’d work for a little bit, but for how long?
By the time the next check-up rolled around, Freddy felt fairly better about the situation. Whether that was healthy or not, he’d rather not think about it. The time on the examination chair seemed fairly long, with a new technician in along with the person from before babbling to themselves while taking notes. It didn’t seem important now. By their pleased tones it seemed that nothing was going wrong yet, but the pessimistic mentality that Freddy had put himself into didn’t seem to think that anything would last very long. Taking whatever instructions they had given him, the ursine bot returned to normal.
Sleeping became a hassle. Freddy didn’t know what happened to cause it but for the past week trying to pass out was getting harder and harder to do.
Thankfully they didn’t need it as much as living beings did, they could simply go charge to make up for lost sleep but it was the act of shutting down that was oddly comforting. Like a manual reset that often helped with a lot of issues. But here Freddy was, lying on his back staring at the ceiling fan as it spun slowly. He checked the time again, it was a little after 3am, and no amount of tossing and turning allowed his mind to shut down long enough to enter rest mode. It was exhausting.
A sudden knock on his door caused the bear to jump, sitting up in bed.
“Who is it?”
The door opened to reveal Roxanne in her sleeping attire. She seemed half-awake, rubbing her eyes. “Can I sleep in here with you?”
The question threw the bear into a loop. This wasn’t something she normally did. “Sure, come on in,” Freddy shifted, scooting over in order to make room for the other and lifting one side of his blanket up for her to get under.
The wolf did just that, curling up right next to him. With a mumble of thanks, she nuzzled into the warmth.
“Don’t tell the others, ‘kay?”
“Of course, I won’t speak a word of this,” he couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle.
“If they ask, you can like… say that we banged or somethin’,” shifting a bit, she rested her head on the bear’s chest, letting out a deep sigh before going silent once more.
As the quiet continued, Freddy couldn’t help but think of the situation. What made it to where his bandmate and friend trusted him to not only come in here to sleep but to also not talk about it to others. It’s not like they were any less trusting and comforting than he, right? Sure, Monty wasn’t normally the cuddly type but Chica was. What made the bear so special?
Roxy shifted in her sleep, rolling over once, twice, three times as she seemed to be having trouble getting comfortable. Freddy stilled as she did so, unsure if he was moving at all making it hard for the other to get to sleep. After a few moments, she sat up slightly. With a groan of frustration, she slapped his abdomen with the palm of her hand, the impact making a dull thud.
“Ow-”
“The hell did they do-” she threw off the covers, staring at what she’d been using as a pillow.
“What do you mean?” Freddy tittered, sitting up now that sleeping was off the table.
“Made you all… stiff and junk. How the hell am I supposed to use you as a pillow if they messed even that up,” she leaned forward, reaching for the hatch, sparking panic.
“Whoa- hey hey!” the bear squawked in protest as he scooted out of the way, draping an arm over the handle. “Come on, don’t just… reach for my hatch like that-” He tried laughing it off, though he could tell by the look on the other’s face that she wasn’t taking it lightly.
“Why are you being so… closed off all of a sudden?” Roxy crosses her arms over her tee-shirt, raising an eyebrow in suspicion. “What’s going on?”
He couldn’t help the bubbling panic that started emerging, causing the bear to try and cover up the issue at hand with his arms and legs, curling up as he avoided the other’s gaze. There was no getting out of it now, not when she knew obviously something was up.
Finally, he let out a deep sigh.
“Okay but… please don’t be upset with me…” reluctantly, Freddy put his legs down. Still unable to fully look the other in the eyes instead he opened the hatch himself letting Roxy see what she was looking for. “I um… they wanted me to be a part of an experiment…”
She stayed silent for a little bit, not helping his nerves at all, until she scooted forward and reached a hand out to place on the faux organ. The touch sent shivers down the bear’s spine.
“So this is what you’ve been hiding?” her voice was softer than before, calmed down exponentially from her annoyed angry outburst.
“Y-yeah…” he couldn’t help but be completely still, afraid that movement would cause something bad to happen.
“The whole time?” she peered from behind the hatch, an eyebrow raised in judgment. “Because obviously if you think about it from when this should have all started, that’s been a long time, Fazbear,”
The bear let out a low whine. “I-I was scared, okay?” he sank into the bedding further, shame written on his face. “I didn’t know how you would react..”
The hand ran over the smooth surface. “Any idea who’s they are?”
“No… It wasn’t mentioned anywhere, I doubt that the technicians care at all,”
“They’re so small,” Roxanne leaned in forward, assuming to get a better look at the tiny things inside. “You know what, this explains a lot doesn’t it?”
She stayed for a little while longer, seeming to be at least not unhappy with the resolution.
“Do you think that-” she was cut off suddenly by a jolt, causing the bear to inhale sharply and to grab the headboard suddenly. “Holy shit it moved!!”
“It- ..they… have not done that before…” The feeling was astounding in itself, he couldn't imagine what it felt like from the outside.
Roxanne laughed softly, leaning back. "Hey, if those aren't mine I don't know where they got that energy from,"
For a moment, the feeling of joy returned only for the creeping sensation of reality set in.
"Roxanne, you shouldn’t be getting attached…" he pulled back, away from the touch.
"What? Why not?"
"Because, this is only supposed to be an experiment, meaning if this is merely a test run, I do not expect things to go smoothly…" With the back of his hand, the ursine bot dabbed at the tears that threatened to spill. He laughed bitterly. "Even if things go to plan, I don't think they'd have any reason to keep them here. And that’s only if they survive until term,”
Freddy closed the hatch, now feeling extremely exposed out in the open and now covering himself up. The entire time of trying to push thoughts away and become detached only seemed to snap back everything he had been trying to push away the past however long. The bear felt his resolve crumble as the reality of just how emotionally invested in the little buds of life.
