Summary:
With a bit of luck (and blackmail) Hermione has become the youngest department head at the ministry. Her dreams of house elf equality would be coming to fruition- if it weren't for the mysterious disappearances, stolen artifacts, and even darker discoveries. To Hermione's great displeasure, she must enlist the help of the only available auror. He's impolite, unprofessional, and entirely indifferent to her cause.
