Love At First Bite

Summary:

Seokjin is a vampire who is into K-dramas and the latest kitchen appliances even if he absolutely can't stand technology. (or he's probably still in denial.)

One day, a newly turned vampire joins his coven. He teaches him the ropes, introducing him to the 'vampire way of living', gradually getting to know him.

Seokjin's beyond endeared, but will he ever act upon his feelings? And Taehyung, Taehyung is beyond endearing, thus complicating things.

Or

Taejin vampire au because I suck at summaries.

Work Text:

BTS: The most well-known and dominant coven that humans either feared or worshipped, nothing else in between. Much to Seokjin’s dismay, the acronym stood for Blood Thirsty Suckers, Seokjin being the Grand Elder of the coven initially wanted something with a profound meaning like Bangtan Sonyeondan, which Jungkook refuted by saying, “What? That’s not cool, we’re vampires, hyung.”

After spending weeks arguing about it, Jungkook interrupting his k-drama binge watch sessions, he relented, no longer able to refuse the youngest member’s pleas, eventually giving in to Jungkook’s requests. He had a soft spot for each member of the coven, treating them like his own flesh and blood, that and he wanted to watch his dramas in peace.

Seokjin took the liberty of building a mansion situated in the countryside, miles away from the city, preferring the calm and serene atmosphere over the hustle and bustle of the city life. Being a centenarian had it’s perks, when you have lived as long as Seokjin did, you tend to pick up various life skills, try out different jobs, and your bank account inflates along with it. His bank account accumulated enough money that he didn’t need to work for at least another 200 years, although his mansion was anything but modest, boasting 25 fully furnished bedrooms scattered across five separate floors, a theatre, a basketball court, a heated indoor pool as well as an outdoor one, a massive garden and lastly, a grand ballroom, Seokjin still preferred to live a somewhat simple life.

Jungkook constantly teased him for being a cheapskate, to which he would retort by claiming that it didn’t hurt to be practical, why blow your money on unnecessary material things when he could choose to spend it wisely and not work for another 500 years instead.

Their coven was composed of 6 vampires, being a tightly-knit family, bound by their loyalty to one another, if you weren’t part of the coven, then you couldn’t be trusted, it was as simple as that. Rather than existing on their own, they found a sense of contentment within the coven, choosing to stick together instead.

Seokjin assumed that their headcount would halt at five, but that assumption quickly went down the drain when the two youngest members of the coven brought a newly turned vampire back to their mansion one day.

He hesitantly stepped foot inside the mansion, admiring the gothic structure and how the luxurious furniture still managed to give off a homey atmosphere. The two young vampires who rescued him, urged him to enter, reassuring him that it was fine, and that they were sure that their grand elder would welcome him with open arms, convincing him.

Taehyung skeptically examined his surroundings, still getting used to his newly heightened senses. He whispered loud enough for the both of them to hear him. “Are you guys sure this is okay? What if he’ll hate me once he sees me and decides to throw garlic at me?”

His question resulted in Jungkook howling with laughter, and Jimin sending him an unamused stare. “You don’t really believe that garlic myth, do you?” Jimin asked.

“Is it not true? But one time I watched this movie and..” Taehyung stated before he was interrupted by Jimin.

“..And it’s bullshit. Garlic doesn’t affect vampires in any way.” He explained.

Taehyung giggled upon the realization. “Thank goodness. I add garlic powder to almost everything. It’s a game changer, trust me.”

Before they could continue their conversation, Seokjin slowly descended upon the stairs, making his presence known as he purposely stomped on each step, alerting them that he was present.

Jungkook rolled his eyes. “Always so dramatic, hyung. Remember the guy we told you about? The newly turned one? This is him. Taehyung this is our grand elder, Seokjin hyung..” Jungkook’s voice started to fade into the distance as Seokjin took in Taehyung’s appearance. He had been around for almost 109 years, coming across probably millions of people in his lifetime, but no one could ever hold a candle next to this Taehyung fellow. Seokjin was partially convinced that he was a god among men or something along those lines, because who the hell looks like that?

If Seokjin was still human, his heart would have stopped beating by now or his lungs would have gave out. The attraction was that powerful. Since he was obviously no longer human, he discreetly pinched his leg instead, a strange habit of his, whenever he felt like he was about to feel flustered or embarrassed, he pinched his outer thigh to compose himself again, he honestly wasn’t sure what the logic was behind his odd habit, but hey, it worked so he wasn’t complaining.

Once he saw Jungkook furrowing his brows, noticing something erratic regarding Seokjin’s behavior, he realized that he wasn’t said anything in return, couldn’t even recall what Jungkook was previously saying.

He languidly made his way down the foot of the stairs, walking towards the trio, plastering his dazzling smile that has charmed thousands of victims over the years. “Hi. I’m Seokjin, you can call me hyung. I’ve heard all about you from these two brats. You’ll be joining our coven, I presume?”

Taehyung glanced over to Jimin, then at Jungkook, both of them nodding, encouraging him to continue. He cleared his throat as he spoke. “Um, yes? I hope so? I mean, I’d like to.. if you’ll have me.”  Taehyung was fiddling with the hem of his shirt, visibly nervous.

Seokjin wanted to internally scream, it was already unfair that he was seemingly sculpted by the gods, but did he have to be unreasonably adorable as well? He pinched his thigh again, clearing his throat. “Of course I’ll accept you. If these two can vouch for you, then I’m sold. I trust them enough. Welcome to our little family, Taehyung. If you need anything, anything at all, do not hesitate to speak to me about it.” He sweetly smiled at Taehyung, to his surprise, Taehyung grinned back, catching him off guard.

If Seokjin was a teensy bit attracted before, Taehyung’s smile completely enchanted him.

“Thank you, hyung. I really appreciate it. I think this new.. adjustment will be good for me. I like it already.” Taehyung stated before Jungkook and Jimin dragged him away, excited to show him to his new room.

Seokjin watched them as they headed up the stairs and towards the left wing where..

Wait. The left wing? Surely those brats wouldn’t..

Seokjin’s room was located on the left wing, while the others stayed at the right wing, there were multiple vacant rooms yet the 4 of them requested to stay together in one wing, giving Seokjin enough space and privacy on the opposite wing. Maybe Seokjin was overthinking things, maybe they just wanted to give Taehyung a tour of the mansion.

Yeah, that was probably it.

Seokjin headed towards the kitchen area to start preparing for dinner. Although human food did not satiate their hunger, they collectively enjoyed consuming it anyway. They still needed human blood to survive, and Hoseok being the busybody that he is, bought a hospital wherein they would occasionally collect blood donations and drink those to quench their thirst. It was a smart and efficient way to survive, Seokjin was an elder who upheld righteous principles, he didn’t see the appeal of resorting to old fashioned and barbaric ways of feeding, which was attacking humans and drinking their blood.

Why go through all that trouble when they could indulge themselves  with blood that was willingly donated? Well, it wasn’t donated to them directly, but rather to Hoseok’s hospital, but the donors didn’t need to know that.

Much like how they didn’t need to discover the existence of vampires, giving them the freedom to mingle among humans. Seokjin was never really interested in doing so, but the others were, and he respected them enough to let them live however they wanted to, as long as they weren’t harming anybody, then he didn’t mind.

Seokjin was in the mood for Japanese food, wondering if Taehyung would enjoy it as well. He unintentionally went overboard and cooked way too much food, it looked like a feast for a small village rather than a simple dinner prepared for 6 vampires who didn’t need food to survive. Sighing, concluding that there was nothing else he could do about it, he called the others, informing them that dinner was ready.

Yoongi was the first to arrive, eyes widening at the massive display of food. “Are we having guests or..” He asked.

“No. I went a bit overboard today, my thoughts were a little.. preoccupied.” Seokjin admitted, as he neatly continued to place cutlery and set the napkins on the table. Over the years, he grew fascinated with the many different kinds of table settings, collecting a huge amount of miscellaneous tableware. Plates, cutlery, napkins, place mats, you name it, he probably has it.

“Quite a feast. So, have you met the new kid?” Yoongi asked, his eyes were busy scanning the table, deciding on what to eat first.

“Mhmm. Seems like a good kid. He’ll probably need some time to get used to this whole new lifestyle.” Seokjin responded, finally satisfied with his table setting for the night, pleased with himself for finding the perfect coasters to match the new glasses he bought.

“Speaking of, they’ll be coming in 3, 2..” Yoongi muttered.

“1. We’re here! Wow. You’re about to give Gordon Ramsay a run for his money, hyung.” Jimin exclaimed as he happily skipped to the table, admiring the various dishes on the table. Jungkook and Taehyung followed closely behind, giggling as they were engaged in  a interesting conversation.

Seokjin sat at the head of the table with Yoongi to his left, Jimin occupied the seat beside Yoongi, as Jungkook was about to take his seat on Seokjin’s right side, he had a mischievous look in his eye, momentarily sparing a glance towards Seokjin, before asking Taehyung to switch seats with him instead, to which Taehyung obliged, smiling at Seokjin as he took a seat next to him.

“This looks amazing, hyung. You made this all by yourself? You probably would’ve been a great chef in your previous human life.” Taehyung exclaimed, happily grabbing a piece of karaage from the serving dish in front of him, shutting his eyes as he savored the taste while he chewed.

“Glad you like it. I wasn’t too sure if you would like Japanese food or food in general, since you’re prone to be thirstier than usual, being a newly turned vampire and all, but don’t worry, Hoseok will be home in a few hours with blood bags to satisfy your hunger.” Seokjin explained as he fondly watched Taehyung devour the food in front of him.

Taehyung gave Seokjin a thumbs up as he chewed on gindara, earning a chuckle from Seokjin. This Taehyung kid was adorable.

