Work Text:
There is a list of unspoken laws that every alignment needs to follow in their lives.
Betas got the easy side of the deal. They can mate and have normal relationships without issues, be it with another of their alignment or even an Alpha or Omega. They make up the majority of the population anyway, so it’s no wonder they’re common and easy to stumble upon. Their only goal is to have families and keep their bloodlines alive.
Omegas, on the other hand, probably got the hardest lives among the alignments. Suffering heats and depending on others to help, having to put up with the so-called ‘inferiority’ they’re accused of due to their type, often being caught by Alphas and Betas they do not want… It’s truly a nightmare to behold. Their purpose is, above all else, to find themselves a proper mate… And their instinct is to always obey the strong.
At the top of the chain, however, there are the mighty Alphas.
The strongest of the alignments, they exhibit a certain ferocity and ferality, unmatched by any other. They’re often considered to be those without difficulty in life, those who only get what they want to get, all being delivered on a silver plate. Good-looking, usually very intelligent and cunning, their purpose in life is actually, surprisingly, similar to the Omegas’ own.
But that is exactly what causes trouble to begin with since their instincts are much harder to control.
In the modern day and age, after entire centuries of Omega oppression, laws have been established in order to protect those who were born with said secondary gender. All nations in Teyvat seemed to adopt these laws, aside from Snezhnaya who accepted only a part of them due to its stricter look upon its people. Omegas were now allowed much more freedom than before, and unlike how they were controlled and forced into bonds, they were given the opportunity to have relationships with anyone they deemed fit for their taste.
Inazuma is one of the nations who embraced these changes wholeheartedly. Makoto, the twin sister of Ei, seemed the most open to reaching an agreement regarding the Omega laws decree, and after convincing her sibling, the rules have been properly set in place and never changed afterwards.
Not even when Makoto herself perished. Perhaps it was one of Ei’s own ways of maintaining the image of her sister alive, keeping the things the woman had an influence over exactly the same way they were.
Her own way of looking at eternity.
All things considered, after the changes took place and after the Sakoku Decree Ei enforced over her nation was lifted, Inazuma was more prosperous than ever. Commerce was at its highest, tourism had a great impact on the national economy, and foreigners were allowed to freely travel in and out of the state at their discretion.
Even the war between Watatsumi Island and the Shogunate’s forces died down after entire months of clashing.
Now, with the war out of the picture and a lot of free time on his hands, general Gorou of Watatsumi Island started thinking about issues that never plagued his mind in the past. Even if he held the role of a leader, the Shiba hybrid was, in fact, an Omega, who often concealed his scent using unique patches delivered to him on a special order from Fontaine.
Those Fontaine scientists may be considered lunatics in the public view, but sometimes, the inventions they come up with prove to be quite handy.
Thanks to these concealing patches, Gorou was often considered a Beta, or sometimes even an Alpha by the soldiers under his command. He did show enough drive and qualities to fit the role of an Alpha, so no one questioned it as their focus was entirely on the conflict they were in at the time.
Nowadays, however, the general found himself being a bit troubled.
After all, he was still not mated.
Sure, it wasn’t like Gorou needed to find himself a mate. He was young, and strong enough to keep himself safe, and as long as he had those patches on him and took his suppressants when the time for it came, he wouldn’t really have to put up with anything too troublesome, such as meddlesome Alphas or Betas trying to get all up in his business.
Then again, there was this intense sense of longing inside him. Like his inner Omega knew, above all else, that he needed an Alpha even if he was too stubborn to accept it.
It was truly very displeasing.
For quite a while after these thoughts started popping up, Gorou wasn’t sure where he should head in life. He tried looking for a suitable Alpha he could bond with, but the majority of those he met were either too full of themselves or simply extremely unpleasant fellows.
Take that Inazaki guy, for example. A powerful samurai with a good head on his shoulders who Gorou met at Shimura’s one time, but who turned out to be quite a scumbag who loved to bet and go drinking every night. Or that Shino, a writer with wonderful skill but a very big attitude and arrogance issue that left everyone with a bitter taste in their mouths after having a single chat with him.
Guy's never heard about being humble, apparently.
Long story short, it looked like any hope the Shiba had to find himself a mate had been tarnished as the days flew by. Gorou was truly starting to wonder if, perhaps, his tastes were way too complicated to satisfy, or if the issue was himself, not those Alphas he met, and yet…
Destiny decided to strike him at the strangest time possible.
It was a lovely summer morning when it happened. Gorou went out early to hunt a boar and get its meat for a healthy breakfast, and he seemed pretty certain there was no one in the forest with him aside from the animals that usually roamed about.
He spotted his prey a few meters ahead. A young boar, not too big in size, yet not too small either. The animal was peacefully nosing at the ground, probably looking for something to dig out and eat before moving to another area.
Gorou took aim, pulled the string of his bow back, and kept extreme focus as he tried shooting the target in the neck for a quick kill.
Just as he was about to let go, a loud commotion almost startled him out of his skin.