The balloon popped, now spilling weeks worth of pent-up emotional issues all over everything he tried to fix. Now he was back to square one.
The bear covered his face with his paws, trying to physically hold back the tsunami before it had a chance to spill.
“I-I wasn’t supposed to get attached…” the bear coughed, trying to dispel the frog in his throat. “Vanessa said that it would be easier if I didn’t so… so why did I??”
Roxanne watched in apprehension, only just now learning about what was going on and only just now hearing all this emotional damage that was happening. She couldn’t imagine having to deal with it all by yourself.
“Teddy. Teddy, hey,” she pulled the other to her chest, letting the bear crumble into her embrace. What was more concerning was the fact that he was completely silent. At least when he was upset before by smaller things, he made a sound. But now, he didn’t, only shaking ever so slightly as the bear practically tried to erase himself from existence with how much he was curling in on himself.
In all actuality, she didn’t know what to do. The wolf was only just aware of the situation, not what to do to help her almost broken friend. So instead of trying to fix it, she hugged the bear tighter to herself, muttering sweet nothings until the shaking eventually stopped. His breath evened its pace, letting the wolf know that he had finally drifted off.

Chapter Text
The metal door was all that stood in the way. The only thing keeping the ursine bot from making the decision was the few inches of steel and one red button. It was most likely a bad one but at this point, he was desperate for some kind of distraction. Hovering his finger over the button, he hesitated.
—
"So… who all knows?" Roxanne took a strand of hair and twirled it.
The morning after the wolf was given the news was filled with awkwardness. Thankfully, Roxanne had spent the rest of the night in Freddy’s room, whether it was the want to make sure that he actually slept through the night or that she just had too many questions that she decided to wait until morning. Freddy wasn’t sure. But now it was a few hours before the Plex opened, the two automatons sitting on top of the now messy bed.
"Just Vanessa and Chica, and now you," Freddy had hugged a pillow to his chest in an odd search for comfort. He stared at the funnily themed bedding that he had, the white sheets covered in a pattern of blue stars.
“So you haven’t told Monty yet?”
Freddy replied with a single dry ‘ha’.
“No, I have no idea how I would do that. I didn’t even know how to tell you,”
The wolf hummed a note and went quiet, a normal sarcastic comment that would have come out absent and replaced with her own silent thoughts. The silence didn’t seem to help the bear’s nerves at all, even if she wasn’t staring at him, he felt as if he was being watched.
Thankfully the soft chiming of the new hour broke the hush, jumping the wolf into standing up.
“We should be getting ready for opening,” she stated, stretching her limbs out. “I’ll uh… I’ll be seeing you okay?” Roxanne waved halfheartedly before turning to the door.
“Right…”
The door shut behind her, leaving Freddy now alone. He wondered if the technicians would be upset that Roxanne knew now or if they’d even find that out. It was still weird that they didn’t want anyone else to know about it, though nearly everything they did was weird and gave the bear an odd feeling in his gut.
Speaking of…
He didn’t know if they just decided to wait until now or if it was merely coincidental, but the movement returned for a brief moment. It was akin to a sudden fluttering feeling, like back when they had to be cleaned regularly and Freddy would get his abdominal tank wiped down with a fuzzy rag.
In almost a frenzied rush, the ursine stood and nearly dove for the mirror and popped his hatch. If he could squint, the shadows shifted in time with the fluttering feeling. It was bizarre to say the least.
“Ha! There you are!” the bear let out a rapid excited giggle before quickly shaking his head, cutting himself off. Why was he talking to it?
Closing the hatch, the bear went on his way to the front for opening. If anything, the movement should make him feel better knowing that they were still alive but at the same time getting his hopes up felt like a bad idea.
The day’s activities helped somewhat with getting the bear out of the anxious mood, but that was only because of the guests. It was like a switch that flipped in during opening time that all of the Glamrocks had. For Freddy himself, it made him a little more charismatic and friendly, things you’d expect from an entertainer. It gave the bear more energy to do performances and greets with excited kids, sing happy birthday at least 5 times and still have enough energy to take photos with guests by the time that the place closed. The entire time, he was so focused on his job that he didn’t quite have enough space to worry about other things.
He figured that it was all intentional, possibly installed soon after they were given actual emotions and their… issues popped up. It was probably easier to do so rather than try and fix the problems. At least it worked well enough. The “performance mode” seemed to silence anything that might cause something bad to happen.
The effects wore off soon after the last guest left, the theoretical high now crashing as the day’s activities took a toll. Just get back to the room and sleep maybe. He was contemplating showering, but the energy needed to do so seemed like too much.
When the bear entered backstage, both the girls seemed to have been waiting for him. They suddenly stood from where they were sitting and scrambled over, their faces looking as if they were afraid a gust of wind would blow him over and shatter him on the spot.
Oh lovely.
“Hi Freddy-bear!” the avian bot smiled, wringing her hands to her chest. “I hope you’re feeling better now!”
“If there’s anything you need, just let us know and we’ll get it! Or do it. Or get Vanessa to,”
Freddy’s ears pinned to his skull in a display of disgruntlement. “I do not need you to do that. I’m fine, really…”
“Roxy told me about what happened, we just want to make sure that everything’s okay,”
With that statement, he glared at the wolf who broke eye contact.
“Listen, I was worried about you, and I was sure that Chica could help!” she offered, scratching her ear in a display of abnormal nerves.
