Back From the Dead

Summary:

Reigen never looked ugly in Serizawa’s eyes. Even when he made those ridiculous expressions when trying to impress a client.

But now, lying still on the ground, he looked ugly.

Chapter 1: The Pledge

Summary:

The belt floated in the air, an eerie blue glow – Mob still holding one end. It very slightly edged towards Reigen’s neck. Just enough to make Reigen’s eye widen before backing away quickly. Mob smiled quietly. He continued without pause, Reigen still standing in shock. He had never even considered Mob having that in him.

Chapter Text

Yellow flowers climbed the wall. They seemed to move and snake along the greenhouses glass panes, in a strange, unknown but innate dance. In the light, for just a second, Reigen’s hair took on a similar blistering yellow tone. It stunned Mob. The subtle beauty that appeared out of nowhere, flashed for a second and was then gone. Like a spirit, only Mob saw and only he could exorcise. The greenhouse plants were beautiful but nothing stood up to the shortish, blonde man that stood among them. His grey suit seemed to even stand out from the fluffy purple, pink and yellow plants. Long winding red bloody stems, with pristine white leaves. It was the juxtaposition that drew Mob the most. The collision.

Mob breathed audibly. The humid air creating a sense of claustrophobia biting at his lungs. He almost saw Reigen flinch, but it could just be his mind. His mind had been running in circles recently, debating, overthinking, crying.

Reigen hadn’t moved an inch, it was up to Mob. As he got nearer, he noticed how small Reigen was. How fragile. Where Mob had grown and shot up, Reigen had shrunk and been shot down. Now Reigen’s mouth was shut, there wasn’t much to impose with.

Mob was at least a head taller, his hair morphed from a bowl to a bit scruffier, pointer. Someone had discovered the power of pomade. Had Reigen taught him that?

This job had been thrown at him by Reigen calling him up out of nowhere. They hadn’t talked since... But Reigen hadn’t let on any awkwardness, instead taking on a brisk, business tone about a very well-paying job that would need Mob’s strength. At least he admitted that now. The rest was still fake as ever. Mob was pretty dense, but he knew Reigen now. He knew when he was lying, denying, lying to himself, to Mob. Especially about this.

‘Did you not like our kiss, Shishou?’

‘Really, Mob this isn’t the time.’

Mob placed a firm hand on Reigen’s shoulder.

He tried to turn away but couldn’t move. Mob wasn’t even using any powers. The air seemed so thick you could drown in it.

‘I see exactly who you are now, Mob,’ Reigen hissed, the malice practically dripping from his mouth. If it was ESP, you would see God knows. He didn’t even look at Mob, avoiding eye contact.

‘Do you hate me?’ the ever-present ‘Shishou’ missing in his anguish.

The only indication from Reigen, a slight flinch below his left eye. Then finally after a sigh.

‘No, just… fuck, why me? And-‘ he put a hand up, ‘I should’ve known better last time, I should’ve stopped you, Mob. Don’t think for a second I hate you.’

Reigen took the opportunity, a slight weakening in Mob’s physical strength, to break free and walk towards the exit. He didn’t get far. Mob’s ribbons of power wrapped around his legs and arms, Reigen felt an urge to almost laugh at how seductively they had slowly and deliberately reached out. He refused to even look around, but he knew Mob hadn’t even raised a finger. He also knew Mob would be surprised just how easily he managed to stop Reigen. Perhaps.

He felt his feet sliding along the floor, being dragged back. And suddenly Mob was there, behind him, like a bad spirit.

‘Hey, sneaking up on people is not cool!’ Reigen protested as Mob’s hands were on him, physically, strong, his chest, his waist, snaking under his blazer. Fuck he was melting to this touch. This touch he had never realised he ever wanted.

