Chapter 1: introduction

yahoo!! time for my silly little sekai units!! i unironically came up with these on the spot (minus the first group) and they turned out so well im so proud of my quick thinking skills. if this is unreadable i apologize in advance. anyway, each one of these units is to replace an already existing one (eg old vbs and new vbs both have the same street music style) so i'll list the units here quickly with each unit theyre replacing!!

Chapter 2: marionettes

Summary:

the nightcord at 25:00 -like group, consisting of tsukasa, toya, and mafuyu.

Notes:

i actually put the most thought into them so this is probably gonna be the most detailed!! starting out strong ig

woo. okay. a little nervous. they are my children and i want to do this unit justice. so lets start with a more detailed version of what was in the intro

marionettes
members: tsukasa, toya, mafuyu, and niigo miku. mafuyu is the leader.

sekai: created from the emotion of being controlled. tsukasa by his fate to be a star (even though its no longer what he wishes for), toya by his father and classical, being forced into a path he didnt want before he was even born, and mafuyu and her mother making her be a beloved and perfect honors student. their sekai appears as a large hall-like room shrouded in darkness, containing their respective instruments. tsukasa has a piano, toya has a violin, and mafuyu has a flute.

formation: mafuyu posted short clips of original flute songs under the alias yuki. toya decided to try and find joy in violin to make his music sound better and whole like hers. spoiler alert, it didnt work. in a state of aggravation toya messaged yuki to which she took it upon herself to try and show him in person. and so they started meeting up! tsukasa then hears about it from toya and decided to look for her on his own (during school hours mind you). another spoiler, it went awful. from the way she carried herself to her smile and even something miniscule like how she put one foot in front of the other, it broke tsukasa. he saw himself in her and he hated it. he realized he would probably end up the same way as her, an empty shell to be puppeted around by whoevers needs it suits. and he lost it. just plopped himself down at miya girls and started crying on the cold hard concrete. toya eventually showed up after school for the meetup but uh oh, theres tsukasa. hes just quietly whispering over and over to himself "i dont want to be a star anymore. i dont want to be a star, i dont want to be a star." huh. tsukasa follows him to the meetup to try and actually meet this girl thats distorting his world as he speaks. as toya and mafuyu talk, tsukasa eventually asks if he could join and play piano. toya tries to explain that they arent a band or anything, but it promptly cut off by mafuyu agreeing. she thought maybe the violin/flute duet her and toya were working on could be their first song if some piano was added, so she began to look for the file on her phone. she also thought that maybe having a place where they could be the empty husks that they are could be therapeutic, in a way, or at least somewhat relieving. it was with this thought in mind, as mafuyu opened what she thought was her and toya's unfinished duet, that they found their sekai.

other details: they all came up with their band name after realizing sekai brought them together because they all felt controlled by something in their lives. their area items are; an old script of tsukasa's, an intricate masquerade mask for mafuyu, torn up attempts at music of toya's, a dull pair of kid scissors for miku, a shattered vase with a wilting rose inside and three microphones representing them all, and the iconic speakers

unit song: aisowarai (fake smile) by kairiki bear. chosen more so for lyric content and less for instruments used, since i wasn't able to find any: a, vocaloid songs with matching lyric content and piano, violin, and flute covers, or b, original vocaloid songs with matching lyric content and piano, flute, and violin.

um i think thats enough. actually. oops maybe coz i have a whole samsung note dedicated to just them though.

ITS ANOTHER MARIONETTES CHAPTER WHOOPS!!! i kinda only really talked about how they like were born into this world but like heres their GROUP DYNAMIC and stuff!!! yeah next chapter is aster (if nothing goes wrong) dw

okay so first i wanna talk about their unit outfits!! like i said the most thought and planning went into these guys so i actually thought of this! mafuyu's is basically her jackpot sad girl event outfit (its called like trapped marionette or something but idk) because like of course it is. toya's is similar to his nocturne interlude outfit but not really. its the same sweater/jacket thing but underneath is different. i drew like a white tshirt with a black longsleeve underneath and then like black pants with a vine-like pattern on it, thorns with no rose. tsukasa's looks a little funky but like its a white shirt (it has like a turtleneck thing going on like it goes high on his neck) and i put like a line down the middle???? im gonna find out how to attach a picture istg.. (actually maybe ill add a picture chapter coz i have an aster!mizuki drawing too...) anyway that and then theres like a black big sweater thing on top, and its like falling off his left shoulder, it doesnt stay on there. he also has no hands. hilarious. theres a rose over the left part of his chest (so by his left shoulder where it droops) and he has shorts. its kind of casual to oppose how hes a star and wearing all these showy costumes yknow (i made that up on the spot but it makes sense so.)