“Well you can both stop. What you saw was just momentary emotional issues, nothing more,”
The two girls eyed each other before turning back to face him.
“You have to understand, we’re only trying to make sure that you’re okay,”
Freddy let out a groan, pinching his snout. “ Yes, I am aware…” trying to look at the two seriously was becoming harder to do. “But I do not need, nor want to be babied like this. I just want you to treat me like you normally do, stop patronizing me,”
There was a pause.
“Listen, I’m not quite sure if it's possible to just go back to normal, I mean after everything that’s going on…” Chica piped up, eyeing the ground to avoid the look the taller bear was giving her.
“Of course not,” with an exasperated sigh, he turned to leave.
He knew their intentions were noble, but it didn’t seem to help very much. Normally he was happy to be comforted in times of distress but that was few and far between. He didn’t know how much more of twenty four-seven coddling he could take. Roxy must have told Vanessa about the bear’s emotional break as well because the next time he saw her, she gave him access to her cell phone number, telling him to call her or message her if he needed it. Not as if he wanted to do that, her off time shouldn’t be filled with having to deal with more of the bot’s issues.
By the time he had traveled back to the bedrooms, Freddy decided he needed something else that could at least numb the mental pain for a little while. Something that didn’t include being practically locked down by the girls. There was only one person who would treat him normally.
—
Without any more hesitation, he pressed the large button. The bear had made up his mind.
The door to Monty’s room opened, the gator seemingly shocked at the arrival.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“I need stress relief,” Freddy stated bluntly, using the codeword that they had come up with.
“Oh…” the reptilian bot sputtered, looking astonished. “I didn’t think you’d still be into that stuff, to be honest,” he laughed, stepping out of the way to let the other in. “It’s been a little while since last time,”
“I want you to give me everything you have.”

Chapter Text
The gator wasted no time getting on with it. Grabbing either of the bear’s hands, he lead the other to the bed and pushed slightly, letting the other fall with a short squeak.
Freddy knew for sure if Monty knew everything that he would have absolutely refused. Which was why it was a good idea to not tell him. He wouldn’t be able to handle everyone treating him like he was made of glass. The somewhat tight grip on his hip seemed to prove that point.
"Sorry, not much of a kisser," the gator laughed softly, flipping the other over. “Hope this is okay,”
Grabbing both of his hands and moving them above his head, the bear was pinned to the plush of the bed. He seemed to only need one to do so as Monty wasted no time digging his digits into the warm cream and golden brown fur. Out of the handful of times he had done this, the bear didn’t really know what he had asked for. The large hand found its way in between the bear’s shoulder blades, trailing down his spine making him shiver.
The hand moved away to feel all up and down the bear with quick precision. The hand holding onto the wrists released themselves as they both now explored the bear’s soft fur. Digging under, he pulled the bear to separate him from the bed and feel over the blue bolt that decorated his chest. To Freddy's fear, the hands trailed lower. The bear’s eyes went wide in a sudden panic as he squirmed in the other’s grasp, the memory from the night with Roxanne flashing suddenly.
"W-wait wait- Monty-! Bogey!"
Immediately the gator stopped, having never heard their safeword used. The grip on the bear loosened and moved away much to his relief.
"You okay?"
"Y-yes… sorta…" Freddy took in a few deep breaths. "I just got kinda… overwhelmed…"
"We can stop if you need,"
"No no, I'm okay, honest!" He shook his head. “Please can we try again, I just… really need this..”
Monty paused for a moment before letting out a small sigh. “Okay, but I’ll be slower. Be vocal with what you want and don’t want, ‘kay?”
With a nod, the bear returns to the bed and buries his face into the pillows that smelled just barely of the gator himself. It was surprisingly a pleasant smell, whether or not it just was or was by association, it didn’t really matter.
The hands wandered as if he was trying to memorize all of his features by touch alone. Almost outright groping the bear’s chest, a short chuckle resonated from the gator’s throat.
“Yer a cutie you know that right?” he purred softly, nibbling the other’s shoulder playfully. “So soft, like you were made just for me to touch,”
He couldn’t help the small moan that came from the gentle words,
The feather-light touch was far from what he expected to be rough from the gator’s point of view, but that thought changed as soon as the fingers reached the small vestigial tail and grasped it tightly.
With a shocked gasp, the limb was pulled forcing the bear to bend his back to meet with the lukewarm of the reptilian bot's middle. The hands moved to grip the bear's shorts, holding tightly and with a tug, the fabric was torn. Before he was able to be upset about the article of clothing, Freddy was absolutely enthralled with the gesture. As the modesty hatch was opened, the same fingers trailed lightly to touch.
"My my, you're already this excited for me?" Even with his back turned, he could tell from the tone that Monty wore a wide grin.
The bear’s ears pinned in slight embarrassment, though it was enveloped with pleasure as the fingertips dipped in between the folds into the wet heat. Conscious of his claws, the reptilian dipped deeper. With a low laugh, he scissored them slightly.
“Been a while, hm?” he asked, pulling them out to savor the thick fluid leftover on his fingers.
With a wide grin on his face, he looked the bear in the eye as he ran his tongue over them, humming softly as he licked off of the substance and watched the other flush deeply.
“You’re doing that on purpose…” the ursine let out a small whine, shoving his face back into the pillow to hide his face.
“Maybe, maybe not,” planting his hands on the bed, the looming figure trailed upward and placed his muzzle on the crook of the other’s neck, a rumbling sound emitting from his throat. “So, you still doing alright?”