He was drowning still, in this toxic, stagnant air but it was good now. Mob’s mouth was better, he knew that. And suddenly powers flipped him and Mob had bent down and this was it. It was right. Mob’s lips pressing his, gently – his powers might shake buildings but this was surprisingly soft, a bit of wanting but nothing like the last. Reigen smirked into the kiss and well, if Mob was going to back down his force now, Reigen could match that. He could fucking outdo him, he thought pressing his tongue into Mob who gasped a little. He knew he would find it a lot if someone else did it to him but his mouth is the only way he could match the most powerful esper in the world. Words weren’t his only special move.

Mob had started moaning, not even hiding it as the kiss became more passionate. Not that he could. Reigen was often the calm and collected one but even he was becoming undone as Mob held his waist and groped at his trousers.

Not even the flowers could match this strange dance.

‘M-ob we have a job here too,’ Reigen managed to break away, still inches from Mob’s face.

‘Fuck that job...’

Reigen laughed, ‘language Mob.’

‘You’re not my dad.’

‘Yeah cause that would be really weird.’

Mob looked up to give a look that said shut the hell up.

‘Anyway I have a different job in mind,’ he replied breathily.

Reigen’s jaw went slack at this, unable to bring a single word to mind. The only response he could think of were some choice curse words which would not be a good example… Example? Fuck, he wasn’t Mob’s dad or even Shishou anymore. This was a grown man in front of him, kneeling in front of him, using psychic powers to cushion his knees off the hard brick as he knelt in front of him.

‘Fuck Mob, I’m meant to be the mouthy one. You need to shut up sometimes,’ he joked.

‘This will shut me up.’

That definitely shouldn’t have turned on Reigen as much as it had. He didn’t resist the eye roll which Mob definitely saw. He wasn’t put off continuing to unbuckle Reigen’s belt and unzipping his fly.

Mob didn’t not notice that Reigen hadn’t gotten any less hard from the teasing. If anything… well Mob kept it in mind.

Reigen was going to make some snappy remark, some anger or disbelief at this game but was quickly struck out of his thoughts by a hand slipping under his waistband. It was fumbly, pressing in all the wrong places but it felt so good. It seemed he could forgive Mob for anything. Kissing him, not about to suck him off in a client’s greenhouse on a job. It was highly unethical but since when did Reigen care about ethics. All he knew was Mob was on him now, kissing his cock gently, ever so gently again. Almost as if not to scare him off. He encouragingly ran his fingers through the jet black hair that was wafting zero gravity, like black ornamental grass being blown by a hidden breeze. The interplay of two plants, fighting for ground. Volatile chemicals released over this insane violation of normal, usual boundaries.

Which Mob was gaining as he enclosed his lips around Reigen and pushed further along.

The moans seemed like music to his ears. Plants grew better with music, or more likely it was Mob’s powers.

Reigen was losing it badly, his hand supporting Mob’s slowly bobbing head. His eyes blurring, he could barely see the lewd image of Mob but it sent him almost over the edge. He didn’t feel the rough leaves he was desperately trying to grab to stay standing. He quickly felt a warm-cold slither supporting his back and wrapping around his waist. Mob. Who was still going, leading Reigen nearer the dark precipice of never being able to go back, to anyone else.

‘Muh-mob, I’m going to-‘ he pushed Mob off forcefully, breathing shakily. Mob fell back and Reigen felt a little bad but he knew Mob could be stubborn and by the somewhat grateful look on his face, he knew it would be too much for him to ask.

There was still a strange warmth sensation surrounding his cock. Pulsing energy that almost instantly gave him that final push. He came taking another shaking breath, looking downwards, gripping Mob’s hand that had taken his. He felt a little embarrassed. Mob gave him a little smile but then he noticed something else. Reigen’s face burned up.

‘Mob,’ he groaned, his hand covering his face.

It was truly a strange and Reigen thought, an almost indecent sight, his cum floating in the streams of psychic energy that had been previously pulsing around his cock, a bizarre hand? job.

‘Um what should I do Sh-Reigen?’

‘I don’t know! Outside! Get it far away! Oh my God.’ Reigen shut his eyes.

When he opened his eyes, he saw Mob looking far away and pointing a hand so at least he knew he hadn’t swallowed it. That would make him truly uncomfortable. Looking at Mob now he wouldn’t mind doing that for him but it still would be pretty weird the other way round.

