Chapter Text
“I just want to ask you something.” Is what Fukase had said before telling Len to meet up in a field of flowers nearby their high school. The field was full of dandelions and daisies, with a huge tree in the centre making it look serene and breathtaking. It was by extreme luck that the place was intact, given the fact that certain highschoolers go out of their way to vandalize property. They were sitting under the tree, during a night fully illuminated by the moon. Len was happily picking dandelions and giving them silly names before sending them off to ride the wind. Fukase glanced at him, heart pounding in his chest.
”A-Are you going to prom?” He asked nervously.
”I hope.. Honestly, wearing a suit feels like a rite of passage. What if it looks wrong on me? Would you be able to tell I’m trans? I don’t know! Do you think I deserve to be in a suit? I mean, I can’t show up in a dress, right? But it feels like a big thing, showing up to an event like this in a suit.”
”I see.” Fukase plucked a daisy from the ground and took off the petals one by one. Len looked at him, confused by the short answer. Fukase would usually assure him.
”Fukase, don’t tell me you’re not going!”
When he heard Len say his name, his heart nearly jumped out of his chest.
”No, it’s just that.. I was wondering if you wanted to go the prom with me.”
Len’s eyes were wide, face flushed beet red. He dropped the flower he was holding, unblinking.
”Holy shit! Fukase, I’d absolutely love to go with you!” He admitted, grinning. Len threw his arms around Fukase, giving him a warm hug while also knocking them both to the ground. This hug felt more at home than his hugs with Piko; it felt like he belonged, and he never wanted to let go. The moonlight lit Fukase’s eyes in such a way that his red irises glowed and twinkled like the stars above. Len looked up at him, smiling softly, which caused Fukase to smile back, both faces tinted a shade of pink.
”Holy fucking shit. Your eyes are so pretty.” The blonde held his gaze at him, causing Fukase’s face to turn an even deeper shade of pink.
”You’re pretty.”
”Aah! Don’t say that!” Len rolled over, off of Fukase and on the ground next to him.
Fukase smirked.
”Or what?”
”Or this.” Len playfully punched his arm, pretending to be mad.
”Owwww, it hurts.” Fukase whined sarcastically. He plucked another daisy and handed it to Len. Len joyfully stuffed it in his pocket.
“It’s awfully late. I’ll see you at prom then.” Len grinned.
”Can’t wait.”