“M-Monty please…” he could tell how much the gator was getting off to teasing him, with the bright smile to the tender light touches. There was a shift, the sound of clothing being removed and then finally the overly warm sensation of the almost real tool that was now rubbing along the wet folds.
Thankfully he didn’t take as long this time, pulling back just enough to line up before finally sinking down into the warmth punctuated with a pleased gasp from below. Thankfully, the gator paused for a bit to let the other get his bearings. It was a feeling that he nearly forgot about it had been so long.
After a moment, the bear shifted impatiently. “Mmh… Y-you can move now...”
Monty made a soft noise as he moved his hand to grab onto Freddy’s hip, digging his claws into the soft material as he didn’t waste time getting into a rather rough rhythm. Having no other thing to grab onto, the bear dug his hands into the floppy pillow once more, hoping that the bed wasn’t as loud as he imagined it was.
It was getting more obvious by the second that Monty was wanting to do this for a long time by how he made gruff growling noises with every thrust, the force shoving the bear further and further into the bedding as he did so. Shifting slightly, Monty moves his hand to under one of Freddy’s knees, pulling up his leg as he did so.
The new position seemed to let the gator thrust deeper than before, the now nearly overwhelmed bear left to let out the rather lewd noises into the pillows that he bit into. The heavy panting from right above his head showed that at least the gator was having as much fun as he was. A somewhat warm wet thing trailed behind the ursine’s ear, what he could only assume was a tongue as it trailed up and teethed his earring with mild caution. The knowledge that one wrong move could give the bear another piercing somehow made this a little more exciting. A large hand moved around, tracing sharp claws over soft fur as if trying to find a better handle before settling on, what Chica described, as the bear's boob. He seemed to think of it as such by the way he squeezed it like an oversized stress ball, earning a straight-up keen from its owner.
They definitely weren’t that sensitive before…
The constant movement of rocking back and forth caused a little bit of vertigo that seemed to go away once Freddy squeezed his eyes shut and merely focused on the sensations that were more pleasant. It was almost intoxicating. The bubbling warm feeling started to spread in the bear’s core, fear of overheating flashing momentarily.
What he didn’t expect was Monty to stop suddenly, pulling out altogether.
“H-huh..?” the bear was left panting, only to be grabbed by the shoulders and flipped suddenly to truly face to face with the lust-blown crimson eyes.
“Wanna see you,” he stated factually before thrusting the entire length back into the warmth.
Almost no time was wasted getting back to the pace that was set before only now it was face to face so that the ursine could see the focused and almost lust-crazed look the gator sported on his face. It was enticing, to see the other this way and without the star glasses he always wore, the deep crimson eyes made the bear flush more than he was before.
“‘M gettin’ close…” Monty huffed, his rhythm getting sloppy and rougher. It was more or less a warning.
“H-haah… s-same…” by this point, he was surprised he was able to say words at all, though just the one seemed to be all he could.
The gator growled and snarled, sending shivers down the bear’s spine as the other pressed closer. Opening his jaw, he latched onto the other’s shoulder as he came, the odd but familiar warmth spreading further. The sudden spark of pain helped drive the ursine bot over with tense shivers and desperate hands rushing to pull the reptile closer in order to ride the rest of the high out.
There was a comfortable moment of silence between the few, only the sounds of heavy breaths taken in. It was nice. Even if it would have been great to just pass out like that, the position Freddy was in was starting to get uncomfortable.
Thankfully, Monty seemed to get the hint as his jaw unlocked and he pulled away.
“A-ah fuck- I didn’t mean to do that…” the gator sat back to see the area that he had bitten was now saturated with the light translucent blue that was their blood. “You should have said somethin'…”
Freddy moved a hand to the wound, lightly tracing it and bringing it back to his face to assess the damage. Sure it stung a little, but it was nothing serious.
“I’m fine, Monty, don’t worry about it,” he offered a small smile, something to at least calm his nerves.
Satisfied with the answer, the now fatigued gator grabbed the other and pulled him in to cuddle. Monty thankfully chose the big spoon, scooting the other down in order to stick his snout in the warmth of the bear’s collar. It was nice, quiet, and comforting with only the sounds of their paired breathing to break up the silence. For a moment, Freddy was finally able to relax.
Until a small inaudible thump broke him out of his comfort.
“Stop that-” he hissed under his breath, not even realizing it was out loud until the gator shifted.
“Hm?”
“Sorry sorry, it was nothing,” grabbing one of the pillows, the bear hugged it to his chest, hoping that by thinking it, the little cubs would stop moving and make their presence known. It was starting to get really hard to ignore it.
Monty was quiet for a moment more until he cleared his throat.
“So… in general, are you okay?” the concern was laced in his voice.
“...Yes?”
“You phrased it like a question.”
“Y-yes I am okay, why do you ask?”
The gator paused, the hands wrapped around the other’s chest tightening slightly as the fingers buried themselves further into the thick fur.
“You’ve been distant, lil’ jumpier than usual,” the tone used seemed to dip, going deeper and softer than the gator’s usual gruff vocals. “And now, you’ve never really been this… impulsive before,”
Trying to think of a story without sounding like a lie was harder than he thought. Instead, Freddy simply tried to use part of the truth.
“I-it’s just the girls… They’ve been acting a lot more delicate with me as of late and I’m just getting tired of it,” the ursine waved his free hand in the air to punctuate his frustration. “I know they’re just worried about… my mental health… but I just don’t wanna be treated like I can’t handle things on my own…”
The smidgen of truth seemed to slide as the gator hummed in understanding.
“Yeah, I can see that,” the long green snout returned to the bear’s fur, taking a long inhale. “If you need anything, just help feeling normal again just let me know ‘kay?”