“Wait, wait, Ushi, don’t go that way!!” A loud voice, seemingly that of a young man, called out to someone, some of the bushes nearby rustling. Gorou didn’t know who it could be or why he was here at this God forsaken hour of the morning, but the boar he was previously trying to shoot fled in a panic at the sound of the newcomer’s yell.
Wonderful. Whoever this was, they owe Gorou a boar.
The Shiba didn’t yet come out from his hiding spot in the bushes. Years of military experience taught him better than to jump right out when a stranger (possibly an enemy, even) was nearby. He watched curiously, wanting to see who this loud guy was, until all of a sudden a small cow-like being ran forward from some brush, mooing as it stopped in the middle of the clearing.
It had a roof on its back… Definitely not an usual type of cow.
“Ushi, wait, boy! C’mon, I can’t go that fast!” The voice called again, and the cow- Ushi, perhaps? -perked up its head as it looked towards the source of the sound.
When the owner of the little creature appeared, Gorou widened his eyes slightly with a soft flush appearing on his face.
A young Oni, dressed in quite the exposing outfit, seemingly a delinquent of sorts.
He absolutely reeked of the scent of Alpha.
“Jeez, you really like to take off runnin’ first thing in the damn morning! I didn’t even get to tell Granny Oni we’re headed out!” The Oni grumbled towards his cow, the animal huffing in return as if it properly understood what he was saying.
Gorou noticed the faint, warm glow of an object that was on the man’s chest, apparently hanging from the spiky collar he wore on his neck.
‘A Geo vision… That creature must be a familiar of sorts, then.’ The Shiba concluded, only to suddenly jolt when he noticed the Oni looking right towards his location.
It was too late to try and gun it, however. The guy saw him, and Gorou didn’t really have any better option than to get up from where he was squatting down and aim his bow towards him as he growled.
“Stay back.” The puppy hissed, fangs bared, tail whipping at his back as he glared at the Oni. The man raised his hands quickly as a sign that he wasn’t looking to fight.
“Whoa, whoa! No need to get all violent on me, pup!” The Alpha said, quite genuine with his words. Ushi moved at his feet and stayed put, showing Gorou that its owner truly meant what he said. “I’m not here to cause trouble. You don’t have to be all alert.”
Gorou huffed, “What makes you think I can be relaxed, Oni? You’re a stranger. I never saw you before.” He grumbled. “Also, you scared my boar.”
The Oni raised an eyebrow. “Boar? Wh- Ah, wait, you were out here hunting-” He realized, scratching the back of his head awkwardly as he grinned in an apologetic manner. “Haha, oops, that’s my bad then~”
Gorou didn’t seem too impressed as he pulled his bow even tighter.
“Okay, okay, sorry! I didn’t even know you were here to begin with. Ushi here just took off by himself and I had to go chase ‘im down, so here we are. I didn’t mean that.” The Alpha sighed. “If you want, we can help you track down the boar, though! It would do me good to go hunting for a bit. Helps keep the senses sharp... or somethin'.”
The Shiba seemed to think about it, keeping the skeptical look he had in his eyes on the Oni. If he weighed his options, it would be quite stupid of him to accept the offer due to a large array of reasons. First and foremost, this man is a stranger, and an Alpha to boot. Second, Gorou didn’t imagine he’d stumble over someone in the middle of the forest this early in the day, so he didn’t wear his patches.
That meant the guy could probably tell he’s an Omega.
Which only made things worse.
“You don't strike me as a capable guy. What sort of reason would I have to trust you with that? ” Gorou demanded, not at all seeming to ease up. The Oni blinked in confusion for a moment, before he sighed again and slumped his shoulders.
“You don’t have any reason. You just met me.” He said. Then, he grinned. “But that also means I wouldn’t have any reason to hurt you either, doesn’t it?”
As much as Gorou wanted to deny, the Oni did make a good point.
So he finally lowered his bow.
“...Fine.” The Omega muttered, putting his bow and arrow away. “If you try anything, I won’t hesitate to fight, though.” He added, making the taller nod in understanding.
After the Oni made his familiar disappear for the time being, he and Gorou started their tracking of the boar that fled earlier together. It was really silent, at first, what with the two of them keeping their ears peeled for any possible sounds from the animal. Gorou would sometimes stop to look at some of the tracks on the ground, and his companion would stop with him, curious to see what he was doing.
It was only a matter of time until the Alpha, who definitely gave off the impression of an easily excitable and really active guy, got bored.
“So, uh…” He started, really not able to handle the silence anymore. “Come here often?” The man asked, making Gorou raise an eyebrow at him.
"No." He replied bluntly. Itto nodded, before he continued his questioning.
"What's your name?" The Oni hummed.
“Does it matter?” The Shiba added, thinking that there wouldn’t really be much reason for him to tell the Alpha that since they won’t see each other anymore after this.
The Oni huffed, “Hey, if I’m out here hunting with a guy at the crack of dawn, I’d like to at least know his name, y’know?” He explained.