Soon enough, the dining table was filled with chaos, everyone was busy exchanging details about themselves, getting to know each other while consuming good food.

Taehyung swiftly managed to win over Jungkook and Jimin in an instant, being in the same age group meant having similar interests, and by the looks of it, Yoongi as well. Yoongi was furiously blushing as Jimin bragged about Yoongi on his behalf, telling Taehyung about how skilled of a pianist Yoongi was, Taehyung giving the best reactions, drowning Yoongi in compliments.

Seokjin affectionately watched how the members of his coven were starting a new bond with Taehyung, making sure that he instantly  became comfortable around them.

Just like that, his little family grew, with the addition of Taehyung.

Taehyung insisted that he would help Seokjin out with the cleaning, discovering that Taehyung was quite persistent, not taking no as an answer. He ended up helping Seokjin clean, much to Seokjin’s protests, carefully placing every piece of tableware inside the dishwasher. Taehyung broke the silence. “So, if you don’t mind me asking, hyung. How old are you?”

“Um, turning 109 this December, if I remember correctly. I lost count after 100 to be honest.” He chuckled as he wiped the soap off the counter.

Taehyung’s eyes widened, sparkling at the notion. “Wow. That’s long. Like really, really long. How does it feel? You know, being a vampire for more than a century? Do you like it?”

“It’s okay. You get used to it, I guess. I honestly don’t remember much about my life before I turned. It’s not as lonely as it used to be, that’s for sure.” Seokjin answered, finding Taehyung cute for being so curious.

“Hmm. Maybe I’ll like it more than my previous human life then.” Taehyung softly muttered under his breath, momentarily forgetting the fact that Seokjin was a vampire, he had hypersensitivity, giving him the ability to hear better than humans could. Seokjin made a mental note to ask Jungkook more about Taehyung tomorrow, his statement got Seokjin curious about his past as a human, for now, it was almost 4 in the morning, indicating that the morning sun was making it's way soon and he should be peacefully resting before that.

“I’m going to rest soon, allow me to walk you back to your room. Although I’m not quite sure which room Jimin assigned you to, so you can lead the way.” Seokjin stated, wordlessly following Taehyung as he exited the kitchen area, ascending the stairs.

Seokjin was expecting Taehyung to make a right turn, but much to his surprise, he proceeded to turn left instead, walking past multiple doors until they reached the end of the hallway.

No way. No fucking way.

His room was directly across Seokjin’s room, causing Seokjin to swallow down a gasp that was threatening to escape his mouth.

“Um, this is my room, hyung. Jimin mentioned that yours was the one opposite of mine.” Taehyung mentioned, looking directly into Seokjin’s eyes.

“Oh. I can see that. Goodnight, Taehyung. You should get some rest as well, today has probably been overwhelming for you.” Seokjin replied.

“Not at all. I’m enjoying myself, I really am. Thank you again for welcoming me into your coven. The sun is almost up, I guess it’s time for us to rest, huh? I’ll need to get used to this. Time difference and all. Goodnight, hyung.” Taehyung shot him one last smile before entering his bedroom. If Seokjin could still breathe, he’d be left breathless by now.

Seokjin sighed as he watched Taehyung’s retreating figure, he’ll deal with this tomorrow, when the sun comes down.

The next day, Seokjin summoned Jungkook to his chambers, but not without making certain that Taehyung was still fast asleep. Jungkook plopped down on the sofa, scanning through the local channels on Seokjin’s 146” flat screen tv, something Seokjin insisted was one of the necessities and deemed it as one of the most useful human creations. “So, what’s up hyung? What did you want to talk about?” Jungkook asked while he still couldn’t settle on a particular channel that interested him.

Seokjin sat down next to him, his eyes trained on the wide screen in front of him, avoiding Jungkook’s. “Tell me about him. Why did he suddenly turn? You were the one who asked me if you could turn him into one of us, right?”

“Yeah, told Jimin hyung about it before asking for your permission. Remember the uh, fate reader guy I told you about? The one who works downtown?” Jungkook asked, also avoiding Seokjin’s gaze.

“The one you’re having intimate relations with?” Seokjin teased, cocking one eyebrow up. He enjoyed teasing Jungkook, immensely satisfied whenever he was able to get under his skin.

Jungkook’s eyes widened, quickly refuting his claims. “What? No. Uh, well, it only happened a couple of times. It was a hook up, that’s it.”

“Hmm, I don’t keep up with that many terms, but I’m presuming you enjoyed it enough to do it again, and again.” Seokjin smirked at Jungkook, who avoided him altogether by intently focusing his eyes on the screen, Seokjin was enjoying this.

“Whatever. Anyway, about Taehyung hyung.. So, Joonie hyung does the whole tarot card thing, right?”

“Oohh. So his name is Joonie. Your crush.” Seokjin continued to tease, causing Jungkook to groan out of frustration.

“Can we drop it, hyung? Anyway, I lied about going to a certain university in the city, cause it’s not like I could openly tell him that I wasn’t exactly human, so I lied. And one night, he asked me if I knew who Taehyung hyung was, telling me that he had an awful premonition.” Jungkook shut his eyes for a while, pacing himself for what he was about to tell Seokjin, and if his body language was any indication of how uncomfortable it was going to be, this was going to be bad.

“He was about to be set up, hyung. A couple of kids started bullying him, they were planning to commit arson in one of the university’s buildings and pin the blame on Taehyung, he would have been expelled and possibly end up in jail. It would ruin his future and who knows how it would affect his mental health if that happened.”

Seokjin stilled, taking in the information that was relayed to him, feeling something akin to sympathy towards Taehyung, he now understood why Jungkook and Jimin were so adamant on persuading Seokjin to allow Taehyung to enter the coven, he needed to escape. He yearned for a safe haven, and especially after hearing what he had to go through, Seokjin was more than willing to provide that for him.

“That’s..” Seokjin muttered.

“Fucked up? Yeah, it really is. Events like this remind me that the human race can be cruel. So, thank you for taking him in. You practically saved his life.” Jungkook responded, eyes still focused on the screen. He was a good kid, constantly showing empathy towards others, Seokjin was secretly beaming with pride as he glanced over at Jungkook.

“I wouldn’t go that far, but I’m glad you and Jimin decided to give him an option, a way out, if you will. I can promise you one thing though, he won’t get harmed under my watch, I’ll make sure of it.” Seokjin stated, standing up to make a visit to his wine cellar, suddenly feeling parched after that heavy conversation.

As he stepped out of the door, he unexpectedly bumped into Taehyung who was standing outside, as if he was waiting for Seokjin. “Hi hyung.” Taehyung said.

“Hi. May I help you with something?” Replied Seokjin, as he noticed how Taehyung’s hair was standing up in random directions, he looked fluffy, cute.

Taehyung started fidgeting with the hem of his shirt again, probably a nervous habit of his. “Not really. Can I hang out with you a bit today? If it’s okay with you. Maybe you can help me get used to this new..  life?”

Seokjin giggled as he used his chin to point Taehyung to the direction of the stairs, signaling him to follow. “Let’s go then. You’re coming with me to the wine cellar first, then I’ll show you around the garden afterwards.”

Taehyung followed closely as they ascended the stairs, entering a small room which was climate-controlled specifically to store a myriad of wine bottles. The small room contained multiple wine racks, a wine cooler and a wine refrigerator, Taehyung assumed that Seokjin really took his wine nights seriously. He admired the endless choices of bottles displayed, some bottles were created 50 years ago. “Hyung, how old are you again? Sorry, I think I forgot.”

“Turning 109 this December. Why?” Answered Seokjin, deciding to go with a bottle of Chateau Lafite 1787.

“109??? But you like you’re in your early 20’s.” Taehyung exclaimed.

“Ah, one of the perks of being a vampire, I guess. Never aging, I’ll get to retain this handsome face forever.” Seokjin joked, opening the bottle of wine as he poured it’s contents unto two flutes, handing the other one to Taehyung, who warily scanned the glass, before wordlessly accepting it, bringing it to his lips as he tasted the mixture of black tea, crushed fig fruit, tar, laced with subtle smoke. It was good, especially if you had elegant taste buds, but Taehyung still preferred his sweet alcoholic drinks.

“Hmm. I agree, it’s a good benefit to have. Especially when one has a face like yours.” Taehyung muttered, taking another sip. Seokjin almost spat out his drink at the remark.

“Um, I think one glass is enough for today. Shall we head to the garden now?” Seokjin asked, as Taehyung gulped down the contents of his glass, placing it on top of the counter before following Seokjin outside.

They made their way to the back of the house, immediately greeted by the scenic outdoor space. Beautiful lush greenery surrounded the vast expanse of the garden, adding lots of life in contrast to the mansion’s home owners. In the middle of the field, a large ancient statue was built on top of a fountain. The view astonished Taehyung as Seokjin explained the various flowers situated along the pathway. “It’s gorgeous out here! Didn’t take you as a garden guy. You into flowers, hyung?” Taehyung asked.

“Nah, but Yoongi is and he requested for a place to tend to his flowers, so I had this place built.” Seokjin explained. Taehyung found it adorable the way Seokjin liked to come off as indifferent yet constantly displayed a soft spot for the members of his coven.

“Awww. That’s really sweet of you, you must love them a lot. I can tell.” Taehyung teased.

“Love.. is a strong word. That’s all I’m going to say regarding this matter.” Seokjin chuckled, he wasn’t good at showcasing his feelings, never was one of his strong traits.

“By the way, hyung. I’m kinda shy but let me ask anyway, could you teach me something?”

“Hmm? Anything. Don’t be embarrassed and ask away, that’s what I’m here for.” Seokjin softly smiled at Taehyung.

