Ziggy’s P.O.V
Three long weeks ago a blonde little girl had run up to her.The girl with sunburns all over her once pale skin quickly pushed an envelope into the older girl's hands before running away nervously back to another camper with (y/h/c) hair that she had always thought was so effortlessly shiny.
The front of the envelope read: ‘top secret’ and the back had a carefully drawn heart with the words ‘open in three weeks and if you open it before then I’ll be sad and the witch will murder you, xx yours’ inside of it.She kept it close to her at all times since then, no one of value had ever iven an inkling of any sort of romantic interest in her.Well she hoped it was romantic but something about the way the heart was drawn made her thinks so for some reason.She had a list in her head of who might have sent this to her for ages so far she only had one name:
(y/n)- who she really hoped it was.
It did make sense though she had reasoned.That camper had run right back to you after giving her the envelope and she often felt her eyes on you at dinner time although that might have been Sheila, god knows her stares could cut through you just as well as an axe could-maybe better.But something about the eyes she felt made her feel warm inside and that’s definitely not something Sheila could do.
She knew it was totally weird that someone like you could have a secret like her.One she tried to hide often.The bullying she got now was bad enough but she could only Imagine how bad it would be if they find out she was queer-the hate would turn from uncomfortable and mildly scary to relentless and even dangerous.But sometimes late at night she couldn’t help but imagine you were too.Those dreams were filled with romantic gestures,kisses, happiness and sometimes not exactly pg content.
The nerves were really getting to her.Three weeks of anticipation had culminated into a melting pot of excitement and anxiety inside her.Her worst fear was that this letter was all just a joke, just another gag about her being a ‘monster’ or a ‘witch’.But, some part of her-a significantly larger part of her dreamed that this could be real.
Thank god she was alone right now or she would have looked down right crazy as she carefully and methodically opened the worn off-white envelope.Taking out the letter she noticed a twenty dollar bill fall out.oh great, it’s probably a joke about needing charity from sheila and her goons.Angrily she read the letter but her temper softened as she read it.
Dear Ziggy,
I hope this isn't weird and that you don’t hate me for what I'm about to say but.I really like you-in a romantic way.I know it’s a bit forward and we’ve only talked once but honestly you’re all I can think about since I saw you last year.That might give you a clue as to who I am but I have to warn you, I’m not a boy.I moved to sunnyside last year and I guess when I saw you at camo back then I just kind of felt like everything had clicked.
I’m gay and I hope you are too

She screamed she couldn't believe it. (Y/N) liked her too.This was amazing.AHH.SHe knew this kind of reaction didn't fit in with her usual persona but she didn't care this was an amazing feeling.
