Kiri was excitingly dragging Spider out onto the ocean bed as the two usually do when they finish their duties for the tribe, Spider was adjusting well to the change of climate although he deeply missed climbing trees, and was often teased by younger Na’Vi for being human, but he was glad he could live among his adopted family.
Kiri called out to her mount which arrived happily to greet them, Kiri first let spider climb onto the front as she climbed on behind him, connecting her braid to her companion and putting her arms above spider’s to grab the pommel attached to the creature and to prevent spiders much smaller body from flying away , and although spider hated to admit it he liked being in this vulnerable position, he felt protected, and Kiris chest rubbing up behind him wasn’t all to bad either. Once they settled onto the creature Kiri asked, “where are we headed monkey boy ? Our usual spot? “
Spider responded
“will anything I say actually deter you from choosing that spot anyway?”
Before they tarpidoed into the water Kiri giggled and responded with

And took them slightly afar from where they sleep in the canapoies, they dismounted the Ilu and slipped into the warm water. Once they where under the surface Kiri motioned for spider to follow her and although Spider was a strong swimmer he often had to hold on to Kiris tail to keep up with her under water, so with one hand swimming and the other around her tail he kicked his legs to project himself down to the coral reef, Kiri hand signed for them to slow down and her face grew concerned, she pointed down at the usually busy reef which was at the moment shockingly empty, Spider had never seen the area so peaceful but that emptiness sent a dropping feeling to his gut, just as they where about to break the surface for air Spider felt an aggressive tide pull him away, he tried trashing and swimming away but the riptide was stonger, the last thing he remeberd before hitting his head on a coral and knocking out was looking around for Kiri but she too was fighting for her balance against the tide.
Kiri is soar when she awakens, and when she looks up she is on an unfamiliar island, she panics for a second until she turns to her left and sees a scarcthed up Spider laying besides her, his body still half way in the water, half on the beach, luckily still with his oxygen mask on. “Spider ! “Uh hey Kiri, “ spider says as he pointed to the sky, eclipse is starting soon I think it’s best we stay here the night, who knows what lurks in the water during ecplise.
“Im so getting grounded by my dad” Kiri groans as spider takes her arm to try and find some shelter for the night. As they are walking through the lush mangrove Kiri hears Spider shout before she notices they are falling into an underground cave.
Kiri quickly takes spider into her arms and flips to her back as they fall with a huge thud, luckily their landing spot happened to be mushroom like foliage that almost cradled Kiri when she landed. She looked down at Spider who was still gripping his arms around her waist tightly with his eyes shut, and had his shielded face pressed into her belly fur, to say the image didn’t send tingles down her abdomen would be lying.

But as she was scouting and looking around, Spider layed his head once more on her chest area, half straddling her waist still, the movement shocked her but when she looked down she saw how exhausted the boy was. She wondered if it would be appropriate to run her fingers through his hair, although usually a ritual for Navi mates, he was human so he wouldn’t have the sensitivity most Navi have in their braids so no harm could really be done.