Well, no harm would come out of it.
“...Gorou.” The puppy hummed. “My name’s Gorou, of Watatsumi Island.” He added.
The Oni smiled. He seemed happy to learn even that little detail about his companion, and the joy on his face was really clear and childish, almost, strengthening Gorou’s initial impression about him being easily excitable and all.
Pointing at himself proudly with his thumb, the Alpha grinned bright as he spoke. “Name’s Arataki Itto! Well, I actually go by many names, such as Arataki ‘The One and Oni Itto’, Arataki ‘The Pride of Oni’ Itto, Arataki ‘The Beetle Gladiator’ Itto-” He explained, going on a rant that made Gorou just listen halfheartedly as he looked around the two of them for more clues about their prey.
He got the essential out of all that speech. The Oni’s name is Itto.
That’s good to know.
Before Itto could continue his long speech, Gorou quickly raised a hand and covered the Alpha’s mouth, shushing him as his fluffy ears perked up and turned all in alert. The Alpha stayed silent as told, not really sure what was happening, until Gorou pointed towards a tree nearby, at the base of which the boar from before peacefully dug up the dirt again.
“Don’t make a single sound.” Gorou whispered, making Itto duck behind some bushes with him as he took aim like the first time around, eyes sharp and focused.
As soon as he let go of the arrow, it perfectly struck his target.
The boar fell with a loud cry, and Gorou sighed in relief now that his prey was finally caught.
If his tail was wagging like a blur at his back out of happiness, well, he’d rather die than admit it happened.
Itto whistled softly in surprise at the event, impressed by Gorou’s skill with a bow as the Shiba walked ahead towards the downed animal. The Oni trailed after him like some sort of lost puppy, and as he retrieved the arrow from the boar’s fresh corpse, Gorou looked back at him with a questioning gaze as he huffed.
“Don’t you have anywhere to be? You helped me track the boar like you promised, so there’s no need for you to linger around.” He said, making Itto smile in that dumb, yet cute way of his.
“Weeeell…” The Oni started, hands on his hips as he looked down at the other. “If I helped you out, I think it’s only fair I get a share of the spoils too, eh? I do know how to cook a few things with meat.”
Against his better judgment, Gorou’s righteous nature was screaming at him that, indeed, the Oni made a point about sharing the prey and all.
So, they ended up making a campfire together and cooking the meat, spending the morning and a part of the afternoon just chattering and learning more about one another despite the Shiba’s reluctance to speak.
At one point during it all, his heart gave a strange little thump that seemed almost out of place.
After he bid his farewells to Itto, the Omega once again fell into deep thought.
About a week after his first meeting with the Oni, Gorou could tell the guy was different from those other Alphas he met before.
First of all, even if he was sure Itto could smell he was an Omega, the Oni never once brought Gorou’s alignment up, unlike other people when they got a whiff of his scent. Second, he didn’t seem to have a single evil bone in him, and his excitement and way of thinking was so childish and pure it almost made Gorou feel like he was blinded by the way the man shone bright like the sun.
Third, Itto was a very pure-bred Alpha by the way his scent flared. It seemed like the Oni was flaring it unintentionally most of the time, and Gorou really wasn’t sure if the man knew what he was doing or not on a general basis.
All in all, it was safe to say the Shiba took an interest in the loud, boisterous yokai.
He wanted to meet him again.
“Lil pup? Man, I didn’t think I’d see you around here, haha~! It’s been a while!”
Gorou had absolutely no idea what he was doing.
For the past few days, the general had been gathering information about Itto from various sources across Inazuma. Most said that the Oni was just a ruffian and a delinquent who spent his days leisurely around Inazuma City with some other guys he called his gang or something. A few others, who seemed to have been aided by the Alpha in the past, claimed Itto was harmless and just wanted to have a good life for himself and the members of the Arataki Gang. Apparently, sometimes he even played games with the kids in the city and entertained them with stuff like card games and beetle fights, where the prize for the winner were stuff like small trinkets or sweets.
And he even took them seriously so the kids wouldn’t feel like he’s going easy on them, bless him.
One elderly man from the outskirts of the main city in Narukami island told Gorou that Itto was usually seen around the city itself or on Yashiori island from time to time, much to the Shiba’s relief since he finally got proper directions instead of vague hints for a change.
That’s how Gorou found himself in the middle of the city that day, with a very excited and happy Itto greeting him with his mouth full of noodles.
“Ah, uh… I just came by t-to buy some supplies, nothing more.” The Shiba muttered, scratching the back of his head a bit awkwardly as he averted his gaze at his own dumb excuse. He was wearing his patches that day, and the other men who were with Itto at Shimura’s perked up curiously when the puppy spoke to their boss.
“Even so, it’s nice to see you again! Ah, one sec-” Itto said, properly swallowing his food and getting up from his seat, walking over to Gorou. “Mind if I tag along? It would do me good to stretch my legs.”