“Promise not to laugh?” Taehyung hesitantly asked, fluffing his bangs with his fingers.

“Ok, you have my word.” Seokjin smirked, endeared by Taehyung’s quirky yet adorable habits.

“Can you teach me how to transform into a bat?”

“A bat? Why would you want to transform into a bat when you can literally afford to buy first class tickets to fly around or take any car to..” Seokjin stated.

“Please? It’s just really cool. And I’ve always wanted to try flying.” Taehyung pleaded with his best puppy dog eyes, proving to Seokjin that it was something which he really wanted to try out.

If Seokjin was weak for the younger members of his coven, he was puny against Taehyung, never stood a fighting chance. Add in those credulous, innocent, brown eyes: Seokjin was a goner.

That day, Seokjin spent the entire evening teaching Taehyung how to properly transform into a bat, assisting him as he got used to the entire feeling of flying. Taehyung found himself freely laughing like a child enjoying himself at a playground.

While Taehyung reveled at the thrill of free falling hundreds of miles from the sky, Seokjin found himself free falling as well, but instead of free falling from the sky, he was free falling into an unknown world that only consisted of Kim Taehyung.

After countless failed attempts, Taehyung finally got the hang of it, Seokjin fondly watched him as he soared across the sky, shifting back and forth.

The sun was about to rise in a few hours, they decided to end their little flying session and head back inside the mansion. Taehyung made a sudden movement and ran behind Seokjin, embracing him from behind. “Thank you, hyung. It means a lot to me that you took the time to patiently teach me. I’m honestly not used to being shown this much kindness, so I appreciate it.”

Seokjin stood still, unmoving, he didn’t know how to deal with affection, he wasn’t used to being on the receiving nor giving end, he just was not used to affection, period. It was an overwhelmingly unfamiliar concept to him. Taehyung sensed Seokjin’s body turn frigid, he loosed his arms, and slowly let him go. “Sorry about that, hyung. Guess I got carried away. Thanks again and goodnight.” Taehyung muttered, before he could turn his back, Seokjin abruptly grabbed him by the arm. “No, no. Don’t apologize. I had fun today, Taehyung. More fun than I’ve had in a long time. Come to me anytime, if you want to learn something new, or even if you’re simply bored. Goodnight.” Seokjin briskly walked away before Taehyung could respond.

Seokjin bumped into Hoseok as he was placing blood bags inside the refrigerator. “Oh, hi hyung! Just refilling the bags. You hungry?” Hoseok smiled. “Famished.” Seokjin responded as he emptied out two blood bags in an instant.

“So, I met Taehyungie last night, he’s a really sweet kid.” Hoseok stated. “I agree, he’s nice.” Seokjin added. Hoseok quirked an eyebrow at this. “Nice? That’s it? You just think he’s nice?” The teasing tone in Hoseok’s voice was evident, he was on to something.

“Uh, what else am I supposed to say? He has cute habits.” Seokjin responded. “Cute? Did you just say cute? Oh ho, ho. Seokjinnie hyuuuuung.” Hoseok giggled as he stepped forward, inching closer to Seokjin with a huge grin on his face. “What is it? You’re acting strange today, Hobi.” Slowly backing away from Hoseok.

“Nothing. It’s just that out of all the adjectives you could have used, you picked cute to describe his habits. You never call anything or anybody cute, like, ever. Looks like hyungie’s got a little crush.” Hoseok erupted in laughter, chortling out loud, Seokjin had to shush him or else the entire household would hear about his insistent teasing, including Taehyung.

“Hoseok, you better keep your voice down. It’s not what you think.”

Maybe it was but it was something which Seokjin wasn’t willing to admit to himself yet.

“Oh? Then what is it? Why don’t you elaborate, hyung?” Hoseok challenged. Seokjin couldn’t come up with a single excuse so he did the only sensible thing to do in this dire situation,

He fled.

Seokjin was aware that Hoseok was going to endlessly tease him for it but he wasn’t in the mood to acknowledge nor deny anything. Sitting down and talking about his feelings wasn’t something he anticipated. Once he was in the confines of his own bedroom, he locked the door, ensuring that he could spend the rest of the day avoiding Hoseok.

A knock at the door after he locked it, startled him, not expecting Hoseok to chase after him so quickly. “Who is it?” Seokjin asked, ultimately deciding that if it was Hoseok, he would leave the door locked and jump out his bedroom window. After a couple of seconds passed, an unsure voice came through. “Umm.. Taehyung. If you’re busy or about to rest, I can come back tomorrow. It’s no big deal. But..” Before he could finish his sentence, the door swung open, Seokjin ushered Taehyung in, scanning the area in case Hoseok was hiding somewhere. Once he confirmed that the coast was clear, he locked the door again.

Taehyung looked puzzled, standing by the doorway. “Oh, uh, sorry about that, I’m kinda avoiding Hoseok today.” Seokjin confessed. “Really? Why?” Taehyung innocently questioned, there was no way in hell that Seokjin could admit the reason behind it. “No particular reason. So, what brings you here?” Seokjin couldn’t lie to Taehyung, his guilt would consume him, instead, he changed the subject.

Thankfully for him, Taehyung gave in to the distraction. “Oh, um, nothing really. Just felt like hanging out with you.”

“Were Jimin and Jungkook busy?” Seokjin asked, walking towards his mini cart containing a few bottles of alcohol.

Taehyung took a seat on the plush couch, feeling the velvet texture on his fingers as he examined the contents of Seokjin’s bedroom. “Oh, no, not really. Just felt like hanging out with you today.”

Seokjin’s hand froze for a bit as he was clutching a bottle in his hand, pinching his thigh with his free hand, he had to get his shit together.

“Then let’s hang out. So, any questions so far about your new life? It’s probably a huge shift for you.”

“Hmm. There is one thing that’s been plaguing my mind since I first turned.”

“Shoot. What is it?” Seokjin offered a glass of whiskey to Taehyung, to which he politely declined.

“Jimin told me a bit about it but I’m still confused. Why can’t vampires bite each other?” Seokjin almost spat out his drink for the second time that week, slightly coughing as he choked a bit on it.

“Oh, um, okay. Let me explain it as simple as possible, if a vampire sucks the blood of another vampire, then that means that they’ll be mated for life. Kind of like, being in an eternal commitment with someone.” Seokjin tried to gauge Taehyung’s reaction, but discovered that he had none. He seemed to slowly let the information sink in.

“So.. It’s like proposing and being married?” Taehyung asked, he looked so innocent that something in Seokjin wanted to corrupt him, he had to restrain himself instead.

“Uh, yeah. Kinda like that. Basically, you’ll be bound for life. No other vampire can attempt to lay a claim on your mate, unless they want to get killed.” Seokjin needed another glass, more alcohol in his system to flush out whatever embarrassment he was feeling as he continued to explain things.

Taehyung nodded his head in acknowledgement. “Oh, must be pretty special if someone wants to mark you then. Do you have a mate, hyung?”

Seokjin was definitely not ready for that question, thankful that he decided to have another glass. “What? Uh, no. Not yet, at least.”

“Really? Why? I mean, when you look the way you do, surely you’d have people lining up for you.” Taehyung muttered.

“And I do. It’s just that.. they’re not my type, I guess? I don’t know, haven’t found someone that made me second guess things.” Seokjin shrugged, feeling the bitterness of the whiskey make it’s way past his tongue.

“Hmm. What’s your type then? Now I’m curious.” His eyes contained a small glimmer as he asked.

“I.. haven’t thought about that yet. I’ll probably know when the time comes. How about you? Were you dating anyone back then?” Seokjin decided to turn the tables, genuinely curious if Taehyung was indeed dating someone before he previously turned.

“Nope.”

What? But Taehyung was.. Taehyung.

Were humans really that dumb to let a catch like Taehyung get away?

“I find that seemingly hard to believe.” Seokjin couldn’t help but retort, because it was true.

“Why?”

“Because.. look at you.” Once again, he needed to refill his glass, if liquid courage could get his words across, then he needed more.

“Ah, but somehow I wasn’t enough for people.” Taehyung spoke with such raw honesty, if Seokjin had a heart, he’d guess that it would most probably break with Taehyung’s statement. He wanted to hunt down every single person who made Taehyung feel insignificant when he deserved to shine brighter than the moon.

“Taehyung.. Someday, you’ll be more than enough for someone. I hope you know that.” Well aware that it was no longer the whiskey speaking, it was his real thoughts instead.

Taehyung let out a small smile, standing up to the couch, as he waltzed towards Seokjin, giving him a hug so warm to the touch, it felt like his porcelain skin would melt from the contact. It was warm yet he wanted to bask in it’s warmth. “Thank you, hyung. That means more to me than you know.” Taehyung softly whispered against his ear, sending shivers down his spine.

Seokjin didn’t know what took over him, that if anybody from the coven saw what he was about to do, they would probably drop dead on the spot. Uncharacteristically, he held his arms out, hugging Taehyung back. 109 years of existing, this would be the very first time he’s ever reciprocated such affection. Taehyung gently rested his head against Seokjin’s chest, inhaling the smell of strawberries laced with vanilla. “You’re skin’s so cold, hyung.”

“And yours is too warm. Are you sure you’re a vampire?”

Taehyung giggled, vibrating against Seokjin’s broad chest. “Pretty sure that I am, I guess our body temperature makes a good combination. Almost like..” He stopped mid-sentence.

“Like what?” Seokjin was eager to find out the last part of that sentence.

“Nothing. Thanks for entertaining me today, hyung. Can I come by again tomorrow and hang out?”

“Of course. My doors are always open. For you, anyway, but for Hoseok, they’re temporarily locked.” Seokjin chuckled as Taehyung untangled himself, slowly making his way to the door, eyes still trained on Seokjin, unwavering. “Goodnight, hyung. For real, this time.”