The statement released all the pent-up stress as he exhaled long and deep. “Thank you Monty, you’re a great friend,”
He stilled for a moment, the slight movement not noticed by the other.
“Y-yeah… anytime, Bud..”
Monty flicked the end of his tail as he stared blankly at the far wall over Freddy’s shoulder. He didn’t know what he expected, it wasn’t like they hadn’t been doing this for a while, there was no reason for him to think any differently.
But he couldn’t help the dull sting in his throat.
Before he could notice himself feeling tired, the retpilian bot found himself waking in the comfort of his bed. He was warmed nicely, and opening his eye revealed the still sleeping bear with his muzzle pressed into the gators’ chest. His breathing was slow and steady through barely parted lips ghosting against Monty’s scaly skin with every exhale.
It wasn’t often that they were this close, at least close enough for Monty to really study the bear’s facal features up close without seeming weird for staring. He remembered when they had went through the process of being “upgraded” to this standard, the singer now looking more like what a natural ursine would look like in the wild save for the bright red and blue markings on his warm brown fur. He really couldn’t help it, his bandmate was really pretty.
A sudden shift from the other caused the gator to tear his gaze away, lest he’d be caught in his awkward leering as the bear slowly woke from his slumber. The bright blue eyes were revealed as the bear squinted from the light, only to go wide as he thrashed suddenly and tumbled off of the bed.
“Shit-! You okay?” Monty sat up suddenly, peering over the edge of the bed to find the foot drop didn’t really do a lot other than stun the bear.
Freddy was tangled in the sheets of Monty’s bed, and trying to get up seemed to be a little more difficult than normal. The gator couldn’t help but chuckle as he slid off the bed and started untangling the other.
“I-I apologize, I had… an odd dream…” the bear scratched at his scalp, looking ashamed by his actions.
“No worry, these beds weren’t really made for more than one,” getting the rest of the sheets loose, the two stood awkwardly in the center of the room.
There was a few seconds of silence before Freddy clapped his palms together once.
“I can use a shower-” he declared, seemingly trying to break the silence. “Would you like to accompany me?”
Monty laughed once more, himself running fingers through his maroon hair. “Yeah yeah,”
Making their way to the elevators, he couldn’t help but notice the shredded remains of the bear’s shorts that he had mindlessly destroyed. All that was left was the waistband and a few strips of fabric that pathetically hung off of them. It wasn’t like Monty minded either. He could still remember the stand that Vanessa took with a bag of various clothing (specifically pants) that she handed to the bear after a day’s work. She stated that she wouldn’t stand seeing him walk around practically nude anymore. Which had turned the bear nearly beet red as he took the bag and disappeared.
Once they got downstairs to the showers Monty leaned into one of the small closed rooms and turned the water on, allowing it to get warm as the bear removed the tatters of clothing that remained.
“I really liked those-” he pouted lightly. “You don’t have to tear through my clothes Monty…”
“Hey, if they’re in the way I’m tearin’ through them,” he laughed, earning a chuckle as well.
Pulling Freddy into the shower, the gator starts thoroughly washing him. It was more or less trying to rid of evidence and more of a bonding experience as the bear hummed softly letting his back get scrubbed. Perring down Monty couldn’t help but notice the small tail on him wag like a pompom on a stick and it took everything in him not to laugh at it. He didn’t seem too bothered as Freddy took his own washcloth in order to wash his front, though it was new.
Once they were done and dried, thankfully now clothed, the reptilian bot took the other’s hand in order to guide him back to the rooms. Whatever mental stuff that was going on with Freddy seemed better, at least for now as he smiled more and laughed at everything dumb Monty had to say. It was charming, and made the gator somewhat relieved to see him feeling better.
Once they rounded the corner, the bear went silent. Across the hall there were a couple workers walking in their direction. What was odd was that Freddy seemed to jolt at the sight of them, the grip on Monty’s hand tightening.
“There you are!” one of the humans stated, waving and walking faster over. “Wow, we’ve been looking everywhere for you!”
For some reason, they went straight to Freddy, though maybe it did make sense given that he was the star of the show.
“F-for me…?” he asked timidly, tugging on the clean shirt he had put on.
“Of course! It’s time for your routine maintenance! Please come with us!” a hand shot out as Monty tried to follow. “Not you.”
“Hey, why not? I wanna see what you guys have been doin’!” he flared his nostrils in a display of frustration. If he wanted to, he could just refuse to listen and go anyway.
“Negative, you are to stay here, this has nothing to do with you!” the singsong tone was laced in venom, the worker staring daggers into the gator’s eyes. He was so mch bigger than them, and the venom didn’t do anything.
Before he could decide on violence, Freddy placed a paw over his chest to keep him there.
“It’s nothing serious, I’m sure,” he offered, the smile a lot more forced this time. “Please, I do not wish any harm to you. I’ll be back shortly,”
With an exhaperated huff, he watched as the humans took the bear down the hall, his hand ripped from his own as he saw the other peer back one more time before disappearing past a corner.
“Routine maintenance my ass,” Monty grumbed, kicking a trash can that tumbled to the ground, spilling its contents. “I’m gonna tear off someone’s face someday,”

Chapter Text
Whatever they wanted to see the bear for, it was taking a long time. Montgomery knew what routine matinence was, he’d go down there and get random nerves tweaked when he’d injure himself with his rough behavior and jostle some of the important wirings that kept him working. Even the longest sessions only lasted about an hour at most to keep things working, but here he was, sitting in the bright blue and orange room two hours in and with no sign of his bandmate. It wasn’t like Freddy was reckless enough to need something major done, if anything it was the opposite. The bear was incredibly careful with everything that he did to the point that it was laughable.