now i can talk about their overall dynamic!! this is another image that i have (the same one as the outfits actually) and it goes like
mafuyu: i am so fucking depressed
toya: its ok mafuyu :(
tsukasa: depression is like capsaicin, if you ignore it it goes away!!
mafuyu is 😐 depressed, toya is 🙁 depressed, and tsukasa is 😀 depressed
they all get along really well (toya and tsukasa obviously, have you heard of the well-known and renowned mafuyu tsukasa fishing buddies au, and toya and mafuyu i imagine are just really silent and like understanding each other without even saying a word, just eye contact. like toya and mafuyu will be doing their loser-to-loser communication and tsukasas like "wtf are you doing?? staring contest??" and mafuyu goes "actually we were contemplating how to find our own personal reasons to justify why we were born" and tsukasa goes "man thats deep. wanna play checkers" and im just writing a whole conversation rn but then toya goes "oh hey that reminds me of how we were talking about how morality and inspiration black and white blah blah" and tsukasa goes "damn okay edgelords splatoon it is") and enjoys playing/writing music together. toya tends to make heavily orchestrated pieces, mafuyu tends to have a lot of emptiness filled with sounds in post (like rain or smn) because she wasnt allowed to play an instrument for a long time because of her mom (her flute is from school) so she knows how to make emptiness sound good and not empty (like her soul 💔 brocken frfr) and tsukasa makes like upbeat music with sad undertones (like his life)

unrelated note but i was watching spells only while i wrote this and i wanted to share that i was playing genshin on my living room pc so my mom could see and i did like 4 pulls on the kokomi banner (i didnt want kokomi but i wanted her more than ganyu so) just for the sake of it and i got dori on my third pull. didnt even want em but. it was probably the guaranteed 4 star from 10 pulls but like that was funny. like i was just like "oh lets do a couple pulls yk" and then BAM another claymore for the collection (i have so many. like beidou, chongyun, xinyan, noelle, and now dori. i could make a whole team out of that tf)

Chapter 4: aster the world

Notes:

yahoo its the funny trans people!! the story behind their name is kinda funny so i'll tell it to you right now.
basically everyone already had names except for them and the next group (the wxs-coded one) had names so i needed to come up with names because i was annoyed with calling them their beta names. i looked up how to make a band name and started compiling new words (one of which was aster, shocker). i couldnt quite come up with anything i liked and went "hmm maybe theyd come up with their name sorta random and itd be like fantasista [squad]" so i went "what their goal? to surpass the world and be trans" and one two aster the world. hilarious

okay so this group its not gonna be as detailed because i did marionettes like a solid While before i even had this idea (i did it not long after i found out about the sekai comic maker from a tweet saying something like "if they remove the showtime ruler event/story im gonna poorly make it in the sekai comic maker i swear" (they removed it have fun twitter user) but marionettes was just coz i could)

aster the world
members: mizuki, airi, akito, and vbs rin and len

sekai: literally just the trans emotions.. theyre trans bro thats it i made them randomly cmon. sekai probably looks like the normal street sekai but less street sekai and more funny alleyways with less shady more pride flags. rin and len are still funny little mischief makers and akito is now the one that has to put up with their nonsense (every once in a blue moon akito is spared and it gets put onto airi)

formation: nothing special, they were all music loving friends who thought world domination with prideful sound would be funny and went and actually did it. it was for the bit at first but now theyre actually invested. kinda like me and my friends but if we actually went through with it (we had the idea to make a band called vocal kittenz in grade school dont even ask) (we also all found out we were trans later on LMAO)