“Goodnight, Taehyung. Sweet dreams.” Seokjin listened to the click of the door as it closed, suddenly, the room seemed too cold again. He was used to the cold, but somehow, he was now seeking for warmth.

The sun came down, as Seokjin stepped outside his room. He heard the voices of Jimin and Jungkook bickering, and Taehyung’s laugh as it echoed across the halls.

“I told you that was a bad idea! I give up. You’re terrible at teaching.” Jimin screeched as he walked past Jungkook who looked extremely  annoyed as well. He glanced at Seokjin before completely disappearing from the area. “Hyung, you teach Taehyung instead. Kook is hopeless and I’m exhausted. I’m going to hang with Yoongi hyung for a bit.”

Jungkook was pouting in a corner like a child who has just been scolded, muttering some words to Taehyung before addressing Seokjin. “I’m going to the city, I need to de-stress. Take over for me, hyung.”

Before he could dash off, Seokjin felt the need to tease him a bit. “De-stress? Is that your new code for having sex with that fate reader friend of yours?”

“Ugh. Goodbye, hyung. See you tomorrow.”

“Oohh, so you’ll even be staying over. Have fun, Kookie.”

Jungkook rolled his eyes before speeding off, heading straight to the garage to grab his car keys. Taehyung beamed at Seokjin, making his way towards him. “Hi.”

“Hi yourself, Taehyung. What was the commotion about? Those two are like toddlers, constantly fighting over everything.” Seokjin took in Taehyung’s appearance, he was wearing a grey hoodie that was unzipped all the way, that matched his grey sweatpants that hugged the right areas.

“I have a favor since Jungkook said that you’re the only one who’ll be able to help me with this.”

“Of course, what is it?”

“I need help getting used to this superhuman speed. It’s a bit excessive and I get a little dizzy when I uncontrollably move too fast. They tried to teach me, but ended up arguing.” Taehyung’s fingers were preoccupied playing with the zipper on his hoodie, zipping it up and gradually dragging the zipper back down.

“Okay, I can do that. How about we run a few laps around the mansion, until you get used to the speed? After that, I’ll give you tips on how to clear your head while you’re going at full speed, so you’ll be calmer, and it won’t be overwhelming for your mind and body.”

“That sounds good. But are you going to run in.. that?” Seokjin was wearing a button down shirt, tucked inside his trousers and leather loafers, no wonder Taehyung was a bit skeptical.

“Yeah, don’t worry about me. I’ve been doing this for a century, so my clothes don’t bother me anymore. I can even do this in a tux.” Seokjin proudly boasted, leading Taehyung outside the patio to warm up before they started sprinting.

They did 20 laps in the span of 5 minutes, and Taehyung gradually got used to the significantly quick speed. Not a single sweat drop appeared on either one of them.

“I think that’s enough for now. So you know how everything goes by really fast and sometimes your brain needs time to adjust and keep up with your body’s pace? We need to work on ways that can help calm your mind so that it can process what’s going on around you, to avoid the nausea.” Seokjin stated while Taehyung nodded in agreement.

“So before applying your agility to your movements, I want you to clear your head first. Keep your headspace free from thoughts so that you’ll be able to focus your attention on your surroundings.”

“How do I do that?” Taehyung asked.

Seokjin gave it some thought before replying. “This sounds really sappy and I don’t know if this applies to everyone, but what I like to do is focus my thoughts on one specific happy thought. It can be an object, a place, a person, whatever makes you happy. Keep your focus on that one happy thing, you’ll find that it really eases your mind. Why don’t you try it out? Think of something specific for a few seconds and do a few laps around afterwards to see if it’ll work.”

Taehyung fluttered his eyes shut, lost in his thoughts as he concentrated before dashing off at the speed of light. He did laps around the mansion as Seokjin watched from the patio, arms situated across his chest. Taehyung went around more times than Seokjin anticipated, once he was done, he slowed his movements down, skipping towards Seokjin with a huge grin on his face.

It was Seokjin’s turn to feel light-headed, disoriented by the blinding sight before him. He expected that Taehyung would be a force to be reckoned with, what he didn’t expect was the emotional storm that came along with it.

“Awww hyung! We did it! Thanks for sharing your secret with me. Now the insane speed doesn’t make me want to throw up anymore.” Taehyung gleefully exclaimed, still bearing a smile that could launch a thousand wars.

Seokjin stood awestruck for a couple of seconds, like a man who suddenly forgot how to articulate words.

“Glad to know that my technique worked for you. So, what was it?”

“What was what?” Taehyung asked.

“Your happy thought.” Seokjin was curious. Taehyung slowly opened his mouth but no words came out, he immediately shut it right after.

“Uh, it’s for me to know and for you to find out. Let’s leave it at that. Maybe one day you’ll find out, maybe you won’t.”  Taehyung smirked as he skipped towards the house, leaving Seokjin stuck at a daze. Taehyung was.. different. He left Seokjin intrigued, puzzled in the best way possible. No one has managed to leave an impression on Seokjin quite like Taehyung.

He made his way inside to prepare dinner, truth be told he merely needed an excuse to keep his mind preoccupied, ending up cooking way more than he intended. It was a bad and expensive habit, yet it was better than dwelling on thoughts which he wasn’t ready to acknowledge.

Two weeks passed by in a blur. Taehyung made it a daily occurrence to visit Seokjin, asking him the most random questions.

Hyung, how I control my hearing abilities?

Hyung, sometimes I want to throw up because my sense of smell is intense. Can you teach me how to deal with this?

Hyung, do you like garlic? Have you ever tried garlic powder?

Hyung, what’s your favorite thing about being a vampire?

An influx of neutral questions that soon evolved into more personal questions. If Seokjin recalled any memories from his human life, how he turned into a vampire, how he met the others, questions that Seokjin would usually ignore but he found himself honestly answering each and every question with ease. Taehyung started frequenting Seokjin’s chambers, spending the entire day talking about anything and everything in between.

And Seokjin found that he didn’t mind it. Not one bit. But rather, he was looking forward to these little intimate moments.

Seokjin was never the talkative type, preferring to sit back at the sidelines and observe rather than engage or initiate conversations with others, yet he was slowly coming out of his shell whenever Taehyung was around, matching his enthusiasm about the most mundane things. He was growing fonder as each day passed.

During one of their moments, Taehyung was lazily laying down on Seokjin’s couch, watching a drama with Seokjin. Out of nowhere Seokjin decided to breach a sensitive topic. “Taehyung-ah, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to, okay? If you’re uncomfortable with the topic, feel free to disregard my question.”

Taehyung looked up at Seokjin and nodded, prompting him to continue. He appreciated how Seokjin constantly showered him with respect, never stepping over any boundaries that could make Taehyung the slightest bit uncomfortable. “Go ahead, hyung.”

“Um, okay. But remember, you don’t have to force yourself to answer. Why did you agree to turn? I mean, you had a whole life ahead of you.” Seokjin got a gist of what happened to Taehyung thanks to Jungkook, he just wanted an in depth explanation, he wanted to get inside Taehyung’s mind.

“Hmm. Besides Jungkook and Jimin warning me about the possible jail time I was likely going to face? I wanted to turn because I was sick of my life. I needed a permanent escape, had nothing holding me back anyway.” Taehyung chuckled in a sarcastic way, his statement wasn’t humorous in any way.

“Family? Friends? A lover waiting for you? Nothing?” Seokjin probed, paying close attention to Taehyung’s body language.

“My mom ran off with another man when I was young, and my dad basically spent the duration of my time growing up putting the blame on me rather than acknowledging the fact that he was addicted to the bottle, and whenever he got drunk.. well, things weren’t pretty. Once I turned 18, I moved out. Getting odd jobs here and there to get by. I got a scholarship for college so I thought things were going to turn around, except it didn’t. I was bullied to no end, and I never found out the reason behind it. I wanted to die. Multiple times I had that mindset, if I died today, would anyone really notice?”

In that moment, Seokjin did the unthinkable, he cried. Without any warning, relentless tears escaped his eyes, he couldn’t help it, Taehyung’s story brought out emotions he didn’t know he still had. Taehyung was surprised to see the sight of Seokjin sobbing, an emotional wreck in front of him, without thinking, he moved in closer as he captured him, providing him comfort through his embrace. “Hyuuuung, I didn’t mean to make you cry. If I knew you were going to react like, then I probably wouldn’t have told you. Please don’t cry.” He gently wiped the tears as they fell.

“I-I would.” Seokjin hastily muttered under his breath, pinching his thighs, in attempts to cease his crying.

“What was that, hyung?”

“If you died, I would care. Damn it. Don’t say dumb things like that. You have a family and friends now. We’ll make up for the things you missed out on, so stop saying stupid things, Taehyung-ah.” Taehyung stopped rubbing circles across Seokjin’s back, his hand left hanging in the air, while Seokjin’s words registered. After pinching himself multiple times, Seokjin finally managed to calm himself down, wiping away his tears.

“Thank you, hyung. You don’t know how much that means to me. It was worth it, just so you know.” Taehyung replied, standing up from the couch, heading towards the door.

“What was?” Seokjin eyes followed Taehyung movements.

Taehyung’s hand was gripping the metal handle of the door, before pushing it down, he turned to Seokjin. “Giving up my life in exchange for this one. After all, turning into a vampire led me to you.” He gave Seokjin a shy smile, before pushing the handle and stepping out of the room, giving Seokjin absolutely no time to form a reaction.

It was one of Taehyung’s several endearing habits, he had the tendency to blurt out something that would completely render Seokjin speechless, then bolt out of the room as if nothing happened. It drove Seokjin up the wall, he could never figure out if Taehyung was serious or if he was simply teasing him.