One of the guys at the restaurant huffed, “But boss, you promised to have a meal with us! We-” He protested, but the other two, who seemed to have caught on to what was happening with their leader, bonked the man on the head to make him shut up.
Itto apologized, but before he could try to say anything else, his boys shooed him away and sent him off with Gorou, not even letting the puppy say a word either.
So for the rest of the day, Gorou walked around the city with Itto, getting to learn more about the Oni just as the man learned a bit more about him too, in return.
Even if he wanted to deny it turned into a date, Gorou couldn’t, really.
His heart was fluttering in that weird way again.
From that day forward, the general and the Oni started going out together more often than before.
Itto was really just as sweet and kind hearted as Gorou heard. The Oni, despite not having much Mora to his name since he took odd jobs here and there from time to time, often offered to get the Shiba a sweet treat or two whenever they hung out, and he always made sure any pesky Alphas who’d try to come close would be driven off promptly before they could interrupt their outing. Itto brought by little trinkets as gifts for the puppy, and he tried doing small, innocent flirts here and there even if they ended up failing most of the time in a way that was almost endearing.
Gorou even got to witness one of Itto’s beetle fighting matches with the kids in the city, and honestly, his heart was full of warmth as he saw the genuine care the Oni showed the little ones.
The more time they spent together, the more the Shiba grew convinced that Itto was the Alpha he had been looking for all this time.
It was about two, three months later that Gorou finally couldn’t take this dancing around each other any further. His inner Omega, which had grown really rowdy over the past months he spent in Itto’s presence, was screaming at him to submit and allow the Alpha to make him his own, even if Gorou was still clinging to that small dose of stubbornness and pride he didn’t seem able to let go of at all.
Itto never rushed things, however. Even if he was an impulsive and easy-to-trigger kind of guy, he never did anything Gorou didn’t want him to do, and the farthest they ever got was kissing a few times on their latest date about a week before. Gorou got caught up in some work Kokomi assigned to him back at home, so he didn’t get to travel to Narukami for a while.
It was safe to say his frustrations grew in that time the two of them were separated.
Sure, Gorou never actually had sex with anyone before. At best, he only played with himself when he had heats too intense and hard to bear without it. He could only dream about what it would be like to have an Alpha who would sate his urges, a big one who would be able to quench the intense heat burning deep inside his core and breed him until he wouldn’t have to worry about anything, only able to think about what was happening right there and then.
But now, such opportunity was right there, in front of him, in the form of the man he actually ended up falling for.
All the Shiba needed to do was ask for it properly, and he knew Itto would help.
The general knew that what he was doing was a bit (or maybe more than a bit) unfair towards the Oni, however. He hasn’t visited in a while, and even if he got the time to do so now, he was actually waiting for a little longer since he knew what was to come.
Gorou was waiting for his heat to start. Once it was right there, about to explode and make a mess of his rational mind, he was going to see Itto and mate with him like he wished to.
Like how both of them wished to .
The wait was truly gruesome. Gorou didn’t even realize just how much he was actually missing his lover, and he could feel a dull, soft ache in his heart whenever he thought about the Oni even for a moment. He tried busying himself with small activities, such as reading or training to keep his mind away from those thoughts.
It never worked.
He really was hopeless.
Finally, half a week later, the heat the Shiba was waiting for started showing its early signs. He took his leave the moment he felt the familiar tingles inside him, and he didn’t even get to offer Kokomi or the others an explanation before hastily making his way towards Narukami island.
However, once he reached the border with Yashiro island, the puppy noticed his Oni’s scent close. Seems like today, Itto was at his home with Granny Oni instead of out and about in the city.
But… His scent seemed slightly sour aside from the familiar spiciness. Sad, even.
It didn’t sit well with Gorou at all.
The Shiba made his way towards the small house, taking in the scenery first. The building was in a pretty good condition, which was unexpected since only Granny Oni and Itto lived in it. Then again, the Oni himself probably helped out a lot with renovations since he often mentioned how much he respected and appreciated Granny Oni for taking him in.
Once he got to the front of the house, Gorou swallowed the lump he felt forming in his throat. He wasn’t really sure why he felt so nervous, but it was as if his entire body was drawn tight with tension. It wasn’t like Itto would try to hurt him or anything because he didn’t see him in a while, so what was he so afraid of? The Oni being mad at him? Something unexpected occurring?
…Rejection?
Taking a deep breath, the Shiba finally steeled his nerves, knocking gently on the door a couple of times. He couldn’t feel any other scent in the house aside from Itto’s overpowering Alpha fragrance, so he assumed Granny Oni was some sort of Beta, or maybe she just wasn’t home to begin with.
Seeing as how there was no answer at first, Gorou tried again, his knocks a bit more powerful. A few moments passed, and the door finally creaked open slowly, revealing a sleepy Itto with unkempt, fluffy hair who seemed like he just woke up from a nap.