other details: okay i havent thought about their area items but uh. why not? mizuki's area item is the ribbon from their sister (the latest mizuki event on jp), airi's is probably something like makeup, maybe from her childhood (like that one card with the silly little airi and the badly done lipstick), and i have no idea what akito's is tbh. like actually i don't know!? like??? im probably overthinking it coz i like akito but like????? idk, OH i had this idea that like before he transitioned he had his hair in twintails because he thought that he looked like miku LMAO and like a cute idol girl idk so maaaaybe like.. something to do with that? i wanna say scissors but i dont wanna do scissors again so maybe like. okay nevermind i was only thinking of scissors damn 😔 idk could be like. dysphoria hoodie, maybe like (this is something i made in real life) a braid with like trans flag colors from mizuki or something, something like miku/mikuo related, if i think of something ill add it ig

unit song: villain by teniwoha. this song is about akito /hj it has the right kind of sound (like marionettes' unit song doesnt have the right instruments but this sounds like funny vbs street sounds) and also the lyrics are of course 💙💗🤍💗💙 so it actually hits all the boxes. one of the first unit songs i had in place. AND MIZUKI ALREADY SINGS IT TOO

Chapter 5: new vbs aka trans vbs (in direct opposition to old vbs aka not vbs)

so im thinking i make two chapters for each, first is named the unit name and expands on the intro, then second is named the units beta name (what i called them before i actually named them proper) and talks about other random stuff thats less creation more how they chill day to day. so heres aster part 2

yippee now i get to talk about the funny mizuki outfit i designed yahoo :) akito can probably just wear his flyer outfit because i really like it or i could think of something banger (or maybe the outfit i gave him in another swap i did??? 👀) okay either way basically they just wear street casual, no real color scheme but they look gaming asf. the outfit i made for mizuki consists of a black shirt (literally like 99% of the shirts i draw are like turtlenecks my characters simply do not have necks) (and this is no exception) with a pink jacket overtop and a white skirt that sits around their waist. also a heart necklace!! maybe its a locket with a group photo or something inside idk!! it looks so cool and i didnt draw their legs coz i didnt wanna but they totally have knee highs and doc martin lookin boots on. neiither mizuki nor airi really wear street casual so i dont have anything to go off of for them but i think flyer akito is really nice :( so maybe add some white stripes on mizuki's jacket thing to justify the like entirely white outfit that is akitos flyer idk man. airi deffo girlbosses even though idk what she wears. slay 💞

their group dynamic is chaos and also akitos personal hell. mizuki is the group therapist, airi is "slay yass queen slay yass slay queen slay", and akito is forced to hit the griddy by rin and len. (they tell him "dance white boy dance") sometimes they get all sentimental and wholesome but then someone says something stupid (as they should) and theyre back to chaos. literally the ideal friend group right here. they just like. chill. and be sad every once in a while. and its awesome. rin and len are not part of the aforementioned sad however. if someone is sad and wants to be cheered up theyll probably go to the sekai and how can you not laugh at kagamine mochi cmon now

idrk what else to say about them since theyre probably the ones with the least backstory just "these are the funny lgbts" but like. i like them a lot. really close friends who can confide in each other during serious moments and know just what to say but also forcing akito to hit the griddy. wholesome fr

Chapter 6: melomaniacal coup d'etat

the wonderlands x showtime like group consisting of kanade, emu, saki, and kohane.

Notes:

alright not really much to say for an intro but like here they are!!! the group that probably took the most time to finalize

i had to look up so much stuff and like SCOUR things for this group istg. still not v detailed but hey i tried to give them a formation story

melomaniacal coup d'etat
members: kanade, emu, saki, kohane, and wxs miku. emu is the leader.

