Work Text:
YOU - “So, you’re telling me you haven’t smoked weed before?”
KIM KITSURAGI - The lieutenant, from his seat on the chair across the table from you, snaps his gaze up at you with sunken eyes.
EMPATHY [Medium: Success] - He’s not one for discussing matters of addictive substances, which is no surprise given your quite extensive history with them.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] - YOU FUCKING KNOW IT, BABY.
KIM KITSURAGI - “I have, detective. Several times. I thought I told you this already.” Reaching out for his cup of tea sitting on the counter, he takes a tentative sip, his face puckering slightly when he realizes it is still much too hot. He places it down again. “I simply do not care for those things now. Plus, I have a job.”
SHIVERS [Trivial: Success] - The floorboards of your apartment creak under the weight of two full-grown men sitting at the wooden table. The dull lights above your head cast a sickly glow in the kitchen, while the rest of the apartment hides in the darkness. While you weren’t paying attention, the neighbors and the neighbor’s children have all begun getting ready for bed, their heads filled with the certain type of drowsiness one can only find in a cold, cold city.
YOU - Kim looks at you from across the table, an eyebrow arched. He is waiting for a response.
- “I have severe memory loss, remember? I genuinely don’t remember you telling me that at all. When did you tell me that?”
- “Ohhh, I remember now. You definitely told me that you have smoked weed before. That’s why I asked. Yes.”
- “You have not smoked weed before. You’re too nerdy for that.”
KIM KITSURAGI - He sighs and rubs his temple. Despite the fatigue, he doesn’t look any older. “It was a long time ago, admittedly. Both the weed-smoking and when I told you about it.” He reaches for the cup again.
PERCEPTION (Sight) [Medium: Success] - It is still hot. The steam pouring out of the mug is only visible to you, however.
KIM KITSURAGI - The steam fogs up his glasses again as he takes a sip, this time refusing to react to the sudden sting on his tongue.
COMPOSURE [Formidable: Failure] - How does he look so *cool* even when being inflicted with pain?
HALF LIGHT [Trivial: Success] - You don’t wanna know.
KIM KITSURAGI - “Anyways, it was a long time ago. Nothing special about the experiences I had. It was dumb to even bring it up.” Taking off his glasses, he rubs the steam off with his shirt. There is a crease in his eyebrow as he does so.
EMPATHY [Godly: Failure] - He seems like he might be hiding some emotion behind those eyes. Whatever happened, perhaps the sentimentality of being a teenager and young and wild is still memorable to him.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] - You know what we could do?
EMPATHY - Please, no.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - GET. THE. BLUNT.
- Wait, we have a blunt?
- That seems like a good way to get Kim to loosen up. [Accept task]
- No way. Kim hates it when I do drugs. I don’t want to disappoint him further. [Refuse task]
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - We do. I believe it's stashed in one of your many drug drawers, all nice, neat, and ready to be lit up.
ESPRIT DE CORPS [Easy: Success] - This man is a high-ranking officer of the RCM. There is no way he would jeopardize his state of mind with a stupid offer such as the one you are thinking about.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - Yeah, but what if he doesn’t? I think our boy here has loosened him up a bit, metaphorically speaking. Plus, it would put Kim in our shoes for once. See what its like being a middle-aged man and stoned out of your mind. He’d never pester us about it again.
SUGGESTION [Trivial: Success] - Or, he could refuse and never speak to us again. Or report us to Captain Pryce for abusing drugs. Or both.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY - You guys are just *scared.*
- Go check if you *really* have a stash first.
- That seems like a good way to get Kim to loosen up. [Accept task]
- No way. Kim hates it when I do drugs. I don’t want to disappoint him further. [Refuse task]
YOU - The chair squeaks from under you as you jump up and shuffle awkwardly to your room. There are a few drawers that could contain such a substance, and you stand in front of the dresser, looking over them one by one.
KIM KITSURAGI - You can hear his head craning to look at you. “Is…everything alright, detective?”
- Open the top drawer.
