Chapter Text
There were objects lying around, but it didn't hinder the mommy cat's movements, as she walked forward to a rough figure resembling a humanoid shape. It was placed on top of a makeshift pedestal using paint canvases and wooden planks. There are herbs placed on a cute plate that was a child's toy as if it's the shrine's offering altar.
Mommy cat is pregnant with a small lone kitten and her due is near, yet she didn't hurry. She placed her small paws and leaned over, resembling a kneeling position for a long time in front of its "shrine".
Mommy cat:「 My lord, I came to pay my respects 」
There is silence, her ears were tilted back and the mommy cat's eyes are peacefully closed.
Mommy cat:「 May all love blossom under your name and be cherished for thousands of years 」
It's quite ironic that the unnamed god's only believer is a cat. Mommy cat continued to "kneel" for a few more minutes then stood up, initiating a closing ceremony of it making an "offering" consisting of herbs and roses, respectfully cleaning the past offerings that remained untouched, then giving blessings to the "statue".
The shrine had a bunch of claw marks because mommy cat is the one who made the shrine herself. Her shrine is in an abandoned shelter in the middle of nowhere, so after finishing the ritual - she left using a small opening from a plank that fell off.
Meow
Time to go home and continue her nest for the little one.
"Madame, the roses had been ruined once again," Says Ron who was quick at her side.
Drew had an amused smile, she placed her arms protectively on her chest and glanced at the ruined garden. Leaves and petals lay pitifully on the ground, branches flew on the paved walkway, and broken outdoor vases paint a bad light on the household.
"Order new plants and replant the roses," Drew lovingly laughed, "And I'm guessing it didn't work again?"
"Yes, madame"
"What a cute cat, we used to be close when she was a kitten, you know? But then when there's a new kitten coming-" Drew watched the servants clean up the mess.
"-She suddenly became hostile"
Ron quietly listened.
"As they said before, it may be because of the cat's pregnancy that changed her behavior," Ron thought of it deeply, "And we may have to think of other methods to be able to capture the cat and help her give birth safely"
Ron stepped closer, "-And the cat's tummy is bulging, we have to think of a method soon"
Ron witnessed the garden being torn to shreds and flowers being plucked apart, then dragging the cat's "picked" flowers off somewhere. He can see that the cat had a bulging tummy, indicating that her due is near.
"I know Ron- " Drew laughed, her sharp eyes couldn't be hidden, "-I just really missed my little cat"
"What if she got sick? Or weak? What if the kitten didn't survive?"
Drew patiently held tuna out for the cat, painted the cat, and played with the cat. She even let Cale have a few playtimes with the cat, but it was too indifferent and Drew was the only one who can tolerate such treatment.
"I know, madame"
Madame really loved and cherished the small cat that accompanied her throughout the years, despite the cat itself treating her with disdain.
"Would it be great if we had a family pet, Ron?"
Ron was still examining the ridiculous amount of property damage when he choked at Drew's question.
"It... It would be great, madame..."
"I knew it!"
Drew smiled and clasped her hands together, before joyfully leaving the room and making her way to her husband's office.
Is he hallucinating? Or are there flowers blooming around the madame today? Whatever it was, Ron kept his mouth shut. He doesn't think that the cat would make a great family pet. The cat was just playing in the garden when it was almost destroyed half of it.
The cat could destroy the whole county if it wanted.
Haaaa...