sekai: created from the emotion of wanting to change others (for the better). more specifically, kanade and emu want to change others so that they dont end up like them, and saki and kohane want to change others to allow them the chance to have a life like they do. their sekai is like that of the original wxs, a large and spacious carnival :) how fun!! but maybe a little more abandoned than one would like

formation: kanade and emu had already been performing together in order to achieve their goal, when one day a group of two young girls that had been gaining popularity in their performances approached and said theyd like to team up!! kanade and emu didnt really get it, but if they had a good enough reason or similar aspirations then emu would be willing to welcome them with open arms. saki and kohane went and then explained how they wanted to be like them, spreading a message to those through song and being beloved by many!! they wanted to inspire others and be like that of muses. kanade was kinda ":\ idk emu,," but whoops emu already invited them to the gc haha :) they gave wonderhoy energy!!! so BAM now theyre a group of four from two groups of two :)

other details: since theyre the wxs group, i have to specify they do less of what wxs does in canon (plays and stuff) and more so does like the 3dmvs (dance and sing funny song)

unit song: arisama by chinozo. chosen for lyric content and sound. this song overall has a very upbeat and cheery tone to it (like that of saki/kohane) while having some heavier lyrics such as "Dance, dance, in the worst mess" or "On a lonely day, I use a song to pretend I don’t have an inferiority complex" (breaking formality for a sec to say that is LITERALLY KANADE WTF I DIDNT KNOW THAT WAS IN THERE????? HELLO???? KANADE YOISAKI IN MY WALLS????) alongside that (like that of kanade/emu) and overall having many lyrics that speak to a someone, calling to them, with lines such as "Make this song the signal and shout out" (representative of the whole group)

Chapter 7: depression x showtime

i dont have anything to say about their unit outfits this time so ill talk about HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO FINALIZE THEM AHH
like. i made all the groups at the same time. it took me ELEVEN DAYS TO FIND THEIR UNIT SONG. ELEVEN. DAYS. ??????????????????? unfair. it also took the same amount of time to give them an actual name. like seriously you have no idea how many times i have them listed as dxs its horrifying. like everyone already had a unit song and then THEY.!!?.!?.!.?!.?!.?!. like it hurt man,, anyway i was so glad when they were DONE. grrrrr (i still love them dont get me wrong but i was VERY picky for them to be RIGHT). also i can talk about their group name for a little so lemme. basically i tried to come up with like a vivids + bad dogs = vivid bad squad thing and came up with "melodic nothingness" for kanaemu and something with muses in the name for sakikoha. stuff happened and i couldnt get it to sound good so thats not how their name is. melomania is like a fervent of passionate love of music, and coup d'etat came up when i looked up revolution synonyms :) i was gonna call them "a melodic coup d'etat" but that sounded like a lethargic coup d'etat which i did not want so combine with past idea melomania and one two bam unit name done :)
im kinda thinking yume yume jump energy on kanades outfit, emu energy on emu outfit (maybe like the once upon a dreamer outfit but that doesnt really go well with the melodic clover or whatever that outfit was called so maybe kanade could have an outfit like that one minori one that looks good on everyone) (its angel of hope and i like it a lot) (still doesnt go w once upon a dreamer nvm give emu captain mix candy energy with energetic citrullus kinda color (make it match with kanachan) and doodle free style outfit typa thing could be cool. sorry i just listed 70 outfits give kanachan angel of hope in her color and emu a custom outfit that looks idol uniformy like it with emu energy/accessories), saki can have her from tokyo outfit (aurora rainbow coat) since it works w angel of hope and kohane can have something like her flyer outfit (if you didnt know by now i like the flyer outfits :( dont even like the song that much man) (pretty color scheme. pretty characters. same reason im in love w the walk on and on outfits on jp rn THEYRE SO PRETTY 💘💓💖💞💕 AND THEYRE PERMS WHY ARE ALL THE PRETTIEST VBS CARDS PERMANENT FIRST SUNFLOWERS NOW THIS??!??!?!??! I LOVE VBS)