- Open the middle drawer.
- Open the last drawer.
- Open the fourth, hidden, super-secret drawer that must be here somewhere.
TOP DRAWER - Nothing but several pairs of used, slightly crumpled underwear. You wouldn’t have hidden them in here, it would be the first place anybody looked to confiscate them.
- Open the top drawer.
- Open the middle drawer.
- Open the last drawer.
- INTERFACING [Formidable - 13] Open the fourth, hidden, super-secret drawer that must be here somewhere.
MIDDLE DRAWER - Rows of nicely folded shirts lie here, collected from your years of effectively utilizing the Jamrock Shuffle. Assorted graphic tees, button-down shirts, and the occasional tank top watch you silently.
- Open the top drawer.
- Open the middle drawer.
- Open the last drawer.
- INTERFACING [Formidable - 13] Open the fourth, hidden, super-secret drawer that must be here somewhere.
LAST DRAWER - There is nothing of note in here, just some pants and socks. However, something shiny buried deep in the back of the drawer catches your eye. Something tells you this might lead you closer to the *stash.*
- Take the key.
- On second thought, I think I’m just going to sit back down with Kim. [Leave]
MYSTERIOUS KEY - As you turn it over in your hand, a feeling of excitement rises within you. The grooves on the key feel familiar and cozy, and despite your several months of sobriety, you know this key has been with you for far longer than you can remember and has been waiting for you to return to it.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] - Oh yeah, baby. We’re getting somewhere now.
KIM KITSURAGI - Back in the kitchen, Kim clears his throat, as if somehow knowing what you’re up to. “All good in there, detective?”
- "Yup, yup. All good. Not looking for a secret stash.”
- Don’t say anything, just get back to searching.
KIM KITSURAGI - He is a little off-put by your sudden lack of conversation, and turns back to his tea without raising any more questions.
YOU - You turn back to the dresser, having gained a new sense of familiarity with the habits you once possessed.
- Open the top drawer.
- Open the middle drawer.
- Open the last drawer.
- INTERFACING [Formidable - 13] Open the fourth, hidden, super-secret drawer that must be here somewhere.
INTERFACING [Formidable: Success] - Your hands drop to the ground underneath the dresser, suddenly. The hardwood flooring groans slightly under your distributed weight. The pat-pat sound of your hands hitting the floor seems a bit silly at first, but your body has done this many times before. After a few seconds, you feel a bit of a gap in the flooring and feel a small keyhole precisely the size of the key in your hand. You unlock it and push up the floorboard.
REACTION SPEED [Medium: Failure] - You reel from the smell of weed hitting your nostrils all at once, despite being intimate with the aroma. While holding your nose, you reach into the hole and pull out a small baggie.
LOGIC [Easy: Success] - This could very well end terribly for you.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] - Or wonderfully.
KIM KITSURAGI - Kim watches you as you tiptoe back into the kitchen, sneakily grabbing a lighter off the counter as you do so. He only looks at you when you sit down, not saying a single word.
RHETORIC [Medium: Success] - Better to just ask him right off the bat.
- “Hello, Kim. A fine day we are having. I currently do not have a bag of weed buds in my lap right now.”
- “Wanna toke up?”
- “I found my stash.”
KIM KITSURAGI - Gently placing his hands on the table, Kim shuts his eyes. “Do you? And…would this…*stash*... have anything to do with me?”
ENDURANCE [Trivial: Failure] - He wants you to ask. Don’t play his little back-and-forth game. Just grab the paper and roll it up already.
- Take the weed out of the bag and start grinding it up without responding.
- “If you want, we could share a joint, and then maybe you can experience being a teenager again. If you want.”
- ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Godly - 16] “It could have *everything* to do with you, baby. Get over here.” (Pat your lap.)
KIM KITSURAGI - He stops for a moment, and looks you over, his eyes searching for something inside of you that you can’t see.
VOLITION [Trivial: Success] - He wants to see if you’re capable of going on a bender after one blunt.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Godly: Success] - What are we, PUSSIES? We can’t even get *high* off of one blunt. You’d need at least six more to even feel anything.
