It's been, 2 years since Ava fought Adriel. That was, Ava's last fight, the last time she and Beatrice saw each other. The day, Beatrice had to let Ava into the Ark without knowing what the other side was. She didn't know if Ava would come back, she didn't know if she was dead or in pain and she could do nothing but wait and she did. But, as the years went by, Beatrice understood that there was no way Ava would come back to her and she spent a long time tortured by that. Until she found the courage to at least try and move on even though that seemed impossible at the time. But even after she got to find someone, in the back of her mind, she was still wondering where Ava was, if she survived.
Ava didn't manage to find a way back to Beatrice all this time even though she tried really hard with all her power she couldn't come back for many different reasons. She had no idea how long she had been in the Ark she had no idea it's been 2 whole years.

It was a calm Sunday night. Beatrice had just traveled from the Alps to Madrid because she wanted to see Mother Superior and Camila. She wasn't ready for what was going to happen next, though.
Beatrice walked inside the castle where she saw Camila and Mother Superion standing. She came towards them and gave Camila a big hug right away. Then walked in front of mother Superion and nodded
"Mother Superion, Camila. Everything alright?"
"Not quite"
Camila said
"What's wrong?"
"We've been meaning to call You. We have some, updates on, the Ark"
Mother Superion said, Beatrice looked at her shocked. She stood still. The Ark? The Ark? The one she sent Ava into? Now?
"I don't understand"
"Come with me"
Camila said. They entered the room where the Ark was after Camila grabbed Beatrice's arm and guided her there. Of course, Beatrice felt strange after seeing it again. An old memory came to her. She was reminded of that day and all of the sudden, she was sitting on the Ark again by herself, without Ava.
"Are you okay?"
Camila said, Beatrice looked down
"Why are we here Camila?"
"The Ark has been, weird lately. I don't know how to explain it but, maybe you can. Because it seems like, someone's trying to, pass through"
"You don't think that- could it be?"
Camila shook her head with insecurity she didn't want to get Beatrice's hopes up. Beatrice took a deep breath
"It's not like i can do something about it. You how hard i've tried, how many time i've wasted on this, thing"
Beatrice moved to a chair and sat down. Camila moved closer to her and sat next to her
"Look Beatrice. This, might be your chance. Don't you wanna see her again? Don't you wanna know what happened to her?"
Was that even a question? Of course she did. More than anything in her world. She spent 2 years thinking about that possibility every single night.
"Of course i do. But what if what i find out is, bad. Like, really bad?"
"It's better than not knowing. Don't you think?"
"I am just scared. I don't wanna go through it all over again"
The grief, the pain, the heartbreak, the anger, the despair. All of this things Beatrice had to go through and that wasn't even half of it. She wasn't ready to do it again.
But, before Beatrice got to make a decision, the Ark got activated.
"It's happening again"
Camila stood up and drew Beatrice with her. A minor explosion happened, and both Beatrice and Camila plummeted to the ground. Fortunately, they were not injured. Beatrice opened her eyes to see smoke. She got up and helped Camila as well.
"You alright?"
"I think so"
Beatrice walked closer to the smoke, putting her palm in front of her head to protect it. The smoke slowly faded out and then, Beatrice saw someone, was it? It had to be Ava! Beatrice didn't stop; she dashed into the smoke, or what was left of it, and ran to Ava, who was ready to go down; Beatrice caught her, and they both fell down.
Beatrice hugged Ava as tightly as she could. She couldn't believe she was holding her once more. She felt she was dreaming.
Ava backed off after a few seconds, and Beatrice couldn't believe her eyes. She was glancing at Ava as she tried to process it. Beatrice caressed Ava's face while she continued to smile.
"Ava you came back to me"
"I did, i did"
Both Ava and Beatrice chuckled. Beatrice helped Ava get up and they began walking, but Ava became tired, dizzy, and drained. Her eyes were heavy, and her head ached.
"Bea i-" Ava started passing out "Ava. Ava"
Beatrice said, as she held Ava on her feet
"I got you" Beatrice said. She helped Ava walk all the way to the bed and helped her sit down. Beatrice sat next to her
"Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah. I just felt Dizzy"
"You should get some rest"
"Yeah. Probably"
Of course the whole thing was really awkward at first. Ava decided to break the silence though. She had questions too.
"How long- how long has it been?"
Ava said anxiously. Beatrice saw how confused Ava was and she knew things would get ever more confusing for her if she told her that it's been so long
"Ava you need to calm down"
Beatrice said and softly touched Ava's hand. Ava immediately pulled back
"Beatrice! How long?"
"2 years"
"What?"
Ava said she got up, but she couldn't do anything. She felt Dizzy again. Her entire body hurt. Beatrice rushed to her and grabbed her then pulled her down.
"Ava you need rest. Just calm down. I know it's a lot"
Ava nodded, still shocked. She sat up on the bed, Beatrice sat on her knees in front of Ava while holding her hands. Ava felt better almost instantly
"Better?"
"Sorry i just, Is everyone okay?"
"Yeah. Everything is okay. Don't worry. You are gonna be okay. You're safe now"
Beatrice couldn't help it, she touched Ava's cheek softly, Ava rest her head on Beatrice's hand, then she started moving closer, ready to finally kiss Beatrice again. Their noses almost touched, but then, Beatrice put her other hand against Ava's chest stopping her and looked down
"We can't"
Beatrice whispered and after some seconds she pulled back
"I- i've got- i am dating someone"
Ava couldn't believe it. Well, it made sense. Beatrice had to move on. But Ava still loved her, so much, for than anything but of course she didn't want ther. Ava stared at Beatrice shocked
"Oh"
Ava said her voice breaking. Beatrice could see the heartbreak in her eyes and it hurt her as much. She looked down
"I am sorry"
"Don't be. I get it. Forget it"
Beatrice looked at Ava, Ava smiled trying to hold her tears back
"God. You, must have so many questions"
"I do. Ava i really do. I-"
"But i can't give you answers. Not right now. I just- i don't even know where am i going to go now. It's all so, messed up"
"You won't. Come with me, in the Alps. You can stay with me for a while. Just, until we figure things out"
Ava chuckled
"We?"
"Yeah. We'll do it together. We always do"
Ava nodded. She wanted to give Beatrice the biggest hug in the world, but, knowing that Beatrice was now with somebody else, it made her feel bad, weird. She was obviously jealous.
"Thank you"
"Of course....Do you, need anything?"
"No"
Ava said almost immediately
"Okay then, maybe get some rest and we can talk tomorrow"
"Yeah"