now for the better part, group dynamic
obviously there was kind of a divide in the beginning since kanade and emu were friends and saki and kohane were friends but they literally didnt know each other. also theres the whole fact that sakikoha are like "wow! we were idolizing these guys!! now were here!!" and also "wow. we were idolizing these guys." lmao,, but they eventually began warming up to each other and now theyre all good besties. maybe more than besties idk. sakikoha sounds like an adorable ship idk about you guys. poly mmcd 😳????? anyway. theyre just funnies at heart... my funnies. i know i said aster were the memers ft wholesome but theyre like. its like that petit sekai episode where empty miku doesnt know about cup ramen AT ALL coz she lives in sekai and they have a little ramen party in the sekai!! its the little things like that that make them. i. believe. emu is the resident group extrovert, kanade is like "wait,, emu,, no,, please,, i dont,, wanna,, go,, outside!!" while saki is like "cmonnn kanade its good for your health!!" and she routinely goes along with emus shenanigans no matter how silly they are but kohane has a little more logic when it comes to picking and choosing which of the Emu Shenanigans are worth it. for example, the aforementioned Get Kanade to Go Outside plan is one she frequently endorses, but ones such as Scare Whoever Turns this Corner with a Party Popper (For a Prolonged Amount of Time) or the "fill x with x" genre (e.g. fill sakis room with fog from fog machine, fill the absolutely huge void known as emus mouth with an entire bag of mini marshmallows (she deadass can imo), fill literally whatever emus thinking about that day with glitter) are typically vetoed (much to kanades relief). im kinda thinking of random sol things rn (slice of life) so lemme spitball for a sec. kanade is really cold so emu always fake shivers standing next to her. sometimes it isnt a fake shiver though and shes like "WOW i knew you were cold but im SHIVERING here!!!! here lemme warm you up" and then she just tackle-latches onto kanade. its her signature move. kohane likes making little trinkets for the group and saki had the idea to turn it into an aesthetic for the group, so they have all these little clinky bits and bracelets and clips on their outfits and in their hair, even on a daily basis and sometimes she'll notice a new one she made and she does a cute little kohane smile. ah i love her. see above i love vbs message. theyre just. i could keep yes anding myself into oblivion with cute mmcd ideas. to everyone who saw the intro and was dying for this chapter, i hope youre satisfied with what i did with them :)

Chapter 8: lobelia

Summary:

the leo/need-like group, consisting of ichika, nene, minori, and ena.

Notes:

okay i accidentally got really invested in this group after giving them a million covers because its so easy to find songs that fit them. its also fun to write about former groups

yahoo!! i really wasnt a big fan of ichika before this group since i didnt like how it felt like she was unnecessarily plastered everywhere (lead l/n singer, on the title screen, gets popular song covers for no reason e.g. roku chounen, hibana, ghost rule) but she actually started to grow on me after this. yuck. ichika moss. blue haired miku fan ichika moss. growing on me. but shes kinda cute idk enemies to lovers

lobelia
members: ichika, nene, minori, ena, and niigo luka. ichika is the leader.

sekai: created from the emotions of loneliness and betrayal from those who they held close. ichika feels alone, minori misses them but understands she should move on, ena is resentful (minus mizuki because they are 💅) and nene is worried that theyll be okay without their former support system. she just kinda feels bad. they all have this sort of melancholy and theres this desperation in ichika mainly that faintly resounds in all of them that theyd do anything to go back to the way it was before. back when it was easier, back when it was better. their sekai looks like that one haruka card with all of mmj where theyre in that sort of empty area where theres a thin layer of water thats like perfectly crystal clear and reflects. sometimes little visions of what once was or what couldve been will play out. (forgot to mention but in marionettes' sekai it looks like theres strings attaching their arms up but its a trick of the light and there is no string)

formation: that aforementioned desperation (mainly in ichika) had brought them all to find something to fill the void of what once was, mainly how they could never view music the same. they had been ruined, and they all were aching for something to cure them from the pain that the music they once loved had brought them. so they all came together. that otherworldly and ethereal pocket dimension they all shared with a chilling silence gave them the brilliant idea to rewrite music for themselves. and so they did. or at least, tried their hardest.

other details: holy that formation section was all freestyle??? anyway im thinking ichika plays guitar (obviously), minori on vocals (she wanted to be an idol so of course she would have good vocal cords in there ykyk) or maybe like. funny bonus instruments. like the triangle. ena on drums (shinonomes being aggressive on drums is something i need) and nene on keyboard (trust)