Either way, Taehyung left him as an emotional wreck on a daily basis, constantly in a heated debate with his inner thoughts.

After a couple of days, Seokjin barged into Jungkook’s room, discovering him cursing at somebody while he was playing an online game. He repeatedly tapped on Jungkook’s shoulder, disrupting his gaming session. “What??? Hyung, I’m going to get shot at if you keep on annoying me.” He screeched out. He turned to shoot a look towards Seokjin, yet seeing Seokjin’s sullen face made him immediately quit the game altogether, ignoring the curses from his teammates, he took off his headset, giving Seokjin his undivided attention.

“What’s wrong, hyung??? Are you hurt somewhere?” Jungkook asked, scanning Seokjin’s appearance, slightly shaking him in the process.

“No, no. It’s not that, I need help. It’s about Taehyung.” Seokjin muttered.

“Is he hurt???” Jungkook was about to dash out of the room to search for Taehyung, when Seokjin gently held his shoulder, slightly pushing him down to have a seat.

“Calm down, nobody’s hurt. Anyway, Taehyung opened up to me a few days ago, about the bullying incident, and I was thinking…” Jungkook interrupted, not letting Seokjin finish his statement. “You want to make them pay? Just say the word, hyung and I’ll..” Seokjin sighed before interrupting him as well. “No. You’re such a brute. I want them to apologize to Taehyung. I want his father to apologize as well. And if they don’t comply.. then fine, let’s resort to desperate measures. I don’t care how we do it, I just need them to apologize.”

Jungkook had a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Sounds like a plan. Jimin hyung and I will track them down, I’ll send you a text once we find them.”

“Ugh, no texting. Just call me please. I hate texting.” Seokjin groaned.

“Hyung, keep up with the times. Just because you’re more than a hundred years old, doesn’t mean you should stay outdated. So yeah, check your messages.” Jungkook exclaimed before he bolted out of the room in search for Jimin.

After two days, while Seokjin was in the middle of teaching Taehyung how to bake cookies from scratch, his phone vibrated.

Jk 8:48 p.m.

Hyung

Seokjin 8:51 p.m.

Yes?

Jk 8:51 p.m.

Why does it take you so long to reply? Anyway, found the group. Asked them to apologize to Taehyung hyung but they just laughed, assholes. You better get here quick before I do something I’ll regret.

Seokjin 8:55 p.m.

Be there in an hour, tops.

Seokjin made a lame excuse about picking up an ancient artifacf from a museum located in the city, Taehyung was about to ask if he could join when Yoongi entered the kitchen. Seokjin saw an opportunity to distract Taehyung, so he grabbed it.

“Yoongi! Our best baker. Teach Taehyungie here how to bake, will you? He’s been so eager to learn. I have to pick up something in the city, I’ll be back in a couple of hours.” Before any of them could respond, Seokjin made a mad dash out of the house, grabbing his car keys and speeding off to the city.

He met Jungkook at Taheyung’s old university, where Jungkook pointed to a group of guys smoking by the parking lot. There were 4 in total, a group of gangster wannabes who were decked out in all black.

“Ah, it’s that kid again. Did you call for backup?” A tall, skinny guy mocked, earning guffaws from his lackeys. Seokjin stared at the man with a blank look in his eyes. “Are you the fuckers who bullied Taehyung?” He spat out, his tone laced with venom.

“Aish. Where is that nerd anyway? Haven’t seen him around lately. And what is it to you?” The man taunted, Seokjin responded by letting out a sarcastic chuckle, irritating the man who was inching closer to Seokjin.

“The only time I’ll allow you to see him again is when you’re on your knees apologizing and begging for forgiveness."

The group of four ended up laughing, amused by Seokjin’s courage, it was a four to two fight, they seemed overconfident.

“Apologize? Us? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. You’re probably as crazy as that nerd.” That was the last straw for Seokjin. His eyes suddenly transformed into a fiery shade of red, he slightly opened his mouth to draw out his fangs, staring straight into the man’s soul who was taken aback by the change in Seokjin’s appearance. He stumbled to the ground as he was backing away, Seokjin continued to step closer.

“W-What the fuck are you?? Who are you???” He muttered with a shaky breath.

“That’s for me to know and for you to find out. Now, back to Taehyung-ah, my dear sweet Taehyung-ah, who suffered because of you fuckers, are you going to apologize or do I have to drain every ounce of your blood until you end up with a slow and painful death?” Seokjin was now hovering above the man, cocking his head to the side as he was waiting for the man’s response, who was visibly cowering in fear. He placed one foot on top of the man’s left leg, digging the heel of his shoe in it, causing the man to mutter out curses from the excruciating pain.

“What? I didn’t hear you, asshole. Are you going to apologize or not?”

“I-I will. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” He mumbled out, involuntintarily pissing in his pants.

“Gross. And pathetic. You wait right here, Taehyung’s coming, and when he gets here, I expect you and your goons to be on your knees, groveling, begging for forgiveness. Do I make myself clear?” Seokjin hissed out, without a second thought, the man nodded.

“Kook, did you call Yoongi? Are they on their way?”

“Yeah, sent him a text. They’ll be here in about 15 minutes.” Jungkook replied, bringing his attention back to his phone.

“And Jimin? Did he find the father and deal with him?” Seokjin asked, eyes still focused on the man below him, impaling him with fear.

“Don’t worry about Jimin hyung. I’m sure he’s got that under control. It’s Jimin after all.” Seokjin hummed in agreement, knowing at the back of his mind that Jungkook was right, Jimin knew how to forcefully achieve things.

Seokjin could hear the car doors closing from the university’s gates, indicating that Yoongi and Taehyung have arrived. “Taehyung-ah’s here, look pretty. Get in a straight line and kneel. If I hear one insincere apology, I’ll have your heads for dinner.” Seokjin stated, as he watched the 4 men scramble in fear, getting in one straight line as they kneeled with their heads lowered as they awaited for Taehyung’s arrival with bated breaths.

Taehyung’s eyes widened when he spotted the four guys who made his college life a living hell, all kneeling down with their heads lowered in shame. Seokjin suddenly appeared from the shadows, arms across his chest as he beamed at Taehyung.  “There you are Taehyung-ah. Stumbled across some trash in the city, a little birdie told me that they have something to say to you. Isn’t that right.. hmm. I don’t even know your names, doesn’t matter, I don’t associate myself with irrelevant humans.”

“W-we’re so sorry, Taehyung. We don’t deserve your forgiveness but we want to sincerely apologize for all the trouble we caused you.”

Taehyung looked at the man, Kim Yoru, who made the last few years of his life unbearable, and he felt nothing.

“Did that apology satisfy you, Taehyung-ah? Because if not, then I’ll fix it.” Seokjin stated as kicked Yoru further into the ground, resting his foot on Yoru’s back.

“It’s okay, hyung. No need to bother. I just want to say one thing..” He slowly lowered himself on the ground until Yoru could meet his eyes that suddenly turned red, like Seokjin’s did earlier, Yoru was terrified that his teeth started to chatter. “I hope you spend the rest of your nights frightened to death, because one day, Yoru, I’m going to pay you a little visit. And who knows what will happen when I do? Have a good life, asshole.” Taehyung shot him one last menacing stare before turning his back at them, making his way back to the car.

“Ah, I don’t envy you. Now get out of my sight before I change my mind.” Seokjin firmly exclaimed, causing the four guys to run as quickly as they could, fleeing the area.

Seokjin made his way to the car Taehyung was waiting in, exchanging cars with Yoongi, whom he instructed to head back to the mansion with Jungkook in tow. “I hope you don’t mind, Taehyung. But we have one more pit stop before we head home.”

Taehyung nodded along, he trusted Seokjin more than he ever trusted anyone else, aware that everything Seokjin did, he did for their benefit, not his own.

Seokjin continued driving until they entered a familiar area, he parked the car at a pathway which Taehyung knew all too well, one he would’ve liked to have forgotten but couldn’t. Seokjin made his way inside the modest home, barging inside, as Taehyung closely followed behind him. Once the living area came to view, he spotted Jimin sitting on the couch with a grin on his face. “Finally. I was getting impatient. He’s all yours, hyung. Taetae, see you back home.” He gave Taehyung a small hug before heading out the door.

Sitting in the middle of the room was the person he hated the most, the man who degraded him, turned him into his personal punching bag whenever he came home intoxicated, the man who cursed him endlessly: his own father.

“Taehyung? Is that really you? You’re alive?” Surprise evident on his face, but Taehyung wasn’t in the mood for his bullshit.

“Cut the crap. You and I both know that you wouldn’t even bat an eye if I died.” Taehyung sneered, bitterness leaking from his tone.

“Not even going to address you formally because you don’t deserve that for the way you treated Taehyung. I believe Jimin spoke to you already, so what the hell are you still doing standing and putting on this awful act? On your fucking knees, now.” Seokjin ordered, his eyes flashing red, causing Taehyung’s father to immediately drop to his knees.

“Taehyung, my son. I’m so sorry. I’ve been a terrible father to you. I drove your mother away and blamed you instead. Can you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?” Taehyung’s father said, pleading, yet it felt forced. There was no remorse behind his tone.

What his father didn’t know was that Taehyung no longer had a heart and even if he did, he didn’t feel the need to forgive him. Strangely enough, Taehyung felt nothing once again.

No anger, no sadness, nothing.

Instead, he felt like his wounds have magically healed over time. He glanced at the man who was shooting daggers towards his estranged father with his eyes and wondered if that man was the sole reason behind the healing that unknowingly occurred.

