Sato had been working diligently to get to this goal in the investigation into Tozawa
He’d gain the trust of ishida after putting his life on the line for him slowly working his way up to becoming the oyabuns right hand man
Sato kept the undercover cop part of his life a secret he’d never told anyone except till now
If anyone found out that Sato was working for the feds he’d be lying somewhere under a ditch
“Look I’m on the same side you’re on”Sato had told his boyfriend
“You want to take him down too?“Jake had asked him
“Hes part of the reason I lost my aniki”Sato revealed to Jake
“You never told me that part”Jake replied
“How did you end up becoming a Yakuza?”Jake asked him out of pure curiosity
Satos figured now was a better time than ever to come clean about his past “It’s a long story …I don’t want to bore you with all the details”
Jake judges his arm a bit “Try me”
“I’m a detective and I’m deep undercover”Sato told him unable to hold it in any longer
Silence filed the air once the revelation came out
This was something newly emerging that had the power to change their relationship for better for or worse
“You’re a cop?”Jake asked him incredulously
Sato nodded at him and slowly whispered “I know not as much fun as my current gig but I’ve kept a good job of hiding it till now”
Jake came over to hug him “It mustn’t have been that easy for you to be hidings such a huge secret like this”
“You took this news a whole lot better than I thought you would”Sato was hesitant to reveal his past to his boyfriend
Jake squeezed his hand to reassure him “I wouldn’t leave you because you had to lie to protect your life and safety”
“You’re an angel”Sato remarked leaning forward to kiss his boyfriend
“Thanks for trusting me with your deepest and darkest secret”Jake says to him
Sato smiled as he spoke “Of Course I’d trust you”
Jake continued to hold onto him embracing him in a warm hug which relaxed his companion
“You’re cuddly”Sato chuckled a bit while enjoying the sudden familiarity of his touch