unit song: lotus eater by aoris. not quite chosen for either, but partially lyric content as the instruments don't match anything resembling an l/n styled band. it's more so chosen for the fact that a lotus-eater is metaphorically someone who spends all their time indulging in pleasures as opposed to dealing with their actual problems (paraphrased). however, i got more intrigued looking at the more literal meaning. in greek mythology (this is taken from wikipedia btw) lotus-eaters were people who lived on an island where these lotuses were their only food source basically, and so these lotuses allowed them to just sleep in apathy. i quote "After they ate the lotus, they would forget their home and loved ones, and only long to stay with their fellow lotus-eaters. Those who ate the plant never cared to report, nor return." this connects with lobelia coz instead of actually dealing with their trauma and sadness or whatever they just up and made another band to fill the void. this song would probably actually work better with radiate (the instruments even fit man) but i really like their pick at the same time so im happy with lobelia having lotus eater. PLUS, LOBELIA IS A FLOWER AND SO IS A LOTUS!!!!! it was a coincidence but how cool is that. so this is them coz they just "im gonna have fun with my new band and spend all my time in my stupid little phone world and never come out so i dont have to deal with the consequences of my actions" yk

Chapter 9: help my band broke up (so i made a new one)

idk wtf that means dont ask me its literally midnight as i write this sentence. its actually the birthday of a friend i havent talked to in months today!! happy bday dude,,..
anyway. lobelia. first off has gotta be their namesake. so i like looking at random-ass flower meanings and shit so i was lookin for that AND THERE WAS A WHOLE DANG WIKIPEDIA PAGE???????? i was so happy... and so i was looking for a flower with an appropriate meaning and an actual good name. like not a specific color of a flower or a really common one (tulip, hydrangea) since those are like. meh to me. except for hydrangea i like that song by lonepi. anyway. so i found lobelia and it was listed with malevolence as its meaning. i looked it up went "oh sheesh not them" but one of the synonyms was bitter (for malevolent) so im like "THEM RIGHT HTERE TUEHTEMT HTJEMTKHAKJLK" so their name is lobelia :) lobelias also look really pretty so mmmm bonus

ok i was gonna go to sleep but not anymore!! (i saved above as a draft for the time being but not anymore!!) so im kinda speedrunning coz i wanna be asleep before like 1:30 ish at the ABSOLUTE latest (its like 12:50 as i write this) (am) so um. im back. w lobelia.

like i mentioned, their unit song is lotus eater so they kinda started by just using each other as an unhealthy coping mechanism but overtime they actually started having bonds above and beyond that so it went from "im using these people as leverage for my own sanity" to "these people make me feel welcome and are actually probably good for me" and im just making all these groups happy. i mean they all have sad so i feel bad i suppose. lobelia is definitely more of a looming sort of lingering dread-like feeling type of sadness as opposed to aster which is kind of like an aftertaste or marionettes which is like the their whole raison d'etre though. i dont know if i wanna talk about what happened to the former groups here or in a separate chapter (leaning toward the latter) so i cant really run through their backstories here but um. here. i see ichika as having been sort of codependent on leo/need, she was with them for so long and just thought they would always be there. and then they werent. when nightcord broke up ena was SUPER fuckin pissed, like she was NOT having it but there was nothing she could do about it. shinonomes are both spiteful bitches (except akito isnt actually any sort of spiteful towards vbs, ignore that) so she was just like "well fuck you then kanade and mafuyu!!!!!! damn!!!!!!" but is still friends with mizuki (as mentioned in the last chapter theyre a little 💅) and overall dealt with it pretty well (minus the anger toward everyone not mizuki). like i said in the tags (which again i have like 5 million relationship ones coz I FORGOT YOU CAN ADD MORE THAN TWO NAMES I) i havent really thought up what happened to mmj, but something like haruka and shizuku got tired of minori (and airi said ok then bye) or maybe minori was throwing their chances of being successful or something. ok why is it that every time i think "lets write mmj lore" it ends in "oh thats kinda good...... thats. i like that".. either way i think thats actually kinda really fitting considering theyre in radiate now (another idol group whos chapters are up next) who is really focused on fame and success, so i hope ill stick w that. if someone whos actually read the mmj story and cares a lot about their lore and characters wants to like propose something go for it, it might convince me to read about mmj,,, no promises though. so another advancement is made in the mmj lore, and then literally all of wxs exploded so nene was left on her own in custody of nenerobo (to the ruinene believers rui did not win the custody battle for her) so now shes here in lobelia. group dynamic yippee (insert yippee gif here)