Once his red eyes met with the image of his lover, Itto’s expression brightened, and he smiled happily as he opened the door wide and immediately pulled Gorou into a warm bear hug.
“Lil pup~!!” The Oni purred, Gorou flushing as he let him hold him close. The Shiba wasn’t sure what he expected when he came by, really, but seeing as how Itto didn’t seem angry at him, he could feel a portion of the tension in his body easily seeping away as he relaxed against the Alpha instead. “You’ve been gone so long, I was really worried you got into trouble or something… Are you alright?”
Gorou cleared his throat once Itto finally put him down, still flushed and a tad embarrassed by how easily the bigger man lifted him with that hug. He motioned Itto that they should head inside first, and even if the Alpha wasn’t sure what the Omega wanted, he went along with it and closed the door behind them, watching as Gorou sighed softly and let his shoulders slump.
“I’m sorry, Itto.” The Shiba started, turning to face the taller man, expression genuinely apologetic. His ears lowered as he looked at him, making Itto raise an eyebrow in question, as if he was indirectly asking him to go on and explain what he meant. “I wanted to say sorry for not coming by for a while. I know you were, w-well… eager to see me again, but I received orders from Her Excellency and I couldn’t arrive until now.”
Itto shrugged, “I kinda figured. I’m just really happy to see you’re fine, puppy~” He smiled, and his genuine nature really made Gorou want to tear up at how sweet the Oni could be.
The Shiba cleared his throat awkwardly again, and after taking a small look around the place, he decided he didn’t want to lose any more time than he already did. “Is, uh… Is Granny around?” Gorou asked, averting his gaze when Itto threw him a confused look.
“Eh? No, she’s out taking care of the kiddos. Y’know how they get, haha~ They’re quite a handful, but I kinda felt like napping so Granny offered to take them to the city instead and spend the day there so I could get some shut eye.” The Oni explained. “They’re probably gonna be back in the evening though. Did ya need anything from her?”
The general shook his head. “N-No, no! It’s just-” He wanted to say, but now that he was face to face with Itto, it felt much harder than usual to get the words out as intended.
After all, how could Gorou even step on his pride and tell his lover he wants to mate?
It would honestly be too embarrassing.
Itto scratched the back of his head a bit as he waited for Gorou’s answer, but he didn’t fail to notice the sweet tinge in the scent the puppy had on him. It made something inside him twist and turn, writhe with the desire to get closer to the source. The Oni reined that desire in for now, just waiting for Gorou to explain what happened, and yet…
He took one step closer, as if pulled by invisible strings.
Gorou shuddered.
“Gorou… Come on, you can tell me what’s up. If there’s something I can help with, you know I will!” Itto smiled, trying to reassure the Shiba.
Gorou sighed, and instead of trying to get his words out, he decided actions would scream his intent much louder. Walking forward after he dropped the bag he brought with him (which held a few supplies for the next few days he planned on staying over), the puppy tiptoed and wrapped his arms around Itto’s neck, tugging the Oni down into a deep, heated kiss.
Itto was taken aback, truly. He knew Gorou liked taking the initiative at times, and while he found it really hot, his inner Alpha was mildly displeased. Snapping out of his little shock, the Oni placed his hands on Gorou’s small waist, eyes closing as he pulled the canine closer, marveling at how nicely the smaller’s waist fit in his large hands.
Once it seemed like he had his fill, Gorou pulled back, flushed and panting softly, lips glistening with saliva from the messy kiss. His eyes were a bit hooded, and his expression seemed frustrated, much to Itto’s continued confusion as that sweet scent flared and escaped one of Gorou’s concealer patches.
“D-Dumbass…” Gorou grumbled, tail whipping at his back even if he didn’t make any moves to pull away from the Alpha (who was making an expression like that akin to a kicked puppy). “I… My heat… Y-You know…” He muttered, in a tone barely audible if Itto wasn’t doing his best to listen to every single syllable that left the Omega’s pretty mouth.
That’s when it finally dawned on the Oni.
Gorou came here to spend his heat with him.
“A-Ah… Well, puppy, y’see, it’s uh… How do I say this…” Itto muttered awkwardly, unsure of how to explain the situation better. He was flushed and his pupils were slightly sharper than usual. “This might.. not really be the best moment, haha…?”
And that’s when Gorou also seemed to come to a realization.
Itto’s scent seemed much spicier than usual, and his senses were sharper than before.
The Oni was about to have a rut… So he lied about why Granny Oni wasn’t in the house.
Instead of taking his leave before it was too late, Gorou sighed deeply in frustration again and raised his hand, bonking Itto on the head a bit, right between his horns. The Oni whined at the impact, not understanding why the Shiba hit him to begin with, until the general huffed and put his hands on his hips as he frowned deeply up at him.
“If I didn’t want to mate with you, do you think I would be here right now?”
Those words left Itto flustered and frozen stiff, and he didn’t even get to say anything before Gorou gripped the collar of his pajama shirt and dragged him all the way to his bedroom, closing the door behind the two of them and cornering the Oni against it.
