Chapter Text

It had been a good five years since the defeat of Gravity Falls' worst enemy. Things went back to their normal amount of weirdness and people embraced it as the years passed. All accept one, Dipper Pines. Certain memories came flooding back to him in waves, some familiar and others he couldn't begin to describe. He feels as though this may be some sort of premonition.

They have been becoming more and more intense in the weeks prior... Startled as he sat up in his bed he could have sworn he heard something. He scans the darkness of his room for anything out of the ordinary. He had taken the responsibility of the Mystery Shack since he had come of age. His room definitely hadn't changed all that much either. He sighs in relief, "must have just been a nightmare". He thought to himself as he laid back down and got comfy under the covers.

Then, a sound hit his ears. Not fully awake, he spun his head around to meet the noise. "Or was it '', a voice chimes before he can blink the tiredness out of his eyes. There he was, just floating there, that yellow terrifyingly familiar shape. He shook his head, any moment he'd snap out of it. This was just one of his visions again, nothing he couldn't handle. Dipper closed his eyes tightly, stealing a moment to himself to slow his own breathing; a technique he'd learned in therapy. "I want to make a deal with you Pine-Tree ''. His words were crisp and clear like the racking of nails on a chalkboard.

The young boy only grew increasingly uncomfortable. Dipper could have easily denied it all away until he felt a weight on the bed. His eyes bolted open and panic rose within him. This couldn't be this -- "I've been thinking, we've worked against each other all this time. And I think I've come to my senses, Pines.-" Bill's voice echoes in the room as Dipper shrinks into the back of his headboard. The weight on the bed had been from one of the demon's hands morphing into a dark oblong arm with claws, his other arm following suit. Both inching closer to the boy yet still hovering over him. The creature continues to transform before his very eyes creating a sort of body for itself.

"We should work together". As those last words hang in the air Dipper looks up to find Bill with a complete change of form. A humanoid figure nonetheless, slender, decked in yellow, crudely dapper. The slits of his eyes staring at him in the darkness. Though different in appearance, this entity was definitely still Bill. That was undeniable.

"H-how are you even alive", Dipper manages to stammer out in complete awe and fear at the same moment. the humanoid above him smirks, contorting in the air.

"I have my ways~ You couldn't get rid of me forever. I do have to say, you gave me a scare for a minute there." The demons' pointy teeth bare a grin at the boy as he moves the little floating hat from behind his head. Something boils deep inside Dipper.

"Leave me and my family alone! I swear if you come around here and try to----". A tutting noise cuts off the brunette.

The demon waves his finger in front of the boy's face, he hushes with annoyance. "I would consider your words carefully, remember I still have plenty I could easily use against you." Bill's tone was dark and ominous, but the young boy couldn't help but stifle a chuckle. Dipper folded his arms as Bills' expression turned to that of a confused irritation.

"Or what Bill? Honestly, now you've got me curious. You have, nothing, on me," He said rather pointedly, staring daggers at the demon with the smuggest look creeping onto his face.

He was afraid that Bill would call his bluff seeing as he can read minds. Only this time, his face softened with a heaving sigh. Dipper leaned back nonchalantly trying his best to keep a straight face. But his facade cracked when Bill moved in the air and lowered himself to the edge of the bedside sitting down. "No...no you're right". He says looking away from the boy much to his surprise.