KIM KITSURAGI - He pushes up his glasses. A small smirk grows on his face, sending your stomach plummeting through the ground. He doesn’t seem mad, if anything…he *wants* this. To feel young and stupid again.
ESPRIT DE CORPS [Medium: Success] - Years upon years of being completely sober have made him miss the times when he could let loose without fear of retribution. Of sharing a joint with a friend, feeling that sense of camaraderie.
KIM KITSURAGI - “Okay, fine. We can share *one* joint. And Harry,” He uses your name for emphasis here, raising a finger to point at you, “I mean *one.* And no alcohol.”
- “I promise I will not get blisteringly high and drunk, Your Honor.” (Raise your right hand and place your left one on your heart.)
- “No promises. I am a man of habit, you know.” (Wink at him.)
- Just nod, solemnly.
KIM KITSURAGI - He nods, seemingly pleased with your response. He gets up from his seat to move closer to you, pulling out the chair to your right. Your knees press together, sending a flurry of endorphins straight to your head.
COMPOSURE [Formidable: Success] - Keep it together, man. Once you two get high, it will only get harder for you to contain your undying love for him.
HAND/EYE COORDINATION [Medium: Success] - You grind and roll up the joint like it's the only thing you know how to do. At one point, perhaps it was. Getting high and drinking at the same time is not an uncommon habit, especially for someone like you.
INLAND EMPIRE [Easy: Success] - This is different, though. You don’t want to fuck this up. You have to prove you’ve changed -- because you have. Don’t fuck it up, Harry.
KIM KITSURAGI - Kim watches you intently, as he watches anything he finds noteworthy intently. It gives you the impression that he is studying you, watching closely for any minor slip-up that could give away that you really *don’t* know what you’re doing, and that he should just get up and leave immediately.
FRESHLY ROLLED JOINT - But you don’t fuck up. In fact, this might very well be the best joint you’ve ever made in your entire life. Probably because you’re not drunk out of your mind while doing it.
SHIVERS [Medium: Success] - It is late. The sun has gone down several hours ago, and it feels as though this room contains the only people left alive. The warm breath of Kim on your shoulder as he watches you adeptly roll the paper and seal it closed makes you feel incredibly self-conscious, suddenly.
KIM KITSURAGI - “Very well done, Harry.” He places a hand on your shoulder, then leans back. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a joint so beautiful.” He nods, respectfully.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Godly: Failure] - Let’s make a billion more, then! Let’s knock the socks off him!
SUGGESTION [Trivial: Success] - He is only saying that because he’s only ever seen three joints made in his life. If anything, *he* is trying to impress *you.*
- “Do you want the honors, Kim?” (Hold out the joint and the lighter for him to take the first drag.)
- “I’ll go first. Just to make sure it’s good.” (Light the joint and take a drag yourself.)
KIM KITSURAGI - He waves his hand. “No, no. You should do it. You made it.”
- “Do you want the honors, Kim?” (Hold out the joint and the lighter for him to take the first drag.)
- “I’ll go first, then. Just to make sure it’s good.” (Light the joint and take a drag yourself.)
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Trivial: Success] - Oh yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. FINALLY. *Cool* Harry is finally here!
FRESHLY SMOKED JOINT - As you inhale, you can feel the smoke traveling from the tip of your tongue to the base of your throat and, finally, into your lungs. You close your eyes, holding the smoke in for as long as you can before you finally exhale, the pressure of the day and even a bit of the chronic pain in your body being exhaled along with the smoke. If there was ever a relaxing feeling without making you too acutely aware of what a shithole addict you were, it was this one. You watch the smoke curl around your fingers, feeling a little light-headed from the rush of adrenaline finally being subsided by the THC.
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Easy: Success] - THC, otherwise known as Tetrahydrocannabinol, is a major component alongside 113 cannabinoids found in cannabis, or weed. Although THC can stand in for several different cannabinoids, it most often refers to the Delta 9 isomer --
HALF LIGHT [Trivial: Success] - FUCKING SHUT UP. YOU ARE NOT FUCKING RUINING THIS FOR US.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Medium: Success] - Agreed.