For an Omega, Gorou is quite the assertive one, huh?
The general spent no time hesitating, kissing Itto deeply like earlier now that he finally got past his initial inhibitions. His decision to mate and possibly bond with the Oni was set in stone in his mind, so the fact that the other was about to have a rut as well couldn’t be any more fortunate.
Itto managed to get past his initial reluctance as he held Gorou close, growling lowly when the Shiba pushed a leg between his own. The degree of control the Omega had wasn’t sitting well with the Oni’s inner Alpha, so after letting Gorou have his fun for a moment, he suddenly flipped their positions with little to no effort, trapping the smaller man between the door and himself.
Gorou groaned in need as he let himself be touched further. The more he stayed close to Itto, the more the heat in his body burnt, sending his blood aflame as his scent flared in delight. Itto seemed displeased by the patches covering the source of that delicious, sweet odor, so after pulling away from the heated kiss he was sharing with Gorou, he easily lifted the Omega and made him wrap his legs around his waist, starting to peel away the patches with his nails carefully.
“W-Wait, that’s-!” Gorou wanted to protest, because his scent glands felt incredibly sensitive and tender after being covered up for such long periods of time. Itto didn’t listen, however, too focused on his task as he took off the patches, throwing them on the floor with the thought that he’ll just clean them up later.
Burying his nose right in the crook of Gorou’s neck, Itto took deep inhales of the sweet fragrance there, his breath against the hot skin sending shivers along Gorou’s spine. “Fuck, you smell so good, Go-chan… ♡ You’ve really been hiding this all along?” The Oni muttered, tone somehow lower than before as his rut started acting up in response to Gorou’s own heat.
Gorou’s hands found purchase on the Alpha’s strong biceps, gripping them in order to anchor himself better in reality, in a sense. He panted hotly as his heat’s effects grew stronger, and the way Itto demanded that answer only aroused him further.
“I-I had to… Nngh~! Do you… haah… r-really think my soldiers would respect me if… t-they knew I am an Omega?” The Shiba replied, his heart racing a mile a minute in his chest as he looked up at his lover. He felt like he was facing a powerful, feral beast, and the scent Itto let out was making his mind numb and his body feel like putty in the Oni’s strong hold.
The Alpha, however, didn’t seem to like that answer. Pulling back for a moment to look Gorou straight in the eye, Itto hissed softly and gripped the smaller’s hips tight, almost enough to bruise a bit. Gorou didn’t know what part exactly from what he said upset his lover, but the grip that the man had on his hips made him groan and caused his insides to burn.
“Never think lowly of yourself just cause of your alignment.” Was the first thing Itto said, red eyes almost seeming to glow in the dimly lit bedroom. “You might be an Omega, but you’re a damn strong and feisty one, Gorou. You’re born to lead, so if those dumbasses don’t follow you anymore only because of that, then it’s their fault, not yours. How many victories did you get them so far? How many times did they listen to what you said and won because of it?”
When Gorou first met Itto, he never thought the Oni might be so protective and righteous, truly. He gave the impression of an airheaded and carefree guy, if anything.
But hearing all of this… Seeing this other side of him that not many got to see…
It made the Shiba all the more delighted destiny threw someone like Itto out his way that day in the forest.
Raising his hands, Gorou cupped Itto’s cheeks and smiled softly, kissing the Alpha happily, tail thumping against the door. Itto didn’t reject it, and once Gorou pulled back, the puppy chuckled as his scent flared with joy.
“You’re really… really too kind for your own good, dummy Oni.” The general said, tears at the corners of his eyes as he pulled Itto in for another kiss right after.
He honestly couldn’t wait anymore.
As their making out grew more heated and intense, their heat/rut also increased their effects, Itto growing hungrier with the desire to breed Gorou, Gorou growing more eager at the thought of being bred. Clothes were strewn across the floor haphazardly as the two men continued kissing, tongues entwined in a passionate dance, hands exploring each other’s bodies, tracing curves, soft/scarred skin and ridges of muscle.
Gorou was absolutely lost in the need he felt burning inside him. His cock was hard and leaking copious amounts of precum where it stood trapped between his and Itto's bodies, and his entrance was soaked with slick, much more than he’d ever produced before. It’s not like Itto was faring any better, what with how hard he was and how much his scent was flaring, his eyes sharp as he kissed his way down along Gorou’s neck and chest, stopping once he reached one pink, perky nipple.
The Shiba never played with his chest much before, but the moment Itto latched onto the bud and flicked it with his tongue, sucking and rolling it between his teeth, Gorou almost had an orgasm.
That felt way, way too good.
“Ho? Your chest’s all sensitive, eh, pup~?♡” Itto teased once he pulled off for a moment, licking his fangs playfully as he looked up at the puppy. Gorou groaned in embarrassment, but he didn’t deny it since it was obvious, and the way his ears flattened and his tail continued wagging and thumping at the door was enough for the Oni to know he was very much correct.
