Chapter Text
Kaitou Kid never really got caught of guard, especially on heists. The only people having been close to surprising him had been the detectives and maybe the organisation.
And that one time with Kaitou Corbeau.
....alright so his plans have been messed with often. But can you blame him?! He was only human!
Whatever, the thing is that today his life changed drastically. Kid would have never thought that someone would be able to perform a magic trick on the phantom thief himself. Kaito was honestly impressed, being able to teleport a dozen of people into a massive room wasn't easy.
Maybe it was an illusion? But then his surroundings would be more hazy and unlogical.
The point is, somehow KID got kidnapped within the snap of a second.
The moonlight thief glanced around the room, taking in the new territory.
He spotted Aoko, Akako and Hakuba whispering in a corner and half of the room was filled with the police task force.
Kaitou KID sighed once he spotted the detective boys chatting with the Kid Killer along with his 'neechan'. Conan and Haibara looked around warily and Ran looked nervous too..
The room itself was comfortable looking. Couches, beanbags and a table full of snacks gave it a welcoming atmosphere.
Suddenly a girl with short blue hair appeared, got out a small chair and climbed on top as she cleared her throat.
"Ladies, gentleman and the rest! Welcome to a sensational experience that I wanted to share with you!", she bowed before dusting her suit and smilling.
She was about to continue speaking but got interrupted by Nakamori Keibu.
"Who do you think you are you Kid-wannabe! You kidnapped us and not only that! You interrupted a heist and because of that the thief probably got away with the gem!"
The girl smirked and watched the police officer with amusement before replying.
"First of all, I'm not some Kid-wannabe. My name is Icecore.
Seconde of all, how can a thief steal from a museum without being there?", she said and nodded her head towards Kaito in his KID outfit.
Kaito was glad for wearing his monocle and having a pokerface, because in a situation like this he felt caught like a bird in a cage.
Only then after, it being pointed out, everyone noticed the magician in the room. Kaito did his best to smile," My, my looks like I have an audience. Icecore-san what you did is quite impressive, but care to tell me why you kidnapped us all?",the thief was overall tense but he was glad the task force didn't attack him. This situatiom wasn't quite fit for the whole cat and mouse game.
The kidnapper smiled brightly," I want to expose you!", she said with the most innocent glee as if she wasn't about lift a sercret going on longer than eight years.
Before Kaito could refuse the girl got out a projector," I'm gonna expose you in form of an anime! So please take a seat because I won't take no for an answer. Trust me I'm able to keep you all here, you wouldn't be the first."
She continued to plug some wires while humming a song as everyone stared baffled. Conan and Hakuba sent her a glare but also looked at the phantom thief in curiousity. Great. Now the two detectives would definetly arrest him, if Keibu doesn't do that before.
Damn it, if this ends he'll probably have to forge a new identity or something.
After a few protests of the others everyone got settled. Except for Kaito who crouched next to the teen," You do know that this information could be dangerous to leak Icecore-san?"
"Yes and?"
Kaito scowled and Ice chuckled.
"Trust me, I'm helping you."
Kaito didn't know what she ment but gave up. He didn't have time to argue with an unhinged child. So the thief akwardly sat next to the two highschool detectives, one currently in a childs body, and prayed that this wouldn't end in handcuffs.
He could hear the detective boys gush in excitement and Kudo sending him a wondering look. Aoko and and Akako sat with them somewhere in the corner along with Ran and the kids while the police force got comfortable in the back.
Kaito could feel all the stares shift from him to the screen and sighed.
Let's get this over with.
