It was supposed to be a special night between Kanao and her lover Tanjiro because it's been a donkey's age since they both had a lovely night with just the two of them without their friends,family,or workmates.Various activities were planned for them to enjoy even before the day of their date,they were supposed to watch and admire the apparent descent of the sun below the horizon,to watch a movie on a big screen,share sweet flavored cold ice cream,eat a fancy dinner in a restaurant,and to entertain themselves in the arcade but it didn't happen,the reason for that is when she suddenly felt her whole mood dropped and her face suddenly twisted in pain she felt on the lower part of her stomach.Kanao tried to prevent him from going back to their shared apartment along with her when Tanjiro noticed the discomfort she's feeling while walking around the mall but he told her she needs proper rest,so in the end Kanao let Tanjiro drag her away.They were both outside the mall and infront of an ornamental structure in a pool form which more jets and endless of water are pumped into the air, just outside the mall.
"Let's just go watch a movie."Kanao said while both of them are still walking towards the parking lot and not wanting to ruin their night.
"I can clearly see the pain in your face right now Kanao,so let's go home now."The man holding her hand said and stopped walking both are still in front of the fountain,with no hint of sadness or even anger on his face,it just feels like his mind is stuck in a loop of anxious thoughts.
"B-but Tanjiro we're on a date,we planned this since last week,we don't have to cancel our date just because of me."Kanao said with a shamefaced expression that she was as guilty as sin.
"Kanao if you're worried about our date,please don't be,it's not like it's going to be our last date,we can go on a date tomorrow,next week!,and even next month!,what I'm saying is we can do it anytime."Tanjiro said and flashed her his sweet smile,a smile with all the love she'll ever need,she just stared at the waters dancing and flowing majestically.
"B-but it's our anniversary...."Kanao said in a low voice but enough for him to hear her voice full of an expression of distressing emotions that's slowly suffocating her and started feeling heavy in her chest,Tanjiro just squeezed her hand and smiled at her in hopes of getting rid of the guilt and sadness she's feeling right now and suggesting that it's alright.
"We can celebrate another time,it's not like it's our last anniversary,we can just watch a movie in our apartment."Tanjiro said and Kanao just sighed and reluctantly nodded her head while holding the hem of her pink dress.They both agreed to just go on a simple date instead of buying each other gifts because they always do it in their anniversary so they wanted to do it in a different way by agreeing in making it simple but memorable.
Both of them went inside his car when they saw it and started driving away from the mall.Kanao could still feel the pain in her pelvic area and groaned slightly in pain that his boyfriend noticed and took a short concerned glance at her before setting his eyes again on the road.
"We'll get home later and can order food through a delivery service."Tanjiro said while smiling at her,she wanted to ask God how did she deserved to get a sweet man like him.He was perfect in everything he does not just in her eyes but in everyone's eyes,no wonder a lot of ladies swoon over this handsome man with her,she was too lucky that he chose her despite her flaws and imperfections and sometimes she feels like she doesn't deserve him at all but he doesn't seem to care when she thinks of that instead he proves her wrong by doing and showing her all the languages of love.
"ok."Kanao said and gave him a pained smile.
"Do you want to go to the hospital?Did you eat something that made your stomach upset?"Tanjiro asked.
"N-no I don't think it's necessary and I don't think I ate something nasty,I think I might have an idea why this is happening to me right now."Kanao said with her face crumpled and her mind screaming in agony.
"What is it?"Tanjiro asked again and Kanao just told him she'll tell him later because felt her eyes heavy and fell asleep in the car.
When they reached their destination Tanjiro's nose could pick up a faint distinctive 'metallic' smell coming from the woman beside her.Tanjiro tapped Kanao's shoulder to wake her up that took only a few taps before she finally woke up, her eyes widened in shock with anxiety filling her up.
"Ta-tanjiro I think I got my period."Kanao said in a low voice and soft voice like a calm wind whispering to his ears.