KIM KITSURAGI - He is watching your first inhale intently, his gaze lingering on your lips. It is much, much darker in this room than it was a couple of hours ago, but the lamp above you illuminates his features just as well as you would find in natural lighting.
LOGIC [Easy: Success] - Maybe it is just because he looks good all of the time?
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Godly: Failure] - Wait, looking at our *lips?*
KIM KITSURAGI - He is staring into your eyes now, gauging the damage done. Apparently satisfied to conclude you are not totally gone, he reaches out and takes the joint out of your hand, his palm brushing your knuckles softly. “Okay, my turn.”
You watch as he places the joint up to his lips, the white paper contrasting against his dark pink lips. They pucker as he sucks in, the embers on the other end of the joint glowing red for a moment, casting a reflection in his glasses. When you look at his glasses, you find his eyes boring into you, watching you right back.
COMPOSURE [Impossible: Failure] - He’s so goddamn cool.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Medium: Success] - And sexy…? Are we just going to gloss over that?
KIM KITSURAGI - He holds the smoke in, mirroring your actions, then lets it out slowly. The smoke rises to the ceiling in a cloud, dissipating as it hits the off-white ceiling tiles. He smirks, then lets out a polite cough. “It isn’t bad. Normally, the taste is enough to throw me off, but…” He holds it up between his fingers, examining it. “Despite it hiding under your floorboards for God knows how long, I don’t think it is bad.” He looks at you from over his glasses. “Mind if I take another drag?”
- “Not at all. And do it *much* slower this time. Really take it in. In fact, let’s make a bet about who can last the longest.”
- “Woah, slow down there buddy. You take one drag and you think you’re the King of the Weed? Nuh-uh. My turn.” (Take the joint back.)
- SAVOIR FAIRE [Godly - 16] (Take the joint back and do a sick smoke trick before handing it back to him.) “Top that.”
KIM KITSURAGI - He raises an eyebrow at that challenge, but does not contest it. Instead, he simply takes a longer drag and holds it once again, staring you in the eyes the whole time. After he exhales, he hands it back to you. “You’re on, detective.”
DEEPLY SMOKED JOINT - It goes on like this for a while. At first, you two don’t speak much to each other, only taking not-so-subtle glances at the other’s lips when they inhale, then to the ceiling when they exhale. A few hours pass, when suddenly you realize you are doubled over laughing at something Kim said. What it was, you can’t remember, but the joint has been long abandoned and is a bit more than a stub resting in the ashtray in the middle of the table.
KIM KITSURAGI - He is watching you again, his piercing eyes suddenly feeling more intrusive under the weight of the THC currently taking a ride through your blood and nervous system. From what you can tell, he isn’t really feeling it.
PERCEPTION (Sight) [Formidable: Success] - Wrong. He has been playing with the edge of the tablecloth for an hour now, feeling the pattern on it over and over again. A grounding method. He is definitely feeling it.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Medium: Failure] - Who cares what he’s feeling? I’m feeling something else right now, and it is not the h-word you’re thinking of.
COMPOSURE [Godly: Failure] - Admittedly, you are starting to lose control a bit. Your previous statement of being able to withstand one joint is apparently null and void. You have been laughing at Kim’s statement for a solid 5 minutes.
PAIN THRESHOLD [Medium: Success] - Your stomach is actually starting to hurt from all the nonsensical laughing you’ve been doing.
KIM KITSURAGI - “What did I say?”
CONCEPTUALIZATION [Medium: Success] - Just come up with anything at this point. Anything. Not the last option though.
- “You said something funny about Jean, right? That he’s a loser. And ugly.”
- “That I am super cool and sexy and you’ve never met a funnier person than I.” (Give him The Expression.)
- “I can’t actually remember now.”
- COMPOSURE [Formidable - 13] “That you are madly in love with me and want to strip me of my clothes immediately.”
