Fox Fluff Cuddles and Training Trouble

Summary:

Seraphine suffer’s from writer’s block trying to work on her upcoming Ocean Song project. Ahri meanwhile needs to dodge her workout with the girls, and finds a mischievous, yet temporary solution.

Notes:

This was the closest I could do to a spooky Halloween fic.

I’ve moved my Fics to a new Twitter, @GeneticIvyFics I will only be posting my own fics and reposting Fics that deserve it over there so you don’t have to deal with anything I do on main. (Namely RT art I enjoy)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

A couch sits lonely in a well worn mansion, a single girl sits tapping her fingers on the edge of her laptop. Quite a few hours have gone by, to no avail. Zeri needed her to come up with one song of her own for the project. A small noise pulls her from the trance of her work.

Seraphine looks about hoping that somehow one of the girls was back from their ‘hunting day trip’ up in mountains. The trip mostly consisted of the other three hunting Ahri while she worked out in her fox form. Her words echo in her head. “I love being plump, I can perform plump, and I cuddle better, but I need to be able to fit in Akali and Sara’s hoodie pockets, and it’s getting tight.”

A noise from behind her pulls her from her thoughts, and Seraphine whips her head around.

A little spooked Seraphine sits up grabbing for the pencil from the table in front of her.

The noise moves, this time Seraphine thinks it is coming from the kitchen.

Seraphine remembers what her girls told her to do. She puts her back towards one of the walls and looks for her phone.

The noise moves from the kitchen, creeping closer, a small pitter patter she almost recognized.

“Hello?” Seraphine calls out before suddenly feeling really dumb. “Wait Oh gods I'm the idiot that dies first in a horror movie.”

“You really need to relax dear, if this was a horror movie you’d be the one living to the end, you’re dating all the monsters remember?” A silky voice answers her, just out of view.

“Yeah…” Seraphine jumps, throwing the pencil. It carelessly vaults up and somewhere out of view. “Don’t do that.”

Ahri laughs from her careful perch on the back of the couch, her tiny pale fox form perfectly fitting atop it. “What’s the point of having the ‘kittydoor’ for me and Bao if I don’t use it to sneak up on my favorite human.”

“I… aren’t you supposed to be out getting hunted?”

“Yeah, but I gave them the slip, it’ll take them an hour to realize I just went to hide inside, weren’t you supposed to be writing a song for your new band mates?” Ahri’s words hurl barbs at Seraphine the fox didn’t intend.

“I’m stuck in a block.” Sera admits slowly walking back over to the couch. “I can’t seem to get anything done.”

“How about a change then? You’ve been sitting at that couch all morning, how about we go up to cuddle couch lounge around, we can order some Chinese food-“

Seraphine raises her hand to interrupt.

“Yes we’ll get it from the good restaurant, your mother won’t roll over in her grave today. Also please don’t raise your hand I nearly sucked your soul out your-“ A pillow flung from across the couch scored a direct hit and if not for Ahri’s quick reflexes, planting her claws into the couch she would of been knocked off. “Hey… I was talking.”

“Also no claws on the furniture.”

Ahri hisses at her. “You still good for cuddle couch?”

Seraphine gestures to all her work stuff. “Could we do all that but stay here? I think I’m too tired to move all my stuff.” Seraphine gestures to all her work stuff.

“I’m fine with that, but just cuddling, no working, or I’ll throw pillows at you.”

“I can do that.” Seraphine lays down, curling up, letting herself slink into the plush couch. Ahri’s small fox form cuddles up into Seraphine’s arms, letting the songstress drift off to sleep.

-Some Time Later-

Seraphine groggily wakes up to muffled sounds and the feeling of soft fur. As she slowly starts to regain her facilities she rubs into the plush fur, but a voice pulls her from the sensation. “Ahri, down.”

“She’s Fine Kai’sa, she was shivering so I just became her blanket it’s fine.” The mass of fur above her vibrates telling her that Ahri has assumed her largest form.

Evelynn’s voice chimed in. “We can get her blankets, you have to get back to work. You're the one who organized the training session, and now you’re dodging it.”

“I’m not dodging.” Ahri corrects. “I just want to keep her warm and-.”A lack of answer brings an awkward silence to the room.

Seraphine takes the opportunity to wrap her arms up and around Ahri, pulling her dire world sized form closer. “You said we were gonna cuddle.” She barely manages to get out with her still mostly asleep voice, but it was too muffled from the mountain of fur above her.

A chorus of “What?” comes from the crowd surrounding the couch.

Seraphine raises her voice. “I SAID AHRI SAID WE WERE GONNA CUDDLE!” she tightens her grip around the fox. “Make her do training tomorrow.”

A collective squeal erupts from the onlookers.

Akali spoke still in more of a higher pitched squeak than her normal voice. “That’s too cute.”

“Fine.” Kai’sa relents. “We can train tomorrow.”

“Yay!” Ahri exclaims before looking down to nip at Sera’s face. “I love you!”

Seraphine too tired to continue, passes back out amongst the fluff.

Sometime later Akali carries the massive sleeping fox, and Evelynn carries the precious star up to their shared bed, to sleep more comfortably.

-The Next Day-

Ahri finishes her breakfast to come outside to find all four of her partners waiting. “This is… unexpected.”

“I needed a change of pace, so I’ll be trying to write outside today.” Seraphine points to something on the table with her laptop. “I will have this child’s dart gun to shoot you if you try to come back to the house, and if you get hit I get to pick your movie night movie this month.”

“This isn’t going to go well for me is it?”

“Not at all.” Akali said with a smirk. “I stole that thing from Kayn, and it used to leave bruises.”

“What the hell? You all never actually hurt me.” Ahri pouted.

“We needed a proper incentive to keep you away from the house.” Evelynn adds. “All the doors but the screen door behind Seraphine is locked. You have the normal ten minute head start, we love you.” Evelynn shifts into her shadows, letting her creepy voice out. “Good luck.”

Ahri couldn’t help but let out a chuckle before dashing into her fox form, and dashing off into the woods.