Originally he had planned on meeting him back there to try and talk about the recent feelings that popped up, perhaps in a way to alleviate the uncomfortable burn in his chest every time he thought about it. Feelings were stupid and he didn't want to deal with them any longer.
The gator impatient stamped his foot to the ground in time with the steady ticking of the clock, finding every second was passing slower and slower.
What in the world were they doing anyway?
Sure when they all got upgraded it took nearly a month of on and off tune-ups to make sure that they were completely prepared to go back into business but that was a lot more than what was normal now. As he sat and stared at the wonderfully themed clock on the wall, the gator’s mind wandered to the possibilities. It was possible that they were finally going in and fixing whatever bull they messed up with the bear’s head, at least that would be a better alternative to leaving it there. But on that same note, the guys in charge didn’t seem that bothered by them to begin with, if anything they’d probably reset him and let all of the problems vanish along with the rest of him.
The long striped green and yellow tail thrashed on the bed behind him, absentmindedly knocking off a few of the pillows onto the floor. If they dared do anything to Freddy then he was going on a rampage. Monty didn’t care if they shut him down after, if he died knowing he had made someone who hurt him’s life a living hell then he’d die happy.
With a bought of energy, the gator stood and rushed out of the room. At least if they were going to do something dumb he wanted to be there to catch them in the act and have a head start on ripping someone’s arm off. That’d be hilarious. Or maybe he was just going to watch and see what they were actually doing in the room for so long. That was probably the most plausible answer. Even if he would be kicked out. Still worth it if it meant an answer.
Catching the elevator with the bear’s logo on it, Monty waited for the steady descent to the lower levels. He hated how slow they were. If he wasn’t afraid that they would break and get him stuck in there, he would probably punch the buttons in an attempt to make them go faster.
By the time he had gotten down to parts and service, he felt like he was going to go insane. The doors opened slowly to reveal the dimly lit area and when he stepped out he expected to see a few workers doing their normal thing down there but instead the room was empty. Was he finished? Did they leave a while ago and Freddy just didn’t tell him that he was? The gator’s brows furrowed at the thought.
He stepped into the main area of the room where the tables of equipment stood. Nothing looked like it had been used. Everything was right where it was supposed to be. All except his bandmate.
With a low growl, the gator started back to the main sector of the building. Nothing seemed to be adding up and he was starting to feel angry and stupid. He hated feeling stupid.
Soon the walls changed from dingy gray to the brightly painted walls normally seen by guests. The neon lights lit up the closed areas in a way that made the place feel almost haunted with how much activity was normally going on in the empty rooms.
At this point, the reptilian bot wanted to break something. He was so tired of these emotions that he wanted to rip them out of his dumb head. The only real thing that kept him sane was the missing orange bear. That and breaking things. But at least in the presence of the ursine, he didn’t need to break anything. Monty wasn’t the type to hold emotion well. Normally that emotion was anger and he was great at letting that emotion out but this was completely different.
Before he made it to the swamp-themed golf course, he spotted a tuft of white feathers poking out from an overturned food cart.
“Chica,” he cleared his throat, poking the fluff.
The avian bot jolted, causing a loud bang as her head hit the top of the metal. She ducked out, rubbing the spot.
“Monty! Hi!” she grinned, her earrings jingling slightly as she waved.
“Did Freddy come through here?” he peered around the area, hoping to see some sort of sign of the person he was looking for.
“No? I thought he was with you?” she peeled a lollipop off of her arm, taking a few feathers with it.
“He went with some of the workers for some reason. It’s been a couple hours though,” the gator leaned against one of the walls. “They interrupted our conversation and it was rather important,”
“Oh so you talked?” she sighed like it was a massive relief. “That’s great! Goodness, I was wondering when he was gonna tell you! It’s just been eating at him for so long, the poor dear! I swear I might have done so myself if I was my place, but it’s just so big and stressful aaaannnd….” she stopped talking, taking in the perplexed look from the gator. “And we’re not on the same page, are we?”
Chica’s purple eyes went wide at her realization, her hands going up to mess with the bangles on her wrists as she broke eye contact.
“What is it that he isn’t tellin’ me?” it was less of a question and more of a demand as he took a step forward .
“L-like I said! It isn’t my place…” she shuffled, her feathers standing up on end.
“Chica…”
“O-oh my look at the time! I gotta go!” she almost shouted before turning and bolting it across the large floors.
“Wh- GET BACK HERE!” Monty wasn’t opposed to chasing the other down like a wild animal to get his answers, even if she was squawking loud enough for the entire building to hear.
The bird was fast, faster than he would have suspected, and quite good and cutting corners and sharp turns leaving the less agile gator to skid and run into walls. Chica didn’t seem to know where she was running or what she was trying to do other than get away because she went from the stage through the main eating area (a few tables were thrown in the gator’s wake) and through various restaurants. There wasn’t anything that stopped him, no cleaning bot, no arcade machine, nothing. His breathing turned into gruff panting, outright snarling like a predator on the hunt. In a way, he practically was.
With a misstep from the bird, he saw his opening. He lunged, biting down on the fluffy feathers of her tail and bringing her down with a scream. He wasted no time pinning his bandmate to the ground flipping her over to see her face. He wanted to demand answers from her, but his voice was only able to make threatening growls.
“Monty!” the sound of thumping footsteps snapped the gator out of his trance, sitting up to see Freddy running over. “What are you doing??”