KIM KITSURAGI - He laughs now, too, not just a chuckle, but a real laugh. It is sudden, and not really an appropriate response to the not-so-funny thing you said, but the reality of seeing Kim laugh makes you laugh as well, and before you know it, both of you are clenching your sides and nearly falling off of the kitchen chairs. Kim composes himself before you do, however, and wipes his eyes. “Well, I think so. To be honest, I can’t remember now either.” He lets out another small chuckle, before sighing and leaning forward in his chair.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] - Hey. Woah. HEY. BUDDY. He’s definitely giving you the eyes right now.
VISUAL CALCULUS [Formidable: Failure] - He is not. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, okay?
AUTHORITY [Easy: Success] - Or make a damn fool of ourselves. Let’s not forget our titles. We are still high-ranking officers. Just don’t make any stupid suggestions of going for a midnight swim or something.
PERCEPTION (Sight) [Easy: Success] - He may not be giving you *the* eyes, but he’s certainly looking at you. Perhaps gauging your sobriety levels.
COMPOSURE [Trivial: Failure] - It would be impossible to not see the effects. You are not doing a very good job of hiding how stoned you are. Kim, on the other hand, may have won that bet.
- “I think you won the bet, Kim. Congratulations.”
- “I think I’m really high.”
- “We should go for a swim. In the ocean.”
KIM KITSURAGI - “Khm. Yes, I think so too. Glad I didn’t have to convince you.” He smiles, and you are filled with warmth from head to toe. Apparently, he feels it as well and begins to take off his jacket. You watch, flabbergasted, as he strips off his bomber jacket, taking a much longer time to get it off than a sober person. He pauses in increments, slowly, almost frustratingly so, at his right bicep, then the other, then shrugging it off his back. Once he’s done, he looks at you. “Excuse me, it was getting a bit warm. Hope you don’t mind.” His plain white shirt teases you with its cleanliness.
- “I don’t mind at all. Actually, you should take off the shirt too. Since you’re already stripping.”
- Don’t say anything, just let your jaw drop open.
- ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Medium - 10] Strip his clothes off for him.
- Don’t do any of those things. Just look at him, wordlessly.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy: Success] - Pussy.
KIM KITSURAGI - He doesn’t mind that you didn’t say anything. In fact, he relishes in the silence, stretching his arms above his head, and letting out a small groan. His shirt rides up a bit, and you feel the urge to reach out and run a finger along that small piece of flesh. You restrain yourself just in time as Kim stops stretching. “You know, Harry, I was expecting you to be a bit crazier. Like, I don’t know…” he waves his hands around, trying to replicate your mannerisms, “breaking stuff. Drinking. I was worried I would have to stop you. But you are taking this quite well.” He places a hand on your thigh.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Medium: Success] - Goddamnit, man! Kiss him already!
AUTHORITY [Easy: Success] - No, respond first. Let him know you are still in control. A single joint like this would have never put you out of commission.
- (Place your hand on top of his.) “I owe it to you, Lieutenant.”
- “I am not even high, Kim. Don’t talk to me like that.”
- Kiss him.
KIM KITSURAGI - He seems a bit taken aback by your gesture, but doesn’t move his hand away. He just looks at you, his eyebrows furrowed together. “I don’t think that is necessary. You took all the steps by yourself. You didn’t need me to do it.” His pupils are dilated.
- “But I did. You helped me through the worst part of my life. I was a piece of real shit before I met you. You and your…your car…you woke me up. (Sniffle.) I am really high.”
- “I love you, Kim. I need you. Forever and ever.”
KIM KITSURAGI - He doesn’t say anything, just looks at you. It seems like ages before he speaks up again, his warm hand keeping you here, sitting in this chair. He won’t let you slip away to that place again. Not anymore. With his other hand, he reaches up and cups your cheek, turning your face towards him. Your head feels like a billion rocks when he does so, your eyes and mouth being pulled down by gravity. His hand is tracing your cheek, moving it in a circle. You can only watch, your eyes trailing down to his slightly parted lips.
