Dear Bee,
Oh, where shall I begin? This is my first attempt at journal writing, or rather writing for someone.
And why a bee, you ask?
Well, my dear friend, I thought it appropriate to name you after your vibrant yellow cover, which is reminiscent of sunny days and sunflowers.
In addition, the story as a whole is enriched by the name, doesn't it? Please concur; I require moral support (note for later).
Now, allow me to try to figure out why I went on this drawing adventure. I have to admit that I am not entirely certain of myself. It's as if an invisible force has pulled my fingertips toward the paper, prompting me to pour my thoughts and feelings into its inviting pages.
Perhaps it all started with my bold decision to leave Ireland and walk the bustling London streets, my new home, just two weeks ago. I'm here, looking for solace in the pages of my new imaginary companion, my excitement mixed with a hint of anxiety.
Bee, it's true that life has been rather turbulent recently. I still feel the pain of losing my beloved father. It's as if the world has turned on its axis, leaving me behind in utter instability.
So, in search of a fresh start in London's vibrant cityscape, I found myself leaving behind a mother whose fashion sense matched the most opaque shade of beige. The relief of no longer being covered in yellow from head to toe! My dear, it's a small victory nonetheless (I must emphasize that I have nothing against your color).
However, let us not overlook the peculiarities of life because I have a talent for comic mishaps despite never being in charge of myself. Perhaps my notes here will serve as a reminder to find humor in life's quirks.
Take, for instance, my most recent venture into dating, which can be compared to a roller coaster ride with unexpected turns. Bee, you would have laughed a lot as you watched the disasters happen.
I was there, nervously gliding left and right, only to find myself in a disastrous encounter full of awkward silences and expectations that weren't right. To put it mildly, it was a comedic series of blunders. Even when things go wrong, I seem to be good at making the ordinary extraordinary!
Bee, in point of fact, I write because I need a friend. Someone to listen to my confessions and share my successes and failures, or rather, a few pages of paper. Putting pen to paper and knowing that even if those words are silent, they will provide me with companionship and understanding brings me some solace. A connection is made with each stroke, serving as a lifeline to the world outside of my isolated existence.
So here I am, letting you, my dear Bee, into my heart. As confidants and co-conspirators, we will embark on this delicious journey together. Who also knows? Perhaps, simultaneously, I will find the phenomenal in the midst of the normal, the uncommon inside me. I hope to uncover the buried depths of my soul and weave tales that will make it tremble with laughter or vibrate with pleasure in each adventure written in ink.
Until the ink returns to the page and the stories within us weave together to form a companionship that transcends space and time.
And, fortunately, that my fashion choices never include the dreaded yellow tones! (However, always you).