Before Monty could think right, all the emotional buildup exploded. He stood suddenly, leaving the chicken alone, and brought all his attention to the bear.
“You’re lyin’ to me!” he stated, witnessing the other break eye contact at the accusation.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, please calm down and we can talk about this!” Freddy took a step back, shrinking in on himself as Monty grew closer.
“Like hell you don’t know! Do you think I’m stupid?”
“N-no of course not!” he threw up his hands as if trying to diffuse the situation. The normal calming aura did nothing at this point as the gator no longer could hold anything back.
“Tell me! What are you hiding from me?!” another step forward. The bear jumped as he backed into the wall. “You’re probably laughin’ behind my back, aren’t ya?”
“M-Monty please you’re scaring me!”
“Tell me the truth!”
“I-I can’t!”
“You told Chica just fine! Does Roxanne know too?”
The silence seemed to answer that question just fine.
Anger bubbled higher, refusing to be contained any longer. With a bellow of steam escaping his nostrils he rose his hand, punching the wall behind the bear causing the brick and cement to cave under his brute.
Then, he stopped.
For a moment, Monty snapped out of his rage to behold the situation strewn out in front of him. He was practically boxing Freddy in, who was now pressed against the wall and sunken to the ground, tears overflowing and dampening his fur. It was the look in his eyes, the bright cobalt blue eyes, that really shook him. It was a look of absolute horror.
It was happening again.
Monty opened his mouth to speak, but all that came out was a scream. Pain shot through his entire body as it seized up, a distinct smell of burning wafting in the air until the gator crumbled to the ground. His systems started to shut down, the shaken voice of their handler speaking in her professional tone the only thing he could hear as the darkness closed in.
—
Vanessa had never needed to use it. The very gun-shaped item that she was given at the beginning of her job. A high voltage taser. Something with enough voltage that would easily kill a human, an item made exclusively for one thing. To shut down a rampaging robot. She had even laughed when they gave it to her, thinking it was a prank but the stern look on the boss proved otherwise.
Now she stood over the still smoking form of the animatronic gator, mere feet from the curled-up bear who looked like a deer in headlights.
This was so fucked up.
—
The bootup sequence took longer than normal. Slowly, every system slowly turned on as the reptilian automaton regained consciousness. He groaned and shifted, finding the ability to move was hindered. Opening his eyes, Monty found himself on the examination table thoroughly strapped down.
Of course.
All at once, the memories from the last moments before passing out snapped back like a rubber band, causing the overwhelming dread to spread through his stomach.
“How do you feel?”
Monty looked up to see Vanessa stepping into the chamber, her blonde hair that normally was neatly tied in a pony tail now strewn over her face.
“Been better,” he shifted, scowling in discomfort. “Can you let me out now?”
“Not yet, need to go over your mental state,” she scrolled through her tablet. “You wanna talk about what happened back there or do I just need to rake your brain for another bug?”
The gator grit his teeth. “I just lost my temper, nothin’ new…”
“I wouldn’t call finding you about to make a mistake that you would regret nothing new,” she sat down in the hard plastic chair.
“‘S not like I didn’t already fuck up bad,” he let his head fall back with a low bang, the pain of the impact not holding a candle to his internal state. Streams of saltwater rolled down his face, unable to wipe them away to hide like he normally did. “I thought I was gettin’ better-”
“And you are, we just need to... figure out a better plan,” she offered, at least trying to be reassuring. It didn’t work.
This wasn’t even the first time. He was coded to be violent, to be aggressive. Sure he could destroy property just fine and the company would merely scold him like a child but attacking others was a big nono. Flashes of the look on Freddy’s face forced themselves onto the bot, making him relive the look of abject terror from the person he was supposed to protect.
The memories melted together, now the bright blues were replaced with magenta as he watched his hands tear apart the purple rabbit he called his friend. Monty wasn’t in control then, he couldn’t have stopped if he wanted to. The virus he had before had taken over his functions and it took so long for them to repair him.
Then at least the gator had an excuse. This time he didn’t. If Vanessa wasn’t there he didn’t want to think of what he could have done.
He kinda wished that they’d just decommission him now.
“I-I wanna apologize… to Fred I mean…” he looked over at the woman typing away at her tablet.
Vanessa sighed. “I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she shook her head in sympathy.
Right. Most likely the bear wouldn’t want to see him. He wouldn’t want to see himself either.
“I can tell him for you however, you’ll be down here for a little while so that we can make sure your systems are working okay,”
“How is he? I didn’t hurt him did I?”
“...Not physically…” she shook her head, averting her eyes as she brushed the hair out of her face. “He’ll live,”
“That’s not what ‘m worried about-”
“I know.”
Notes:
tbh I was gonna have Monty confess in this chapter but I woke up and chose violence

Chapter Text
He didn't know what hurt more, his good friend being locked in repair for over three weeks, or the yelling still ringing in his ears. Sure, Monty did lose his temper at the oddest of things, often when people littered in his golf course and when one of the janitor bots got in his way, but Freddy was never the cause of his anger, much less the target for an outrage.
“There was no damage,” Vanessa had told him. “The experiment is still stable,”
The scientists in charge wanted to look the automaton over as soon as they heard about the incident. Their concern was more about losing money and less about genuinely wanting to make sure that he was okay. They were also far too busy to even let Freddy know the situation. Thankfully his handler was able to relay the information.
She didn’t seem irritated when the bear gripped his pillow tight to his chest like a small child afraid of the dark. In fact, her normal resting bitch face was replaced with knit eyebrows as she almost refused to look the bot in the eyes.