ENDURANCE [Godly: Failure] - Yeah, I don’t know how much longer I can keep up like this.
ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Godly: Success] - Really? I could go all night.
EMPATHY [Medium: Success] - Despite his lack of an answer to your confession, he is still very much in awe of you. He has believed in you since day one, and it is too late to get rid of him now, despite the darkest parts of you believing that all you do is drive people away. Kim is not like the others. He has never been.
KIM KITSURAGI - He is still holding your hand and your face, but is now looking at your lips as well. The dazed look in his eye suggests to you that he may not be as sober as you think -- either way, there is only one option moving forward.
- ELECTROCHEMISTRY [Easy - 8] Kiss him.
- Wait for him to make the first move.
- COMPOSURE [Formidable - 13] Brush off his hand and don’t kiss him.
YOU - You hesitantly lean forward, your breath intermingling with one another. The rush from the high and the tingling sensation of Kim’s skin on yours give you that extra boost, and before you know it, your lips are pressed against each other. Kim does not immediately respond as you pull away, your breath stuck in your throat. A multitude of thoughts run through your mind as you look into his eyes, all along the lines of What the fuck is wrong with you. You nearly get up to open the door for him to leave before he pulls you back down and pulls you in by the back of your head with a passionate kiss. You sink in deeper, the feel of Kim’s warmth wrapping you up and transcending all known emotions. You place a hand on his neck, rubbing your thumb over his jaw.
KIM KITSURAGI - He sighs a bit as you run your hands over him, still sitting in the chair. He decides to get up, leaving you itching for more action, and takes you by the hand to the couch where he sits down. When you sit down next to him, he throws a leg over your lap, straddling you. He smirks and runs a hand through your hair. A moment passes before he leans down and whispers something in your ear. “Wait one moment.”
KIM KITSURAGI - He gets up, and walks back into the kitchen. You feel oddly cold without his body pressed into yours, but stay patient until he gets back. You watch as he saunters up to you, the almost dead joint between his fingers. He straddles you once again, then places the joint to his lips. You can only watch in awe as he places the joint down, then presses his lips to yours once more, parting them a bit to breathe the smoke into your own mouth. The smoke tastes so much sweeter for some reason. He leans back but only to press slow kisses to your neck and collarbone, making you feel even hotter than before.
YOU - The second rush of adrenaline is even better than the first, and this time, you know Kim is feeling it too. The both of you are not speaking, but you don’t need to. You are communicating perfectly without the use of pesky words and language. Kim’s slow grinds against your pelvic area send jitters up your spine, and you can tell by his sharp inhales that your fingers digging into his hipbone feel incredible. You reach for his shirt, just nodding to it instead of asking permission, and he lets go of your neck to allow you to take his shirt off.
KIM KITSURAGI - He is so beautiful.
INLAND EMPIRE [Easy: Success] - He looks at you, and time stops and speeds up all at once. Your head spins with all the possibilities. You and him. Him and you. All of them end the same -- you two are inseparable.
YOU - Kim tugs at your own shirt, and you hastily take it off, time moving steadily once again. He places hot kisses all over your torso, and you have to press a hand to your mouth to keep from moaning too loud from just this alone. You try to compensate by dragging your hand over his ass and squeezing it gently, hearing Kim’s breath hitch against your pecs.
KIM KITSURAGI - “Wait a moment.” He gets up suddenly, then runs to your room. Not a few seconds pass before he comes back again with a bottle of lube and places it next to you on the couch. He starts to undo your fly, and despite your wish to help him, you can’t at this angle. Luckily, he is adept with his hands and pulls them down. Once he gets yours off, he takes off his as well, leaving them on the floor next to yours.
YOU - You reach for his hips, bringing him in closer to you. He sighs against your lips and reaches down, rubbing his palm against your briefs. The sudden pressure makes you tilt your head up. Kim merely brings it back down, forcing you to look at him.