“No. I refuse to. I just wanted to know that this will be the last time you’ll be seeing me and that I’m in a much happier place now. I’ve found a home that you failed to provide. Have a good life, father.” The last word was sarcastically spoken as he turned his back to his father for the very last time, heading back to the car. Seokjin stayed for a bit, until he was sure that Taehyung wouldn’t be able to hear him, he whispered into Taehyung’s father’s ear. “Thanks for being a prick, I got Taehyung thanks to that. Don’t ever come looking for Taehyung, because I have no intention of returning him to you, ever.”

He stood up and exited the house, following Taehyung back inside the car.

The car ride back to the mansion was quiet, Taehyung was staring at the landscapes that passed him by. Seokjin decided to break the silence. “Taehyung-ah, sorry. I think I overstepped my boundaries by doing that earlier. I just couldn’t sit back and relax, knowing how those assholes treated you and how they were living their pathetic lives unbothered by it.”

Seokjin felt Taehyung craning his head to face him, he couldn’t be too sure since he was avoiding Taehyung’s gaze, focusing his eyes on the empty road ahead of him. “Why are you apologizing? I should be thanking you. You’re the first person who ever stood up for me when I couldn’t stand up for myself. You provided me with so much courage to face my demons. I’ll eternally be grateful for that, for you.”

“Taehyung-ah.. I was doing my job as..”

“Regardless of your reasons behind it, I appreciate it so, so much, hyung. Thank you. I wish I could somehow repay your kindness someday.” Taehyung verbalized.

“Your presence is enough. I mean it. Glad you made the decision to join our coven.”

Taehyung tried to suppress a smile, abruptly shifting his gaze to the window, Seokjin’s words made him happy, deciding to bask in that blissful state for a while, permitting the comfortable silence to coexist.

That night, before heading back to his room to rest, he came up with a marvelous idea. Seokjin’s birthday was coming up, and although he abhorred celebrating events like his birthday, Taehyung insisted that the members should throw him a surprise party, much to their skepticism regarding Seokjin’s possible reaction to the entire plan.

As he organized the details of the party, writing the details down on his planner, his thoughts kept on escaping him. He wondered what his emotions for Seokjin entailed. It couldn’t be only appreciation, because he appreciated each and every one of the members, but with Seokjin, it went beyond appreciation. Beyond fascination. Beyond gratitude. Beyond every type of feeling he could think of.

Yoongi suddenly knocked on Taehyung’s door, informing him of Hoseok’s return from the hospital and the fresh batch of blood bags that he brought home with him. Before Yoongi could shut the door, Taehyung called out to him, asking him to stay. He always looked up to Yoongi, viewing him as one of the wisest people he has ever come across, surely he could help him with his dilemma. Throwing caution to the wind, he concluded that this was his best option.

“What’s up? Anything bothering you?” Yoongi asked as he walked around the room, his hands buried in his pockets while doing so.

“Sorry for springing this on you, didn’t know who else to talk to about this. It’s about hyung..” Taehyung shyly mumbled out.

“Oh? Seokjin hyung? What about him?”

“It’s unclear to me. The way I feel about him. I can’t exactly pinpoint what I’m feeling, this is all very new to me.” He honestly answered. Igniting Yoongi’s curiosity, as he encouraged Taehyung to elaborate further. “Try then. Take baby steps. Tell me what you feel whenever he’s around.”

“Nervous but comfortable. He makes me nervous in a way that I don’t really dislike, per se. Hyung gives me a sense of serenity that nobody else can. That’s the thing, these feelings that I have for him, I don’t feel them with anyone else.” Taehyung sharply inhaled as soon as he was done speaking.

Yoongi’s serious demeanor melted away as a gummy smile replaced it. “Hmm. Kid, hate to break it you, but it sounds like you’re in love. And no, not in the brotherly type of way like me and hyung, but more of a I-would-do-anything-just-to-see-him-happy type of way. You know what I’m saying?” He waited for Taehyung to absorb his words, zoning out as he suddenly sat down on the bed.

“I’m in love?” Taehyung asked incredulity, as if the world opened up and flashed a neon sign for him: you are in love.

“Guess you are. Seems like it, anyway. You asked for my opinion and, well, that’s what I see.” Yoongi shrugged, heading to the door.

“Wait! Hyung! What do I do now???”

“Either you tell him or you don’t. Only you can answer that question, Taehyung. What do you want to happen? Ask yourself that. Either you don’t tell him and continue.. whatever it is that you guys have right now, or you tell him, and see where it goes.” Taehyung weighed Yoongi’s words in his head, scrutinizing every possible outcome, listing down the pros and cons, until his head started to throb.

He decided to rest, trusting that the answers would come to him soon.

The day leading up to Seokjin’s birthday, Taehyung was practically bouncing all over the place, secretly making the arrangements needed, ensuring that he wouldn’t miss out on a single detail. As for his feelings, well, he decided to cross the bridge when the right time presented itself, relying on his gut instincts to inform him of that. For now, he was immersed in party planning, avoiding Seokjin as much as possible in the last few days, giving him the lamest excuses.

Seokjin cornered him as Taehyung was returning to his room to grab his phone. “Taehyung-ah, are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong to upset you?” Realizing that he missed Taehyung.

Taehyung avoided eye contact, increasing his pace as he continued walking. “No, no. Uh, later. We’ll talk later. Before midnight.”

Seokjin furrowed his brows in confusion, it seemed like Taehyung was in a hurry and wasn’t in the mood to talk, deciding to not push it. He sighed as he returned to his room.

When Taehyung sensed that the coast was clear, he sprinted out of his room, heading back to the spare room which he converted into a ‘party room’ specifically for Seokjin’s birthday. He had a dance floor installed, as well as strobe lights, complete with a DJ booth in the middle. He attached an alarming number of balloons to the walls, and a gold banner that spelled out Seokjin’s name. Jimin and Jungkook entered the room, huffing out labored breaths as they carried two huge speakers and carefully placed them in opposite corners.

“That’s perfect! Thank you guys for helping me with this. I really appreciate it. How are Yoongi and Hobi hyung doing with the food preparations?” Taehyung exclaimed.

“Good, I guess. They’ve been cooking up a storm last time I checked. Why are we even preparing food when you can just give hyung a blood bag and he’d be satisfied with that?” Jungkook questioned.

“Because it’s his birthday, duh. Might as well go all out for hyung. Besides, what’s a birthday without food?” Taehyung retorted before giving them last minute instructions, he wanted everything to be seamless, eager to see the shock on Seokjin’s face.

11:59 p.m.

Taehyung blindfolded Seokjin, leading him up to the third floor where the spare room was situated, ignoring Seokjin’s insistent queries. Once the grandfather clock located by the main hall, chimed to indicate that it was midnight, Taehyung gently removed the blindfolds as everyone yelled out, “Surprise!!! Happy birthday, hyung!!”

Seokjin took in his surroundings, amazed at how they managed to completely remodel the room. He thanked everyone, giving them each a big hug, while they gave him their well wishes, Taehyung was the last one in line. “It was you, wasn’t it? Was this the reason why you’ve been avoiding me lately?”

Taehyung nodded as he let out a small giggle. “Were you surprised at least? I’m a bad liar so it was better to avoid you so I wouldn’t accidentally spill anything.”

Seokjin pulled him into a hug, whispering in his ear. “Thank you for preparing all this for me, but I missed you.”

Taehyung wasn’t sure which gave him chills more, the hoarse tone of Seokjin’s voice or the fact that he openly admitted that he missed Taehyung.

He released Taehyung from the hug, not giving him a chance to respond as he sauntered to the dance floor, picking up a flute of champagne.

The party went on until the wee hours of the morning, the night was filled with dancing, alcohol, good food, laughter, and the best company possible. Everyone headed back to their rooms afterwards, Seokjin and Taehyung walked in silence, both heading to the same direction. Taehyung stopped in his tracks to speak. “Hyung, I have one more gift. Can I come in your room?”

“Of course, Taehyung-ah. You don’t need my permission for that, you know.” Seokjin chuckled as he pushed the door knob, heading inside the room as he left the door open for Taehyung to follow. Taehyung stood idly by the door, Seokjin made a beeline to the bathroom. “I’ll be out in a bit, let me just take a quick shower.”

The bathroom door shut as Taehyung sighed, he heard the sound of the shower being turned on as well as the splashing sound it made as the water hit the ground. He made his way to the sofa, nervously bouncing his leg as he waited for the pitter-patter sound to come to a stop, when it finally did, Taehyung felt like his insides were on fire, nervously fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. The bathroom door creaked open, steam making it’s way out, Seokjin returned clad in a  bathrobe neatly tied around his waist, droplets of water on his forehead.

“Sorry about that. Needed to sober up a bit. So, what did you want to give me, Tae?”

Taehyung abruptly stood up, the urge to keep his eyes trained on the ground was tempting, yet he willed himself to keep them trained on Seokjin instead. He swallowed the lump in his throat as he fought back every fear that consumed him, trusting his instincts that was signaling him to continue.

“Me.” Taehyung softly spoke, his voice was wavering but his resolve remained firm.

Seokjin dropped the towel he was clutching in his hands, a loud thud echoing across the room as it hit the floor. His eyes stayed rooted to the ground, unable to comprehend what was happening.

Did he hear Taehyung correctly? Was the meaning entirely different from the one he conjured up in his head? But how many implications could 'me' insinuate?

“W-what? Stop playing with me, Tae. What did you want to give me?” He awkwardly chuckled, just in case Taehyung was simply teasing and he was reading too much into this.

Taehyung moved lackadaisically towards Seokjin, each step heavier than the next, until he was standing a few inches away from Seokjin.

“Me. That’s my gift. Myself.” Taehyung meekly uttered, confusing Seokjin even more. “What do you mean by that, Taehyung? Sorry, I’m not following..”

