Chapter Text

Warning: Smut

The sun had already set by the time they had arrived home. Both Jr and (y/n) were fast asleep in the car. Jack turned off the engin and turned to look at her. She was so peaceful and relaxed. Jack didn’t want to wake her up but he had to. He unbuckled his seat belt and put his hand on her shoulder. He slowly shook her.

“Love, my love wake-up… we are home,” Jack said softly to her.

(y/n) slowly started to move and she let out a groan. As she woke up more, she looked around only to realize they were at Jack’s house. She slept for most of the car drive back.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize I had fallen asleep,” she said with a big yawn.

“It’s no problem… You looked very peaceful,” Jack replied as he got out of the car.

(y/n) followed suit. Jack went around the back of the car and opened the door. He unclipped Jr seat belt and carried him out the car. ‘Jack really was a caring dad… Shame he takes his crushes to the extreme’, she thought to herself.

Jack opened the door with his free hand and they entered the house. (y/n) went upstairs and Jack followed behind. Before (y/n) went into her room Jack motioned for her to wait for him. Jack went into Jr’s room and put him to bed. He soon came out to meet her. They stood there for a moment, not knowing what to say.

“You probably have a lot of questions to ask me. Jr is going over to his mother’s house tomorrow for the week so we’ll have all the time in the world for you to ask me,” he told her quietly as so not to wake up the sleeping child.

“Are there going to be more people after me now?” She asked nervously.

Her life had already changed so much in the past 48 hours from being a nobody cashier to the fiancée (not by choice mind you) of one of the riches men in America. She needed to know if her life would be in any further danger.

“I will be honest with you… most likely. I do have a lot of competition in my business sector”, Jack replied honestly to her.

He needed to try and build trust with her. He put his hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

“I promise nothing else will happen to you as long as you stay by myside”, he said with a soft smile.

(y/n) couldn’t really believe him, but her body was too tired to fight with him right now. She just needs some space to think about all of this.

“Thank you, Jack, for coming to help us,” she replied politely.

They stood there not sure what to do now. Jack took his chance and lowered his head down. (y/n)’s heart started to race. ‘Is he going to kiss me?!’ She thought as a blush formed on her face. She closed her eyes and felt a pressure on her forehead. Jack planted a soft kiss on her forehead. When she opened her Jack was staring back at her.

“Um, well I should probably go to bed. Been a long day and all, Goodnight!” She said hastily as she walked into her room.

She quickly closed the door behind her and face planted onto her bed. ‘Ugh, I can’t believe I blushed in front of him, I’m such a dork’, she thought embarrassedly. She quickly got up from her bed and changed her clothes. (y/n) lie back down in her bed trying to get comfortable, but she couldn’t stop thinking about everything that happened today. Her mind soon started to slow down and she drifted off to sleep.

Jack was having the same problem. While he was getting ready for bed, he kept thinking about the kiss over and over again. He hadn’t felt that way for some time now. He kept trying to say to himself that it wasn’t a big deal, only a forehead kiss, but it made him feel so much more. He went to bed but couldn’t sleep. (y/n) was on his mind the whole time distracting him. The way she blushed at him and how she looked at him. If only she wanted him too, he wouldn’t have held himself back. He felt himself grow hard under his trousers. There was only one way he could solve this. He pulled out the lotion and tissues from his dresser by his bed. While he pleasured himself, he only thought of her. It didn’t take long to release the tension. Once he was finished, he felt guilty for what he had done but, he knows he would do it again when his feeling of lust got too much. He cleaned up and soon fell asleep.

The next morning (y/n) was awoken to a knock at the door. She was tired and didn’t want to answer it, so she just went back to bed. (y/n) did feel a lot better than she did yesterday after the fight. The banging at the door got louder. She groaned and got out of bed to answer the door. She opened it to find Jack standing at the door with a tray in his hand. He had a large book under his arm and was already dressed.

“I thought I would bring you breakfast in bed but I couldn’t open the door with my hands full. I didn’t wake you up, did I?”, he said shyly.

“No, it’s okay”, (y/n) replied while rubbing her eyes.

She moved out of the way to let Jack in.

“Has Jr left already?” (y/n) asked making small talk.

“His Mom picked him up only 20 minutes ago. Don’t worry he will be back next week”, he replied reassuringly.

(y/n) had a little smile on her face. Jr was very much growing on her and she was glad he was okay after being kidnapped.

“I made you breakfast, better eat up! We have a big day ahead of us,” he said as he placed the tray down on her dresser.

He took the book out from under his arm. He sat down on her bed and patted the space next to him. (y/n) complied and sat next to him leaving a space between the two. Jack didn’t like this and wrapped his arm around her bringing them closer together. (y/n) let out a little noise at the contact. She looked down to see what Jack was showing her.

“Since we finally have sometime alone, I thought it would be a great idea to plan our ceremony,” he said chipperly.

(y/n) had almost forgotten she was getting married to him, not like she had a choice. ‘Maybe if I find it and burn a it. They’ll be no evidence of the contract,’ she thought to herself. Jack started flipping through the pages.

“I was thinking of this kind of table cloth…. And maybe this cake, but then again, I don’t really like the blue frosting…” Jack continued on.

She wasn’t paying too much attention. (y/n) hadn’t really thought about getting married until now. She hadn’t dated someone in a long time and wasn’t looking. She just smiled and nodded at Jack.
“-And today I thought would be the perfect day to go flower shopping together, pick something you like”, Jack said with a smile.