KIM KITSURAGI - “Good, good.” He shushes. “You’re doing good.”
COMPOSURE [Impossible: Failure] - Fuck.
YOU - A moan slips out from your throat, deep and guttural, the praise naturally going straight to your dick. Kim obviously makes a clear mental note of this and pulls down your underwear to initiate skin-to-skin contact. He grabs the lube and puts it in his hands before grasping your cock, moving smoothly with confident movements.
KIM KITSURAGI - Though outwardly the effects of being high did not show on his face, the desperate nature of his actions proved his inebriety. His hands roamed everywhere when they weren’t on your dick, and he looked you straight in the eyes the whole time, trying hard to memorize every reaction to the things he did. It was terrifying. But then again, so was Kim.
YOU - All you could do to stay in this dimension was watch as Kim handled you, his eyes the only point of gravity you could find. Your lips trembled as Kim ran his thumb over the tip, again and again, relentless in his movements.
KIM KITSURAGI - Only when you whined his name did he stop, reaching up to cup your face again. He then grabbed the lube and placed some more into his hands, reaching behind him to prepare himself. You watched, entranced, as his face tightened up as he worked himself from behind. Eventually, he was satisfied and climbed back onto your lap, grabbing your hand and placing it on his hip. “You…” He tried to get out a sentence but was breathless, a bead of sweat forming on his brow.
YOU - You didn’t need to be told twice. As you held on to his hips, you rolled your own into him, feeling Kim press his face against your shoulder. A deep exhale was the only confirmation you needed to keep going and started to create a steady pace. You had had sex while high before, and, though you couldn’t remember if you ever had it with a guy, this was miles better than the pity sex women on the street would give you for a wad of cash.
EMPATHY [Easy: Success] - Kim wouldn’t take advantage of you like that. He had been waiting for so long before now, and he won’t leave you now. Not after everything.
YOU - The sudden emotionality hitting you like a brick, you grab Kim’s face as you thrust upwards into him, pulling him into a feverish kiss. The taste of the salty tears mixed with Kim’s smoke-flavored lips was enough to send you into an enlightened state on its own, but eventually, you reached your climax, your entire body shuddering against Kim’s, your face pressed deep into his neck.
KIM KITSURAGI - Kim followed suit a moment after, his hands grasping at your shoulder and hair. You held onto him tightly throughout his orgasm, pressing your lips all over his neck. Taking deep breaths, you both settled down, and eventually, Kim got off of your lap and collapsed on the couch next to you. Looking at you with tired eyes, he smiles and places a hand on your chest. “I should get high more often.”
- “Was that a joke?” (Poke his sides in jest.)
- “If it means we have hot sex like that again, then fuck yes.”
- “I think I still have some weed left if you want a round two…?”
KIM KITSURAGI - He awkwardly bats your hands away, chuckling slightly. “Yes, obviously. You are lucky we don’t have work tomorrow.” He looks away, his eyes fixed on a bookshelf in the living room. “You know, I did feel like a teenager again. Thank you for that.”
RHETORIC [Medium: Success] - It took a lot for him to admit that. He doesn’t like feeling like a kid again. It reminds him of tumultuous times.
SHIVERS [Formidable: Success] - A young boy no older than 15 plays in the snow, his nose and eyes matching the ones on the face of the man sitting next to you. The cap on his head is too big and slips down, causing the boy next to him to laugh. A stake of pain drives through his heart, the coldness of the air turning his nose a bright red. Smoke rises from between his teeth.
EMPATHY [Easy: Success] - But he means it. Truly.
- “Don’t mention it, partner.” (Give him a fistbump.)
- Say nothing, just kiss him.
YOU - You place your lips on the top of his head and give him a gentle kiss, and listen to Kim hum in satisfaction. At this point, words aren’t nearly enough to describe your feelings for him. So you sit, and Kim rests his head against your shoulder, and you close your eyes.
Sleep finally comes to you that night, and a dream takes the form of a bespectacled man with his hands outstretched. The video rental store is long behind you, and the whole world awaits.
