Chapter Text
Y/N stepped out of her car with a stack of papers tucked neatly under her arm as she reached the Masters’ Mansion. She was annoyed to say the least as she searched for the right key on her key ring to enter the large home. She was supposed to have started her weekend by this point in time. However, due to her boss leaving behind several contracts at the office she was now dropping them off at his house. Y/N had started working as Mr. Masters’ personal assistant several years back as a temporary position. It quickly became permanent when the board of directors came to realize that she had the ability to reel Vlad in from his personal projects long enough to get actual work done as well as be able to handle his so-called… difficult personality.
As Y/N entered the mansion she was immediately greeted by a curious white feline who weaved her way through Y/N legs. “Hello Maddie is your daddy home?” she asked as she bent down to pet the cat, who let out a loud purr in return. “Mr Masters, are you home?” Y/N hollered, her voice echoing throughout the empty halls. Y/N heard footsteps as well as a series of agitated murmurs that she couldn’t quite understand as her boss made his way to the front lobby.
“Y/N.” He greeted though his voice was laced with obvious irritation. “What brings you to my home unannounced?” Y/N let out a huff through her nose as she held out the files to him. He’s annoyed with her? How typical.
“Both the receptionist and I tried to call you sir but you never answered. I suppose you were busy.” She began to explain in a diplomatic tone. “ You left these contracts at work, they need to be looked over and signed by Monday for the meeting with the investors.” Vlad took the files and made his way over to the couch that sat in the living room. He quickly browsed through the files before haphazardly tossing them onto a nearby coffee table.
“I thought that the board and I came to an agreement that the weekend is my time to do with as I see fit. Not to do paperwork that could have been done on Monday morning.”
“Yes well sir that may be true but the meeting has been rescheduled for first thing in the morning on account of Mr. Harriman receiving a last minute medical appointment.” She informed him. “But to be quite honest sir one would expect that being not only mayor of a city but also the CEO of a multinational company would lead to some possible overtime.” She could not help herself, he had left her such a nice window of opportunity to sass him and in return she received a pointed glare.
“Maddie!” Vlad called out before a virtual woman popped up beside him.
“Yes Vlad?” The red haired virtual woman asked ever so sweetly as her eyes literally twinkled in anticipation. Y/N recognized the woman as a replica of one Mrs. Maddie Fenton. Apparently she and her husband were college friends of Vlad though the man seemed to have much more affection for the woman rather than Mr. Fenton. It was quite obvious to anyone with a brain that Vlad was a little… fixated on the woman if the cat and the replica wasn’t evidence enough. But, for some reason that she could not understand Mr. Fenton seemed more than happy to allow Vlad to hang around his wife.
“Dearest, please bring up my schedule for this weekend.” Virtual Maddie answered with an enthusiastic of course before bringing up an hour by hour schedule. “Wine.” Vlad flipintly demanded as he held out his hand in midair, not even sparing a glance toward his flesh and blood assistant. Y/N gave Vlad an owlish blink and stuck out her tongue as a small action of defiance before making her way towards the kitchen where she found a half-drunk bottle of pinot noir and a clean wine glass. Y/N considered taking a nice long swig of the drink as she poured the red liquid into the clear glass but decided against it as she made her way back to the man.
She carefully placed the glass into Vlad’s hand and received a stiff thank you in response. Vlad swirled the wine in the glass a couple of times before taking a few sips. Vlad let out a sigh of satisfaction once the wine hit his tongue and Y/N could visually see his shoulders relaxing in the process. “If I may say sir. You seem more stressed than usual.” Vlad gave Y/N a grunt in reply and waved his free hand to indicate for her to continue her thought. “I was just thinking that maybe you should consider taking up a hobby.”
“I have hobbies.” He responded indignantly.
“Well maybe you need hobbies that don’t involve the paranormal… or the Fenton family.” She mumbled the last part under her breath though from the way his back straightened she might not have been as quiet as she thought. “I used to swim back in my highschool days, it was quite the relaxing pastime. Very zen.” Y/N did not receive an answer but was instead left completely ignored.
“Maddie please pencil in a slot for Sunday evening.” Virtual Maddie went about adjusting the schedule before disappearing as Vlad rose from his seated position. “Now if that is all I will ask for you to leave.”
“Yes of course.” Y/N replied as Vlad hurriedly escorted her out of his home. “ Good bye sir, I hope you have a good weekend.” Vlad gave her a nod of acknowledgement before closing the door on her face. As she made her way to her car she gave one last look at the mansion before letting out a sardonic laugh. “And people call him an asshole.” And so with that she drove off happy to forget about Vlad Masters until she had to see him again.

Desiree let out an exhilarated laugh as she flew through the skies of Amity Park. She felt a true sense of freedom as she looked down at the city lights beneath her wondering what kind of chaos she could cause for the little people below. Spending so much time in the ghost zone had caused an itch for some excitement to grow within her driving her deep desire to start granting wishes immediately. She knew from experience however, that she had to be patient and do something about the annoying little ghost boy before she could have her fun. She had to keep the boy preoccupied. She didn’t know what she was going to do yet but whatever it was, it was going to be fun.