also about that birthday i wished him happy birthday coz im not a monster and he was just like "YOOOO ty" and im like "wtf i can see our previous messages from april 16th my man... anyway"

bonus - how i stumbled across everyone's unit songs:
i already mentioned marionettes but i looked at the song in the playlist coz i recognized it for A. kairiki bear and B. because i had already listened to it. i then saw the lyrics fit them really well (esp. the bit at the end thats like "oh? it seems i can no longer smile..") so it became their unit song. i did a lot of searching to try and find one that had the right instruments or covers available. i say covers coz like for example i wanted to pick darling by maretu at one point but only found piano and violin. flutists get on that /hj (reason i wanted darling was mainly for the "suki na hito no suki na hito tte dake de kirai" section (until "te o tsunaide ba o tsunaide") but just look at the lyrics and you can see a few things i hope). aster's was obvious to me, filled that in like instantly. like i said in their chapter, mmcd took like 11 days to find a unit song coz i knew what i wanted and i couldnt find it. couldnt pick something too happy or negative, needed both. i was bored one night and wanted to listen to arisama coz i hadnt in a while and suddenly the lyrics hit me and im like "did. did i just find their unit song." i was shocked and yes! it was their unit song. finally. i dont remember why but i looked up the song lotus eater (i think i just wanted to know the lyrics since i didnt know them but thought the song was fire) and then since i didnt specify by aoris the wikipedia article for literal lotus-eaters came up. a few steps later unit song picked. and then i already said radiate's story above :)

NOT THAT IM GOING TO IM GOOD W THE GROUPS LMAO
but i was thinking when making marionettes that akito and/or ena could join, and after making aster i was thinking rui could probably have joined coz transmasc rui agenda literally canon. THEN not too long ago i was thinking about the trans mafuyu agenda i see a lot (its so awesome like. i love it so much. i am not a firm he/him trans mafuyu believer but those who are are so cool,.,., jkhkhhjjhjhhhh,,.,,, the reason i didnt move rui while i wasnt too attached to the order yet was because i didnt want radiate to be an all girls group though,, like if i had two ruis hed be in both groups. roborui real???? anyway lmao.

ok so thats that!1 i can talk a lil about dynamic but its not gonna be like. long. or anything. so!! i think im gonna do something a lil different than the others groups partially coz its fun mostly because theres so many of them. but like.!!??!!?!? lets start
rui and shizuku: as i said they are besties. starting w the default kinda ones coz thosell be short and sweet. 1000% inspired by the idea that the rui in the mmj livestreams is the same rui that we know and hes a huge mmj junkie.
haruka and an: theyre literally already childhood best friends, same as that here. less competitive (like that one comic of them w the guns in the arcade or whatever) and more just kinda. idk same thing but toned down a lil i suppose. more cynical haruka. sorry to the mmj fans for so harshly mischaracterizing them btw, idk much about their personalities so im just going on that + changing a bit because shuffle units. unless you like the idea of someone who knows not much about them taking them and switching them up yknow. unimaginable handling of mmj members. yes like the toya card
shiho and honami: like i said earlier (kinda) they havent talked in ages but are starting to become friends again through performances.
everything else rui coz listing every relationship would turn out like. just look at the tags: i can imagine rui kinda coaching an with singing tips and stuff and its overall nice and wholesome :)!! rui and haruka are maybe kinda tense coz theyre both headstrong, confident, and overall similar, and i can imagine that being why they dont like each other. on the other hand, frenemies!!!! rui/shiho and rui/honami im not sure what to make of, rui probably chills w shiho every now and again since shizuku loves her shii-chan, but shiho doesnt really talk to him just the two of them, mostly with someone else along with them. rui and honami could maybe get along but like??/ idk. its not like they arent friends coz they perform together but maybe theyre like. they dont interact much but when they do its like an unlikely alliance lmao.
shizuku and everyone else: okay so i personally think shizuku/haruka have bad blood here., no real reason but i like it. idk about shizuan but like?? maybe another unlikely alliance thing, or like they just have constant confusion between each other. head empty shizuku and dumbass (affectionate) an. shizuku n shiho is obviously same as their normal dynamic, "i love you shii-chan!!!!!!"/"omg please go away (ily too)" but i have to mention it yk. shizuku/honami kinda "oh youre shihos sister hi miss :)" very polite with each other for no reason i feel.
haruka and shiho are probably a good fit for each other, both kind of bold yet sweet people you feel? and then haruka honami i have no idea. maybe they do something funny for the fans and theyre like. devious. idk could be funny asf but unrealistic.