“It means, I’m giving you free reign to do whatever you want with me. If you want me, I’m yours.”

“What?” Seokjin was startled, sometimes Taehyung had a strange way of elaborating his thoughts, but this was the most confusing one yet. Taehyung gently placed his fingers against Seokjin’s cheek, caressing it with his knuckles as he slowly spread his fingers open, mapping out the expanse of Seokjin’s skin, Seokjin stood unmoving, gaze intently focused on Taehyung’s facial expressions, he couldn’t get a read on Taehyung’s thoughts.

“To put it simply, you’re my happy thought. These past few weeks I’ve been trying to figure out these emotions within me whenever you came into the picture, at first I thought it was admiration or astonishment or maybe even gratitude, but as the days went by, so did the amount of emotions I felt for you, it steadily increased as well. And one day, I couldn’t deny what I felt any longer. It was as evident as the blood we need to consume in order to survive, you became ‘blood’ for me, a necessity in order to survive.” Taehyung spoke in muted tones, drawing out each word carefully as the tips of his fingers stilled underneath Seokjin’s chin, eyes unwavering as it settled upon Seokjin’s. Seokjin searched Taehyung’s eyes, in case this ended up being one, big prank, but all he could see was the raw vulnerability behind it.

The room felt warmer even though there was nothing inside that could cause the temperature to rise, except for Taehyung. His hands felt slack as they dropped along his sides, he brought one hand up to gently brush away the stray bangs covering Taehyung’s eyes, as he felt the atmosphere undeniably shift around the room. His index finger wandered downwards until it reached Taehyung’s nape, he drew circles in a tranquil motion.

His trembling hands felt colder than usual. “What do you feel for me? Because I’m a tad too much in love with you. Been around for over a century, but I’ve never met anybody who made me feel the way you do, you make me feel alive. I can’t stand the sun, but you make me want to bask in it’s warmth, just because it reminds me of you.”

To say that Taehyung was shell-shocked, reeling from the sudden unexpected confession, was an understatement. Seokjin was someone who was unattainable, out of reach, yet that didn’t stop Taehyung from wanting, and that want, urged him on to at least try.

“You’re in love with me? Why? I mean, I’m in love with you too, that goes without saying, but how could someone like you, fall in love with someone like me?” Taehyung murmured, if it wasn’t for their extended hearing abilities, Seokjin might have not been able to catch it.

“Don’t give me that, Taehyung. Do you know how incredibly charming you are? So charming and witty that you captured my attention the moment you stepped inside this mansion. Do you know how sweet and how you unselfishly devote yourself to others? I doubt that anyone has something negative to say about you. Do you know how fucking beautiful you are? And I’m not just talking about your appearance, I’m talking about your soul. Every single part of you.” Seokjin spoke between bated breaths, agitated by Taehyung’s inability to see himself the way Seokjin saw him.

He stepped closer to Taehyung as Taehyung moved backwards with each step, until his back touched the cold concrete wall. There was nowhere to escape now, Seokjin had him backed up against the wall. “And do you know just how much you drive me crazy? I thought roaming around this world would grant me infinite knowledge, but upon meeting you, that went down the drain real quick. I wanted to know you, wanted to figure out what went inside that pretty little head of yours, but I couldn’t. I was too caught up in trying to figure you out that I didn’t even realize that I was falling in love in the process.” Seokjin’s breath grew ragged, he pinned one hand towards Taehyung’s side, planting one hand firmly against the wall, causing Taehyung’s breath to hitch at the sudden movement.

Taehyung’s head started spinning at the rapid influx of emotions and thoughts, unable to fully grasp one thought, he decided to stop thinking altogether. He crashed their lips together, Seokjin moaning at the sudden impact.

It was like two meteors colliding against one another, but instead of causing chaos, it brought them salvation.

Taehyung kissed Seokjin with hunger, hands placed on the nape of his neck, pulling him in, as Seokjin kissed back, matching his starvation. They were both hungrily kissing each other as if they would run out of time, in contrast to how their surroundings seemed to be slowing down for them, ceasing to exist altogether, what mattered at this moment was how much their bodies yearned for each other.

Seokjin’s teeth was delicately grazing against Taehyung’s bottom lip, just the right amount of pressure to draw a small amount of blood, as Taehyung parted his mouth, Seokjin swallowing his moans. Seokjin took this opportunity to part Taehyung’s lips wider, darting his tongue inside to fully revel on how sweet Taehyung tasted. The kiss grew heated, Taehyung’s hands running all over the expanse of Seokjin’s chest, feeling the warmth of his chiseled chest beneath the bathrobe, spurring him on, Seokjin carefully placed one knee between Taehyung’s thighs, causing him to throw his head back at the sensation, accidentally hitting the wall. Taehyung unbuttoned his silk dress shirt, letting it fall against the carpeted floor, not breaking the kiss. Seokjin hungrily eyed the honey skin on full display, igniting his arousal, Taehyung gently moved his head to the side, exposing his neck. His voice was breathless and hoarse as he spoke.

“Mark me. Make me yours. Bite me.”

Three phrases that were more than enough to send Seokjin to Heaven and back, spellbound by the amount of trust Taehyung had for him. “Once my fangs pierce your skin, there’s no going back. You’ll be bound to me for all of eternity. Are you sure about this, Taehyung?” Seokjin asked, seeking confirmation.

Taehyung craned his neck further, fingers tracing his neck. “I want you now and I’ll want you until we run out of days, make me yours, Seokjin. I’ve never been so sure of anything else.”

Seokjin licked his lips, drawing his fangs out while his eyes flickered between their normal color and blood red. “Your wish is my command. Let me show you how it feels to be consumed by love.” He gripped on Taehyung’s waist, fingers tracing outlines unto his hips, as he started off by trailing feather-like kisses on Taehyung’s neck. Chaste kisses turned into licks, Seokjin’s tongue felt warm to the touch, causing Taehyung’s knees to buckle at the sensation. “You ready, Tae? I’ll be drawing out a little bit of blood that could cause you to feel light-headed for a while.”

Taehyung nodded, sighing as Seokjin lightly sucked on his neck. “Mark me, I want to be the one who makes you second guess things.” That was all Seokjin needed to sink his teeth into Taehyung’s neck, puncturing the skin. Taehyung felt a rush of emotions all at once: pain, pleasure, acceptance, love. Seokjin unhurriedly drank the blood, savoring the sweet taste, there’s was absolutely nothing about Taehyung that tasted anything but sweet, he had such a distinct taste that Seokjin would never forget him even if he tried. The piercing suction made Taehyung moan out loud, his knees were slowly turning into jelly, Seokjin held him tighter, keeping him in place.

Once he was done, he slowly withdraw his fangs, the evident taste of Taehyung’s blood still lingered on his tongue, he captured Taehyung’s mouth, giving him a slight taste of his own blood, turning him on further.

“The sweetest taste. Fuck, nothing else could ever compare to how you taste. If I could drink you whole, I would. To seal this bond, you have to drink my blood as well.” Seokjin craned his neck, revealing it to Taehyung who looked at him, eyes filled with hunger.

Taehyung switched their positions, trapping Seokjin against the wall, he slowly wrapped his lips around his neck, revealing his sharp fangs as he dug it into Seokjin’s skin, breaking it in the process. Seokjin was a moaning mess while Taehyung took his precious time, eyes blown wide at how distinctly good Seokjin tasted, Taehyung was certain that after getting a taste of Seokjin’s blood, no other blood could ever satisfy him afterwards.

If this was Taehyung’s last meal on earth, he would die a happy man.

Seokjin’s blood made him feel like he was ascending, drifting off into another realm, quickly making him forget who he was and what was occurring at the moment. His knees felt weak, as Taehyung’s grip held him in place, withdrawing his fangs, he felt blood dripping off his bottom lip which he gladly licked off with his tongue.

“That was.. intense. I’ve never been bitten before.” Seokjin admitted, shyly staring into Taehyung’s eyes which held the same intensity.

“Happy to be the first, and the last.” Taehyung smirked, admiring how utterly ravaged Seokjin looked, one side of his robe was slipping over his shoulder, exposing more of his milky white skin. “Gorgeous hyungie. You just ruined it for everybody else who isn’t you, I’ll never look at anyone the same way I do with you.”

“You better not. Have you forgotten that we just sealed our bond? You’re stuck with me for life.” Seokjin giggled. “Which reminds me, does that mean we can enter the honeymoon period now?” Taehyung whispered, voice low enough to send shivers down Seokjin’s spine.

“I’ll be right back. I have one last gift for you.” Taehyung stated as he dashed out the door, returning back within seconds. He took Seokjin’s hand as he led him towards the foot of the bed. “Get comfortable. It’s my um, first time so I’m not sure how this will turn out, but I prepared a little something for you.” Taehyung’s sinful gaze faltered for a minute, slightly embarrassed by his confession. Seokjin couldn’t help his eyes from widening. “Your first time.. getting intimate? Ever?”

“Yes. I’m a bit scared, what if I end up disappointing you?” Nibbling on his lower lip, Taehyung softly voiced out his concern. Seokjin knelt on the bed to reach Taehyung, planting a soft kiss on his lips. “You could never disappoint me, baby. I would never force you to do anything if it doesn’t equally make you feel good, we can drop everything tonight and just watch a movie while cuddling if that makes you feel better.”

But Taehyung was a man on a mission, he fervently shook his head. “No, tonight, I’m giving myself to you and that’s that.” Earning a chuckle from Seokjin, he was beyond endeared at this point, no use trying to conceal it. “Okay, show me what you’ve got Tae-ah.”