"O-oh here take my jacket and wrap it in your waist."Tanjiro said and took off his black jacket arriving to form a conclusion on his mind with no solid evidence that she stained her dress already and helped her wrap it on her waist.Tanjiro went outside first to open the door on Kanao's seat and when both of them got outside the car they saw a little blood stain on Kanao's seat which she saw.
"Thank you and I'm really sorry about that,I'll clean it up tomorrow."Kanao said and looked down on her feet with embarrassment and wanting the ground to swallow her up.
"It's fine really don't apologize to something you didn't know would happen."Tanjiro said and smiled warmly and inviting like a long awaited summer breeze that made her heart leap in joy and her white snow cheeks slowly turned bright pink.Both of them went inside their apartment and Kanao took a really quick refreshing shower,when she finished showering Kanao put on her black sweatpants and white shirt that Tanjiro prepared for her before she entered the bathroom,after that she went to their room to dry her hair using the hair dryer and when she finished doing it she went outside their room to look for Tanjiro who was in the kitchen heating water on the electric kettle.
"Tanjiro...."Kanao called out his name longing for him and Tanjiro turned around and stopped on what he was doing and saw her hair tied up into her usual hairstyle with her beautiful butterfly pin securing it.
"Hey Kanao here take this and rest on the couch,I'll make you a tea ."Tanjiro said with a smile and offered her a compress bag with hot water in it that Kanao accepted and placed it on her abdomen before turning away from her to look for a cup in the dish cabinet.
"Want to join me?"Kanao asked and gave him a back hug clinging and inhaling his sweet fragrance which Tanjiro enjoyed being wrapped up in her arms.
"Later,after I finish making your tea and the food will arrive later,go on ahead and rest on the couch."Tanjiro said and faced her to kiss her forehead,Kanao just nodded and laid down on their soft couch while placing the compress bag on her abdomen.
They started living together ever since her sisters joined together in holy matrimony,her eldest sister Kanae left their mansion and is living with her husband and has two children now and Shinobu her older sister was still in their mansion with his husband she wanted to stay with her but it felt like she was invading their privacy,Shinobu thought before that she was the reason why Kanao left the butterfly mansion so she had to explain everything that it wasn't her fault she left their mansion and she said that she wants to be with Tanjiro,she wanted her and her husband to start living without her,Kanao wanted them to have their own family that's why she made that decision.
Living with him was a new thing she experienced,it was terrifying at first she kept thinking if they would be in sync living under in one roof,it was also hard because despite their several similarities they also have numerous differences that made it hard adjusting to their new life style but that didn't stop them from ending their relationship instead it made their bond even stronger than before by learning from each other each passing day and living with Tanjiro for a year and eight months they learned more about each other everyday together that made their love for one another blossom even more like flowers.
Blessing,Tanjiro was a blessing to her,to his family,and friends he always takes care of Kanao with such delicate and great care whenever she's sick or if she's in pain,and she's also pretty sure that he always does that for his family even before Tanjiro could do it to her.
𝘏𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘢𝘺...𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵-𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨?!""Kanao thought and suddenly she felt like she got struck like a lightning in realization,Is he even ready for such thing?,What if the flames in their love suddenly turns into ashes?,What if he doesn't want to get married?,Will the spark in their love continue to ignite?Those thoughts suddenly hit her like a racing truck.In their seven years of dating no one would know what will happen in the next few days,weeks,or years.She didn't want to be negative on their anniversary but she can't help it,their night was cancelled because of her,so she stopped it and think positive things for her and Tanjiro is kind,loyal,caring, loving, considerate and forgiving for her to let him go,only a person with low intelligence would do that.Kanao considered herself lucky that she was given a man like him,she kept thinking about him for a few minutes and didn't noticed Tanjiro walking towards her with a cup of tea on his hand,she kept staring at him like he had been an angel out of heaven but before she could stop herself from spilling embarrassing words her mouth and brain betrayed her.
"Please marry me."Kanao exclaimed not even realizing what she said and was now indian sitting on the couch that caused Tanjiro to freeze and his heart to beat abnormally while his face was glowing hot red and was still looking at his beloved woman.