GUYS IM ABOUT TO COMBUST. okay so i tried writing this once before and i cant. help. basically remember how i mentioned that i wanted to make a band with my friends when i was younger??? (in one of the aster chapters) so that but not quite. aster went and did it, but here vbs only ever really entertained the idea but never pursued it (yet they all still ended up with music). toya eventually succumbed to his fate of classical and was like "street? miss me with that" and gave up on vbs. except for once. there was one time, before he started meeting up with mafuyu, and after he thought he was just gonna not be able to yknow live life the way he wanted. tsukasa gave him the idea and dont ask me how but he revolted against his dad and decided he was gonna stick with vbs. that was not what happened. he got dragged back into it and ended up moving on with marionettes with no regrets. akito n toya had like a big fight not unlike the one in the vbs main story where toya was like "YOU DONT GET IT AKITO I TRIED REALITY ISNT ALL SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS GROW UP" but akito and his whole slew of problems, killer wail 64 lookin ass just deadpans at toya and tells him to fuck off. and rip vbs LMAO. but not really. akito/an/kohane never became a band but like theres no harsh feelings between them and akito apologized to toya after the fight and was somewhat forgiven. so overall no resentment lingers w them. yay? now heres the reason theres an akitoya tag on this. ginger is a boy kisser. he had a crush on toya!??!?!??!?!?!??!?! *explodes them with my mind* im crying,. AND HERES THE WORST(?) PART. IT WAS UNREQUITED HGJKHDFJKHSJKLHDLJS WHEN I HAD THAT IDEA I DIED ON THE SPOT.......... akito wanted toya to keep trying and fighting if he had too in order to escape the fate he didnt want not only for his own happiness with his future but because this was the boy he liked.... and he just kinda. left. like hes not happy w classical by any means but hes not complaining. he cannot escape w akito to be free 💔💔🥀🔗🖤😓😭😭😭💔 and so akito has one (1) song about toya thats not a duet and toya has zero (0). thats how you know /hj but anyway i feel bad ignoring anhane nation over here so... !?!? idk they kinda watched from the sidelines and an was like "wtf theres so much going on here. the tension. the anger. and im just watching. starting to think vbs mightve been a bad idea." and kohane was more sort of "nooo shinonome-kun,,, aoyagi-kun,,,, you two please.... :( i dont like seeing you two so upset, especially over each other !!" sorry i have favorites in vbs im sorry :( i do love an and kohane though,, gimme some good anhane events to read pls 💖 so anyway thats vbs. its been eating away at me so bad.

this one is a lot simpler!! also i just noticed that every group has a three-letter abbreviation except for niigo. rude much?? like even 25ji is four characters man.,., anyway basically tu casa met mafuyu and had his little lightbulb moment, and realized he didn't wanna be a star at all. he just kinda broke down after that. and so clearly for two reasons now (both tsukasa) wxs went poof. tsukasa for obvious reasons, rui got really depressed because tsukasa did, he kinda blamed it on himself and was just not up to it. then emu left for the kanaemu duo or something and nene was left alone and joined lobelia. even before tsukasa broke they were still kinda unhappy and just like "gotta keep going for the fans right" and then minor inconvenience and WHABAM wxs dies

niigo:
so niigo was doing their whole online messaging program at an hour past midnight thing when eventually kanade was like "i think im gonna quit." she put in her two weeks notice 💀 but it was because to her she wouldnt be able to save anyone like that, and not long after/before/around the same time, mafuyu got forced by her mom to quit. that one petit sekai episode where mizuki goes "hey why dont we call it quits with 25:00?" but they meant the band and it wasnt mizuki but collectively kanamafu. then mizuki just kinda said "damn. its ok though enanan ill never leave you 🧡🧡🧡 ily ena" (see mizuena tag)