Taehyung opened the gift box which he was clutching, revealing a dildo, he was embarrassed but his stubborn self overpowered his embarrassment, Seokjin on the other hand, was surprised, but did a good job concealing his shock. Taehyung positioned the toy on the bed, set it at an upright position as he began stripping off his clothes. The sinful sight was enough to stir up Seokjin’s arousal, feeling his hardening member beneath the silky fabric of this robe. Once Taehyung was completely naked, he lowered himself down, adding lube to the dildo, the head probed his entrance, causing him to squirm. After several attempts of teasing his entrance, he took a sharp inhale as he fully lowered himself, the toy completely disappearing from his sight. He pulled his hips down harder, grinding himself on the dildo, once the first burn was gone, pleasure took it’s place.

Seokjin stood there, watching Taehyung’s every move as he continued to bury himself unto the dildo, gasping each time he sunk himself, filling his entrance, arousal consumed Seokjin as he hungrily witnessed Taehyung fucking himself raw before his very eyes.

Taehyung arched his back as his moans filled the room. “So fucking beautiful, my Taehyung-ah.” Seokjin uttered, it took him every inch of his willpower to not stride over to where Taehyung was and devour him entirely. Beads of sweat were trailing down Taehyung’s forehead as he panted, catching his breath, his movements slowing down. “I think I’m ready for you, hyung. Wanted to make sure that I could take you.” Taehyung rasped out, with quivering limbs, he stood up, catching his breath as his head hit the velvet pillows. Seokjin’s eyes briefly flickered to a shade of red before returning back to it’s original brown hue, as he made his way towards Taehyung, letting his robe languidly slip off. He hovered above Taehyung, pining his wrists as he dove in for a kiss, tracing the outline of Taehyung’s lips with the tip of his tongue, Taehyung harshly tugged on the back of Seokjin’s hair, prompting him to go on.

“I know that you already prepped for me, but I can’t help myself, you’re too enticing. Can I touch you?” Seokjin seductively purred into Taehyung’s ear. “Anything you want, I’m yours.” Taehyung breathily responded.

Seokjin lifted Taehyung’s legs up, placing his knees over his shoulders for balance, he started lapping across Taehyung’s entrance, flicking his tongue lightly but not allowing it to fully enter, causing Taehyung to wantonly beg for more. “More, hyung. Please.” Taehyung was yearning to have Seokjin intoxicate him further with pleasure.

As Seokjin’s tongue was teasing, merely probing the entrance, he abruptly delved his tongue in, going in as deep as possible. His limp body was thrashing underneath, as he dissolved into a pool of pleasure, raking his nails across Seokjin’s hair, chanting his name like a mantra, a prayer.

With his free hand, Seokjin started stroking Taehyung’s manhood as he continued to devour Taehyung with his tongue, keeping a steady rhythm. Taehyung was a mess beneath him, toes curling from the surge of pleasure that sent shockwaves across his body. “Hyung, I think I’m gonna..” Before Taehyung could finish his statement, Seokjin completely halted all activities, causing Taehyung to whine at the sudden absence of pleasure. “Not so fast, my pretty little vampire.” He smirked as Taehyung continued to whine.

“Ride me like how you fucked yourself on that dildo. It was torture watching you pleasure yourself while I had to keep my hands to myself.” Seokjin sinfully teased.

Taehyung swiftly switched their positions, pinning Seokjin down with his arms, as he climbed on top of him, positioning both legs on either side of Seokjin. He steadily lifted his ass up, getting into position, as he slowly sunk his way down, feeling the stretch and burn from Seokjin’s manhood. Seokjin growled out in pleasure. “Fuck, you feel so good, Tae-ah. So tight. Just for me.” Unexpectedly discovering that Taehyung was fond of praises, it motivated him to no end. It was their first time yet Seokjin was already looking forward to unraveling each part of Taehyung.

What turned him on. What pushed him over the edge. His ticklish areas. Oh, the possibilities were endless.

They had all the time in the world, and Seokjin couldn’t wait to discover and explore everything that Taehyung was made out of.

Taehyung snapped their hips together, setting a timid pace at first but eventually picking up the pace as he pulled his hips down harder, plunging deeper. His eyes rolled back as he arched his back from the immense amount of pleasure, it was like his body was designed for Seokjin and vice versa, they were made for each other.

Seokjin splayed his hands across Taehyung’s lower back, gripping whatever expanse of skin his hands landed on, causing Taehyung to clench his entrance around Seokjin’s manhood as he continued to ride him like it was his last day on earth. Taehyung’s mind was feeling hazy as he submerged himself in pleasure, hips moving on it’s own, as Seokjin met him halfway, thrusting upwards hitting his sweet spot repeatedly, he clawed his way across Seokjin’s chest, deep enough to leave trails and a hint of blood which he hurriedly licked off. It was the act of sublime deliverance from Seokjin, he wanted to be consumed by the entirety of it all. Drowning in the way Seokjin tasted, bathing in the feeling of their bodies morphing into one.

He forgot where he began and Seokjin ended.

“Let me take care of you now, baby.” Seokjin’s voice was breathy, husky from the moaning. He interchanged their positions, he gently lifted Taehyung’s legs up, creating a right angle with his body, resting his legs against Seokjin’s shoulders. His eyes bore into Taehyung’s, looking at him with a mixture of lust and a whole lot of love in between.

“Make love to me, hyung. I want to feel you for days. I want to feel you until I forget how I ever survived without you.” Taehyung pleaded, pulling Seokjin in for a kiss, as he sucked on his tongue.  “You’re going to be the death of me someday, Kim Taehyung. That is, if I ever die.” Seokjin sensually stuttered out, his mind delirious from how much he wanted Taehyung, space was already non-existent between them yet he wanted more. He wanted to defile the laws of physics, create a way to possibly bring their bodies even closer together.

“You don’t know how much I adore you. I fell in love with you without even knowing what love meant, not until you came along. You became the very definition of love.” Seokjin whispered, pressing their foreheads together. And for the first time in his life, Taehyung felt like he was loved, the way he was supposed to be loved, the way he deserved to be loved

“I love you, until we run out of days, I’ll still continue to love you.” Taehyung muttered as his fingers traced the outline of Seokjin’s jaw. Seokjin gently kissed Taehyung’s fingers, fondly smiling at him.

Seokjin went back to their previous position, the stiffness and anxiety from Taehyung’s body was gone, as his legs relaxed against Seokjin’s body. He settled in between Taehyung’s legs, carefully parting his entrance as his manhood slowly dipped into him, inch by inch until Taehyung engulfed him whole. “So good, Tae-ah. You take me so well. Always so beautiful.” Seokjin continued to coo out praises.

He rocked into Taehyung in a slow and languid pace, until he found Taehyung’s sweet spot, he quickened his pace, repeatedly thrusting in and out as he kept on hitting the same spot. The angle was perfect for it. Taehyung was evidently trembling beneath him, sputtering out inaudible moans, trails of blazing fire igniting him from within as  Seokjin was buried deep inside him. Each thrust caused Taehyung to gradually lose sight of everything surrounding him, caught in the motion of being ruined by his lover, and enjoying every damn minute of it.

“So good. Right there. Ahh, hyung, harder.” Taehyung choked out, and the sight of Taehyung looking utterly fucked out, suddenly drew out Seokjin’s fangs, the urge was unstoppable, he lowered himself on to Taehyung as he ravished his neck, the sweet taste of Taehyung’s blood had Seokjin biting back several moans.

The repeated penetration as well as Seokjin’s fangs against his neck, sent Taehyung’s senses into overdrive, everything around him cut into white noise as his vision faded to black, Taehyung released, the intensity of his arousal became too much for him to handle. He was blissfully on cloud nine, a feeling which was incomparable to anything else. His body shook violently as Seokjin slowed down the pace, letting him fully release, waiting for Taehyung’s body to stop trembling. “You did so good, baby. So, so good. Hang on for a little bit, ok?” Taehyung nodded, catching his breath as he waited for his body to calm down.

Once Seokjin felt Taehyung’s body relax, he continued to burrow his way in, relentlessly devouring Taehyung. Even if his entire body felt like jelly, Taehyung lifted his hips up, grinding himself on Seokjin as he met his thrusts halfway, causing Seokjin to groan out several moans of pleasure. This was unlike anything he ever felt before, maybe it was the act of doing it with someone you loved that electrified the sex, turning it into something more than just sex. Although he was brutally fucking Taehyung into oblivion, he was doing it while he was consumed with an overwhelming surge of love.

He felt a familiar fire pooling in his abdomen, shattering his entire thought process, just as he was about to pull out, Taehyung uttered. “No. Wanna feel you inside me.” Those words unleashed intense waves of pleasure as Seokjin released inside, excess fluids dripping out of Taehyung. His body dropped to the bed, laying beside Taehyung as he caught his breath, exhaustion creeping up on him.

“So, how was it for your first time? I hope I didn’t hurt you, kinda lost myself back there.” Seokjin whispered, as he stood up to grab a damp towel to clean themselves up with. “More than I could have ever imagined. Can we do it again?” Taehyung retorted causing Seokjin to let out a hearty laugh.

Man, he could really picture himself spending one lifetime after the next with Taehyung by his side.

Seokjin clutched Taehyung in his arms, comforted by the warmth Taehyung exuded. “You’re really something, Taehyung-ah.” “Hopefully a good kind of something?” Taehyung asked in a cute manner, Seokjin pinched his cheek. “The best kind.”

Who knew that a newly turned vampire would gradually turn Seokjin’s life upside down? If anything, he was grateful, that first bite would be the beginning of an eternity with Taehyung. He didn’t know what the future had in store for them, but either way, he found the purest form of happiness.

It was love at first bite.

If you've made it this far, Thank you for reading this!