"What?....wait I said that out loud didn't I?oh my-that's not wh-what I meant!I don't want to marry you!I mean I do want to but not now maybe next we-no no!I'm just kidding!"Kanao rambled showing a state of self-conscious confusion and distress and buried her face on her palms,Tanjiro sat on the couch beside her and placed the tea on the small table in front of the couch and slowly removed her hands covering her face,he stared at her like a beautiful piece of art and she stared back with a bit of embarrassment still rising from within her.
"I'm sorry...."Kanao said while still being embarrassed and looked away from him that made Tanjiro chuckled in response.
"I'm supposed to be the one proposing to you."Tanjiro said and flashed her the brightest smile that could blind someone's eyes,Kanao just tilted her head because her brain is still trying to process what he said that took her a few seconds to respond and understand what he said.
"Huh wh-what are you talking about?!"Kanao said producing much noise than her usual tone and her face was covered with dark shade of pink.
"Let me buy you a ring first and I'll be the one proposing to you."Tanjiro said with a smile,Kanao couldn't tell if what he said was something to provoke laughter or if he was in a serious state of mind.
"A-are you serious?or are you just....... joking?"Kanao said while looking at her hands on her lap.
"Look at me and tell me if you think I'm joking, you have pretty and good eyes,I'm also sure that you weren't kidding when you suddenly proposed."Tanjiro said and chuckled,he cupped her chin to make Kanao look at him and she finally looked at him with a blush visible on her cheeks,Tanjiro removed his hand from her chin and Kanao cupped his cheeks with both of her hands and moved closer to him and stared at his eyes,she looked at it for a few seconds trying to see if he's really requiring careful consideration or serious thoughts on what he said and it turns out he actually did.
"B-but are you really sure?I mean are you really sure about me?"Kanao asked hoping for a positive answer.
"Yes,I actually wanted to do it for a long time but I'm just waiting for your go signal."Tanjiro said and moved closer to her until their foreheads touched that finally made Kanao's eyes brighten and her lips finally formed into a smile when she heard his words,even though the physical suffering and discomfort she's feeling is still there it's a good thing that the compress bag helped ease the pain she's feeling and somehow his words and actions helped her a bit,Kanao couldn't stop her heart from being extremely happy.
"What are you waiting for?just kiss me already."Kanao demanded and chuckled along with him.
"You're really demanding right now."Tanjiro said and granted her demand,their lips finally met and their bodies pressed together heatedly while breathing heavily as their lips pressed together that both of them could taste their shared breath, feeling the thud of the lovers combined heartbeat as they continue to taste each other's lips.Tanjiro pulled away first when he felt like he was running out of air and both of them just decided to watch a movie while waiting for their food.

A week had passed and their date happened that was located in a place where there are millions of golden grains of sand and deep water is infinite with a brilliant sky, adorned with flashes of pink,orange and purple, mirroring the colours of a flawless seasoned apricot.All of their activities were specially planned by Kanao in order to make it up to the date that was ruined last week,after they had a good afternoon they ate dinner together while admiring the black heavens with a large pearl causing the sky to have a milky glow and shining white glitters surrounding it and when they finished eating he assured her that no one will work harder to make her happy or cherish her more than him then Tanjiro asked Kanao for her hand in marriage properly that made her happiness blooms in emotional warmth and tears escaped her lilac eyes and said yes to him while admiring the fine crystalline and dazzling diamond ring he bought,She hugged Tanjiro tightly to warm his kind heart,an act of telling him how much she loves him and Tanjiro hugged her back also telling her how much he loves Kanao.Their night ended up in with tons of kisses and hugs that ended up late under their sheets.
The next day their phones feel like it's about to explode with the sound of the notifications from their social media accounts that woke them up from their slumber congratulating the newly engaged couple and all of them were clearly over the moon when they saw their post last night but they chose to ignore it for a while and continued cuddling with each other again in their bed with their blanket keeping their exposed skins covered not caring about their clothes last night scattered everywhere in their room.
Who knew she would get married just by daydreaming about her lover and by having a slippery tongue?well one thing she's sure is that his lover made it possible and they're both ready to face a new future together.
