Bruce Wayne was in his late thirties when he finally received his soulmate tattoo that was supposed to reveal to him the name of his soulmate.
Soulmates were a special person who was supposed to be an individual’s ideal romantic partner, a soulmate was the person you were supposed to one day spend the rest of your life with.
A person discovered who their soulmate was by receiving a tattoo like mark that would one day appear upon the skin. The tattoo design would take the form of the soulmate’s name and would appear upon the flesh of an individual at any age after both soulmates had reached adulthood.
Bruce since he had been a teenager had known about soulmates, having researched the topic in great detail. Though because he was so intent on getting revenge for the murder of his parents one day gaining a soulmate and meeting them hadn’t been a high priority for him.
For a long time, he had been too focused on protecting Gotham from the many villains who lived in it.
However, when the soulmate tattoo appeared on his wrist, he found himself feeling happy and excited.
He had a soulmate somewhere out in the world, someone by the name of Hermione Granger.
Bruce decided though because of Gotham the way it was that he wouldn’t seek out his soulmate, being Batman was more important than being with this Hermione Granger.
Weeks after he decided this he received a visitor to Wayne Manor, his butler Alfred informing him of it.
“A visitor? Who is it, Alfred?” asked Bruce.
“A woman, sir. A Hermione Granger. She says she wants to speak with you and that it is important. Would you like to see her Master Bruce?”
Bruce tensed up at the name of his soulmate, for a moment he felt conflicted over wanting to see his soulmate and just rejecting her. He ended up deciding on the former and told Alfred to let her into his home.
Bruce was quick to put on some appropriate attire for meeting his soulmate and tried to calm his nerves down while Alfred brought her in.
Alfred soon walked into the room with a woman who soon introduced herself as Hermione Granger.
Hermione was a beautiful woman who appeared to be in her mid to late thirties, she was of average height, had a slender build, brown eyes and her long, thick, brown hair was currently tied back into a ponytail.
He thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met and as he stared at her he felt that he needed to always have Hermione Granger in his life.
“Would you like a drink Hermione? We can talk…get to know each other.” Bruce said.
Hermione nodded. “Yes please, I’d like that Bruce”
Bruce smiled, and then soon sat with Hermione on the couch.
“So, what would you like Hermione? I think we have coffee, tea, different kinds of alcoholic drinks, orange juice and water”
“Tea sounds lovely please”
Bruce smiled and told Alfred to make them their tea.
“Very well, then. I will return soon with tea and snacks for you both,” said Alfred.
“Thank you, Alfred,” said Bruce.
The butler soon left the room, leaving Hermione and Bruce to begin to get to know each other.
It wasn’t long before Alfred returned with cups of tea and assorted snacks for them both.
They drank the tea and ate the snacks as they continued to talk.
“So would you like to go on a date with me sometime Bruce?”
Bruce nodded, “Of course”
Hermione smiled happily and they soon exchanged contact information before they continued to get to know each other.
After a while Hermione decided it was time to go and she gave Bruce a chaste kiss on one of his cheeks before leaving.
During Hermione’s visit Bruce hadn’t told Hermione about himself being Batman and the topic of his parents hadn’t been discussed yet. However, what he had told her seemed to interest her and she seemed to be impressed by him.
He was looking forward to their first proper date together despite for a long time deciding not to pursue his soulmate.
The night of the date soon arrived and once Bruce was ready he left Wayne Manor.
The date was at a restaurant, when he saw Hermione waiting for him, he smiled.
“Hermione, you look beautiful.”
Hermione had her long brown hair pulled back, she wore a black dress and heels to match and wore some light make up.
Hermione smiled and blushed at the compliment. “Thank you, Bruce, you look quite handsome. Shall…Shall we go in?”
Bruce nodded and took his date’s hand, leading her inside of the restaurant.
They were soon shown to a table that Bruce had reserved for them both.
The restaurant had a nice and romantic atmosphere, music playing and was beautifully decorated.
After ordering their meals and drinks of wine they were left alone with one another to talk and get to know more about each other.
They talked about trivial topics of conversation at first while drinking the glasses of wine that soon arrived to the table. They talked about work, about family, likes, dislikes and hobbies.
Bruce still didn’t tell Hermione about his night job as Batman, instead telling her about the work he did as Bruce Wayne and told her about Alfred.
Hermione told him in turn about her job, about her family , her friends and a friend named Harry who she saw as a brother.
When the food arrived they ate in a comfortable silence, both enjoying the date so far. They ate, drank, later continuing to talk and learning more about each other.
Soon after they finished eating and drinking they still sat at the table for a short while.
Bruce was decided now that he wanted to see Hermione again, he wasn’t going to let his soulmate go. He wanted them to pursue a relationship together. After telling Hermione this, he was relieved to see the woman smiling at him.
“I want the same Bruce, I want a relationship with you as well.”
Bruce smiled, “Good” he said.
He leant across the table and captured his soulmate’s lips in a kiss. They kissed for a few moments, Hermione returning the kiss almost immediately. As they kissed the two soulmates both felt something very right about the kiss, something absolutely perfect. As Bruce kissed Hermione he couldn’t help but feel hopeful, maybe with this woman he could be happy and less lonely.
Shortly after separating from the kiss Bruce paid for their meals and their drinks and they left the restaurant.
Days later Bruce and Hermione made arrangements for their next date, both continuing the relationship.
