“She’s soft,” Shouto almost gasps as he runs his fingers through silver and black fur. The snow leopard beneath him purrs gently, rubbing her head against his chest. “Thank you, Kats.”
Katsuki presses a gentle kiss to Shouto’s forehead, earning high pitched squeals from their kids a few meters away.
They’re perfect, Shouto thinks, a beautiful blend of himself and his mate. Hiroyuki had Katsuki’s blonde hair and Shouto’s mismatched eyes, while Rei kept the soft white hair and grey eyes her namesake had. But they both unmistakably had Katsuki’s smile and determination, and that’s what Shouto loved the most. Always seeing his alpha in their beautiful children, while watching them grow into their own lives.
This wasn’t the life that Shouto expected, being born an alpha, but now he doesn’t regret a single thing that happened. In the end he’s here, on his dream vacation finally, watching the pups he carried play with baby snow leopards. He thinks the one in his lap is their mom, enjoying a moment of rest just like the two of them.
When the male comes up, leaning against the girl in Shouto’s lap, he smiles softly. Because, like them, they were family, too.