“Monty is still out of it, but we’re looking to see if his virus is back, if it is we might have to keep him under until the guys downstairs get their results," she fiddled with her tablet. "At least nothing happened with the experiment, can't tell what would have happened if something did,"
Freddy wished that they would stop calling it ‘the experiment’. They were his babies, his cubs. The way that they talked about them made it sound like they were nothing more than numbers on a clipboard. They were important but for all the wrong reasons. But if he really thought about it, he was also numbers on a clipboard. It didn't matter how advanced and sentient they became, they were only machines. No different than the tablet that Vanessa always held. Easily broken, easily replaced.
It had taken nearly an entire week to talk Freddy out of his mental funk enough to get him performing again, where the gator was still marked as “not feeling well and resting” to customers. It was hard having to explain that to a small child with the confidence and charisma that his character had but somehow the bear kept up appearances. Any time that he wasn’t on duty, he was shut in his bedroom to wallow in his own pity. It had been his own fault, if he had told Monty to begin with none of that would have happened. Stuffing his face into the pillow that he had taken from the other's room, Freddy frowned at the lack of saltwater smell that it had kept before. It still seemed to comfort the bear despite the near panic that he fell into when thinking about his bandmate. He never had such conflicting emotions before.
The quiet of closing was interrupted when Freddy’s door opened, the smaller human woman entering abruptly.
“So we got the issues resolved,” Vanessa stated, though the uncertainty was clear in her voice. “We got a lot of things regulated plus some really hard mental evaluations but we’re sure that Monty’s back to his old self,”
Freddy paused for a moment as he sat up, unsure of how to reply. “So will he be ready to return?”
“We think so, I think so,” she sighed, crossing her arms. “He really wants to speak to you, in person,”
A shiver went down his back, the bear absentmindedly folding his arms over his middle. “I’m not sure that’s… a good idea…”
“I thought that you would say that, so I planned on taking you down there just to see. If you don’t want to, we can come right back.”
It seemed simple enough, so they both took the elevator down to the parts and service where the gator had been kept this entire time. The windows provided a good look into the room itself, and in the center on the examination chair was Monty. He was hooked up to the machines where one of the maintenance workers typed away on a computer. He wasn’t sure what they were doing, but if it was helping whatever happened to Monty then he was glad.
Before he was able to fully commit, the gator turned and looked at the other, the deep red eyes almost boring through the bear’s artificial soul sending waves of panic through the ursine who immediately ducked behind the wall.
Looking very concerned, Vanessa turned to the bear.
“I-I can’t- not yet I just… I’m sorry-” he tugged at his ears, appalled that he’d be this panicked at the mere sight of the gator. That was supposed to be his friend, why was he so afraid now?
—
The evaluation droned on for far too long. Monty could understand their want to be thorough, and honestly he wanted them to be. Just to make sure that he was completely better before going back to the others.
The click clack sound of the worker typing away on their computer accompanied the low hum of machines, the gator thankfully no longer needed to be strapped down to the table as they worked on him. From the corner of his eye he spotted something red through the examination window, turning his head to see.
In the window was Vanessa and Freddy, watching intently as he was being worked on. Before he was able to be pleasantly surprised, the bear froze and hid away. All optimism practically evaporated at the display.
—
Despite the obvious irritated response to their coddling behavior, Chica and Roxy still felt the need to check up on their bear friend. Opening the door revealed the ursine bot practically buried in the blankets once again back to his depressive state.
Roxy opened her mouth to speak, but before she could do so Freddy spoke up.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me…” he stated in a low mumble. “I went to check up on how he was doing and… I couldn’t bring myself to…”
Chica was first to act, sitting on the edge of the bed to place her hand over the bear's shoulder.
"It's okay, it was a pretty stressful situation,"
“But it’s Monty ,” his voice became firm, steady and rigid as the pity melted into shame. “I know he would never hurt me, especially not now!” The ursine sat up, blankets falling off his wide frame. “So why do I feel like…”
The two girls looked at each other, each hoping the other would have any idea how to fix this issue before it got worse.
“Listen.. I know that we’ve gotten so much stuff poked in our brains and whatever but… This isn’t anything different right?” Roxy shifted from her spot on the bed, weaving her fingers together as she took a shaky breath. “None of this is your fault, not how Monty acted and not how you feel,”
“Yeah, these sorts of things don’t just get better in a day or so,” Chica took one of Freddy’s paws in her hands, holding onto it tightly. “Everything will be okay,”
As much as he wanted to believe them, as much as he wished that it would be okay there was that itchy feeling that it wasn’t. That their relationship was ruined beyond repair and they were no longer going to be friends.
“Please don’t beat yourself up about it anymore,” The avian bot leaned her head against his shoulder, or closer to say his upper arm, her cheek feathers squishing around her face as she made the saddest puppy dog face he had ever seen.
Freddy exhaled, emitting a low sigh. “Okay.. I won’t…”
The lie tasted sour.
Notes:
I'm gonna be real I have no idea who even is gonna find this but those of you who return, hey! Sorry about that!
So I ended up going through all my old liked and favorited things on tiktok after thinking that it was going to be banned and seeing all the security breach stuff really made me miss it and then I remembered this existed. I don't really remember why I stopped working on it as much, I do have most of the story beats together, honestly I think I was just nervous about figuring out how I was going to end it. But I just reread everything I had put together and I think I figured out at least what I wanna do. I did mention having a couple endings in mind so honestly I might post all of them and have it be up to interpretation.
Anyway, I was going to say I'll be posting more but I can't make any promises I'll just try not to make it more than 3 years... Sorry about that :(