‘Something I would like…’ She did like the idea of that. She never really got to pick anything in her life. Everything she really wanted in her old life was too expensive, like having a better flat, nicer clothes or even more free time.

“Yeah, I like that idea, we should go”, she replied with a soft smile.

Just because she didn’t want to get married didn’t mean she couldn’t enjoy some of the perks to come with it.

“Great, I will give you some time to get ready then,” Jack said happily.

He was practically skipping out the room with joy. It made (y/n) laugh. She preferred this side of him over the crazy one.

She went over to check out the breakfast he ‘made’ her. She recognized it was just items off of the breakfast menu at ‘Jack in The Box’. She wasn’t surprised he did own the company and appreciated the effort. She ate her food and quickly hopped in the shower. She had her own en-suite to get ready in. After her warm shower she felt fully awake. She finished the rest of her skincare routine, got dressed and headed down stairs.

“Ready to go when you are,” she told Jack when she saw him.

He led her out to a car, weirdly different from the other two. He opened the back door for her and then she entered, followed by Jack.

“Val’s flower shop, please Michael”, Jack told the driver.

They soon started to move off. (y/n) was able to get a better look at the neighborhood Jack lived in. All the houses were giant and were detached houses with large gardens. She felt so out of place now. She was then snapped out of her thoughts by Jack.

“It should only be a 25-minute car journey, Honey”, he told her.

“How many cars do you have? I been in a different one every time”, She asked curiously.

“Oh, I don’t own all of them,” he chuckled, “I pay for private cars and drivers when I don’t feel like driving”.

She felt a little silly, but that made a lot more sense to her now.

The rest of the drive went quickly and gave (y/n) sometime to herself.

“We are here!” Jack said chipperly.

(y/n) looked out her window to see the store, it was between two town houses in the city. It was painted green making it standout compared to all the stores around it. There were baskets of different flowers outside. The sign outside looked handwritten with care.

The car came to a stop and Jack and (y/n) got out of the car. The driver rolled down the window and Jack had a small chat with him. (y/n) was too busy looking at the beautiful shop to care.

Jack walked over to her and took his hand in hers. It made her blush a little. It was only now she had noticed she never took off her engagement ring. She wondered why she hadn’t yet.
They entered the shop and started to look around. An older lady came out from behind the counter and went over to them.

“Oh, you must be Jack, and your fiancée, (y/n). We spoke on the phone. I’m Val, nice to meet you both. I’ll let you have a look around for bit while I get the paperwork for you.” she said happily. She then walks into the back door out of the main store.

Jack turns to (y/n).

“Do you see any you like?” He asked her happily.

She looked around the store and spotted something she recognized. The flowers that grew in her family’s garden when she was young. It made her flash back to running around her family home with her cousins. She hadn’t told them about her engagement to Jack yet. She wanted to wait a bit before to see if there was a way, she could get out of it.

“Those ones, I would love to have them, Jack”, she told him happily.

“What a wonderful choice, my love”, he replied.

All these new nicknames were making her feel funny. ‘Maybe I’m getting sick,’ she thought as the temperature on her cheeks raised.

The owner came back with some papers. She motioned for her to follow them over to the counter. (y/n) told her what flowers she was wanting in her bouquet. Jack’s heart fluttered thinking about there special day and how excited (y/n) seemed to be about it.

“What a great choice. I’ll start making the orders and have them done in time for the ceremony,” Val said politely.

“Is there any way I could get a bouquet of them to take home now,” Jack asked.

“Of course,” Val replied happily.

After putting down a deposit, they soon left. (y/n) was thinking more positively about the wedding but still nervous.

“These flowers are for you,” Jack said handing them over.

“Thank you,” She replied. (y/n) had never had flowers bought for her. It made her feel special.

They weren’t sure what to do next and she was starting to get hungry again.

“Why don’t we go for a coffee?” She asked Jack.

It would give her time to ask him more questions which she had been dying to do.

“That is a great idea”, he replied excitedly.

They walked down the street together. People did stare at them, but Jack was kind of a well-known face so who wouldn’t. They found a small café and went inside. (y/n) recognized the name but she couldn’t place where she had heard it from.

Jack walked up to the counter and she followed. He started to chat to the barista when all of a sudden, she heard her name.

“(y/n)?” the sound came from her sister.

“Martha”, she said shocked.

She was mentally panicking. She wasn’t ready for her family to find out about Jack. (y/n) covered her ring with her other hand.

“Where have you been? Your landlord called us to say you moved out all of a sudden and you weren’t answering your phone. Do you know how much worry you have put us through?” Martha said to her upset.

“I can explain everything… You just need to calm down”, She said trying to not upset her.

How could she forget this is the store her sister worked in. She felt so silly.

“And who is this ice cream man you are with?” She asked confused.

(y/n) started to sweat. Before she could answer Jack spoke.

“I’m her fiancée, Jack. It is wonderful to meet you, Martha.” He said with a smile putting out his hand for her to shake.

Martha just stood there in shock.

‘Oh god, we are both going to die’, was the only thing (y/n) could think of. If only Jack hadn’t said anything.

Jack could only think of how happy he was to finally meet someone close to (y/n). He just wanted to be nice and make her happy.
