A soft, warm light spills through the curtains, signalling the start of the day for Theodorus. The only problem in the art dealer’s way, which was a very common occurrence for him, was he sandwiched between his two lovers. Although the man loved to complain about his two companions, they filled a void in his soul, something he didn’t even realise he had. Theo gently opened his eyes to adjust to the lighting of MC’s room. It was then that he realised just how difficult this was going to be.
Theodorus was a hard worker, up at the crack of dawn and usually not back at the mansion until the sun was just setting over the hills. “Art doesn’t deal itself” is something that can be uttered from the man when asked about his long working hours. His partners were defiantly the opposite of Theo. Night owls, who preferred to spend half the day asleep and awake half the night.
Theo sighed softly at his current predicament. Arthur, his boyfriend, had himself curled up against Theo’s right side, one leg intertwined and using his arm as a pillow. MC had her head on Theo’s chest with her leg intertwined with his other one. They were both sleeping peacefully, their chests rising and falling together. Theo couldn’t help but smile to himself, he really did have it all didn’t he?
Although he didn’t wish to disturb his sleeping beauties, Theo had a very important meeting to attend to first thing in the morning, a meeting he had been playing for months. He gently starts to move his right arm from under Arthur’s head, making sure to use gentle movements. After finally being able to free himself, he lovingly strokes his boyfriend’s hair and places and gentle kiss to the back of his head while slowly unwrapping their legs.
Arthur slowly starts to stir at Theo’s movements, slowly blinking and whining slightly at the loss of warm provided by Theo. “Shhh Arthur it’s okay”, he places 3 small kisses to his forehead before shifting his attention to moving himself from MC. He freed his other leg before painstakingly sitting up and slowly sliding MC off his chest. He runs his fingers against her cheek and places 3 kisses against her forehead, before slowly scooching down the bed and standing up.
Theo quickly gets changed into his clothes for the day before hastily moving towards the door. Just as Theo is about to close the door he looks back over his partners. Mc and Arthur have closed the gap left by Theo, holding each other tight. Theo looks over them in adoration and smiles. He hurriedly moves towards the bed, putting his knee on the bed to lean over to give them both one last kiss.
Suddenly, Theo his grabbed by two pairs of hands and brought crashing back down into the bed. Arthur and MC giggle wildly at their boyfriend as he attempts to re-orientate himself. “You two are the worst, you know that” Theo says, finally able to get up off Mc and Arthur. “It was her idea”, Arthur points to MC, trying to pass the blame. MC shakes her head “It was not”. “Listen, I don’t have time for your games, I have an important meeting I’m going to be late for” Theo states before standing up off the bed.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?” MC asks as he head towards the door. Theo stops mid track and turns around, once again returning to the bed. He leans towards Arthur, kissing him passionately before doing the exact same to MC. “I love you both okay?”. “We love you too Theo”. “Good, now go back to sleep” he says, finally opening the door. He watches them both snuggle back down and close their eyes before shutting the door behind him.
Theo really was the luckiest guy in the world.
