SPOILERS
reading a fic where River and Father Octavian spent a night together. When Father Octavian found out the Doctor was 'alive' and not dead in the manner of human death, he asked River if the Doctor they'd lain together and what he thought of it to which River, glaring at him, replied, "He wouldn't care". All I could think about was 12 huffing and puffing in jealousy and 11 uncharacteristically biting at Octavian - GIF of River saying 'And you are so wrong'
And the way River found it novel that the Doctor would take her hand and hold it? Yeah grin this really was written over a decade ago.
She loved him—always and completely—and joined the cables.
I want to smash something. (And yes that was how the fic ended. Horrid reading for Christmas day I know.) -