Since he wasn’t keen on the idea of their first time happening on the damn door of his bedroom, Itto moved the two of them to his futon instead, gently laying Gorou down and eagerly crawling over him. The puppy took in a short, quick gasp at that, the sight of the Alpha above him getting him even more soaked.
However, both of them knew there were a few steps needed before the main act of the show. Itto pulled away once it dawned on his that he forgot that, and he motioned Gorou to wait while he looked in his wardrobe for a few things he wanted to use.
Gorou couldn’t help but flush and smile softly when the Oni returned with his arms full of clean sheets and some of his clothes, as well as a spare pillow. The puppy thanked him for the materials, and he quickly got to work on making a soft, comfortable nest, Itto just staring dumbfounded and seemingly fascinated from the side as the smaller man neatly arranged the sheets and clothing in whichever weird manner his inner Omega deemed fit.
Once it was done, the Alpha scratched his cheek a bit awkwardly as he murmured. “So… Can I come in?” He asked, since Granny Oni did tell him it was polite for the Alpha to ask for permission from the Omega to walk into their nest.
Gorou laughed at that, and the sound was like the most beautiful music Itto had ever heard in his life.
“Just come in and kiss me already.” He said, and that’s exactly what Itto did.
It wasn’t long until Itto was right back at work, caressing Gorou’s body, appreciating all its pretty curves and the few scars he found here and there from the puppy’s battles. Gorou was overwhelmed, almost, by the amount of care the Alpha offered him, but he’d be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy the sensation.
It was new. Unusual, in a sense, but not at all unwelcome.
And it got even better when, all of a sudden, Itto flipped him around with ease and lifted Gorou’s hips, warm, big hands (with slight callouses from using a claymore repeatedly) spreading the Shiba’s plump cheeks to expose his wet, puffy hole properly.
“D-Don’t do that, you…!” Gorou whined, embarrassment flushing over him as another wave of slick gushed out and flowed slowly down his soft thighs. Itto didn’t listen to his halfhearted protests, just carefully placing his thumbs at the rim of the small entrance, using them to tug and spread it a bit more with a small whistle leaving his lips.
“Well, this place sure likes it when I touch it, haha~ ♡ It's all twitchy, y'know? No need to be all feisty with me about it, puppy~ ” The Oni teased, spicy scent flaring with excitement as he playfully kneaded the plump flesh of Gorou’s ass in his hands, earning more whimpers and small moans from the needy Omega.
Itto repeated the motion a few times, just watching with a lustful gaze and his fangs nibbling on his bottom lip as Gorou’s eager hole was twitching whenever he spread it a bit, leaking more slick due to the heat burning in the Shiba’s belly. Once he snapped out of whatever trance he was stuck in for a moment, the Alpha bowed down, and before Gorou could even think about complaining, Itto’s hot tongue slowly licked a long stripe from the middle of the puppy’s left inner thigh all the way over his cute balls, perineum and right over his puckered entrance.
Just as Itto expected, the slick was just as sweet as the rest of Gorou.
“Now I get why those Alphas I met a while back said it was great to have a taste of an Omega…~♡” Itto muttered, satisfied with the taste lingering on his tongue, Gorou moaning beneath him as his fluffy, cute tail stayed raised to make way for the Oni to eat him out more. “You seemed against it at first, but now you like when I lick here, huh?”
The pure embarrassment Gorou felt didn’t allow him to utter even a single word of response.
It was still a good enough reply for Itto, so of course he kept going.
Gorou felt like his mind was melting as Itto continued his relentless assault with that sinfully skilled tongue of his. The Shiba was moaning and mewling in bliss, hands clutching the sheets of the nest the two of them were in, back arched tight as he felt the tip of the Alpha’s tongue slip inside him and gently try to work him open further.
His heat was already making him loosen up, but that definitely helped.
It wasn’t until Gorou was on the verge of crying from need that Itto finally took pity on him, shifting his position and bowing over the puppy’s back. His fingers massaged Gorou’s entrance carefully, little tremors wracking Gorou’s sensitive body at the action, the puppy moaning again as his ears flattened in what seemed to be submission to his Alpha.
The Oni was diligent in how he fingered him open, and even if Gorou was wound up tight like the string of his bow when he shot his arrows on the battlefield, he wasn’t allowed to reach his climax just yet. Itto probably wanted him to come only once the Alpha pushed inside.
Once it seemed like the taller finally deemed him ready, Gorou shifted his position just a bit, pressing his legs together, his cock slightly trapped between them as he kept his hips raised. The way his instincts meddled with his mind made him swing his hips slightly just like a bitch in heat, his heart racing as his eyes were unfocused and glazed over with tears.
“Look at you, pup…~ You’re so cute, shaking your hips for me, haha~ ♡ ” Itto murmured teasingly against Gorou’s fluffy dog ear, mouthing a bit at the edge of it, making the canine shudder as his hands moved to grip his own asscheeks and spread them a bit to expose himself.