‘Oh God I am so sorry.’

‘Why are you sorry?’ Mob responded in that ever-monotone voice. Reigen smiled, it was like nothing ever happened. But he didn’t want to leave it at that.

He helped Mob to his feet and felt the psychic power leaving his surroundings. Mob’s hair now lay flat, a bit damp, a bit less spiky. He pulled Mob to a short kiss, a little surprise from the esper at this. A sharpness in his mouth but all Reigen could do was smile quietly. Reigen usually never initiated but this was going to change from now. He promised himself he would make a bit more effort for Mob…

And for himself too.

He drank Mob in, it seemed like so long and short at the same time. Like forever and nothing.

Maybe the client would notice a few more flowers but other than that the fragile glass was all still intact. Reigen was honestly surprised but he supposed he hadn’t taken Mob to a 100%. Considering Mob he was surprised the kiss alone hadn’t shaken his world. Maybe he was more mature than he realised. Maybe Reigen thought with a shudder so bad he had to fold over, hands on his thighs, that wasn’t his first kiss before.

Reigen doubted the even darker, more jealous-inducing thought in his mind. Mob had seemed unusually skilled. Unusually adept with his powers… in that way. I mean if he had such powers, he might have had the whole neighbourhood through his door. Casting a glance at Mob, he didn’t really match the playboy look. Now not so far off as the bowl cut era. But still. His doubts wavered. God, there really was no subtle way to ask but he wanted to know.

Mob’s fingers brushed and intertwined slightly with Reigen’s as they walked back.

‘Arghh!’ Reigen tried to suppress. It felt uncomfortably intimate even after… that.

‘Too much?’ Reigen could see Mob hiding a smile and wondered how he could be so calm.

‘Yeah, a bit,’ Reigen huffed jokily.

Mob’s only response was to wrap an arm around the shorter man’s waist which Reigen didn’t exactly throw off but didn’t exactly welcome either.

‘What am I, your housewife? Why are you feeling so affectionate anyhow?’

‘It was nice. Did you like it Sh- Reigen?’

‘Of course, I did Mob. I thought that was obvious but then I guess reading people isn’t your strength.’

‘Hmm.’

‘W-was it, well I mean you know, you seemed to know what you were doing with…’

‘You were my first Shishou.’

‘And it was with an old man oh my God.’

‘You’re not old.’

‘I feel old, I mean my legs are killing me and we’ve only walked what? A hundred feet?’

‘Maybe, there’s a different explanation. Was it your first time?’

The way Mob said it, you wouldn’t be able to tell if he was talking about a spirit sighting or the Takoyaki tasting different.

‘I have made love many times.’ Reigen responded.

‘That doesn’t sound very convincing.’

‘Well it’s true!’

‘You shouldn’t have pushed me.’

‘It was for your own good, I need to take responsibility as the older and more experienced…’

‘I’m an adult too.’

‘Yes I can see that.’

‘How do you know you’re more experienced?’

It felt like a thorn-covered dagger had stabbed through his chest. Jealousy. Mob trying to pry information about their incident already felt like torture.

‘I presumed…’ Reigen trailed off. He was clearly hurt, maybe Mob was getting back at him for holding off so long, ignoring his calls, avoiding him… ‘I know you’re not more experienced but, you were right too it was my first time.’ Each word felt like a thorn being pulled out, excruciating.

‘Sorry Shishou.’ Mob didn’t seem awfully apologetic but Reigen was too tired to question him further. There seemed to be more glittering behind Mob’s dark pinprick pupils. He would talk then. It didn’t seem like it would be long.

‘Let’s go inside, I am spent.’

Inside, Ritsu gave a deathly look to Reigen, who acted like nothing had happened.

‘That spirit definitely isn’t in the greenhouse, Ri-‘

‘I’m sure I heard some moani-‘

‘Must’ve been the wind!,’ Reigen laughed anxiously, ’who wants some cake our lovely client made us!’