Gorou has never been this shameless in his entire goddamn life.
But even if he stepped all over his pride and trampled it to be an absolute whore for his Alpha during this heat, he didn’t have any regrets about it.
Itto gladly took the invitation his lover offered him, lining his spiky, hard length up with the soaked entrance eagerly awaiting for him. His strong forearms laid at Gorou’s sides, caging the puppy and covering him with Itto’s strong body properly as he downright mounted him, the position earning an eager keen from the smaller man who felt like he’ll lose his mind if the Alpha doesn’t push in already.
Instead of denying the both of them their much-awaited bliss, Itto slowly slipped his cock inside, both him and Gorou moaning in unison at the relief that single action brought.
The puppy even came once it settled inside him all the way to the hilt.
“God, you’re so tight…~!♡” Itto groaned as he panted against Gorou’s ear, the puppy moaning shamelessly as he pushed his hips back against the Oni’s own, seeking more friction. Gorou made a mess with his come on the sheets below, but he couldn’t care less as Itto finally- finally started moving like he always wanted him to.
Their coupling was messy, heated, and absolutely feral. Gorou was unable to do anything else but moan and mewl and let out all sorts of sweet, shameless noises of bliss as Itto railed him hard and fast, the Alpha’s rut spiking up now that he was inside the Omega as intended. Their scents were intense, sweet mixing up with spicy, the fragrance combining with the odor of sex, making a cocktail of smells that really got the both of them all the more eager to continue since it was accompanied by the obscene, wet noises coming from down below.
When the knot at the base of Itto’s large girth started growing, tugging incessantly at Gorou’s puffy, abused rim, the Shiba keened high in his throat, teary-eyed as Itto’s hands covered his own, intertwining their fingers together in a very romantic manner amidst the heat of the moment. Neither managed to say anything, Itto’s hips pistoning back and forth with reckless abandon, his length throbbing eagerly as it reached so deep inside Gorou it made the puppy’s flat belly bulge just the littlest amount.
Once his knot finally grew to the max, Itto only murmured a small warning to his Omega before slamming it right in, lodging it there and connecting their hips as he came hard.
Gorou moaned so much his throat almost gave out, and the way he was getting bred full, to the point the come gushed out slightly past the knot meant to keep it in, finally started quenching the burn of his heat deep inside his body.
Itto was unable to stop purring in deep rumbles, grinding his knot inside Gorou, earning small, hot whimpers from the puppy as the Omega took in everything he was given. The general didn’t even seem to realize he came again in the middle of it, so hard he almost squirted since the pleasure was too intense.
Once they managed to get to their senses a bit more, Itto was nuzzling Gorou’s nape and kissing at the tender skin in a feather-like manner, Gorou noticing and understanding what he wanted. His inner Omega was happy to obey the Alpha’s wish, so the Shiba, completely settled on his decision to be Itto’s from then on, tilted his head forward slightly, a wordless gesture for the Alpha to understand he was allowed to proceed as he saw fit.
Itto flushed at that acceptance, so joyous about it his purrs wouldn’t stop even for a moment, but instead of ruining the atmosphere with any sort of witty, unnecessary comment, he leaned down and bit hard into Gorou’s nape, fangs sinking into the flesh and earning a hiss of pain from the Omega as tears flooded his eyes at the sensation.
Itto claimed him as his own. It hurt, but the pain would only be for a moment.
Once that was done with, the Oni licked the wound he left behind gently, as if trying to dull the pain of the bite, earning soft, small purrs of appreciation from Gorou. The puppy was happy to be pampered by his lo- his mate , and he even let Itto thoroughly scent him while they waited for the knot to come down so they’d have another go.
Gorou was a happy little mess once he was allowed to bite Itto as well, and since both his heat and Itto’s rut were going on strong, they both knew they wouldn’t get out of this with merely just one round. Even so, they took a small break for the moment, cuddled up to one another as Itto held Gorou close to his chest, both of them softly purring at the gentleness of the moment.
“I really didn’t think I’d end up as your mate… Back then, when I stumbled over you in the woods.” Gorou found himself muttering, tracing idle patterns on Itto’s broad chest with his index finger as they cuddled.
Itto laughed heartily, the sound so bright and lovely it made Gorou’s heart flutter. “Honestly, I didn’t think that either when I met a random, lost pup in the woods, y’know? Plus, I scared your boar. I was pretty sure you were gonna kick my sorry ass for it.” The Oni hummed, making Gorou roll his eyes as he playfully punched the Alpha’s shoulder.
For all the crap people give him, Itto is actually a wonderful guy, at least in Gorou’s vision. The puppy couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at his mate’s silly behavior, before he smiled warmly and kissed Itto’s cheeks, tail wagging and thumping against the sheets.
“I’m really… really glad you turned out to be the one for me, Itto.” He admitted, for once being soft enough to actually be honest with his feelings.
And the way he said it definitely got the Oni to smile bright like the sun once again.
